- Nerida (10/5): We loved Amsterdam and everything about this property. - Great location. Super comfortable bed. Knowledgeable and helpful hosts. Nothing
- Vicki (9/5): Loved the size and the little kitchen. - Description said “garden view”. Um … I saw no garden. The room is kind of in a basement. The only window is a skylight.
- John (10/5): Very enjoyable stay - Excellent location and hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable NA
- M. BRADY (10/5): the city was nice, but the history, was deeply felt by my wife. - silent, nice temperatures in the unit, Amsterdam, doesn't need a/c units not one sidewalk was straight. made in the early 1600-1700-'s all made of fire brick or cobble stone, walking was a challenge
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loretta (8/5): Very good - Great hosts fabulous location. Host provided everything we needed That it had no windows and was dark.
- Wendy (9/5): Friendly, great location, and great room - Very central, big room with amenities Its not dislike - but the skylight
- Julz (10/5): Exceptional - We booked this apartment due to its quiet location in Jordaan. It was within walking distance to all Amsterdams attractions, restaurants, and local markets. The host had a krupps coffee machine and a delicious jar of Stroopwafles. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to make breakfast or a light meal. Highly recommend property to stay at. Nil
- William (10/5): Very enjoyable. Location is 10/10. - We had never been to Amsterdam before, and Studio53 in the Jordaan District turned out to be the perfect place to stay. The owners live upstairs and are very helpful with directions and recommendations. Guests have access to a kitchen and a free coffee maker, and the flat itself is spacious and comfortable. It's a short walk to the Anne Frank House and the Tulip Museum (a few blocks, less than 10 minutes) and only 20-30 minutes by foot to the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. The immediate area has wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes within just a few blocks. Our three favorite restaurants were Dutch, Italian, and Middle Eastern - all first rate. Worth adding that we were not bothered by street noise. It's a primarily residential block.
- David (7/5): Excellent location. - Excellent location. Close to local transport and great variety of restaurants and cafés. On site hosts friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Very limited natural light
- Russell (9/5): Superb -
- Eric (8/5): Very good -
- Lynley (9/5): Great location, welcoming hosts - Great location
Kitchen facilities No window only a skylight
- Thi (6/5): The most attraction of the appartment is its location. - The location is very central. From there you could reach markets, restaurants, and a lot of famous places within half an hour by foot or convenient by public transport. It is quite most of the time except when someone upstairs from the host family wakes up too early and makes some noise. The appartment doesn't have any window accept a small one on the roof. It is so dark even in the daytime and also has a suffocated feeling inside.
- Jana (9/5): Excellent location, wonderfully quiet, lovely hosts - we'll definitely be coming back! - We had the most wonderful time at Anna and Ad's place in Amsterdam! The neighbourhood (Jordaan) is amazing, the Nieuwe Leliestraat is beautiful, and the flat was very nice and quiet despite the wonderful location. There's a beautiful little bench outside the flat to sit there, relax and read and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee or a glass of wine. Anna and Ad are lovely and very welcoming. We're definitely planning on going back there next year!
- Vlado (10/5): Would definitely recommend this apartment and we would stay here again on our next visit. - This property was very clean, comfortable and in a great location. The owners were lovely, they were there if you needed them but otherwise stayed out of our way. Everything we needed was there.
- Raginho (8/5): Very good - Location was very good I'd say apartment is not on ground floor, but rather in basement (no windows, except the one in the ceiling). There was also humidity and moldy smell (after first night we got used to it...). Entrance is shared with host.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, quiet apt
- Mandy (10/5): Good value for money, cute apartment in a fabulous location with all the basics you need. - Fabulous location at a fair price. Plenty of room. Helpful hosts. I would definitely stay here again. Nice little kitchenette area with lovely coffee and other basics should you want to dine in (though we didn’t as the apartment is perfectly located near lots of lovely bars, cafes and restaurants). Enjoyed our morning coffee on the bench outside on this pretty little street. A very lovely stay! Room was a bit warm as only a small skylight for air but this didn’t matter too much as it wasn’t particularly warm when we stayed.
- Michael (10/5): A nice quiet studio in a perfect location - This studio is in a perfect location nicely tucked away in a residential part of town with a very short walk to many attractions. Mornings are beautiful and quiet and the neighborhood has a few small pubs on the corners. The room is very comfortable and has nice amenities such as a kitchenette, coffee maker with pods, umbrellas, shower supplies, blow dryer, and many recommendations for the city. None.
- Kimberley (8/5): Quirky property in fantastic location. - Quirky property in fantastic location. Not too touristy and surrounded by restaurants and bars and walking distance to many sights. Anne Frank’s house a short 5 minute walk away. Easy access to trams and canals. Everything you could need. Skylight made sleeping in a bit difficult. We would have loved a lighter blanket
- Tadas (10/5): Better than expected, location is perfect. - Location is amazing, hosts are polite, apartment is clean and interior is unique My girlfriend said she saw someone peaking through the window up top once, not cool. At least there are automatic blinds.
