Guest Reviews
- Tiffany (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. The owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home! - The breakfast each morning was amazing, fresh, and delicious. Everything was spotless and very well maintained, making the stay even more comfortable. It was the perfect location for biking to nearby wineries, going for long peaceful walks, and simply enjoying the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely stay again. nothing, the place was excellent, I would recommend this place to anyone, whether its a romantic getaway, family vacation or a staycation with friend it was perfect!
- Melinda (9/5): We will return! - Location and the quiet surrounding!
- Shannon (9/5): Great host, location and breakfast! Lovely stay in the Niagara area! -
- Vicki (8/5): An all round delightful location and property and a very efficiently run b&b. Would stay here again. - The owners were very accommodating of our dietary needs. The service was very efficient. Having a coffee station was most welcome and a small fridge which could be used to put perishables like your own cream for coffee if you would rather not use the milk provided. The communal area is a bonus for a bed and breakfast. Location was quiet and lovely. A trifle of a matter but I would suggest providing a kettle at the coffee station so tea can be made with boiling water instead of the microwave(I'm a tea snob of English heritage!!)
- Brian (10/5): - Wonderful people and place Nothing
- Mary Ann (8/5): -
- Cassandra (10/5): -
- Nancy (9/5): Comfortable cozy - Location to Niagara on the Lake wineries, historic downtown and Niagra Falls
- Guest (7/5): It was pleasant and adequate but not special… - Breakfast was good but no choices were offered. The dining chairs were uncomfortable. Over all, there was nothing special about this venue. There was not a strong “client focus”.
- justine (9/5): Large airy house with spaces to relax overlooking green landscaping. Parking near room. Great host. - Breakfast was very good. Host is welcoming and thoughtful. nothing
- Guest (10/5): We had enjoyed our stay and would like to stay there again in the future. - Very clean, super friendly and a great location.
- Cristiana (10/5): - Ho apprezzato molto l ambiente e la cura con cui siamo stati accolti.
Grande disponibilità e ottima colazione Nulla
- Linda (9/5): A Keeper! - My daughters and I had a lovely stay. Our host, Rob, was so accommodating and waited up for us as we had a very late arrival. Our room was large and beautiful and breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again!
- Emily (10/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): Excellent séjour dans ce gîte très cosy. Accueil très chaleureux. - Beauté du lieu
Accueil chaleureux
Soin et attention
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Klip (7/5): Practical - Location, shower, lots of towels, quiet The no-choice breakfast. The lack of a table or desk in the bedroom. The location of the bathroom outside the room, in the common area! We were not made aware of this until we arrived
- Aaron (10/5): Rob was an excellent host - communicative, friendly, a wonderful cook, and enjoyable to chat with. -
- Melanie (10/5): Great B&B - Charming home built/renovated/furnished by someone with excellent taste - marries all the modern furnishings like central A/C and large windows with classic timeless features. Great breakfast with the best bacon. Our host even kindly set up the sofa bed for us in the evening. Convenient location with easy access to Niagara on the Lake and to Niagara Falls. Washroom could have been a tad cleaner, would have liked a lamp on the table beside the sofa.
- Roberto (9/5): Pretty good for a night - house and location bathroom outside the bedroom
- Judy (10/5): Wonderful - Beautiful, cute welcoming room, parking next to room, cheerfully welcomed upon arrival . Bright and cheery place to stay! All was great
- Rebecca (10/5): Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend - Beautiful setting, perfect location, clean, comfortable and well equipped, delicious breakfast, delightful host! Nothing at all!
- Anh (10/5): A cozy and thoughtful stay in a place with history and heart. - The ambiance was peaceful and charming, just right for a relaxing anniversary stay. Rob was welcoming and shared some great local insights, especially the story behind the carriage house, which gave the place extra character. Nothing stood out. We had everything we needed for a comfortable night.
