Guest Reviews
Rien.
- Halves (9/5): - Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch die Dame des Hauses. Frühstück für den günstigen Preis sehr gut. Eine gute Alternative für das mondäne Montreux. Ruhig am Ortsrand an den Weinbergen gelegen.

- Jacobus Kooijman (8/5): - Prima accomodatie, vriendelijke uitbaters.Mooie uitvalsbasis voor verschillende skigebieden.
- John (8/5): Comfortable and good location when travelling to the Alps. - Family run B&B in a good location when travelling to skiing areas in Switzerland and France. Single room with additional direct access to outside. Not ensuite but good shared bathroom, seperate toilet and shared seating & cooking area. Nothing really - tv channels pretty random and could do with an easy chair in the room (there is space).

- Barbara (10/5): - Anna was a perfect host! Greeted us with warm drinks and made us feel right at home. I was traveling with two friends - they had a nice twin room and I had a very cozy single room. Quiet and good bed. The shared bathroom was clean and well equipped. The property is lovely with a big garden and walking distance to town and the castle. The breakfast was plentiful with good variety. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- Claire (8/5): - Very hospitable and friendly.
- Rick & Lucia (7/5): Good value for weary pilgrims. - The room was warm, and the beds were comfortable. The host, Anna, was very nice and took good care of us. The pillows and pillow cases were old and should be replaced.
- Andrew (7/5): - Erynkind and flexible when Inhad booked the wrong night by mistake and they changed it without charging extra The decor is now a bit dated.
- André (10/5): -
- Ellen (8/5): Gute Unterkunft an der Via Francigena - Alles da, was es braucht. Sauber, gute Lage. Ruhig.
- Paul (10/5): Lovely family run B and B - For Switzerland it was reasonable value for money. Good location, just a short walk into Aigle. Not much choice for food and drink in town.
- Julie (8/5): Lovely location, garden setting, wonderful host - Lovely home atmosphere, on edge of town, quiet, but easy walking access to both the town and castle. Absolutely lovely host. I found the foam mattresses comfortable but very hot / but it was an unusually hot time in Switzerland.
- christine (9/5): - Excellent accueil d’Ana.
- Axel (9/5): empfehlenswert - top nix

- Elaine (7/5): - The host is very friendly, there is free parking available, and the breakfast is plentiful.
We used the kitchen to cook dinner, and it was great to have one available. However, the kitchen felt quite old and a bit messy/unclean. Since we stayed in two twin rooms on the basement level, there was only one bathroom. However, from time to time other guests came to use the same bathroom. Because they didn’t say anything beforehand, we were a bit startled and found it rather strange that guests from other floors were using it.

- Robert Christian (8/5): Nice stop on the Via Francigena - Friendly reception, possibility to handwash my clothes, good breakfast served early in the morning. And: I am not sure but according to the pictures on booking.com I think I got an upgrade wirh my room. Nothing special to be mentioned.

