Some cutlery, crockery would have been nice Only two glass cups provided, so needed to rinse these for coffee, water, etc, Given the price of the room two coffee pods seemed a little mean for two people staying two nights.

It's very clean(!) and the host is very responsive... to the extent that he is prepared to be. While the "Inn" in its name can make you think it's an actual hotel, it's really more of an Air BNB. The beds and pillows leave a bit to be desired (and there was no alternative pillow available).

• Adrian (6/5): Excelente ubicación si vas de fiesta y no te interesa dormir mal! - La ubicación es excelente sin maletas ya que no cuenta con elevador y está súper empinada la escalera, yo viaje con mi esposa y sus maletas están muy pesadas y súmale que la escalera tiene como 80cms de ancho pues más batalloso. El dueño muy amable sin embargo, varios detalles que debe de atender. Se escucha todo el ruido de la calle, enfrente hay una tienda que cierra a las 2 am, excelente para comprar pero eso hace que mucha gente vaya ya borracha y cuando hablan se escucha todo y no te dejan dormir, la cama muy ma debido a que son dos camas individuales y aparte están chuecas, es decir, te arrastran para la mitad de la unión de las cámas, muy mal dormir ahí.

La calle es muy entretenida, con todo tipo de variedad de locales, incluyendo un supermercado a poca distancia Los únicos inconvenientes, la escalera, que es muy empinada, sobre todo si se va con maletas grandes, y lo otro quizás un poco inconveniente es que la ventanas no tienen aislación de ruido, si que si es gente de sueño liviano puede ser un problema, ya que es una calle con bastante movimiento

The room was well thought out even though it is an old building. As long as you remember that you are in an old building mid in the city, noise could be problem. Otherwise everything was just right.

This is a great accommodation right in the heart of Amsterdam. Super walkable to all the main sights. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.

• Çağdaş Can (9/5): We loved this hotel - The location is right in the center. As soon as you go out to the street, you are on the most enjoyable streets of Amsterdam. Michel is an incredibly cheerful and energetic person. Even though we were so tired, he greeted us so energetic. We felt really good. Even that's really enough. We loved him and his way of communication. Everything is fine.

• Kathleen (9/5): We had fun in Amsterdam! - Michel was a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful. He brought us extra coffee and tea and cleaned our room and gave us clean sheets and towels 3 days into our 6 night stay. The apartment was VERY clean. The location was fantastic. It was very easy to get to all of the activities that we had planned. There is a Jumbo Market close by where we bought breakfast food, and lots of restaurants and shops. The food was very good at 't Zwaantje right next door. A reservation is recommended. The stairs were a lot to deal with every day multiple times a day, but I am in my 70's. They would probably be no problem for someone younger! They are very steep and narrow which is common in Amsterdam, but we weren't used to that. We wished there had been a microwave and dishes so we could have heated up leftovers. There was a coffee maker and a teapot so that was good. Also, another chair would have been appreciated. We were both sick so we spent more time in the room than we had planned originally during our 6 night stay.

Michel had the room ready for us early and offered extra coffee for us since we were still adjusting from our flight. Great communication and very kind host. The room was clean, shower worked well and we loved all the windows! So much natural light and blackout curtains when you need them. Thanks Michel. Luckily we didn’t need AC. In warmer weather I could see that being an issue. Slightly loud on the street side at nights, but that’s a part of being at such a central location close to everything. Could maybe use a couple extra soft pillows.

• Olivier (8/5): Bonne surprise dans cette gamme de prix. - La chambre est plus spacieuse et l'aménagement plus moderne que la moyenne pour un hotel dans le centre ville et dans cette gamme de prix. L'escalier bien que raide et un peu étroit, est plus facile que dans beaucoup d'autres hotels du centre ville. Chambre propre et assez spacieuse. Salle d'eau opérationnelle, moderne, et propre. Peu de chambres, donc moins de risque d'avoir des voisins bruyants. Quartier très agréable, vivant mais pas trop bruyant. Aucun problème majeur, mais quelques points : L'escalier est raide et un peu étroit, mais c'est très habituel à dans le centre ville d'Amsterdam. Pas vraiment d'accueil physique si le propriétaire n'est pas sur place quand on arrive, mais c'est le concept de cet hôtel. Un des bords de mon matelas était affaissé - cela ne m'a pas empêché de dormir, mais ça peut être dérangeant.

We took both rooms as a family. Very safe and secure. The only issue for some people maybe the stairs - they’re quite steep but they were no problem for us as we have no mobility issues.