- Vanessa (9/5): Superb - Our day was fantastic and exactly what we wanted for a getaway to the Niagara wine region. It was located conveniently amongst all the wineries and a beautiful drive around the area. We came with our little dog and it was perfect for morning hikes right behind the house, there is a trail That connects you to the scenic outlook, quiet beautiful suburban area. The host was amazing and accommodated us for breakfast. Prepared a beautiful spread of French toast and assortment of jams, a coffee machine with different pod flavors, orange juice, as well as bacon he even had a vegetarian option for the patties.
- Monk (10/5): Simply delightful -
- Kristen (9/5): We were very happy with our stay, breakfast was great as was the host! We will be back 😊 - Beautiful and comfortable We didn’t like the other guests dogs constantly barking in the suite below us. The people left and the dogs barked everytime we moved in our suite above.
- Kelly (8/5): Couple was very friendly, location excellent. - Location was excellent for our wedding we attended. Less than 5 minutes away.
Breakfast was good, bacon was burnt. Owners forgot we were bringing our dogs and were upset at me about it. I reminded them I did put that in my booking.
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - Great location and clean space I was really disappointed with the breakfast. I was asked prior to our stay if we had any allergies. I told them I was celiac and therefore needed a gluten free alternative. When breakfast was served, the host was surprised to learn I had an allergy. Once made aware, he brought me dry toasted bread when everyone else received homemade French toast. The breakfast is half the reason you stay at a b&b so this was very disappointing. Further, we were only provided 1 pillow each to sleep on - both of which were extremely lumpy. Additionally, the room was very hot. While I enjoyed the location and the clean space, I would not stay here again.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Very welcoming and the suite was beautifully decorated. Personal detail was wonderful.
- Terence (8/5): Very good -
- Alessandra (8/5): Very good - The place is just amazing. Very clean and comfortable.
- Cathy (8/5): Very good - Our host was very welcoming and helpful.
The accommodation was very comfortable and clean.
We enjoyed our stay. Some of the breakfast fruit could have been fresher.
- Sehnaz (10/5): Great weekend getaway - The location is great, both 10 mins drive in both directions to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the Lake. The breakfast was excellent.
- Roberto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerhard (9/5): Beautiful Bed and Breakfast - We got a nice room with a comfortable king bed. The bathroom was excellent with a very comfortable shower. TV and WiFi worked well. The location is close to the parkway in Queenston and easy to find. People, who like to ride bicycles or walk have an easy access to the trail following the Niagara River. The accommodation was quite calm. Parking was easy and good. It is for sure a question of personal taste. We found the covers on the great bed a little thin.
- Joyce (9/5): Great - The host provided a gluten free option. Well done
- Marlene (10/5): Exceptional - Outstanding B&B, very kind hosts, interesting location near historical site. The rooms were super confortable, quiet and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. We received lots of interesting tips and information. Thank you!!
- Karen (8/5): Clean and comfortable room with a delicious breakfast - Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. I somehow missed that the bathroom, in the room we stayed in, was not an en suite. It really wasn't a problem, but would have preferred it to be.
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (10/5): Would certainly come back 👍 - Very friendly hosts.
Everything was great 😊 N/A
- Patricia (10/5): Fantastic stay - We had a fantastic stay at Carriage House On Kent. We were welcomed by Robert on arrival who ensured everything was available to us during our stay. Breakfast was delicious! Would highly recommend
- Gerry (7/5): Good - All went well for us. If wee had this place in a closer location, it would have rated higher.
- Paula (10/5): Lovely and relaxing - Very comfortable bed. Great selection of coffees and a delicious breakfast (especially the bacon). Lovely host. Also nice to have a patio to sit at outside.
- Rana (10/5): The host was so pleasant and informative. Room was spacious. Delicious breakfast. Will go back. - Breakfast was amazing...presentation and quality wise.
- Tony (10/5): Awesome would recommend to anybody and will do so - Could not fault it from the cleanliness the host and the location We only had one night would love to have stayed longer
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (10/5): Excellent - Extremely clean and very nice accommodation Clean and beautiful room
- Steffanie (9/5): Very happy with the location and breakfast. It was lovely to have the bathroom floor heated! -
- Daniel (10/5): Our stay was excellent, and we will definitely be recommending Carriage House on Kent to others. - The breakfast was delicious! The locally sourced food was a big plus for me, and the location was excellent! A caffeine-free tea would be nice in the common room.
