Near restaurants and shops in Erin. A smart TV in the triple room with an ensuite would have been perfect. We didn't feel comfortable watching TV in the common area.

• Tobias (9/5): Lovely B&B with exceptional breakfast - Staying with Janet and Trevor was a lovely experience. We felt really welcome and it was such a nice experience. The Century Room featured its own bathroom and we had plenty of space for everything. The breakfast was exceptionally good. Everything was clean and overall it was a perfect stay.

Location not important to us since we were visiting people in the town. We didn't like the weird and impractical shower tap set up. It actually needed instructions to operate and appeared dated. It was defective and could not be adjusted for height. It should be replaced..

The home was lovely, the bedroom spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was to die for, and the host was lovely. The grounds are spectacular. They were wonderful to allow us to bring our service dog. All in all a wonderful experience. Would book again if we are in the area.
• Trevor (10/5): - Tailwinds is the model of a B&B. The hosts, Janet and Trevor, provide stellar comfort, amenities, and service. It’s a beautiful property, with a lot of places to relax and chill. Tailwinds is a short walk to Hillsburgh and the locals are friendly! We’ll definitely be back!

The breakfast was delicious. I wish we could have stayed longer to check out more of the property and surrounding area.

• Barry D (10/5): Very attentive hosts for a great 4-day stay - Hosts very attentive to detail whether local restaurants, instructions or breakfast times/choices. Janet prepared bag lunches when needed to leave by 6:00 a.m. Beautiful, large bathroom, with only negative that it was shared with 3 rooms. However, only once was it busy for a few minutes when I wanted access. There was a small refrigerator/freeze available for guests. Breakfast items were very wholesome and of good quality with a variety of fruit, protein and carbs.

Whatever was left over, we took as a snack on our hikes through out the day. We loved the location and how quiet it was, we had so many easily accessible hikes and it gave us time to really be out of the city. The hosts are wonderful and responsive and made for one of the best bed and breakfast stays I’ve ever had. Would look forward to returning here again anytime!
• Tracy (10/5): - Beautiful snowy scene from the window. Behind the property is the Elora Cataract Trailway for hiking, skiing or snowmobiling. Restaurants are 10 minutes away or less.
• Mercedes (8/5): - We stayed for 1 night at this property. Check in was easy and instructions left by the owners was straight forward. The snow was cleared from the walkways and driveway. We stayed in the room with the large king bed and onsuite bathroom. The room was clean and well stocked with supplies. The bathroom shower did have a crack in the metal hosing which needs to be replaced i think. The best part of the entire stay though was breakfast. A large selection of mini quiche, crossiant, fruit, coffee, tea, milk, etc. And the owners took our dietary needs into consideration.

Something we weren’t expecting was that despite being listed under “NOT a pet-friendly b&b” upon entering we immediately were greeted with an overwhelming dog smell. They own a large dog and the smell dominated the duration of the stay which lessened the experience for us.

Breakfast each morning was a delicious variety. One night they even treated me to a lovely bonfire. Hosts were lovely and very knowledgeable about the area.

There was 3 of us and we shared a bathroom with another room. if you need the bathroom in an emergency, you have to wait. I wish they had a powder room we could have used. • Sylvia (10/5): We would recommend The Trailwinds to anyone looking for a peaceful place to rest. - We stayed in a large, spacious and comfortable room with excellent ensuite. It was located in a quiet and peaceful environment. The breakfast was excellent with everything that we could possibly hope for. The only small thing that I could ask for is for a brighter bulb in the floor light to facilitate reading. We are seniors and like to read before sleeping who find that more light is required.