Great for a couple weekend Minor details: the fridge wasn’t cold even after 24h on, and the windows system (typical of Amsterdam flats) are not the best when it’s windy (make a lot of noises)

Room was lovely - immaculate, well appointed. Good coffee maker. The host was excellent - very welcoming and helpful. There is a very steep narrow staircase to get to the room, so for someone with mobility issues it would be difficult. But this is normal for the houses in this part of the city. The host helped carry the luggage up for us, which was great.

The B&B is located in the very center of Amsterdam which makes it possible to get around even without public Transports. Michel, the host, was super nice and helpful with all the question we had! • Heather (10/5): Beautiful location, a little hot without AC - I loved the authentic feeling of staying in Amsterdam like a local! The location is really great about 10 minute walk from public transit. It got very hot in the room around 14:00 until 19:00. There are fans in the room, but because the hot afternoon sun pours through the windows in the afternoon/evening, the apartment gets very toasty. (We traveled in late April)
• Yurii (6/5): Pleasant - Location is great, and owner is very nice. Only a kettle and coffee maker, not even a fork or a plate. Forget about eating at home. Pillows are very hard, way too hard. The floor is pretty tilted, but I guess it's not a big deal

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The main issue was the price but it was our first trip to Amsterdam, so I don’t really know what prices are like elsewhere and it was Easter weekend. The bathroom was a good standard but the shower wasn’t very powerful. A small point but at this price point I would expect better. Also, only two coffee pods were left for a two night stay.

• Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Michael was a happy and friendly guy who made a point to call and introduce himself and to check all was ok. The stairs were at first a challenge but we got used to them if we took our time. Great location in the centre of Amsterdam and we had a quiet room at the rear. Lots of restaurants around the inn and Anne Franks house a short walk. Just 2 rooms in this quant place and I recommend this to anyone considering it but consider the stairs could be an issue if you have mobility issues.

Not a dislike really but it must be mentioned that the stairs are very steep but so are most stairs in Amsterdam apartments and may not be suitable for people with mobility problems but we are in our late 50s and still managed them.

Excellent location with easy walking distance to all main areas. Very quiet and restful considering a city centre location. Small supermarket opposite if needed and good options for food and drink right on doorstep. Host very welcoming and friendly. Stairs are steep but this is mentioned in the property information and host happened to be home to help with luggage. Host also Available easily for any queries or advice. A fantastic property: wholeheartedly recommend. Having to leave.

Very nice host, thanks so much Michel - It’s in a great location and the place is very clean and Michel is a really nice host, we txt him one afternoon just asking for more coffee when he had a spare moment , within a minute he was at our door with the coffee pods, we had a good chat with him, he is so very friendly. Nice bathroom comfy bed To be honest it was the staircase but it is Amsterdam

• Christos (8/5): Great location, very clean. Bed comfy can be improved. Need for a desk. - Host (Michel) is a great guy and very willing to help or guide. Location of the room is great. It is in walking distance to metro station (Rokin), shopping areas, restaurants, museums etc. Very clean room, great internal temperature (during winter as the outside temperature was 0 degrees). Access to the room is through a very steep ladder. That was not a problem for me though. Bed was uncomfortable as the two single beds were joined to form a double one and because of that in the middle there was a slot. Michel said he will look into it for the future. There is no desk if someone wants to use a laptop to work.

• Charleve (10/5): Excellent location for a cozy getaway in the Nine Streets Area - The location is perfect. So many great places for coffee, pastries, and dining. You feel like you're in the center of everything without being in the touristy areas around Dam Square. Our host was extremely friendly and even left a bottle of sparkling wine for our anniversary. I like the easy access with coded doors. A simple charming no-nonsense room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom fan could use a little love - it got very steamy in the whole room after a shower.

• Ryan (10/5): A beautiful place in a great part of town, well suited for most people - The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and adequately furnished. It is a convenient location in the city to branch out from. Some of the major tourist destinations are within walking distance. There are many dining options close by as well as an Albert Heijn grocery store if you want to store breakfast/lunch items in the room's small refrigerator. While I was there the city was stringing decorative lights above the street adding to the scenic Dutch vibe. This part of the city has many canals and is very beautiful. You'll almost certainly enjoy a stay here. This area is busy with many people and tourists, so if you don't like that you'll need to lodge much further away from the city center. This is a beautifully remodeled old Dutch house, and as such the stairs are steep. If you have serious trouble walking, it is probably not ideal for you.