- Offir (10/5): Exceptional - The people were very helpful and welcoming, the location was great, The room is very comfy and well designed I especially liked the window on the ceiling which let you wake up with sunlight. It's clear thought was given for what you might need, for example the room had an umbrella and a shopping bag. There is very little cellular reception at the room itself it wasn't an issue for me but if you are planning on having phone calls consider going to the main room or using WiFi..
Having a drying rack in the small kitchen would have been useful in my opinion.
Anyways for me these are really nitpicky and didn't redact from my experience.
- Kazuma (1/5): worst staying place ever - location was good, near by anne frank's house, walking distance from dam square the room is located at the basement of the apartment and had only one small window at the ceiling and was almost impossible to ventilate the room. when we entered the room we noticed musty and dusty smell and soon after that me and my wife started to get allergy symptoms.
there were a lot of dust, spider web, dead bugs at every corner in the room. i couldn't understand how owner usually cleans the room.
the room description on Booking.con mentions about the free toiletries, but all i could find was half-used body cream, hair spray, etc. but there was no shampoo or body soaps.
Also the fridge, sink and kettles were
located outside the room, at the shared entrance hall, with a lot of leftovers from the previous guests.
- Anonymous (9/5): Lovely apartment in great location. - Location was great! Very slow draining shower (extremely) and bathroom sink. Moths.
- Rawan (3/5): We couldn’t handle the mold smell along with the flies and spiders and we checked out a day before - location and host was helpful mold smell, spiders and flies in the apartment
- Inka (10/5): Spotlessly clean, quiet, perfect location - Spotlessly clean, quiet, perfect location
- Sue (9/5): Thoroughly recommend - Comfortable and a great location easy to get to. The skylight about the bed, when lights were on upstairs, I felt I was in a spotlight.
- Gabriel (10/5): Our stay at Studio 53 was a blend of cozy ambiance, thoughtful amenities, and warm hospitality. - The apartment exuded a pleasant and comfortable ambiance which provided a cozy retreat after our daily explorations. The studio is smartly designed, packed with handy utilities that catered to our every need. We appreciated the availability of an iron board with an iron, a coffee machine complete with capsules, and an assortment of tea bags with an electric kettle ready for use. The bathroom was equipped with air blowers for drying hair which was a thoughtful touch. Additionally, the kitchen, despite being outside the room's door, was well-stocked with all the necessary items like plates, cups, and utensils, making it easy to prepare and enjoy a complete meal. Every small detail seemed to be well-thought-out to ensure a comfortable stay. The only window in the studio is a small one on the ceiling, which is quite different from what the pictures may suggest. Also, the kitchen being outside the main door might not be everyone’s cup of tea, especially as it’s separated from the shared hall with just a curtain. On the temperature front, we found it a bit chilly inside despite trying out the different heating settings, with the room temperature never going above 20°C.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Leah (10/5): Made the Amsterdam leg of our trip very enjoyable - Two minute walk to great bars and restaurants located on the beautiful canal system. Also only a five minute walk to the tram which is only 3 stops from Amsterdam Centraal station where you might go to meet tours. Spacious room, good check in and check out arrangements. We have no complaints about this apartment at all, thoroughly recommended
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anta (10/5): Exceptional -
- El-joh (10/5): Exceptional - Location and friendly hosts Nothing
- Carmen (8/5): Very good -
- Hazel (8/5): Very good -
- Nuala (8/5): Very good - There was no breakfast but we didn't expect it but there are lots of nice cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.
- Han-pong (9/5): Superb - Very well-stocked, comfortable and greatly-located place :)
- Panutta (9/5): very good location - location no window
- Nadine (7/5): fantastic stay - location, owners were helpful and friendly, easy check in skylight too bright even when shade was pulled too bright as it is over bed and if lights are on in above residence then room is too light
- Shira (7/5): Good -
- Louise (10/5): we felt super relaxed - the property had everything we needed and the location was great. very quirky decor which we loved and the space was spotless. we would return. nothing
- Bronwyn (10/5): Such a fab spot! - We loved the location, the comfy beds, the helpful info provided and the coffee! This is such a great find and Ad was lovely.
- Anonymous (10/5): Absolutely amazing! - Everything about this place was fabulous! The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything we wanted to do but also quite on the night time so you weren't disturbed when you wanted to sleep. The hosts were absolutely amazing and very helpful people. The accommodation had everything we needed and more for our stay and the bed was super comfortable. We will deffo refurn here again its the best place we have found in Amsterdam and we have been lots of times before. Loved it here! Thank you so much Anna and Ad! Nothing
- Molly (10/5): Exceptional - The location was wonderful and the owners seemed to care that we had a good time on our holiday.
- Matt (10/5): Loved it - Perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle.
Nice and quiet.
- Chris (10/5): Great mini break in a private, quiet location, just steps from restaurants, bars, canals galore - Excellent location, close to everything. The studio was a good size with a good stock of all needed for our stay. The only negative for us was the bed was softer than our usual sleep experience.