- Alan (7/5): Acceptable - Location was good, very quiet Access to bathroom was through a common area, where breakfast was being set up by staff and other guests were around- privacy seriously compromised (not a true ensuite set up)
No freshly made hot tea available at breakfast, just Keurig coffee machine.
Seats at breakfast table were uncomfortable (hard wooden folding chairs)
Bed covers inadequate and tucked in far to tight over foot of bed, only one pillow per person
- Kandi (10/5): Awesome accommodations and hosts. - Robert was a great host for our stay. We would have loved to stay longer but we will be back again!
- Loic (10/5): What a quiet and lovely place ! Book now ! -
- Chieko (10/5): We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed sitting in front of the house and biking around . - The breakfast was great, with lots of fruits, fresh orange juice, special bacon, very good pancakes and great coffee.
- Mckitterick (10/5): Exceptional - The room was beautiful and exceedingly comfortable, equipped with a new shower. After two weeks of roughing it,it was very welcome. A gorgeous short drive to downtown Niagara on Lake and minutes from the bridge to the US.
- Fran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Torben (10/5): We really enjoyed or stay. The B & B was clean, the host extremely kind and the facilities great. Pancakes and bacon -
- Stephen (9/5): Highly recommend this stay to anyone travelling in the area. - The location is nice being half way between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. It is very comfortable and clean. Parking is easy. Bob's breakfast was great! The shower is large which is so nice. Host communication is top-notch. Not sure our AC was adjustable much so it was a little warm but there is a ceiling fan which worked well.
- Maureen (10/5): Very comfortable, felt so welcomed! - Delicious breakfast, so many thoughtful touches, fabulous bathroom, comfortable beds, Rob was very welcoming and helpful. Nothing!
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Dawn (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Shahriar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was very nice. Location a little off the beaten track, but conveniently handy to NOTL by car. An extra pillow and blanket would have been good.
- Alison (10/5): Wonderful - The host went well beyond our expectations. We were searching for garden centre's and helped guide us with searches and maps. Nothing
- Rimantas (8/5): Very good - Loads of space, clean, nice touches all round. Decent price. Yappy dogs bark constantly at guests on entry and exit.
- Rao (10/5): Very nice stay - Breakfast was very good. Prepared fresh on my schedule. Excellent service by the host.
- Melli1973col (10/5): Best bed and breakfast - Everything. Every detail at the house. Rob is an amazing person. The breakfast was so good and yummy. The area is so nice for a walk with the dog. Thanks We love all
- Lenore (10/5): Great place to stay in Queenston! - The breakfast each morning was excellent! You could not beat the location. There were multiple historical sites within 1-2 blocks of the house. We were also able to bring our dog. We would definitely stay there again! Could have been a bit cleaner.
- Karen (10/5): Terrific! Will definitely return! - Overall location was quiet and peaceful. Bedroom very comfortable, and the entire living space was very well-appointed. Owner has thought of everything and paid attention to the details. Breakfast was delicious!
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leon (9/5): Great hosts, good location - Friendly hosts N/A
- Hailan (9/5): Very good stay, my family loves it - yes
- James (8/5): A pleasant stay in a lovely area. - It's located in a nice neighborhood, but it's a 15-minute drive to most points of interest. Not a problem--just be aware that you'll need to drive. The breakfast was not nearly as good as reviews led us to believe. Again, not a problem, but don't expect choices or variety. The bed is very soft (it's two mattresses layered together, plus a mattress topper).
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tlm1978 (10/5): Wonderful stay - Cozy and comfortable. Very well updated and furnished. Host is very friendly. Pet friendly. Everything was great!
- Michailov (10/5): Comfortable, cozy room and delicious breakfast. We would highly recommend to friends - Our stay at Carriage House on Kent was amazing. The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Our room was very clean and cozy. There were lots of windows and our beds were very comfortable. The house itself was beautifully decorated. Additionally, in the common area there were amenities like board games, books and a Keurig machine with coffee pods.
