Guest Reviews
- Holger (9/5): - Close to Tram, Bakery and Restaurants and away from the noise and stink of Amsterdam. Lovely, supportive and responsive hosts. Parking!
- Simona (10/5): - La struttura è davvero pulita, accogliente, spaziosa.

- Vince (10/5): This is a very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel to the city center. We’d highly recommend staying here - We enjoyed our stay here very much. We especially loved that this place is conveniently located to the city center. The room was very clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and spacious. We would definitely return, if we were to visit Amsterdam again.
- Andrey (8/5): -
- Steven (10/5): Gorgeous accommodation in an upscaled neighborhood with an amazing host - One of my best experience:
- Host (Marc) was SUPER nice, offered us great recommendations, and was very responsive
- Accommodation is located in an upscaled and quiet neighborhood, and yet only ~20 min to Amsterdam Centraal DIRECTLY by tram
- Stylish, functional, and clean room with nice backyard view and a huge full bathroom
- Beds are very comfortable (including the second bed when requested)
- As a bonus, guests can get daily free coffee from a nearby cafe that also offers great pastries Just a suggestion for future guests:
- Since the accommodation is in a residential area, Uber availability to go out is limited and could be pricey.
- During our stay, we took the tram when going out and took Uber when getting back. It strikes a good balance between cost and convenience.
- Marie-France (8/5): Place was clean (interior) and comfortable with a short drive to city centre - Comfortable beds. Large bathroom and tub. Good location. Easy to get around. Not enough towels and bathroom was too cold to dry any used ones. No washcloths. Was advertised as having a washing machine but when we asked to use it were told we’d have to pay $10 Euro. Discussed with Marc and he was gracious enough to forgo the charge. It was unfortunate that the patio was not clean enough and didn’t have seating for us to enjoy.
- Jodi (9/5): Excellent villa and hosts. - Very modern and clean apartment. All as described and owner very accommodating with answers to questions about arrival and transport to villa. Information about shopping and dining in area provided. Manual on operating TV ect provided. Nothing.
- Sebastian (9/5): - Marc and his family are very friendly hosts. The accomodation is in a very calm part of Amsterdam, but restaurants and shops are not far away.
- Christopher (9/5): Clean bright comfortable well serviced place to stay. - The location direct tram line in to the city of Amsterdam. Very quiet neighbourhood, good walking area next to villa.
Great cafe on corner. The villa very clean and tidy, comfortable beds. Handy having fridge. Super friendly host. Would recommend staying Villa Yburg while visiting Amsterdam.
Thanks Mark🙏 It would be good to have a seated area out side of the villa to relax ☺️
- Benjie (9/5): We had a good stay at Villa Y burg and we would not hesitate to recommend it - The proximity of the tram which got us in the busy city in no time
At night we could enjoy the quiet of the neighborhood
The proximity of the supermarket.
Our host were very helpful ,and checked on us to make sure that we had everything we needed The only small problem was to have no sink in our room,it would have been handy to wash our hands
Or boil water for tea
However
The bathroom was very nice and clean but you had to get out of the room to access it.
- Larissa (10/5): Warmly recommended! - Villa Yburg is comfortable, clean and located just a few busstops from the city center. The hosts of the villa are friendly and helpful.
- Yelyzaveta (10/5): A perfect location for a little getaway & at the same time close to the Amsterdam city center - Quiet and cozy accommodation in a nice area close to the water, a perfect location for a little getaway (especially for a couple) to relax and unwind. The room is equipped with a tea kettle and a coffee machine (much appreciated by us!)
Very friendly and helpful hosts, the communication was very smooth and they gave us lots of helpful advice. The city center is super easy to reach by tram, it's just 15 min away. Definitely recommend!
- Prasun (8/5): Very good - Behaviour of the owner was good It's a air BnB not a hotel.which was not listed
Also location is very far from central
- Diana (10/5): The staff is super polite, helpful and profession. The property is in amazing conditions and súper confortable. The hous - The rooms is clean and spacious! With a big window so a lot of natural light comes in. The bathroom was amazing with a bathtub and everything. The bed was very comfortable as well. It was not clear that this is a room for rent in a proper house, so that was a bit of a surprise, BUT it did not change the fact that our stay was wonderful and very comfortable. We could go in and out as we pleased and the neighborhood was super quiet and nice and relaxing.
- Vicki (10/5): Best home away from home. - Great location with easy access via the tram to all of the sites. The beds were so comfortable. Marc is such an accommodating host. Entire stay was beyond our expectations. Loved the entire stay.
