En toch heel stil binnen, geen geluid van buiten Niet comfortabel om te ontbijten: geen tafel en stoelen. De verwarming en de verlichting waren een mysterie, onduidelijk hoe die te regelen waren. Verwarrend voor deze generatie die geen apps gewoon is. Maar we hebben geen kou geleden.

• Joanne (9/5): Wonderful stay - Fabulous location, within walking distance to most attractions and tram/metro nearby. Ground floor - you walk in right off the street - no steep steps like so many apartments in Amsterdam - a bonus at the end of a long day! Great cafe next door for breakfast and lots of bars and restaurants on the street for the evening time. However, sound proof doors ensure that you are not disturbed by street noise. Apartment is exactly as shown in the photographs; functional rather than luxurious but it has absolutely everything you would need for a short stay. Spacious, clean and very comfortable bed. Floris the owner lives upstairs; he is friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Nothing - we liked everything about it.

• Orchid (9/5): A comfortable stay in an excellent location with a very helpful host. - Excellent location, easy to get around Amsterdam. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Floris was very responsive and helpful when we had questions about the heating, he even brought an extra heater which we really appreciated. The shelf above the kitchen was a little dusty.

• Elif (6/5): Unsuccessful in terms of price and performance. - The only positive thing I can mention is the location and the lovely breakfast place next door. We were very disappointed with our stay. The apartment had a strong smell of mold and opened directly onto a street, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. It felt more like a shop than a home. The single bed was not comfortable, and the apartment lacked basic equipment. We also found bugs on the cutting board in the kitchen, which was very unpleasant. Although we had booked for two nights, we wanted to leave on the first day due to these issues. Unfortunately, we received no support or assistance in resolving the situation.

• Margaux (8/5): Très bien pour un séjour de courte durée au cœur de la ville ! - Le propriétaire était extrêmement réactif et apportait des réponses à nos questions dans les minutes qui suivaient. De même, l’appartement est extrêmement bien situé (à 5 minutes de tout à pied). Les explications pour accéder au logement étaient également claires. Nous n’avons pas très bien dormi, car le lit individuel grinçait vraiment beaucoup ; donc dès que la personne se retournait la nuit dans le lit, cela nous réveillait tous. Il faudrait penser à un autre système de fenêtre, car la seule présente au plafond n’est pas suffisante (le Studio a une odeur d’humidité ; nous devions laisser la porte qui donne sur la rue ouverte afin d’aérer l’ensemble de la pièce). Manque de couverts également. Je pense qu’il s’agit davantage d’un pied à terre, mais pas pour un long séjour.

• Wingstodance (10/5): Lovely place to stay, amazing location and exceptional host. - Oh my gosh! Staying at the Spui apartment was like a dream come true! Floris was in communication with us all the way. She was amazing, helpful and attentive to our needs. The location was so close to everything. The restaurant around the corner (the bakery that Floris recommended) was our favorite place to have a quick and healthy breakfast before starting our day. The room arrangement and decor are a little funky, but it suit us perfectly for 3 guests. Thank you, Floris! I would recommend having towel hooks near the bathroom and shower . . . but that didn't detract from our stay. Just saying!

Floris is also very friendly and easy to deal. Would highly recommend this place . 10/10

• Funda (10/5): Exceptional - It was great to stay at Floris's apartment. First of all he quickly replied all of our questions. His apartment is at the heart of Amsterdam. When you step outside the door you can see a very nice breakfast café on the left and a very popular bakery on the right which has a long queue even during the night (You should try Stroopwafel there). There is an app too control the heat. If you check the temperature regularly on the app the apartment never gets cold. We were never cold in the apartment. The best part was that we didn't need to any public transportation during our stay. You can comfortably stay at Floris' apartment during your trip to Amsterdam. We are looking forward to come back. The apartment truly reflects the spirit of Amsterdam, it was amazing!

• Liz (9/5): Loved the location and cool style of this apartment - it was modern, clean and comfortable. - We were in the perfect location in the centre of Amsterdam - surrounded by everything we needed, and in easy walking distance to everything else. The decor in the apartment is fabulous - loved the art works. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glasses, cutlery etc. We only discovered the portable stove in a low cupboard the day we were leaving... But everything else was great. The cafe next door is lovely - food and coffee were excellent, and you get a discount by mentioning that you're staying in this apartment 😏 The shower area could do with some hooks or shelving - you couldn't take anything in and the whole area gets wet, so that was a bit awkward. The lighting etc is all remote controlled and basic instructions were printed and left out - but we found it too complicated and couldn't get it sorted. We ended up mostly using the wall buttons - hopefully we didn't wreck the programming.

• Jessica (5/5): Passable - Friendly host and amazing location. Was very kind enough to make a lunch reservation for us. Unfortunately, the apartment had a really bad smell of sewerage from the toilet - had the plumber come in twice with no fix. If the apartment did not smell it would've been a great stay. We had to buy coffee grounds to help absorb the scent to make the stay somewhat bearable. Hopefully this issue will be fixed for the next guests

As soon as you step out the door you are in the heart of Amsterdam with everything just a few minutes walk away. The apartment was clean and well decorated also fitted with a heating system for the colder nights thats easy to use. The host, Flora was absolutely exceptional!! Friendly and accommodating and always ready to help and give advice on places to visit and travel too. A must stay in Amsterdam! Nothing

• James025 (10/5): Perfect stay in the center of Amsterdam - The apartment was perfect! It's spacious and clean and looks exactly like the photos. Location is the greatest thing about it, you walk out the door and you're immediately in the center of Amsterdam!

Cafes,bars and restaurants in area are lovely .Easy to get to tourist attractions as well as getting a flavour of a local neighbourhood.Floris,our host, came quickly to assist us on arrival as heat controlled by an I phone on premises which was hard to figure out Sorry to be picky, but we were unable to control the heat level of the shower .Water was too hot to stand directly under.Would be great to have extra blankets !!

The lock on the front door takes anywhere from 10 seconds to over a minute to turn over and lock up, so we made sure we stayed next to the door until it locked whenever we left/came back, just for our peace of mind as young females.

• Margarita (10/5): Luxurious loft art gallery feeling! - I love the location! Was literally like staying at an Art Gallery. From the paintings to the set up in the apartment building makes you feel like a luxurious vacation. I love the owner was always in contact with us. The house was very intelligent. The only thing is that we have to check the heater was on in the app in the middle of the night, but everything worked properly!

• Jeetinder (7/5): The best location just need to change the bedding - Great communication from Floris the host on WhatsApp. Loved the location of the apartment the most. 24hrs running hot water and we got to control the heating as it was really cold. For a 3 day break this was a perfect apartment with the best location. So much to do and all by foot. The beds were really uncomfortable and the bedding never fit the bed. The pillows have no feathers left in them. Would've been nice to have some heating on our 1st evening as it was snowing and the temp of the apartment was 16 degrees. Strange sewage like smell in the apartment when we were out and returned in the evenings.