Breakfast was served elegantly and was incredibly delicious.
Overall, our stay was amazing, and we would highly recommend Carriage House on Kent.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Yichen (10/5): Exceptional - Nice quiet location, wonderful breakfast and awesome host! We enjoyed our stay a lot! Thank you so much!
- Wowowoo (9/5): For a small group, there's nothing better in town - This was NOT our first stay at this B&B, and we expect to come back in the future. That alone should say enough about how much we enjoyed the experience. The owner Rob is friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and the place was fully and properly prepared for our arrival. He's obviously a proud resident of NOTL too, and had great recommendations for things to do and places to wine & dine. You get the entire house (one whole wing) to yourselves, a huge bonus if you're travelling with family or close friends. Much better than renting two rooms in a hotel, or some other B&B. The location is slightly off the town centre, so you'd have to drive to the Shaw, stores, restaurants, and other main NOTL attractions, and then look for (and pay for) parking. However, the 8-10 minute drive along River Parkway is very pleasant.
- Ines (9/5): Superb - Very clean, nice area for walking The air exchanger is right under your bedroom so it’s a bit noisier.
- Katherine (10/5): Great bacon for breakfast. - Location. Equidistant to The Falls and Niagara on the Lake
- Mike (9/5): Comfortable, quiet B&B that is close to both Niagara Falls and NOTL - Nice property in a quiet small village (Queenston) halfway between Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Robert was a good host; breakfast was nice if a little small (my opinion, as a big guy with a hearty appetite). We stayed on the upper floor, very clean with a nice bathroom. Only thing that I noticed was that the HVAC fan ran all the time. I couldn't find a thermostat / control panel to turn it off. Not a big deal
- Richard (10/5): Very relaxed and pleasant - Breakfast a limited choice but realistic for the small scale.
- Mahmud (10/5): It exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed it thoroughly! - The location was great! The room was fantastic and the hosts were amazing! The breakfast served was delicious! We enjoyed our stay a lot!
- Alazemi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blue (8/5): Very good -
- Odile (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful home We liked the loft. The heated tiles in the bathroom were great.
The special touch with chocolates appreciated The bed was a double and I toss and turn. I would have liked a queen. I should have checked it beforehand
- Sue (10/5): Nice stay for overnight or several days! - Robert is a gracious host. We enjoyed our conversations with him and the other guests. The property is very clean. The breakfast was wonderful. We really enjoyed being on the ground level with our own entrance. Parking was convenient. The snacks and Keurig were a great asset. Nice size refrigerator area, access to dish and silverware. Good selections on the TV. Very quiet and comfortable. Only inconvenience with the bathroom is our access from the bedroom, opens into the main room downstairs. Just a minor thing. We just were cautious.
- Marta (7/5): nice place but I was expecting exceptional - Place , the room is beautiful and very clean I felt rushed. Breakfast was interrupted and some food is not served for 4 people. Instead doing a little extra for our very short stay and was friendly reminded your time is getting up. Another example check in is 1 pm and I was said room will be ready for 2 pm. I did have understanding for that of course, yet I would expect same offer for me next day to stay extra hour.
- Dragana (8/5): Great - Breakfast was ok but could’ve been a bit better im terms of quantity
- Lh (10/5): Relaxing stay - Homey We switched the house fan from AUTO to ON for the night, so it was quieter.
- Geraldine (10/5): I would happily return and recommend to others. - Great attention to detail in our room - windows, floor, bed, linens, shower, amenities -- all plentiful and high quality. Owner could have been more helpful with our luggage. Breakfast lacked imagination and choice. Needs work.
- Christelle (10/5): Beautiful and charming -
- Dhlcuba (10/5): Exceptional - The location is excellent whether you are visiting the Niagara falls or the beautiful surroundings. The host, Robert, is a very amicable, attentive and helpful person. The facilities are in a very good shape, everything is clean and you can feel like at home. Very good breakfast included in the price. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
