The owners were very hospitable and left some afternoon tea out as well as a lovely breakfast. The bungalow was well equipped with the owners thinking of everything from makeup remover to Berocca! • Maureen (10/5): We were looked after by our hosts so well, we would always stay here in future if on the Bellarine. - On arrival there was a welcoming plate of home made cake to have with our cup of tea. For breakfast there was a large fruit platter, and home made jam for our toast. We felt very welcome, Denise and Ian were the best hosts we have encountered on our travels, and now we would stay here each time we needed accommodation on the Bellarine. We feel nothing could have been done better.

Zum Frühstück gehören Müsli, Joghurt, Toast, Marmelade, 2 verschiedene Säfte, Kaffee, Tee und eine große Platte mit frischem Obst. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen, ein paar Minuten zum Strand. Die Gastgeber sind ausgesprochen freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Absolut empfehlenswert für diesen Preis! Ich bin glücklich über diesen schönen Aufenthalt

• Lindsay (10/5): Very enjoyable and could happily have stayed longer. - Ian, as host, was exceptional in that we arrived in the unfamiliar location in rain and he met us with an umbrella and quickly installed us without us having to find our own way in. Nothing to dislike other than the rain!

It look like home-made jam. There was definitely home-made slice /biscuits left on the table beautiful fresh milk, fresh juice and a beautiful platter of freshly cut fruit yoghurt , bread, a variety of cereals and other spreads you could not ask for anything better? There was everything you could possibly ask for from umbrellas, body ,wash shampoo all that you would need the heater was exceptionally efficient and a bonus of electric blankets Denise checked in with me to make sure everything was okay , and it was exceptional so there was nothing to report. Why would you stay in a motel when you could have the facilities like this it was absolutely appropriately named the cosy bungalow. This is a long stretch for a dislike with everything being so fantastic my car just had to be parked in the street, but it was a quiet court and there was no issue

The breakfast was fantastic, and the homemade cookies were a lovely touch. It’s within walking distance to town, which is very convenient. Highly recommended! Nothing.

• László (10/5): 11 out of 10 - It was my best stay throughout the entire jouney in Australia. Basically I've got a small house just for myself that was nicely decorated, clean and equipped with everything, I've got home made cookies, fruits, brekfast, I felt like a king here. The house is located in a calm residential area, yet in walking distance to the centre of Portarlington. The house is surrounded by an amazing garden, I loved the scent of flowers. Denise and Ian are great hosts, I loved to chat to them, I am so happy I could be their quest - and hopefully I can return one day! The biggest mistake was that I booked this place only for one night so that I start from here for the Great Ocean Road. Don't make the same mistake, book several nights here, you will thorougly enjov staying in this amazing relaxing environment for longer and there is a lot to explore on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Fresh Fruit and homemade slice and orange cake on arrival was absolutely delicious. Had everything we needed plus more.
• Mark (10/5): Relaxing overnight stay in a quiet location, with lovely hosts. - Very nice continental breakfast, plenty of bread to toast and a good selection of spreads. Also cereals, teas and coffee, with bottled milk and orange juice in the fridge. Bathroom was spotless, with toiletries provided. Host greeted us and explained in detail the features of the bungalow. The location was quiet and ideal for our purposes.

• KRISTEN (10/5): Fantastic stay, perfect for our needs. - The correspondence from the owners before we arrived was fantastic- thorough and clear. We didn't ser them during our stay, but am confident we could have contacted if we had any issues. The light breakfast was great - we didn't expect the range of choices, and the time tams on arrival were a lovely touch! The place was spacious, private, clean, tastefully decorated and the amenities were well considered. A great stay overall. We've been quick to recommend to family and friends! The whole place was great and there was really nothing to fault. The bed was a little softer than we're used to - but was lovely and cozy. The on street parking might have been an issue in a busier street - but Marion Crt was so quiet we were more than comfortable with the arrangement.

They went above expectations providing not only a marvellous assortment of breakfast items, but also leaving home baked slice to enjoy with our evening coffee along with fresh fruit.

Our hosts, Denise and Ian, were very welcoming and helpful. Delicious homemade chocolate slice was provided on arrival as well as generous, fresh provisions for our continental breakfasts. We appreciated the detailed information provided about the property. The ease with which we could access live TV, Foxtel and internet was great and superior to some resorts we have stayed in. Nothing at all.
• Don (10/5): Exceptional - After. a very stressful 12 hour delayed trip from Queensland we arrived late at night at the Bungalow where Denise made us so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble & the Bungalow was delightful. My only regret was that we didn't get to spend longer there thanks to Jetstar!!. Very well equipped,warm & welcoming.. Thank you again Denise!!. That we arrived too late in the evening to truly relax & enjoy our surroundings. Everything else was great.
• Murdoch (10/5): More than a Cosy Bungalow - Your every little need is catered for. From a welcome serve of pastries for afternoon tea to a well stocked larder for breakfast. In the fridge was another delight - a plate containing at least half a dozen varieties of fruit cut to size along with an ample serve of orange juice and milk. Half a dozen slices of bread completed the menu. We arrived too late to fully enjoy the accommodation.

Light breakfast provided was also marvelous, fresh fruit platter, fresh baked banana bread, quality products offered from the coffee to butter. If I was to mention anything it would be the pathway from the on street parking. The pathway slate tile and stones is generally effective . The two timber steps, short and narrow from the grassed nature strip up onto the slate & stone. The slope of the block leads down hill onto the nature strip, going down required sure footing loose stones on the steps can unbalance the steps. Not a deal breaker however wider and broader step perhaps introducing a third step would suit and present more welcoming walk up to the cottage. Perhaps a timber or stainless steel hand rail.

The bungalow was super clean and we were provided with fresh bread, jams, honey, fresh fruit, yoghurt, orange juice, milk, coffee pods and an amazing chocolate slice! There was nothing not to like!

They checked our ETA so they could ensure the room was nice and cool and greeted us on arrival to help carry our things. The breakfast provided was extremely generous and all the little extras made it truely feel like a home away from home. We cannot recommend their cosy little bungalow enough and will definitely be back. Absolutely nothing.

We especially liked relaxing outside with breakfast or afternoon tea. There was nothing we didn’t like and will definitely stay there again if holidaying on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Spotlessly clean and great quality queen bed. Loved the hosts home made banana cake welcome and overall attention to detail. Maybe the small steps from the front yard could be a little challenging for someone with walking challenges. Nothing else to report.

Ian and Denise are wonderful hosts, very welcoming (even providing delicious homemade cakes on arrival)! The bungalow has everything you could need and more including Foxtel, wifi, pod coffee and games. The location is convenient to town and an easy 90 minute drive to Tullamarine which was a perfect option for us. Bed was the comfiest of the trip and the continental breakfast including freshly squeezed juice and homemade bread and jams was divine!! Wish we could have stayed longer!
