- Justin (10/5): Excellent place to stay. - Size and location.
- Ryan (8/5): -
- Danielle (10/5): - Great house. Old style and eclectic but enjoyable. Hot shower and lovely new bathroom. Coffee machine didn't work.
- Niroop Chowdary (8/5): - We stayed for a night stopover. Felt Comfortable
- Johan (8/5): Very nice location and value especially for 4 couples in autumn and spring, all year if airconditioning is installed in - Good location, 4 nice bedrooms, efficient access key collection., comfortable beds, electric blankets, very clean, good coffee shops and supermarkets near by. No heating or cooling in the 4 bedrooms, only 1 bath room for 8 people, ( forget the outside toilet), the bread that was left behind for breakfast had a best of use by date of 26 March, we where there for breakfast on the 7 th of April, 1 jam container, not enough coffee.

- Tristan (10/5): - good nil

- Tania (9/5): Lovely spacious home with adequate breakfast - Lovely old house, plenty of room for a family. We only stayed 1 night but it would be perfect for a few days as a base to explore the area.
Loved the pool table, comfy beds, modern bathroom, and lounge area.
Adequate breakfast supplies for our family. Carpets in the bedrooms a bit tired.
One bedroom had popcorn under the bedside and bed, so cleaning could be better.
- Lynda (5/5): -
- Felicity (10/5): Pleasant - Was huge Cold
- Saunders (5/5): Had to do a tidy before could eat at dining table - Not clean

- RUKSHANI (10/5): -
- Andrew (5/5): Nice place but be careful of what you’re booking as the added breakfast is different depending who you go through - Easy to book and multiple rooms Internet and reception wasn’t very good. I found possums on the roof which I think was the problem and the host had someone fix the antenna for me.
- Riedlshah (1/5): - Location was good Apparently, we were 1 of 3 bookings taken for the nights we had booked at this house. We only found out when we turned up at the place at about 7pm. Was very disappointed.
We ended up with motel rooms at the motel next door that also owned the property. Were given a $100 credit for dinner for 5 people, and as the restaurant stopped serving at 8.30pm, we ended up missing the bats leaving naracoorte cave, which was our main reason for being in naracoorte. Was a highly disappointing experience!
The staff at the motel were very nice but definitely not the experience we had planned.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very comfortable spacious - A nice homely feel Nothing
- Julia (10/5): Brilliant. Will recommend to others - Attention to detail, cleanliness and outlook. LP records but no record player.
- Alixandra (8/5): -

- Sharon (8/5): Nice night, lovely meal. - Beautiful old building, clean. Leaking roof

