Guest Reviews
- carolyn (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! - The breakfast was delicious and served to us in our room. Our host also made tea for me as I was ill. She went the extra mile for us. She also arranged our taxi to the airport and made an excellent recommendation for dinner. Everything was outstanding! It could not have been better.
- Mark (1/5): WORST B&B EVER!!! - Nothing. The staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Thank you to booking.com for the full refund following a wildly unacceptable experience. When we called the host upon our late arrival (as we were instructed to do) she refused to let us in, told us “she doesn’t rent to people like us” and said she would call the cops if we didn’t leave… Left us stranded in Florence with no accommodation.
- Arif (7/5): The owner of the house, Lady Laura is interesting woman, she is more than explanatory for every detail, itruding to the - Great Location and clean The external private bath room is not so practical, hard pillows and bed.
- Lesley (9/5): Caring Hostess with a beautiful home. - Location and Laura's Cappuccino with croissant in morning. Husband is on the larger size so showers are always difficult in the small square corner showers.
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - Laura was an excellent host; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. She brought us breakfast each morning, and helped arrange a taxi for our early morning departure. The room was clean and comfortable. It's located within easy walking distance of many attractions and restaurants in Florence. Highly recommend staying here. Be prepared to haul your luggage up two flights of stairs. Next time we'll travel lighter.
- Tuğçenaz (10/5): Peaceful - Laura is the best host I have ever met! She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived, with an amazing location and a spotless room. There was a very sweet and fresh breakfast, and Laura was extremely helpful with all her kindness. The only place I will stay in Florence.
Thank you, dear Laura!

- Maria (10/5): Perfect, will come back to stay here again and would recommend it to everyone. - Property was conveniently located near Ponte Vecchio and easy to walk from to move around Florence. The property was clean. The host Laura was incredibly friendly and considerate, always making sure we had what we needed and ensured our stay was comfortable. N/A
- Annette (10/5): Laura was a wonderful host, the room was beautiful, clean quiet and comfortable. - Central location, lovely decor, quiet and comfortable, wonderful hosts.
- Andrew (7/5): Good - Big room and big bathroom, location was fantastic, just a few minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio. No air-conditioning. Bathroom separate to room (no conjoining door). Host meant well but was overly attentive, I finished my daily constitution and while my wife was having hers, she was interrupted by the bathroom door being opened by the host. Bells on the main entry door jingled every time we opened it. We just felt our privacy was limited.
- Rhonda (8/5): Very good -
- Gabriela (10/5): Thank you, Laura! - Staying at Laura's home was very nice, she welcomed us with a smile on her face from the first moment we arrived late at night due to a delayed flight. Amazing and caring host. The place was clean, the bathroom spacious, and the location great - within walking distance of the sights. We were a bit bothered by the lack of daylight from the windows, we had to keep the lights on all the time. But I guess there is nothing you can do about it, it didn't spoil our stay.
- Karen (9/5): Wonderful - Thank you for a wonderful stay , location and hospitality exceptional. Our breakfast was bought on a tray with care and attention to detail, it would have been nice to have options of meats and more fruit or a cereal the abundance of cake and biscuits became too stodgy after a couple of days .
- Shelley (8/5): Good value! - Great location near Arno. Easy in and out. Budget friendly. Careful thinking about what guests need like lights, shampoo, and large fan. Loved strawberries at breakfast. Cappuccino! Is obvious that Laura puts a lot of love and energy into this business! We enjoy local properties- note this is kind of in her house but with rooms to rent. I’m unique in that I can have a lot of back pain. A suggestion to update the bed as I could feel the springs. Closets had moth ball smell ( I have a far more sensitive nose than others). For breakfast, a suggestion to have a list of choices - as it felt like host was disappointed with what we cannot eat ( I’m vegetarian and will not eat a ham sandwich or runny egg).
- Peter (10/5): Home away from home in the historic heart of Florence, what more could you want? - Laura was an amazing host, she made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The location could not have been more perfect-close to everything in the city we wanted to see.
- Galloway (10/5): Excellent host and accommodation - Location was great all within walking distance to attractions but a very quiet place to relax and sleep. The host, Laura, was fantastic. Friendly without being over bearing. Very helpful very accommodating and nothing was too much bother. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom also spacious and clean next door to bedroom for our use only.
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional - Our hostess presented a lovely breakfast every morning (see the attached picture). Loved the fresh fruit and coffee's just the way we like them! Also appreciated how Laura called us a taxi last minute so we could go on a tour and let us leave our bag on the day of check-in and check-out! Our hostess was first class! Did not have a view from the room window but we were not expecting to. The room location was perfect for short walks and many excellent restaurants nearby. We even had the opportunity to take in a last minute Opera (The Three Tenors) on our day of arrival as well as a Vesba tour of the Chianti area of Tuscany
- Catherine (9/5): Overall wonderful! - Wonderful me. except smelled cigarette smoke in evenings / not sure if it was from inside or out - it bothered me.
Enjoyed the owner but she is particular about rules and could be interpreted as a bit harsh - a character who I enjoyed.
- Alby (9/5): Very pleasant stay Thank you Laura - Lovely welcome by Laura. Tastefully decorated room with a delicious breakfast served in our room.
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): Beautiful B&B in a Florence with an great location! - The B&B Fiordaliso is in a excellent location for reaching most of the attractions in Florence by walking. We were close to the museums, the domo, and the main shopping area. Our host was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Our room was very spacious and beautifully furnished. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very ample and delicious, served at the small table in our room. There are many great restaurants and bakeries a short distance from the B&B. If we ever go back to Florence, we WILL stay at this place again. We loved it. It was not a really bit deal, the only challenge we had was the three flights of stairs up to our room with luggage. But that was most of the places we visited in Italy. We both realized we need to get in better shape!
- Michael (9/5): Great base for exploring Florence - Convenient location. 12-15 minute walk from the train station. Easy walk to all the major landmarks and attractions. On a side street. So, relatively quiet. Clean. Very helpful and friendly hostess. Nice breakfast.
- Deirdre (7/5): Good - Fantastic location, good facilities, lovely breakfast. Host meant well, but was sometimes overbearing and we felt our privacy was limited.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at B&B Fiordaliso was phenomenal. The location is perfect for visiting all the attractions by foot and the room was very spacious and well-kept. Laura was a lovely host and we really appreciated her willingness to help, it was a wonderful welcome to Florence. Thank you, Laura!

- June (8/5): Good experience - Great location and service. Breakfast served in room everyday. We are not the biggest fan of Italien breakfast, but we appreciated the effort. Laura makes us feel very welcomed. All major attractions are within walking distance, but it can be quite hot and confusing to know where to go in the alleyways. Not great ambience but understandable
