- Reinhold (10/5): Will love to stay at this property again. - A lot of thought has gone into the preparation of the accommodation.
The hosts, Sonja and Barry, were very caring.
We were welcomed by Sonja. She showed us around and gave us good information about St. Marys. She told us where best to eat.
The garden was beautiful.
Chatting to Barry also was great. As we enjoyed our stay, there was nothing to dislike.
- Melita (10/5): Wholesome and relaxing - This was one of the best places I’ve stayed. The owners go above and beyond and are so welcoming. They even have us fresh eggs from their chickens in the garden, can’t get any fresher than that. The bath is amazing! The place was generally just clean and so interesting. We didn’t have chance to take advantage of the huge outdoor space but we did have a morning walk around and it was gorgeous. Sad we didn’t have longer here! Nothing, couldn’t have asked for any more.

- Kathleen (8/5): Very good - Beautiful room, lovely old style bath, beautiful gardens. 1 minute walk to local country pub. Would be a wonderful place to stay with kids, and room big enough, but no extra bedding options unfortunately. A bit overpriced for a solo traveller
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was exceptional
- Dawn (9/5): Excellent accommodation with an excellent host - The accommodation was excellent. A large breakfast hamper was provided which included cereal, muesli, bread, butter, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, jams, vegemite, nutella, fruit - the nectarines were delicious, bananas and apples. Sonja was an excellent host, and very obliging with anything I needed. They have a lovely garden with fruit trees and a river running through. I can't think of anything that I didn't like ...........
- Reg (10/5): Exceptional - Great Location to surrounding towns Very comfortable room and Barry & Sonja made sure we had everything we needed
- Marilyn (9/5): Superb - We liked everything, the home is beautiful and tastefully decorated and to have a separate kitchen was a great bonus, everything that was supplied was of high quality and there was even fresh hazelnuts from the owners garden and a nutcracker which brought back fond memories, the nuts were fresh and delicious and there was everything that was needed for a continental breakfast. The only thing that we didn't like was the mattress which was very hard and uncomfortable especially for us oldies who both suffer with arthritis and other aches and pains but everything else was 💯
- Glen (10/5): Great spot, friendly/helpful hosts, will stay again - Really friendly hosts, lovely garden to sit in, large accommodation area.
- Paul (10/5): A gem in little town St. Marys - A beautiful old historic house and a very big garden. In the house we were treated with all kind of things( chocolates, hazelnuts from their own garden).
- Gunther (8/5): Peace and quiet and comfort in historic St Mary's - First class, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower
Great period features in spacious accommodation such as pleasant change from the usual contemporary/corporate choices. DIY continental breakfast amply provided for by generous hosts Too short a stay

Comfortable .Simple but nice selection for breakfast .

- Sharon (10/5): Quiet, private, comfy bed - It was private, very clean, located in town, and a good distance from both St Helens and Bicheno. It was comfortable, the shower was hot and strong and the freshly baked bread was fabulous.
- Johannes (10/5): What a beautiful place to stay! -
- Maree (9/5): Superb -
- Adrian (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (10/5): The best B&B I have ever stayed in! - This B&B was exceptional, which is why I have given it the highest rating. There was absolutely nothing I could fault. The whole property consists of a lovely heritage house set in park-like grounds, with a stream (rivulet) running along the border. The garden is filled with fruit trees, a dry stone wall and various sitting areas, and it was a pleasure to explore. Our accommodation was joined to the house, but was off on the side with our own entrance. It consisted of a good-sized lounge with plenty of room for the comfortable bed on one side, a well appointed and stocked kitchen with a generous array of quality items for our continental breakfast, and a lovely bathroom with an amazing bath (and separate shower if required). All three rooms are renovated to a very high standard with some period-appropriate furnishings. The heater was on when we arrived and the room was warm and welcoming, and the heating system could be changed to suit your requirements. Parking was on the property and safely off the road. As an aside, we had a lovely dinner at the pub in the village, sitting beside a wood fire. The food was enjoyable and plentiful and very reasonably priced, with friendly staff making us feel welcome. It was one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in, and would not hesitate to give my full recommendation. Nothing.
- Helen (9/5): A beautiful cottage in a delightful, mountain village. - Quiet location, in the centre of town. Beautiful gardens beside St Marys Rivulet. Three room cottage attached to main house with kitchen, elegant bathroom and lounge/bedroom.

- Lorraine (10/5): Excellent hosts, everything was covered, a really comfy stay. Thoroughly would recommend 🥰 - Absolutely stunning, the accommodation was amazing and met all our requirements. Location was just perfect, the local pub/hotel less than 100 yards away. All was perfect.
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Totally unique experience. - The feeling of stepping back on time and living in the last century! Drove past it initially as it didn’t look like a motel.

The bathroom is magnificent, as is all the accommodation and the bed was wonderful. We will definately be back. Leaving, we wish we had booked for longer.
- Christine (10/5): Lovely, large private apartment with great amenities and comfortable furnishings. - A lovely home in a large garden setting. you have your own private apartment with three large rooms and many amenities. it is as attractive, or more, than the pictures. St Mary’s as a town does not have a lot to offer. but you could just stay in the property and be happy.