- Karen (6/5): Great staff and location.would stay again - Great location to golf club and walking track. Staff onsite were amazing. The fire place was a nice inclusion with wood supplied. My teens boys loved the pool table/darts. All beds with electric blankets and small electric heaters helped the chill of room. Bedspreads look vintage- which may be in keeping of them but as a result some had stains. No dishwasher but was able to have a later checkout to clean dishes etc. carpet also in original condition which detracts from some of the other original features that are special.
- Gaming (10/5): Holidaying in style. - Perfect large old house for families and friends with all the comforts and privacy. Large loungeroom and kitchen. Very comfortable to have 4 bedrooms. One bedroom had king size bed and other 3 with double beds , very spacious. Old world charm and great facilities, the pool room was perfect with darts, karaoke and bar also. Hosts Mario and Alana were very welcoming and would highly recommend eating in the Motels' dining room-The Highlander. Food was excellent 👌 and just a short walk from the house. Only downnside is we wished we had stayed longer. Will definetly be rebooking for a longer stay next time. Thanks to all associated with our stay. My 3 sisters really enjoyed it. Thankyou
- Neville (3/5): Extremely disappointing. - It’s a nice location and it has great potential. Many of the facilities were not properly cared for and in need of maintenance in order for them to be used at all, or used properly (pool cues were all missing felt tips with none available to replace them, fire door was missing a wooden handle, no poker for fire, dishes were dusty - possibly because they are stored in open shelves rather than closed cupboards, table tops felt a little sticky, and refrigerator was not cleaned out following the previous occupant). Some cookware was disgusting and needs replacing. The place was poorly cleaned in numerous respects. There was insufficient firewood supplied for the fire to be used overnight.
Additionally the pool room appeared to double as a storage area for sound & light equipment.
Value for money was non-existent as numerous facilities that made the place appeal to us (the ability to cook our own food, have a wood fire and play pool) were less than satisfactory or unable to be enjoyed at all. I mentioned to the duty manager the fact that I thought a 50% refund was in order given the lack of properly useable services provided, but I have not heard any follow-up from the property owners.
Another Naracoorte property we overnighted in the previous night (the Jazz had been unavailable… thank God!) was $80 cheaper and exponentially better… clean as a whistle, better equipped in every way… clearly planned out and cared for with love and attention to every detail.
Photos included are of the frying pans that should have been binned and replaced long ago.
- Lee (7/5): Good -
- Stacy (9/5): Superb - Excellent communication, easy check in, property matched description and price. Comfortable with everything we needed, fantastic breakfast material was provided. Was a very cold night but heater, fire and electric blankets kept us warm.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Our kids really loved the pool table.
My wife and I liked having a nice restaurant that was walking distance
- Justin (8/5): Vintage home in a stunning location - The house is stunning, the games room is fun and plenty of space for the kids to run around.
The included breakfast was plentiful. The house is old and has a few issues to be expected with old houses. The kitchen is in poor condition and a number of doors/screen doors don't fully close as the house has shifted over time.
- Gehan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabine (8/5): Very good -
- Sara (7/5): Good - All doors open when arrived, with air conditioner on.
No breakfast , despite advertising that it would be supplied
- Shane (5/5): Passable -
- Sophie (8/5): Very good - Nice outdoor space; quirky decor; huge property; very quiet / remote location Air conditioning unit was only in the living room
so the bedrooms were quite warm; few bugs / cobwebs but to be expected given rural location
- Andrzej (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (5/5): Passable -
- Elle (8/5): Value for $ - Having a whole house to ourselves! Beds were comfortable.....bathroom was clean... A couple of spiders & earwigs.. . Which can v be sorted with a visit from pest control.
Also need pegs to hang our washing on the line!!
- Arnab (1/5): Bad - Good location, nice decor and friendly stuff The expectation is that we have to clean our dishes without any dishwashing liquid which is not a very hegenic choice. If booked, should be using disposable cuttleries.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - It was comfortable and amenities were great for our needs with plenty of room to spread out and have our own spaces. Convenient 2nd toilet. Breakfast provisions were also included.
- Woolcock (4/5): Disappointing - Perfect half way point between Adelaide and Melbourne. Very active noisy possums in the walls tree throughout the night and early morning, and unfortunately our one night encountered a few too many little insects and creepy crawlers for our liking …
- Leeanne (8/5): Very good - The dog was a real help playing billiards,
The house was a lovely old home, very
comfortable and welcoming. The bugs /dead flys in my bed . Room4 .
The 3 huntsman spiders. We had to be brave and the baby[18year old] of the family killed them.
- Steven (3/5): It worth the money - Not much Not clean.
No fans in room, house was very hot
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Andrzej (9/5): Superb -
- Roslyn (9/5): Superb -
- Nagel (8/5): Very good - Character and size
- Julie (6/5): Fine for one night but I woykfny want to stay any longer. - The number of bedrooms and beds. The water was lovely and hot. Helpful and friendly staff at the William McIntosh who provided the keys. The house was tired and needed upgrading. The carpet was stained and old. The lounge furniture was old and not very inviting. It was very cold and although there was a heater in the lounge, it wasn’t effective. The kitchen was very cold.
- Mary (8/5): Really relaxing visit and nice continental breakfast to start our day exploring Naracoorte. - Nice rooms. Heat was turned on in one room which we appreciated but the house was chilly.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - While we didn't get utilise the full gamut of amenities available as we were out and about from early until late, the amount of things provided was truly outstanding. If you're looking for a holiday house to spend away and just relax, this is 100% a great option. The walls between bedrooms seemed a bit thin, or at least noise from one room could easily be heard in the adjoining room.
- Drewery (7/5): Good -
