Wonderful flora around the propriety. You can hear the other guests talking in the adjacent rooms, but earplugs fix that up easily!

• Ricarda (10/5): Cute, laid-back bed & breakfast - We really enjoyed our stay at this cute, little bed and breakfast! From the minute we entered the place we felt calm and welcomed! The breakfast in the garden in the morning was always a nice start to our day! It’s located really close to the beach (5 min walk) and across the street there is a supermarket. Don’t expect a luxury hotel rather a small, cute family place to feel safe and comfortable beside the hustle in Santa Teresa! We would definitely come back and we can just recommend to also have dinner at the place once! :)

• Angelina (8/5): - Das B&B ist eingangs Santa Teresa und 2 min vom Strand entfernt. Diverse Restaurants, kleinere Geschäfte in der Nähe und der Supermarkt vis à vie. Im Aussenbereich gibt es eine kleine Gemeinschaftsküche welche einfach aber sauber ausgestattet ist. Die Zimmer sind einfach, gewisse haben eine Klima (unbedingt mit Klima buchen :)) und es kann auch ein geimeinsamer Kühlschrank benutzt werden. Das Frühstück ist frisch, herzhaft, lecker und jeden Tag ein bisschen anders. Auch zu Abend kann im Bajo el Arbol gegessen werden. Eher obere Preisklasse aber SEHR lecker! Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend, helfen gerne bei Schwierigkeiten (wir bekamen andere Kissen weil die eigentlichen uns zu hoch waren) und geben super Tipps um Santa Teresa zu erkunden. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen! -

• Tim (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft mit sehr netten Gastgebern - Toll eingerichtete Unterkunft an zentraler Lage, 5minuten vom Strand entfernt. Mauro, einer der Gastgeber empfangte uns sehr herzlich, gab uns einige schöne Empfehlungen für Auflüge und war jederzeit hilfsbereit. Sehr leckeres Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Brot😊
• Katja (8/5): - Super fijne locatie, dicht bij het strand. Fijne douche en ook een fijne buiten douche om het zand weg te spoelen naar een stranddag. Kamer was van alle gemakken voorzien en het was fijn dat er ook een gezamenlijke keuken en waslijn te gebruiken was.

Fruta, banana bread y unas tostadas que iban variando su topping según el día, acompañando de un excelente café. La ubicación perfecta, a 2 minutos de la playa, con supermercado al frente, servicios de rental al frente y Todo lo que uno necesita para pasar unos increíbles días

• Franziska (9/5): - Die Lage ist sehr gut und der Strand ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Es gibt einen Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft. Es gibt insgesamt vier Zimmer, die sich ein WC und eine Dusche teilen. Draußen befindet sich eine kleine Küche. Die Zimmer und die Gemeinschaftsbereiche wurden täglich gereinigt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben jeden Morgen ein frisch zubereitetes Frühstück serviert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (gerade im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in Santa Teresa) stimmt hier auf jeden Fall. Der Fußboden in unserem Zimmer war an den Rändern etwas kaputt und brüchig. In der Küche wäre ein bisschen mehr Ausstattung schön gewesen.

• felicia (5/5): Overpriced and not as nice as other places - Everything was really clean, it was great location and felt really safe. Everything looked as it did on the photos. It was extremely many mosquitoes, and only one hearing plate in the kitchen, so most nights I had to wait about 30-45 minuter to do my dinner. Also only two places for couples to sit so not always place to be in if you don’t want to eat in your room - and therefor no natural way to socialize with others. Also no flexibility about when the breakfast is served, so definitivt not recommend this place for surfers, once I was 4 minutes late and then I wasn’t offer it. I asked about more breakfast but had to eat more of my own afterwards because it didn’t filled me up.

• alexandra (10/5): Excelente alojamiento - El alojamiento es perfecto, el espacio entre la naturaleza hace que la estadía sea soñada, la habitación doble que ocupamos es súper cómoda. La cocina está muy bien equipada con todo lo necesario. El desayuno es una delicia, con fruta fresca, panes y mermeladas caseras. Es para destacar la atención de Julio y Mauro, excelentes anfitriones, ellos hacen que la estadía sea estar en un hogar.
• Inês (9/5): - O alojamento é maravilhoso. A localização é otima, a apenas 5 minutos da praia e muito perto de restaurantes e supermercados. Apesar da rua movimentada, no alojamento reina paz e tranquilidade. O espaço exterior é super agradável, rodeado de natureza. O quarto é simples mas com todas as comodidades necessárias. Os donos são super prestáveis e simpáticos, sempre disponível para ajudar. Recomendo vivamente. O chuveiro tinha pouca pressão o que tornava os banhos um pouco mais longos do que o necessário.