- Martin (9/5): - Very nice place, hosts were super friendly and helpful!
- Gregory (10/5): Ideal for a short stay to explore the Rhone Valley in and surrounding mountains. - The accommodation is placed amongst vine yards and with beautiful mountain views. It’s clean and comfortable with some kitchen facilities like a kettle and microwave. The breakfast included is generous and delicious. It’s only a short walk into shopping or the train station. The rooms require sharing a bathroom, and the kitchen facilities are limited.
- Catherine (9/5): Friendly BnB in a quiet home. - Friendly & homely. Comfortable beds. Easy to access via Francigena walk. Peaceful area with vineyards and walk to chateau.
10min walk to Italian restaurant La Nonna.
- Tony (8/5): Good value for money BnB in lovely location. - Nice room in bottom of house with 2 other rooms used by other guests and shared bathroom. All facilities were clean and practical. Breakfast was quite sufficient though rather regimented. Great location within walking distance of station, restaurants and the chateau. Check in before 5pm, no where to make tea/coffee during stay.
- Megan (8/5): Close to the castle and town - It was an easy walk to the castle and the town Everything was okay
- Robert (7/5): Simple shared facilities good for pilgrims - Good breakfast, friendly hostess. A handy stop on the Via Francigena with basic shared facilities. If you have UK or US plugs, make sure you ask the hostess for an adapter to fit the Swiss sockets.
- Anne (10/5): Great value - This BnB offered great value for the money. The owner was friendly and helpful. My room was basic, clean, and comfortable with a single bed. Shades could be lowered over the windows, making it very dark for sleeping. And it was very quiet. I had my own separate entrance to the house. The shared bathroom was clean. The breakfast was wonderful - it included yogurt, cereal, croissant, buns, cheese, meat, coffee, orange juice. It was nice to have an opportunity to meet with other guests at breakfast who were also walking the via Francigena.
I highly recommend this BnB for budget travellers.
- Pieter (8/5): Very good - Washing is so important for a traveler and the owner did ours - he just did it as if it was nothing
Good breakfast
- Isabelle (8/5): Very good -
- Ken (9/5): Excellent - Very nice location within walking distance of Aigle station. Very good communications with host. Great breakfast. Nothing
- Olivia (8/5): Very good -
- Deedee (8/5): Very good -
- Rafael (10/5): Great chalet with outstanding atmosphere - Superb family atmosphere and the owner being present and taking care of guests.
- John (9/5): Superb - Lovely cottage with a little vineyard on property. Good breakfast. I was nervous about needing to share a bathroom, but there were two bathrooms and one was very convenient to my room. Great location, close to train station and center of town.
- Leigh (10/5): A great value stay in Aigle. - Located in a quiet area amongst the vines, this BnB was very clean & comfortable.
The host had a secure space for my bike, and provided a substantial breakfast.
- Bastien (3/5): Poor - Convenient location close to train station Uncomfortable bed, minimalist breakfast, shared bathroom
.
- Sophie (9/5): Lovely cosy B&B, great facilities and wonderful kind owners - I absolutely loved this B&B.
The owners are super friendly and kind, they helped me with a charger when mine wouldn't work. They work during the day, so you need to give them an indication of when you will arrive, so that they can be there to wait for you to check you in. You are essentially staying downstairs in the owners' home - exactly as a B&B should be!
The room is clean and well maintained. Outside the room, in the communal area, you have a microwave, fridge, and plates/cutlery. I was walking the Via Francigena and grateful for all of these amenities! The bathroom was clean and well kept.
The breakfast was lovely - yoghurts, fresh bread and croissants, hot drinks, cereals. Again, exactly what you need before a long day of hiking! And you are only a 10 minute walk from the town centre (which has supermarkets, restaurants etc) and the castle (which houses a wine museum).
Overall for the price this was excellent value for money as it has everything you need, in a lovely setting and with kind owners. Nothing! I couldn't fault them. It was a lovely, homely experience, and the owners are very kind!
- Simon (10/5): Very comfortable stay & delicious breakfast - Lovely people, quiet location, great sleep, delicious breakfast. We also had access to a small kitchenette.
- Helle (8/5): Very pleasant room, quiet, nice hosts. - Curtains in the room would have been nice. And maybe better lighting.
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - Loved that my room opened onto the outside directly. Generous breakfast with plenty of choice. Bed was a bit small.
- Eduard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pete (9/5): Good value and friendly efficient service. - A lovely house in a beautiful setting. Perfect for access to the mountains and close to the lake.
- Cathal (10/5): Highly recommend - Great Welcome. Lovely Accommodation and facilities. Excellent Breakfast
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Floriano (9/5): Superb - The B&B was really clean. Rooms are half under the level of the ground but fresh and very cosy and quiet location not far from the castle. Owner very kind and the girl at breakfast time too. Maybe the best along my Via Francigena trekking till now.
- Winfred (7/5): Ok for 1 night in transit - I was received very kindly by the host. I had missed a train and called to say that I would be a little late and that was no problem.
The room is very simple, but it is sufficient for 1 night in transit. There were other guests but that did not pose a problem for using the shared bathroom/toilet. It was nice that there was a refrigerator available in the central area.
The breakfast was good and more than sufficient. Considering the price there is not much to complain about. Maybe a comfortable chair in the room, and a nice sitting area outside for guests on hot summer days.
- Helena (10/5): Great place, nice host - Walking distance to train, 11 mins to Montreux by train, great for Jazz festival, affordable, comfortable, nice host, flexible check in time, nice breakfast! Single room with separate entrance. Nothing
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Something like mama hotel :-) - “here is your coffee, here is your still warm baguette, bon apetit”
Thank you so much :-)
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (7/5): Very friendly - The staff were very friendly and made a special effort for a gluten-free breakfast. Fridge and kettle available. There was a mix-up about my arrival time which meant I had two wait two hours for someone to let me in to leave my bag. (We had prearranged this but there was either a miscommunication or it was forgotten)
Only one bathroom between three rooms is a bit busy!
- Patricia (10/5): We loved everything. - We loved everything about the stay.
- Alecos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (7/5): Good place to stay. - Nice place to stay for the night. Hosts were friendly and didn’t mind about an early check-in. Rooms were comfortable if a little basic. Opening and locking the doors was a bit complicated.
- Hans (8/5): Very good - Nice chalet about 10 min walk from town centre. Facilities all clean. Breakfast served was very good. All bedrooms and common area are downstairs. Might be a bit dull if you have to spend some days there. No facilities to make coffee or tea. But - all clean and owner very friendly
- Paul (9/5): A nice charming place to spend a night - I had my own quiet room and got a good breakfast for a pilgrim a must.
I got a good advice for a restaurant for dinner.
- Elena (10/5): Lovely - Nice, quiet place. Lovely owners. I am very satisfied with my stay. My bicycle was safely parked in the garage.
- Madeleine (7/5): Clean, quiet and friendly - Clean room, also the shared bathroom.
Location very quiet, close enough to restaurant and supermarket.
Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
- Meriau (8/5): Simple accommodation with friendly and helpful host in a great location - Perfect location for walk up to the chateau !
Friendly host . No drinking water but the host provided bottles of water
- Margarita (10/5): Very cosy, stylish and lots of care from the hosts! - We were nicely surprised by the quality of everything proposed for the guests: the comfort of rooms, nice breakfast, kind hosts, beautiful decoration - everything. The place is very close to the station which is one more advantage! Lovely staying in a lovely place! Thanks a lot for welcoming us with heart!
- Dmytro (10/5): Exceptional - The place is awesome! Just look up to the windows in the morning, and you will see the mountains with snow hats! The breakfast was brilliant - fresh backed croissants, coffee, juice, yoghurt, becon, chees, mandarin ... tha atmosphere in this place is awesome! Will come back for sure and will recommend this place!!! Everything was perfect!

- Masanori (9/5): great - Hospitality is great enugh to repeat.
Very quiet room to sleap.
Japanese taste room is something!
- Eva (7/5): Good - Very kind, good loving people. well, they could repaint/refresh the walls in the room. the room is expensive - for what i got used to it in a family-type room.
- Russell (8/5): Very good - Good breakfast, comfortable beds Share bathroom
