• Andrew (10/5): Tens Across the Board - Small but mighty. Super comfortable bed, beautiful location and exceptional host. Plates, cutlery, towels, and appliances were clean and fresh. I wouldn't complain at all about anything. Too many spiders, but the spiders are an outdoor issue that no one man solve.

Suite has plenty of room; plenty of dishes, utensils, well appointed bathroom. We love all the trees, bushes, and flowers everywhere. The people in the neighbourhood are friendly. If we can, we’re going back next year.

We felt at home with enough amenities to make the trip enjoyable. - The location is exceptional, just a short walk from the beach and close to town. Karen is lovely, welcoming and friendly. It was small and not fancy, but suited us super well and the price was very reasonable. The only thing we noted was that ground coffee was not provided, though a coffee maker was. Had we known in advance we’d have brought our own. There was instant coffee and lots of tea selection though.

The place is very clean and comfortable. This is a comfortable place to stay for a visit to the lovely beachside town of Qualicum. Real value for the money. Highly recommend.

I was hoping there would be a hot plate/stove when a kitchenette was advertised; however there was a microwave and toaster oven along with a coffee maker. Even so, it was wonderful!

• Granholm (10/5): Exceptional - Very private, quiet, close to the beach,.it's quite homey beds are good if eclectic in arrangement. All the basics are in the room but a very minimal kitchenette. Owner is kind and thoughtful, can supply you with whatever you may have forgotten in kitchenware. The dining table is nice touch and pleasant place to eat. The big windows make the space quite light even tho it's on the lower level of the house, the plus is the car is right out front and you have a patio. The yard is gated with a drive through driveway. The addition of keypad locks is nice you don't need a key but you develop speedy fingers to lock and unlock the door! We will be back again because it feels comfortable staying there. We had a little difficulty finding it because the address is quite hidden. I suppose it keeps it private, but we drove by twice before we spotted both the gate entrance and the number. Possibly a solar cell light over the address would help because we were quite late getting in. It has a few quirks like a kitchen sink in the bathroom, I understand the space constraint and need to have a dishwashing sink, I'm just not a fan of the need to brush your teeth where you wash the dishes, there is a dish pan supplied, that helps. I found myself wishing for a more substantial countertop with an arborite top to keep things clean and neat. The dresser top is lower and awkward for prepping any kind of food and keeping crumbs at bay. Just having a countertop the same width as the dresser installed about 6 or 8 " above the dresser would give a storage space for baked goods or fruit and other items like coffee and tea and then there would be a workspace to put the toaster and coffee pot or a kuerig?. I would have appreciated being able to have a spot for an induction burner it would have expanded the possibility of creating a breakfast with an egg. The bed could use a floor mat beside it (I dognapped the bathmat) because it's tile on concrete and cold. Bed itself is comfortable but will need a foam topper soon, as a single I could sleep in the middle, but there are 2 dips in the bed 1 on each side showing its use. These are not faults, just suggestions since owners need to know how beds are wearing. This one is still good, but continued use will pronounce the dips. The only other thing my son found because of how the single bed is situated is the pillows fall off the top on the floor. These are minor issues. I would certainly return to the property because of its quiet location and beach access.

• Naomi (7/5): The hostess was very friendly and helpful. - Some added comforts that were very welcome, such as several boxes of kleenex, picnic basket and supplies, plenty of linens and towels, coffee filters. Great location, near to where we needed to be for family events. More kitchen supplies would have been welcome, like pots and pans for cooking, although there was no stove or burner. This was not clear to us when booking, so when we arrived with groceries, it was sometimes a challenge to cook up a meal.