• Goltseva (9/5): - The room was comfortable and clean, the place is right by a surfing spot although it was very rough to surf (waves to quick and punchy), although I was told it gets more mellow as well. The breakfast was OK but probably the most modest I had during my stay in Costa Rica.

• Moritz (10/5): Hidden gem close to the beach - I have spent 5 nights at the rather simple but also cozy and comfortable b&b which is set within this beautiful Garden, a hidden gem with very heartfelt and nice owners! The restaurant has been my best dinner experience in whole Costa Rica, the food is amazingly fresh and Julio is an amazing Chef! Highly recommended to visit for a romantic and great dinner or just a glass of wine Can be a bit noisy from all the nature, animals around the place in the morning, but I also feels like being connected to this natural early morning routine

Location is close to the beach and shops Parking included The property is super old, and outdated, it almost fell like jail, the room is tiny, in a size of a bed with some room around it, I couldn’t sleep all night, the rooster was crowing all night , the dog was barking, you could hear anyone who came in and out the house, as it’s a room in a house, the pictures on the listing looks very nice, when you get to the properly it doesn’t look the same, the inside of the room and bathroom can use a paint touch up . I left the property to find a different hotel and gave up my paid night since there was no refund policy, Don’t waist your time money !!! It was a horrible experience…

• Raffaele (8/5): Beautiful Garden and friendly hospitality in Santa Teresa - We really enjoyed to stay at Bajo el Arbol. The garden is beautiful, we loved to spend time there, and the breakfast. The rooms are quite basic, but they have everything you need and were cleaned daily. We also had a small kitchen to prepare our meals. Mauro and Julio are very friendly guests, they shared lot of tips about Santa Teresa and surroundings. The location also is optimal, only 2 mins walk from Carmen beach. In comparison to other place where we have stayed in Costa Rica, I found this property slightly overpriced vs the value of the room.

• Sally (7/5): off the busy road, cool green garden and dining area, basic kurxhen facilities if needed. rooms quite small but clean. - reataurant area. location to beach and the bakery, supermarket etc although owners were helpful and polite when approached they did treat accommodation clients a bit like students, which we were not.
• Jessie (6/5): Don't pay 5% extra for your stay to use a card!! - Great location right in the centre of Santa Teresa, a few minutes walk to the beach and directly opposite a supermarket. There are shops, restaurants and surf schools everywhere. It's on a busy, dirt, main road but far back enough and surrounded by foliage to not be bothered by the noise. The garden was tranquil and we spotted some wildlife. The breakfast was good (fruit, bread, cake, jam, tea, coffee or water). Giulio wasn't very welcoming when we arrived. Then told us we would be charged 5% extra to pay for our stay with a debit card because they have to pay 5% to the government. If thats true the 5% should be included in the price at the time of booking. After many hours travelling we were forced to go to a cash machine that didn't even give us cash. We complained to booking.com and the 5% additional charge was dropped. DONT PAY IT!!! The tin roof in our room soaked up the sun and bakes during the day. Air con is needed. No mosquito net on the window. It would be nice to have a choice at breakfast and when I asked for orange juice I was told tea, coffee or water.
• Board (10/5): relaxing retreat for a week, close to the beach and everything you need - great location , very pretty place. delicious breakfast and delightful owners. rooms & facilities are basic but clean and comfortable. a good price for the location . would come back again 😊 nothing !
• Simon (9/5): great stay - basic facilities but clean and well appointed. proximity to beach great and delicious food - close proximity to the beach. friendly hosts. delicious breakfast included. useful shared kitchen/fridge and supermarket right across the street. do eat at the restaurant as the food is really very good - however one complaint - see below we had a great meal at the restaurant - I would highly recommend it - delicious tapas. the one gripe is that even though we were staying in the accommodation and we were told that the tap water was fine to drink, when we asked in the restaurant at dinner for tap water with our (expensive but worth it) meal we were refused, saying they did not have it (even though the same host told us the day before that tap water is fine) - and were forced to pay $2 for “filtered water” air con would have been nice but was not really required as the ceiling fans are more than sufficient and keep the mosquitos away
