Guest Reviews
- Ken (8/5): Given the alternatives, we would stay there again. - Staff very friendly and helpful. It was a plus that they delivered breakfast and had canned food for supper since there are no cafes in the area. Advertising should be more upfront about having to share a washroom. We didn’t know until after the cancellation window was closed.
- Allison (9/5): Super cute experience on the Cassiar - I loved my little construction trailer converted into a room. It was very cute and unique. I didn't love the bathroom situation but I was very close to it.
- David (8/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Most comfortable beds in B.C.! - Extremely comfortable beds. Clean bungalow and the breakfast provided was great. Charming decor. Excellent wifi. Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was extremely helpful, couldn't have ask for better service. Can't say that I didn't like anything. I'm not hard to please. I needed a place to stay and it served the purpose.
- Sheldon (8/5): Very good -
- Vincent (10/5): Best rest spot on the 34 Cassier - The owners (Claudia and Robin) were beyond accommodating. Their staff are awesome, too. Comfortable beds and the store has something for everyone. This reminded me of my Route 66 trip where the owners of these small establishments provide the positive lasting experience of a road trip. That I couldn't stay longer because I had to continue my travels. I would stay here longer, maybe 2 nights or three.
- Joanne (8/5): Hosts were friendly and helpful - Location Felt like our own cabin
- Margaret (8/5): it was great - the jade
- Bronwyn (8/5): A lovely rustic stay with beautiful Jade to look at and purchase! - I love Jade city! This is my second time staying here and my first time staying in the bungalow. The bungalow has a twin bed and a queen size bed. Be aware that there is no running water in the bungalow itself but they provide water for your use. It is rustic, but very clean. The bathroom is shared with several other cabins, but this was never a problem for us. The bathroom is very clean, and there are towels in our bungalow and in the bathroom. The shower has plenty of toiletries. The bungalow has a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a toaster, and several other small appliances. Because it is rustic, you need to remember to plug each appliance in when you want to use it. All of the Jade city rooms are decorated in a very cozy fashion , and make you feel right at home. All of the staff are super friendly and will chat about the mine, the Jade, and living in this beautiful place. I hope I can go back again someday! Nothing
There are lots of mosquitoes but that’s just what it is like in the forest!
- Ronald (9/5): A good place to stay. Good value - Convenient stop on the Cassiar highway. Very comfortable and clean. Good facilities for cooking food as there are no restaurants in the area. Shared bathroom spacious and clean Nothing
- Kochenderfer (10/5): Wish I could've stayed longer. - An absolutely delightful stay in the "bungalow". It's a converted shipping container that was so homey, comfortable, and clean. The amenities were fantastic with plenty of food and water. The share bathroom/showers were just feet away and absolutely clean and well supplied. And the staff, recent immigrants from Ukraine, were so thoughtful, friendly, and very interesting to engage. Most of all, the setting was just so peaceful and the forest air so fresh. Nothing comes to mind.
- Douglas (9/5): Superb - I enjoyed the freedom to move about the property and the unusual boiled eggs. no issues
- Jayne (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (10/5): Great place for a night and day visit - This room was a Jem in the forest !!
The bed was SUPER comfy and the room was spacious and decorated
Upon our arrival after hours was a nice note and food provided!!
It was a fun place to learn about the Jade mines
Great staff! The kitchen had no hot water but they did provide water in a container on the counter
The bathroom was next door in separate building
Very clean
- Joyce (6/5): Pleasant - Staff very nice Very small cabin, bathroom next door, very hot and lots of bugs. Could of used a fan.
- Dave (2/5): Very poor - Plenty of space. Bathroom facilities in another building. Breakfast for two was 4 slices of bread and 4 hard boiled eggs. Bed had thick soft foam pad on top which was very uncomfortable. No running water, just a plastic jug of water in kitchenette. Very poor Internet. Power went out in the morning.
- Paul (4/5): Way too epensive for that type of camp - No air conditioning; strong fragrance in laundry detergent; curtains do not block any light
- Geri-sue (7/5): Not a lot of choices on the Cassiar Hwy, but you will get a super comfortable bed at the Bungalow. - The king bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve been on since our trip started 2 weeks ago. The location was very peaceful. No running water in the unit, although there was a sink & they supplied a couple water containers. No private bathroom in the unit. The bathroom is shared with staff & other guests, although it was close to our unit.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Heidi (9/5): Superb -
- Susi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, clean, comfortable. Nice find in an area where lodging and food is very limited. Microwave and refrigerator so could heat up food. Shared bath/shower room with other rooms was very clean. Liked the Jade store which is worth stopping at even if not staying overnight. Had to share bathroom/shower facilities but that is indicated in listing.
