- Sydney (5/5): - We really loved how friendly the staff is!!! The location was fabulous - there even happened to be an art fair if you turn right and walk a block, and a street food fair if you walk a block to the left! The bed was horrible, we stayed in the Magnolia room. It felt like it was 2 twin beds shoved together, the mattress was hard and bounced every time my spouse moved - we had a horrible night's sleep. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. There was fresh homemade croissant, some sweet cakes, coffee and tea available, but there was nothing warm - no meat, just a boiled egg for protein. It didn't measure up to other B&Bs we have stayed at.
- Michelle (7/5): -
- Marilyn (8/5): - The hosts , the location and the gardens. Breakfast. Same thing both mornings none of it freshly made. Fresh fruit would be nice instead of little bought fruit cups.
- Brenda (10/5): -
- Lynne (10/5): Lovely home with charming accents. Comfortable bed. Clean facilities. Tasty continental breakfast - Lovely home with charming accents. Comfortable bed. Clean facilities. Tasty continental breakfast.

- Patricia (9/5): You couldn't ask for a better location - A beautiful, historic home steps from the park, shops and restaurants.
We had a very warm welcome and excellent communication from the hosts.
Next time I'm in the area I would definitely book again. The house is old so the carpet and beds seem a little tired, but for a short stay I thought it was perfect.
- Marsha (9/5): - Location perfect.
Sandra was an absolute joy.
Room very comfortable but bathroom lighting very dark.
Balcony was amazing as was the back patio. Gardens beautiful.
Will definitely be back
- Kristen (9/5): - The owners/hosts at Bondy House were so friendly and thoughtful they were amazing. Very knowledgeable. Nice location in the quaint town of Amherstberg easy to walk everywhere.
- Faith (10/5): Loved it! - So quaint! The fresh croissants were mouthwatering.
- Eric (10/5): -
- Gordon (9/5): A lovely B&B in a lovely location in a lovely town! - Location was amazing. House was beautiful. Owners were lovely to work with. We didnt have to drive anywhere, we walked all around the parks and the town for everything we needed. The attic room has some headroom issues, but thats it. I personally wish the AC kept the room cooler. Maybe just a small fan or something. But for most of the year that won't really matter.
- Heather (10/5): -
- Tracy (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): We’re coming back - often! - Breakfast gets you started. Location is fantastic: close to the Detroit River, beautiful parks, a wonderland of flowers and shrubs, town eateries, wonderful people. You couldn’t ask for more. That we had to leave. That we couldn’t live here.
- Brian (8/5): Beautiful old home in a lovely village. - Closet to town, walking distance to restaurants In room portable AC was noisy. No option to open a window that I could figure out.
- Charles (9/5): A highlight in our vacation itinerary. - Historical ambience, close proximity to heart of Amherstburg, walks along the Detroit River and the conviviality of the hosts, other guests and neighbours . We liked everything
- Erica (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- Cindi (8/5): Would definitely stay there again. - Lovely house and gracious host. Small but comfy rooms. Perfect location with walk to parks, the waterfront, shops and dining. Breakfast was continental and mostly store-bought pastries.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - We left early before breakfast as we had a long drive home Nothing

- Chih-chi (9/5): Superb - Staff are very friendly and accommodation with the request Nothing
- Milo (10/5): Great B&B experience steps from everything in Amherstburg. Wonderful, clean, well-run, and safe. - We stayed in the large attic room and really enjoyed it. Creative use of all of the available space, but if you're tall, watch your head! Mary greeted us on a late arrival and was lovely the whole weekend. The breakfast spread was perfect, and the location is steps from the major crossroads of Amherstburg. 10/10, we really enjoyed Bondy House! It was great. Truly no complaints.
- Jackie (10/5): Very pleasant. Perfect location. - Clean and comfortable Nothing
- Bezaire (10/5): Review of the Bondy House - it was so quaint and the owners are so friendly. I work across the street and had never met them before. They were so welcoming and made me feel right at home. They were also very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. I had to check in late due to an event at work that day and they were more than happy to accommodate me for that reason.
- Lilian (7/5): Quaint place in a cute town - Perfect spot in walking distance to the river and restaurants.
The house is very unique and quaint. The Tree Top room is lovely with it's own deck and entrance and the renovated attic is a cool place to stay. The very sparse continental breakfast didn't fit with the typical bed and breakfast experience. The store-bought pastries and tiny selection was just too bare.
- Kerry (10/5): Great place and people - The host were fantastic and super helpful and friendly
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- B (10/5): Exceptional -

- Kathleen (10/5): Very enjoyable and accommodating. - Breakfast was good. Nothing.
- Trudy (8/5): Perfect location for attending wedding at Sprucewood. - Bondy House was the perfect location for our visit to Amherstburg and the attending of a wedding at Sprucewood Estates. Downtown was walkable and we enjoyed our time there.
Sandra was a great hostess and we enjoyed kibitzing with her.
Continental breakfast was everything you could ask for.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (8/5): Like going home to Mom and Pops! - Was a charming home and the people made you feel like family. Nothing
- Gignac-macdonald (9/5): Superb - Very quaint and charming home. Owners were very gracious Very narrow stairs to climb up inside from the dining area to our room
- Mathews (8/5): Very good - Place was very charming and the people who owned it were very friendly and went above and beyond. Room was comfortable and location was amazing Was advertised as Bed and Breakfast with full service breakfast, when in fact what we got was pre made pastries laid out in the upstairs nook