- Lynn (7/5): Naracoorte was a great place to stay for a couple of nights. - Beds were good with electric blankets. Plenty of cutlery and crockery. TV’s in all the bedrooms. Location was good. There wasn’t enough breakfast for every morning. Not a lot of heating will be very cool in winter. Billiard room a bonus but the cues are no good.
- Merinda (8/5): Nice place to stay - Good nice place
- Ron (7/5): Large older but comfortable property - The house was spacious and comfortable. it had a full size kitchen and bathroom. Breakfast was great so long as you like one of the three single serve cereal packs or white factory bread, butter & jam, there was nothing that suited me but the others had toast. The nearby motel has a restaurant where we had an excellent dinner. The message explaining how to get access that the host thought they'd sent "didn't go through" so we spent some time wandering around the property looking for a lock box or something. Finally found a contact number for the host and rang, although she didn't sound happy to hear from me she did tell me where to get the keys from. Although we had the entire house we were given the door key and keys to two bedrooms, one of which, to us, smelled musty. The very helpful people that we got the keys from happily gave us the keys to the other two bedrooms so we could check them out and we found that bedrooms 1 and 3 were good.
- Jayden (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Very good - Location was great and plenty of parking for our work vehicles. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Only having one bathroom had its challenges, but we made it work.
- Ian (10/5): Great entertaining venue. - What an awesome set up. Great courtyard area that has a pool table, bar and good sound system. It was cold when we were there but on a balmy summer night would be fantastic for BBQ's.
The rooms are well separated and spacious. Comfortable beds and good range for breakfast with coffee machine aswell.
Would recommend this for all types of occasions, family, work colleagues etc. Bathroom could have been better, but ok. Just a little tired.
Key collection was easy but it didn't specify to collect from the William Macintosh Hotel, it just gave an address. The address was the William Mac but it took awhile to work that out. If they simply said pick up keys from reception at the William Mac next door could have saved time and confusion. Not a big deal but I had to meet a word quota in thissection.
- Ayla (9/5): Superb - Beautiful private property
- Jan (8/5): Quiet, comfortable & spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed ‘The Jazz’ - The location suited us perfectly - visiting local wineries and the Naracoorte Caves. The breakfast provisions were tasty: juice, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, bread, coffee (could have provided more pods for 4 people), milk. We did think there might have been eggs to go with the bacon & sausages… Condiments- salt, pepper, oil, etc. - had pretty well run out & need replenishing.
A butt bucket outdoors is needed: lots of previous smokers’ butt’s in the cracks in the outdoor area paving.
- Luke (3/5): Expensive for what you get. Deceiving photos - Good location Photos are very deceiving we expected a light airy house with a modern bathroom. Bathroom was dirty, cracked loose tiles in the shower, a shower head that spayed directly out of the shower. The house is dark, dated, beds squeak, no quilts are provided - blankets and sheets only. The breakfast provided was slices of white bread glad wrapped on a plate in the fridge 3 packets of small cereal. This is a perfect example of why a motel shouldn’t do a b&b. I know this is a harsh post but I don’t want others to get caught out like I did
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (6/5): Old house needs some work done on windows and curtains and bathroom 🚽 - Location great z The bathroom shower was not good and cleanliness of house not satisfactory
- Jodie (4/5): Disappointing - Beautiful area! Beds were comfy Naracoorte is a cold place, the house was freezing on arrival. There was a fireplace but no wood at the house
- Kim (9/5): Lovely stay at the Jazz arriving late with a fridge full of milk juice etc was great - Breakfast was great staff friendly and cosy comfy areas. Great value really price friendly. Beds were great.
- Hannah (7/5): Good - The beds were amazing Bed and breakfast means breakfast every day at every b and b I've ever been to...except this one. Which was disappointing
- Robert (9/5): All in all a nice place in a great location. - Location was fantastic. The window in my room kept rattling against the frame on a windy night. No big deal though.
- Mellanie (7/5): Good -
- Lou (10/5): Exceptional - so quiet.
a beautiful country retreat we had all 4 rooms, entire house to self.
wouldn’t like to share- so watch that,
- Sue (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sophia (9/5): Jazz B&B Stay - Absolutely magical getaway with a stunning view of the forest. Loved everything from the artwork to the games and the presentation. The home itself smells beautiful and loved the personal touches such as the textured walls, framed artwork, fireplace and the beds were super comfy and warm. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel at home. Great little place to escape the world for the weekend. Shower head in shower was broken so difficult to have a shower and shower curtain was old and stained and could be replaced.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good -
- John (4/5): Disappointing -
- Malcolm (8/5): Very good -
- Melanie (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (8/5): Very good - plenty of room for everyone, our teenagers loved it.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Peiyu (9/5): Superb -
- Scott (7/5): overall it was good stay. - the building and rooms were great and spacious. the kitchen had plenty of facilities. the staff were super friendly and helpful. unfortunately the bathroom was badly renovated and the shower had broken tiles and damaged shower screen. the kitchen had wet cups and plates in the cupboard when we arrived. the games room is a separate building and could do with a update. the pool table was dirty with a few small tears and the dartboard was missing a dart. the floor in bedroom 1 has sunk and the bed could use a block under 1 corner as it felt like it sloped.
- Lee (7/5): Like staying at your country relatives house. - The location was perfect, and very quiet. The supplied breakfast + tea and coffee supplies were good.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Somehow I never got the check-in process email, but having also found the Jazz on its own site I figured I had to check in at the motel next door.
Unfortunately there is a crack in the kitchen wall because of an earlier issue that is awaiting repair, the hosts were very apologetic about this (and it didn't affect our stay).
The house took some effort to heat in winter and the electric blankets were appreciated.
- Kylie (9/5): Superb - Great host, very helpful. Perfect location.