- Sheila (9/5): Good spot to stay away from the bustle of downtown - Marc is an excellent host, checking us in and making sure we had what we wanted. Location makes it easy to get in and out of Amsterdam downtown. Very clean and quiet We stayed for 5 days and it would have useful if there was a laundry facility, or one nearby. (Mentions washing machine in listing)
- Anastasia (9/5): Feels as you immerse in the local people lifestyle. - Cool experience. Feels as you immerse in the local people lifestyle. You can see the unique vibes of Netherland. n/a
- Becky (10/5): Quiet, comfortable, private stay with large bathtub - I loved this location. It was 20 minutes by tram from Amsterdam Central Station. The tram ran frequently. It was a very quiet family neighborhood. It felt very private. The entrance is separate from the owners. The owners live upstairs/across the courtyard. They do not come into the rented area except to speak with you or go to their office down the hall (once). The bathroom was not in the room, but it was literally one room over down a short hall. Since the rented area is exclusively for the guest, I had privacy going to and from the bathroom. The rooms in the area are: guest sleeping room and large closet, bathroom, office (they mostly work upstairs when there are guests). The bed was comfortable and the room was large. There was a large closet where I could put my things on shelves. The bathroom was large and had a large bathtub that was great to soak in after a long day of walking. I couldn't find the doorbell when I arrived. It is to the right of the door hidden by plants. I had to knock on the door to check in.
- Martine (10/5): It was a very pleasant stay. - The place is in a quiet and beautiful corner of the city. It provided me with an oasis of calm. Marc went out of the way to ensure an enjoyable stay, always there with friendly greetings and useful advice. The room was elegantly furnished and both the bedroom (with a comfortable bed) and the bathroom were very clean.
- Karina (8/5): Very good - Close to tram and city, Hosts are pleasant, clean We weren't at the property other than to sleep and spend 4 days/3 nights, but it is a shared entrance with the with the owners, the bedroom is located right by the front door, we could hear the family's conversations, cooking, etc. The bathroom is in the Hallway, so not much privacy there. The Terrasse and kitchen acesswas closed due to Covid restrictions, it worked for us as we did not spend much time there.
- Yang (9/5): Superb -
- Birgit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tomas (9/5): A clean, light and well-maintained place in a modern villa. - In town for the usual annual trip to IDFA, I chose to stay away from the centre, and Villa Yburg was a great choice: clean, private, with enough space to park, work and store stuff, and despite the distance, easily reachable by public transportation ... all in a very quiet and modern but still charming atmosphere. The room is not huge (though the bathroom is!) but that's Amsterdam, and there's no need to climb the stairs. And it's a quiet neighbourhood so no nightlife, but that was the point here.
- Anna (8/5): Big room in modern clean villa - High celling, nice bedlinen set ,bathtub ,quiet , heater same entrance with owners, bathroom in public area not insuite ,
- Christhian (9/5): Nice and short stay - Very nice place and very nice hosts. Bathroom is outside of the room and there was no breakfast. A little far away from downtown.
- Rosanna (7/5): Good - Really liked the cleanliness of the room, the location was great only a tram journey away from Amsterdam which runs regularly and a nice touch that you get a free coffee from the local bakery the only thing we were a little bit disappointed with was the private terrace, it was in very plain view from the owners house which we felt was a bit intrusive. I was also under the impression that it was cut off from the rest of the house but we were very aware that the residents were there as we could hear doors opening etc but to be fair they didnt bother us our whole stay.
- Hamed (9/5): Superb - Clean room, all facilities as described and very welcoming staff. The toilet is not accessible inside the room, and there was no AC but the weather was nice.
- Tamara (9/5): Superb -
- Roman (8/5): Very good hospitality. Excellent hosts. Very helpful. - Modern layout and clean.
- Amelia (10/5): Great choice for us- close to the city center and very nice neighbourhood. - The property was very clean and close to the city center. We loved the calm neighbourhood and also that we had a supermarket close to the property. -
- Emöke (10/5): Fabulous, we would definitely go back again! - It was really a pleasure for us to get back to Villa Yburg every day after our visits in the touristic, busy downtown. Our bed was huge and comfortable, our bathroom was dreamlike (and also huge), we simply loved the place - and also the warm welcome by Floris. The place has a fantastic location, quiet and relaxed, close to nature, but with very good public transport to the city center (by tram). We also discovered that there is a direct bus connection (66) to the Johan Cruyff ArenA which we appreciated as we visited a concert there. We can't complain at all, we liked everything here!
- Tana (9/5): Superb -
- Raluca (9/5): Superb -
- Ma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Hosts were very friendly. Room was beautiful. Bathroom beautiful and spacious as well. Quiet neighbourhood. Bit far from city centre. But it takes just under 20 minutes to get to central station by tram.
- Harvey (10/5): A perfect stay in a perfect property in a perfectly fascinating city! - Starting with the welcoming host Marc and his partner, Linda, who were real caring professionals, everything was PERFECT. Property was new and spotless. the room was quiet and comfortable. getting to Central Amsterdam by 26 tram was easy and efficient. our only dislike is that we couldn’t stay longer and enjoy the property even more.