- Jennifer (10/5): Beautiful bed and breakfast downtown Amherstburg Ontario - Beautiful property Everything was great
- Andy (9/5): Excellent place to stay. - It was a beautiful old house. Easy walk to the event.
Room was clean, bed was comfortable.
I have nothing bad to say, it was a great place to stay.
- Sandra (5/5): A lovely location and very friendly staff. Disappointing breakfast. - The room was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. Staff were friendly. The continental breakfast was terrible. I would expect better for what we paid. Walls and doors were dirty.
- Pete (9/5): Beautiful quiet area to stay. - The pastry plate was delicious and all we needed to start off our day with coffee. There were other items to choose from but we were satisfied with what we had. The location is perfect, beautiful historical home close to restaurants and park for walking. Very quiet. The ladies, Sandy and Mary who greeted us were very welcoming. Nothing, we enjoyed everything.
- Tina (8/5): Great location, very clean and inviting - Excellent location Basic Plain breakfast
- David (6/5): A charming location, over-ambitious facilities... but also some good memories... Thank you. - Breakfast was satisfactory. Room was very cramped. The AC couldn't deal with the (admittedly exceptional) heat and was very noisy, making it difficult to sleep See above... The hot, rainy weather was exceptional... and the facilities were not really able to cope... Too cramped, hot and noisy to stay inside... but too stormy to be out long... It was a bad combination for both guests and management. Although, the two members of staff we met were both charming. Perhaps, a quieter AC and a slightly smaller bed (or two bunks) would reduce the 'claustrophobia' and allow better sleep... as would cooler, dryer weather! But the management can only control the inside space!
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - Location location location
- Pitzer (9/5): It was a wonderful experience. - The breakfast was wonderful. The owners kept to themselves until I needed something. The upstairs room was not as cool as the outside rooms. Room decorations were fantastic. Temperature of the room but it wasn't incredibly hot but warmer than the other rooms & hall. I had the small air conditioner on so maybe I should of opened the window. No big deal!
- Harry (9/5): We had an enjoyable, comfortable time. - Good adequare breakfast. Self-serve. Access to private bathroom was good. Parking was limited but available on the street. Not really a problem
- Ahmad (3/5): Previous reviews does not match the experience and its not worth the money. - location was okay. Parking was a problem and my car was hit from the back by the host. even though it was a small dent the host did not care to apologize. The room was too small with very little space to move. Bed was not comfortable at all, two small beds were joint to make a king size bed.Hence while sleeping it was moving away. Breakfast could be better.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- John (6/5): Pleasant - Bathroom and the room was too small around the bed.
- Donna (8/5): Very good - Continental breakfast okay
- Geoffrey (8/5): Had a really enjoyable stay. Only a short distance to wineries. Had a great dinner at the Salty Dog tavern. Short walk t - Great location. Close to water and downtown. Nice setting. Enjoyed sitting on porch. Room had its own portable A/C which was a little noisy.
- Christie (10/5): It was a magical place to find..... - I fell in love with the area, the people and the community. I only got to stay one night but there will be more nights! Thank you Thank you Thank you!
- Connie (9/5): It was a very good place to stay!! -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jim (10/5): Welcoming hosts, comfortable facilities, great location -- we'd come back if in the area again! - Our hosts were thoughtful and welcoming with great suggestions for restaurants, etc.
The facility was clean and everything was in working order. The beds were comfortable and the washrooms were recently upgraded!
Continental breakfast included delicious homemade croissants with butter and preserves; as well as boiled eggs, yogurts, muffins, cereals, and more!
The location is perfect! Walking distance to restaurants, waterfront, and park. Amherstburg is a beautiful town! Because we drove from several hours away, we found it stressful to arrive at the exact time our hosts expected us. (Note, there is a fee if arriving late. Thankfully, we arrived on time!)
It's an older building with history and charm which is lovely. That being said, the wooden stairs to our rooms were quite noisy ... creaking.
Note that the owners live in the building so you may see laundry drying on the clothesline by the back deck or footwear at the front door.
- Amaresh (3/5): Location is great everything else is disappointing. - Location and the vintage home Toilet is too tight. Any person above 5'10" will hit the head with the standing shower when standing if not careful.
The sink is outside and one has to touch a lot of surfaces before cleaning hands after toileting.
The hand wash on the sink was diluted with water.
The bedsheets had a lot of fine dust that is felt while breathing after lying on the bed. They should use white linen to make sure they can clearly see the dust to clean it.
There should be provision for a table and chair inside the room to work. The price is very similar or more than hotel rooms. So, this is minimum need for business travelers.
Lastly the breakfast was really disappointing. The primary difference between home based B&B and hotels with breakfast is the quality of breakfast. Here it was exactly the opposite of our previous experience.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly and accommodating staff and comfortable rooms and beds
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional - The Hosts, rooms, beds, and facilities met all our needs and left us feeling very comfortable. It was also very convenient to be able to walk to the water and open market downtown. Was a lovely stay, and I would definitely recommend to others!
- Gerry (7/5): Good -
- Priscila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mou (6/5): It was okay. - The owner was willing to wait for us to check in at 11 pm, which I appreciated. The room is clean. The area is safe. The hostess is pretty friendly. With the price, it is better to stay in a hotel. The room is so small that we had to move the two single beds together to make space for a sleeping bag. We were charged $25 extra for a child (adult) to sleep in our own sleeping bag. Our child did not eat breakfast (by his choice).
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nick (10/5): Great !! - The nicest people on the world, cant wait to see them again !!! Nothing
- Adrian (9/5): Superb -
