- Terese (8/5): A Parisian style pension in country town! Beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. Shared kitchen, lounge dining. - Beautifully furnished with period pieces. Comfy bed. Very clean. Great range of teas, cereals, mini bar on offer. Private bathroom was outside room but could possibly be accessed by others. No microwave, lacked basic utensils like peeler, sharp knife and egg flip. Wasn’t clear that kitchen and lounge are shared. Had place to self but could be noisy if others were staying.

- JKQC (5/5): Most disappointing stay in over 50 years of staying in countless accommodations. - 1. Payment requested on the street pathway before entry to premises for the 3 night stay.
2. Owner stated that they would forward invoice to my email supplied after payment.
3. Numerous repeated requests for my invoice over 3-4 weeks was ignored. Booking.com had to finally intervene for invoice to be supplied.
4. Bathroom not attached to bedroom. Accessed via open corridor.
5. Returned to room after days work noting that every zip on my luggage had been opened.
- Jillian (7/5): -
- Margaret (7/5): - Good decor Kitchen facilities disappointing
- Colleen (9/5): Lovely deco and clean - Location in the main was perfect , a lot of hotels to eat at which were in the next block away . Parking was out the back of the property, we only had cereal for breakfast. A lot of stairs at the front & back door , not good if you can’t walk up stairs. We didn’t had a problem
- Matthew (10/5): - Super clean and cosy.. amazing staff and management.. thank you so much!
- Michelle (7/5): A very cosy and comfortable sleep right in the heart of West Wyalong. - Very comfy bed - room was warm and cosy. Great location right on Main Street, walking distance to pubs. The bathroom (very cold, no heating) was separate to our room and although it was supposed to be private, pretty sure I heard someone else using it. The hand-written notes forbidding things (Shoes off. Don’t use the decorative pillows. No food in rooms etc) were a bit OTT.
- Peter (9/5): Very comfortable and centrally located. The rooms catered well for winter. - The cereal breakfast options provided and kitchen facility was 4 star
- Jenny (10/5): Great room and location, with wonderful friendly staff, - Lovely comfortable room, beautifully appointed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The dining and lounge room has a lovely atmosphere and is great place to relax.
- Vicki (4/5): Disappointed - Very comfortable bed Seperate bathroom had no heating and it was freezing overnight
- Jonquil (7/5): Convenient place to stay overnight with a mix of bedroom, sitting/dining area being beautifully presented and the ki - The bedroom and shared living dining area were lovely. The bathroom was freezing cold with no way to heat it up.
The shared kitchen area: was not set up with enough equipment to cook with. Drawers were full of discarded paper and rubbish.
Hand written rule on little cards seemed a bit tacky. The A4 sheet with instructions in the kitchen was dirty and torn and needs replacing.
- Kim (8/5): Comfortable - Comfortable room and bed Need a shower curtain, floor was slippery
- Paul (9/5): A great place to stay - Quirky property, our king deluxe room had very tasteful furnishings and a large modern ensuite. Bed very comfortable. Based on our very enjoyable stay at this property in 2015 we decided to book again. Not disappointed.
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Loren (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (4/5): Owners are trying hard but suits young people, not for us. - The bed was very comfortable and firm. Just right. The general amenities were mainly fine (though the kitchen, lounge, dining room is shared and the bathroom is in a separate room away from the bedroom). The style is Georgian and leather furniture - nice and quaint. The owners are trying hard to make it work. Where to start? 24 steps up to the apartment, bathroom was not directly accessible from the bedroom, NOISE, we don't usually expect breakfast to comprise a bowl of cereal only (no bread, no toaster). Took me 20 mins to find as the entrance is a small doorway - eventually found the text to say check-in at a nearby cafe. Even with the aircon on, the lounge/dining was chilly unless one sat directly within the aircon airflow. (This explained why it was set to 31 degrees!). We usually stay at a motel down the road but the noise of large trucks braking and accelerating through the night was a pain - but this was no better - in fact having incredibly noisy bin collection at 4.15am was really not appreciated. Changing was a mistake - back to the motel if we ever return. (I phoned to check if the motel had a room, we would have gone there as the steps were daunting for my wife, and for carrying up luggage. Not good for backs and hips. The motel was booked out so we persevered with the chambers. Worked in the end but disappointing. As my wife said, I should have looked more closely at the pics!
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Nice space with a sitting area furnished to suit the age and style of the building. Good to have a bathroom each which provided additional privacy. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Short on teabags and a coffee plunger or pod machine.
- Ken (8/5): Overnight in West Wyalong. - Although the kitchen/dining/lounge was common the three ‘suites’ it was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom was perfectly clean, but a heater would have made our stay better. Unfortunately, stairs were necessary ( one flight of quite steep stairs) - we should have checked first - not a major problem, but was a bit tiring.
- Andrew (10/5): The Best Stay in West Wyalong - Beautifully restored and repurposed down town setting. Really comfortable accommodation with an historic touch. The Dining and Living areas were carefully and thoughtfully designed and were very inviting. The bed was comfortable with high quality linens and coverings whilst there were lovely fluffy towels in the "Wet Area" bathroom. The affiliated licenced cafe had a great selection of food, and was open for breakfast and evening meals. A hidden gem in an unexpected location. We will definitely be staying here again.
The photos on the booking sites don't do justice to the property. Nothing.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (10/5): Warm friendly and beautifully decorated - The position. Access to family Cafe. Facilities for 5 adults were awesome. Modern 3 bathrooms. Friendly helpful hosts.
- Annegraveur (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (9/5): As above - Stay was comfortable, charming and convenient. Enjoyed our time there. All good.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Lewis (1/5): Bad - I never saw the property. My booking was cancelled due to a better offer from another party. I was not informed until I arrived. This is as poor as it gets for a hotel.
