• Kim (10/5): Excellent stay in a great location - We stayed for three nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The location is excellent, with easy access to the city either on foot or via tram. Staying on a houseboat was a unique touch and really enhanced our Amsterdam experience. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped and comfortable throughout. The beds were particularly comfortable, which was appreciated after long days exploring the city. It was also pleasantly quiet in the evenings, allowing for a good night’s rest. Overall, a lovely stay and we would happily return. There was nothing significant to note. As expected in Amsterdam, getting around may involve a fair amount of walking or use of public transport, but this is reflective of the city rather than the property itself.
• Drigo (7/5): - Very nice and quiet location. A lot of options in terms of food choices nearby. Public transport is also easy to get to. A bit more on the smaller side than what I initially expected, the lounge/dining area is very cramped. Bathroom also a good size but showing a lot of signs of usage, water stains and limestone.

• maxine (9/5): A great place to stay for canal view and really submerse yourself in the Amsterdam canal vibe - Staying on the canal was a great. Enjoyed waving to all the canal cruise boats as they went past!! Fabulous location, 5 minute walk to trams and metro providing great links around Amsterdam. Vibrant food market over the bridge with diverse range of street food ideal for lunch. Had a little bit of difficulty getting heating going but once we mastered it was very cosy and warm. Jeff was very quick with advise regarding heating and also checked in with us first thing the next morning to see if all was okay! Nothing

• Kikig11 (7/5): Nice stay on the water with easy access to local transportation. - Excellent location, easy to get to public transportation. Loved being able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee while watching the tours boats go by. No explanation about how to use appliances such as clothes dryer. We had difficulty getting the dryer to stay on longer than 3 minutes. Had to constantly empty the dryer water reservoir; something we don’t have in the USA. Eventually had to have the host come and explain it but even then it didn’t work for longer than 3 minutes. Took over 24 hours to dry one small load of laundry.

• H0llyDublin (10/5): Great - would highly recommend! - Location was brilliant, 15min walk to Centre and very close to trams though we didn't use them. There are many lovely cafes just across the canal and a supermarket 5 mins walk away. The houseboat itself was great, much more space than expected and warm, comfy. Hairdryer, towels, tea/coffee all there. I would definitely stay again. Two separate bedrooms and a door on the bathroom (rare find in Amsterdam when we were looking at hotels). Video with a walkthrough of how to use the heating was much appreciated.
• Kaisa (8/5): Good sleep - It was quiet, the beds comfortable and we had a good night sleep. It was also very convenient for a family to have two separate bedrooms. The apartment was clean and everything worked well. The location was a bit far from the historical center. It was the first time we stayed in a house boat and we expected that it would have been somewhat special. In the end, the experience was pretty much the same as in any air bnb. Only the price was a bit high. It was very cold when we entered. The temperature was close to zero and the windows were open. It took some time to warm up the house.

It was also very warm, despite outside being zero temperatures. No problem with there being no cooking facilities but the addition of a microwave would make such a difference! No microwave. Radiators were tempermental but owner was very quick to respond. Shower waste needs unblocking as it floods the bathroom.

• Noelene (6/5): Despite above and enjoyable stay in a beautiful City. - Location. Close to the Heineken Museum and Van Gogh Gallery. Host was inflexible and not helpful regarding entry codes. On arrival at 3:00pm, cleaner was still there, drier was still running and towels left in there for the three days we stayed. One small wardrobe for two couples with one door locked for we presumed the owners belongings. Advertised with toaster, but not there, when highlighted to the host, his comment was get over it and buy fresh bread. He did deliver a toaster the second day however there was no need to be smart about it. Very cluttered.

• Paul (1/5): My family (wife, two sons) and I arrived around 19:00 on June 21, which was a warm summer day. The houseboat was HOT! Al - The thought of staying in a houseboat in Amsterdam. Inside temperature was too hot! No fans, even though description said fans. Property owner and/or manager was unhelpful and underprepared to accept guests on a warm summer day. My guess is he was out of town, and unavailable to assist. Lack of communication when trying to come to a resolution. Awful experience all around. Beware!

Although the area the property is in is still packed with great bars and restaurants away from the main tourist traps Nothing. Although some way of heating food such as a microwave would have been useful.

Unfortunately, the host didn’t disclose that the houseboat is a shared space, and as guests we didn’t get the whole houseboat. Additionally, if the hosts were to spend just a little more money and actually provide furniture in the shared space that works with glasses and plates, it could be a great space.
