Guest Reviews
- Tettero (10/5): Very comfortable and well supplied bnb - Very comfortable room and bathroom, good location, close to bus and tram. Lots of essential supplies like shampoo, conditioner, tea, coffee, butter, jam, lunch bags, paper towel etc. Lots of towels, umbrellas, cutlery, cups and plates. Beds comfortable. Quiet location. Friendly host. Nothing!
- Sylvie (9/5): Très bien - Les bicyclettes et les proprios Un peu loin du centre et gare
- Igor (10/5): -
- Emilio (10/5): - Posto bellissimo, con l'autobus si arriva benissimo.
Molto pulito
- Bhaskar (10/5): Our stay was a perfect blend of peace, inspiration, and warm hospitality. - A beautiful floating house in a serene setting. Heartfelt thanks to Tom and Tomoko, truly exceptional hosts who left us feeling inspired, fascinated, and deeply grateful.
- Glenn (10/5): 11/10 stay, highlight of trip - So satisfied and lucky to have found this boathouse to stay in. The house and room are so beautifully designed, always a pleasure to come back to the property after a day out in the city. The hosts are so helpful, communicative and friendly! Every morning we woke up to the beautiful canal right next to us with ducks swimming around! We were also greeted with lots of pastries and food and snacks and coffee and tea in the room! The room is full of amenities you need. Highly recommend Reiwa! This is not a criticism or cons by all means, just bear in mind this property is situated in Amsterdam East so a bit out of the main city area, but it is not a problem for us at all, we used the bus and Bolt services everyday easily! Costs of staying here is much cheaper compared to the main area too!
- Lisa (10/5): - We loved our stay, the location was perfect; we loved looking out along the canal and walks in the neighborhood. Shopping, restaurants and transit were close by, and the host was just great — very thoughtful.
- Amelie (10/5): - Les hôtes sont adorables, à l’écoute, serviables. La chambre est propre et très jolie Rien
- Miriam (8/5): -
- Roman (10/5): Exceptional - It's a great place to spend a weekend away from your busy life. Stay, relax, enjoy the water view, with some local birds swinging around.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clo999 (10/5): Quite, comfortable and pleasant - The area is so quiet, the room is big and the beds were very comfortable. The patio outdoors is great for a tea in the morning or evening. Great bathroom facilities, all really new and in great state. Owner was very nice posting me the earbuds I left there. You need the bus/tram to get to most Amsterdam places, but they pass quite often, the last one leaves at about 23.50 from Amsterdam central, and the 3+14 trams stop in 80% of the touristy places. Buy your multiday ticket via GVB app and you are golden!!
- Richard (10/5): Lovely stay and good clean room. Thank you so much. - Lovely peaceful location and kind hospitable host. Lovely area with really nice restaurants and easy access to the rest of Amsterdam. Good transport and easy to hop to Central station to get to the F1 in Zandvoort. Nothing.
- Kris (8/5): Very good - Charming modern houseboat location where Ton is a great host, flexible and charming. He prepared a nice breakfast and provided advice on dinner options. The room is very clean, has excellent WIFI and there is a public car charging station close by, so we did not have have to pay for parking space. Wished we could have stayed a little longer and enjoy the area, using the bikes etc
- Jerry (9/5): Superb -
- Milan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tatu (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, very clean and tidy boathouse in a nice calm neighborhood. Very soft and comfortable bed. Nice and clean shower and toilet.
- Paal (10/5): Recomended! - The landlord is extremely friendly and helpful. The room is clean and spaceous. And it was quite a thrill to sleep in a luxerious house boat. The location is a little further away from centrum than I had hoped.
- Siew (10/5): Lovely property , beautiful bedroom, clean and comfortable. Hosts were wonderful -
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephan (10/5): Exceptional - We were repeat guests and enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you Ton & Tomoko, we will come back!
