A full length mirror would have helped me. Maybe placed inside cupboard door.

We had a joke about the fact that Mark included coriander in the dip (which we don't really like.)...but we were not even expecting a snack provided like that.

It was the perfect start to the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming getaway.

• Jessamy (1/5): Misleading - The room itself, location & view were all very nice. As was the single English muffin we ended up paying $360 for. We were very surprised on arrival to find that the property is attached to the hosts home. We believe the listing to be intentionally misleading having no mention of this. The patio is a shared space. You can hear footsteps from the hosts above you. Other than there being no adjoining door, it might as well be a room in their house. The mention of a “restaurant” and “bar” is false. The hosts do have the option of preparing food for you from their kitchen. Again, we believe this choice of language to be intentionally misleading. There is no bath despite that being the hero photo. This apparently is a photo from another room. The hosts are aware of this misunderstanding being a common issue and made no further effort to clarify. I had specifically double checked that this was a private space, and was reassured that it was. When we mentioned our disappointment to Mark at check in (after he burst into our “private” space without knocking or checking - I was in the middle of toasting a muffin), we were met with nothing but defensiveness. We decided to leave shortly after. When we arrived home we informed the hosts, and asked if they would consider a refund (though of course they have no obligation). Initially a $100 refund was offered, which was subsequently retracted when they noticed one muffin had been eaten. So I guess I’m glad I had a $360 muffin? We hope the hosts will take on board our feedback so future guests aren’t met with the same disappointment, but I won’t hold my breath.

The home itself is beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail. You can tell that the host has a great eye for decor and quality — everything was thoughtfully chosen and placed, creating a warm, stylish, and welcoming space. The cleanliness was spotless — truly immaculate. I really appreciated how well-maintained everything was. It’s clear that the host takes great pride in the place, and it shows in every corner of the home. The couple who owns the property are genuinely lovely people, and their care and warmth are reflected throughout the space. I honestly fell in love with the whole experience — especially the view! I would absolutely love to come back again. Highly recommended!

Will return! - Cloudview is nestled deep in the Dandenong ranges, and the grounds, room and guests are all very well looked after by the owners. The well travelled owners offer many opportunities for visits to local attractions, both as guides or to set you up for a great day out. Arranging for dinners, picnics and sightseeing, the husband and wife are attentive, not overbearing, and drop by a contactless, complementary, locally produced breakfast each morning. I personally endorse Cloudview as THE spot for a couples getaway, as the hosts can completely cover each day, if desired, or offer a quiet, secluded stay overlooking forested hills, however you prefer your stay Thank you again to the hosts, we hope to see them again!