- Pramesh (9/5): Superb -
- Colin (9/5): Superb - Beautiful, clean, comfortable and the ladies running the accommodation where very friendly and helpful.
- Craig (10/5): A wonderful apartment style, which had everything one could need. - The hosts were absolutely wonderful, made sure they took me in showed me all of the shared facilities. I had a queen room which was very comfortable. nothing
- Doug (9/5): Would stay again. - The staff were great, the room comfortable and clean, parking was very close. All in all a great night. The bedroom was air-conditioned but the bathroom wasn't and it was very very warm.
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (9/5): The room was cold on arrival when it was 35 degrees outside, I’ve stayed here twice and stay again - Great comfortable room and shared facilities Nothing
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terry (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Great rooms and apartment. Easy to relax in the lounge. Really comfortable and great attention to detail.
- Lindy (8/5): A good stopover, we were refreshed after our stay to continue our journey from Brisbane to Melbourne - Comfortable bed, beautifully furnished. Excellent facilities Steep stairs
- Danijela (1/5): Bad -
- Duncan (8/5): A good stay in West Wyalong - The sheer ambiance of the place is great Breakfast is scant from what was supplied in the kitchen. We decided to eat out!
- Katharine (9/5): Lovely classic place - Elegant spacious living room, large kitchen, nicely furnished bedroom with quality linen, very friendly helpful staff.
- Penny (7/5): very comfortable and convenient stay - I enjoyed the fact that this band is right in town. Most motels are on the outskirts and you have to drive to eat dinner etc. My room and bathroom were sparkling clean and the bed and linen excellent. As a woman travelling alone, it's a bit disconcerting to have to go outside the room to go to the bathroom, especially during the night.
- Bennett (8/5): Very good - Perfect one-night stay travelling from Brisbane to SA. Arrived in time for a wander around town, picked up a bottle of wine from the IGA and ordered pizza on our way back. The staff delivered it up to the dining room, set out the table beautifully. Was wonderful to enjoy the surrounds. Parking out the back was convenient.
- Angus (8/5): Very good -
- Beryl (5/5): This property is ideally situated to provide great walking access to the local township. - It is very close to all the local shops and eateries. Breakfast cereal, tea and coffee was provided in a common kitchen area. This property advises it offers Queen bedrooms with own bathroom. What it doesn't say is that the bathroom is outside the bedroom and in full view from the common corridor, relevant when one needs to use the bathroom during the night.
- Charm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (10/5): Well worth a night's stay. - Very comfortable and roomy. Very quiet. Stair access
- Stallard (6/5): Beautiful building but separate bathroom was a big issue as well as the No breakfast - Only found a small box of corn flakes but nothing else Bathroom not in the room- made it difficult
- Dave (10/5): Would go back to West Wyalong for the Mentor Chambers accommodation and food experience again. - Presentation was excellent, everything was in place
- Bernadette (8/5): Very good -
- Ray (6/5): Convince - Good location. No one to greet us.
- Helen (8/5): Delightful base for a country visit. - Welcoming host; fab location; old world charm. Bathroom toiletries etc minimal.
- Anthea (7/5): Good - Lovely decor central cozy and clean The breakfast was very limited for choice
- Joan (6/5): Central spot. Difficult stairs - Not applicable Clearer advertising
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (7/5): Good - Warm, cosy room with lovely communal lounge, dining area.
- Karen (10/5): Pleasant and comfortable, great location. - Beautiful set up, very clean, great location and gorgeous furnishings. The room we stayed in had a private bathroom, but there was no separate door to close off the bathroom/bedroom entry. So trying to get ready for a night out meant anyone walking past to the back door would have seen us in our towels etc. A door put up to provide privacy to the bathroom and bedroom as a whole would be a great idea.
- Cindy (9/5): A lovely historic building with all of the comforts you need after a long drive. Beautiful place. - Beautifully appointed suites and very comfy lounge and dinning area. Our host was so friendly and helpful. A heater in the bathroom would have been a bonus.
- Kroon (8/5): Very good - Classic style and beautiful decor, lots of character to the building Staircase... But it was manageable
- Rossy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (2/5): Very poor - Old, peeling paint, worn carpet
- Philippa (9/5): Thank you so much for a wonderful stay- I will definitely be back! - I absolutely loved the large bedroom and bathroom. The lace a very clean and the kitchen and living area very spacious. the owners were incredibly helpful warm and friendly. Also a fantastic location right in the heart of the main street. The steep stairs out to the back here the car is parked is a bit tricky with luggage.
- Ian (8/5): Very good - Lovely period furniture. Private bathroom. No others booked in, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Very clean. Quiet even with it being on the main street. Large tv and Bose system in the lounge. Good size TV in the bedroom. Complimentary wine left for us. The stairs leading up to the unit are a pain unless you can travel light. The building looks ordinary from the street and even worse from the rear car park. The appearance is no reflection of the quality of the interior.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gavan (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (10/5): Perfect place to stay, friendly staff, super comfortable room and bathroom and access to great kitchen, dining room and - Super comfortable and warm room, great shower, big kitchen and access to dining room and lounge room both full of character. Can highly recommend eating at the paragon cafe next door, delicious fresh food Nothing
- Timms (9/5): Had a lovely stay with lovely hosts enjoying old world charm in a central location. - Wholesome breakfast cereals, tea, coffee. Great central location, very comfortable with old world charm. Room is advertised with kitchenette. In fact the kitchen is shared across three rooms.
- Andrew (7/5): Our stay was basic but comfortable and good value for an overnight stay. - It was a quiet and clean room in a heritage building. There was a private bathroom but located outside the bedroom - not totally private. We felt sorry for the sole operator of the cafe next door who had the task of hosting us on our arrival.
- Marian (7/5): Good -