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andre (10/5): We loved it. - A very well equipped room, beautifully decorated, with a wonderful view of the canal, and swans swimming by the window. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The house is five minutes walking from the tram stop. We would definitely book again. everything was fine. No complaints.
- An-th (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nolwenn (9/5): Fantastic, atypical place! - The houseboat is a charming place, away from the buzzing activity of the city, but still easily reachable. Ton is an amazing and generous host. This was a great experience.
- Mafmaf.ber (10/5): Superb stay! Great experience - Ton was very attentive and helpful before our arrival, during our stay and even after we left, he made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room is spacious, very comfortable, it has an amazing view and it feels magical, you can see the canal on one side and a beautiful front garden on the other. The amenities are very functional, the room it's nicely decorated and the bed was like sleeping in a cozy cloud. Tea, coffee and water are complimentary. The bathroom was extremely clean, shower had good water pressure and toiletries were included (shampoo, body Gel, Body Lotion, shower cap, cotton disks and cotton swabs), there's also a hair dryer available.
The location worked really well for us. There's 2 trams to reach the city, you can reach the train easily too. There is also a nice restaurants' area, walking distance (about 10min walk).
We had to leave early in the morning and we forgot a pair of glasses. We contacted Ton as soon as we noticed and he went the extra mile by shipping the glasses to us right away. We highly appreciated this!
We will definitely stay again when in Amsterdam and highly recommend Ton and his amazing house to anyone looking for a nice accomodation there. We liked everything!
- Rachel (8/5): A great short break. - Really comfy beds. Great transport links. We liked being on a house boat. Lovely hot shower. Thanks for the coffee and hot chocolate. Difficult to wash up.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Excellent value for money, comfortable and peaceful. - Stylish room in a super stylish houseboat in a quiet area out of the centre of Amsterdam. Very comfortable beds, good shower, coffee machine, fridge, toiletries. Centre easily accessible by tram or bus. Nothing.
- Alpa (10/5): Perfect - Ton was wonderful. Lovely location. Wonderful to have use of bikes.
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional - Reiwa was a very special place to stay. Very comfortable, wonderful hosts, an interesting neighborhood, and the most beautifully presented and tasty breakfast we could have hoped for Nothing
- Rimute (10/5): Unique houseboat experience - This houseboat experience was truly unique. Very accommodating and friendly hosts. Comfortable and relaxing room with a unique/modern style. Quiet neighbourhood with nearby transport/use of bikes available to get to the city. A fantastic weekend trip!
- Sameesh (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Reiwa was a peaceful and serene experience. The hosts warmly welcomed us and we loved how they decorated the place. It exuded a captivating aesthetic with its Japanese touches. Additionally, the accommodation was equipped with cutlery, a coffee machine, a kettle, and other conveniences. We also enjoyed the added delight of occasional visits from ducks and swans, enhancing the picturesque surroundings. It was truly a memorable retreat.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely big bright room with windows on each side. Beautifully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Excellent shower and the most comfortable bed ever. Nothing. It was further out of the centre than we realised but easily accessible by very good and reasonably priced public transport.
- M--c (9/5): Wonderful hosts, lovely floating house! - We had a great stay and we warmly recommend this place! The hosts, Ton & Tomoko, were very kind and helpful. The room was big, comfortable, clean and well decorated. It had lots of useful equipment (coffee machine, kettle, microwave oven, cutlery, etc.). We had the honor to get a Japanese breakfast prepared by Tomoko: it was delicious, we enjoyed every bit of it and it was one of the highlights of our stay in Amsterdam. Our hosts lent us some bikes to get around the city. There were water birds all the time around the boat house: we spent quite a lot of time watching and photographing them! The front garden is really beautiful and soothing. The nearby road was a bit noisy, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping because there is less traffic at night. We would have loved it if the shades/blinds in the room could block sunlight a bit better, especially the one on the side of the beds. Getting to the old town by tramway is a bit long, especially as we faced several tramway cancellations in the timetable: you would be better off using bikes.
- Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional - everything was great: the place, the room, equipment in the room, wonderful breakfast
the host was very nice and helpful
an amazing staying in Amsterdam
- Regina (10/5): Great place! - Very friendly hosts. The room had everything we needed (and more) and we enjoyed the view over the canal at the back and a small Japanese Garden at the front. Ton kindly lent us two bicycles which was an absolute bonus! We will definitely be back. Nothing - we had a perfect stay.
- Yuga (10/5): Exceptional - This is best experience in Amsterdam!!!
If the scores is 10 I will give 100!
Reiwa is very beautiful hotel!
Thanks for everything!
- Stephen (9/5): Comfortable and quiet place to explore Amsterdam from - Quiet location, comfortable room, friendly and helpful (english speaking) host, basic but adequate food prep (kettle, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, plates, etc.), ducks swimming by the window (Mandarin ducks, coots, crested grebe). Bus and tram to the centre are a 5 minute walk. Entry to room is via front door and then room door -- no miles of corridor and 25 fire doors! We like to see how ordinary folk live, work, shop, etc. and that happens more when you stay outside the tourist centre. Location is a bit too far out of the centre for a visitor who wants to hit a museum every day. Spring and Autumn would be ok, but a bit cold during our visit. But hotels in the centre are twice the price, so you have to make a choice! We walked from Central station to Reiwa on the first occasion -- about 4km -- but trams and busses after that. But we are senior folk -- younger legs may find it easier, and the trams do run all night. Euro9 for a daypass on the transport.
- Alain (8/5): slightly over priced? - great floating house, high quality bed linen and room decoration I missed to order breakfast
- Uliana (10/5): Exceptional - Everything perfect, a lot of drinks in room , coffee, tea, cappucino, chocolate, water for free )) we was for New Year eve, and we have even champagne 🍾 😀 Very gentle seniors owners , clean room .. JUST COOL . RECOMMENDED 😘
- Shuling (10/5): Exceptional - convenient/ quiet/warm/ spacious room/ kind landlord!!!
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable and accessible - the perfect stay! - The houseboat was such a surprise delight - modern, clean and gorgeous to stay in. The space is really beautifully done and has some lovely touches like umbrellas and other amenities. Thoughtful hosts. They are also very accommodating and caring. Nothing. The stay and hosts were perfect.
- Ahmed (10/5): Fantastic Stay, I would definitely come back 😘 - - Wonderful experience to stay in a floating house surrounded with water and swans
- The host is exceptionally nice, helping and welcoming
- The venue is walking distance from downtown and tram is available near by
- lot of wonderful restaurants nothing to mention
- Ron (9/5): special stay away from the busy centre - Beautiful and comfortable house in a quiet area with special atmosphere of a boat (actually floating) house in a neighbourhood outside the touristic center. super kind and helpful host. nice local café restaurants and bars nearby. The place is a little too far from the centre if you really on public transportation (rather than Uber).
The room is equipped with two single beds- which we knew beforehand but yet would find a queen bed to be better.
The only drawback we had was that during a 4 nights stay the room hasn’t been made up , cups and plates hasn’t been cleaned. maybe that’s just the way it is in this kind of accommodation because otherwise the place was impeccably clean and ordered.
- Samsuganda (10/5): Super cozy stay next to the river - I loved staying at Reiwa! This was our first time staying in a floating house next to a river so sleeping and waking up to that view was really nice. The room was very cozy, I love the blankets which were thick and warm since it was like pretty cold at night. They also had a heater. Ton and Tomoko, our hosts were amazing! They are really super nice and give you the privacy that you need. Nothing really
- Genevieve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amandine (10/5): Perfect stay - Very welcoming hosts!
The bedroom is very large with nice supplements, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the bathroom very clean.
The position in the city is great, we took the tram to go to the center, numerous trams goes to the B&B so very practical.
A perfect stay.
- Allison (10/5): just book it. you won’t be disappointed - everything. location , hosts. wonderful stay nothing
