Guest Reviews

- Dara (9/5): A very pleasant experience. Sherif is a gentleman and great at what he does! - It was quiet and comfortable. The rooftop for breakfast is close by and the view is great!
- Brendan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Genesis (10/5): Best hotel in the world - Where do I start? These people treated us like family. That's priceless to me! Comfortable, clean, and in front of the pyramid, beautiful. Thank you all for treating us so well. We'll be back soon. We'll miss you❤️
- Mounzer (10/5): A beautiful clean comfortable hotel in a cesspit of an area - Location to the pyramids, the rooms were spacious and comfortable the bathroom was excellent, the beautiful terrace for just looking in marvel at the Pyramids, I can’t fault the property It’s not the property, the property was safe clean and comfortable, the surrounding area is just horrible, between the touts and the general chaos of Egypt everyone around the area is looking to take from you, kids begging then getting annoyed when you don’t give them 5 pounds to the touts who want 10 dollars for shaking your hand. Take advantage of the restaurant and terrace because besides the actual Pyramids that whole area is a cesspit.
- Semih (10/5): Thank you Sherif for everything - Everything is good, this place is very hospitable.
- Diez (10/5): Pleasant stay - My wife is celiac and we were able to cook her food in the hotel kitchen. They enabled a new kitchen to be able to give us the service.
They adapted the breakfasts to be gluten free.
They were understanding of the celiac condition.
The owner is very pleasant and helpful with our needs.
- Md (6/5): Pleasant - Staff were very helpful. We were given a room which was away from actually advertized location.
- Mike (10/5): Perfect - First time in Egypt and was greeted with great hospitality from our hosts Sherif and his family. Genuine people who were really helpful with everything. If you needed anything like a driver for a day that would be arranged for a fair price. Also a really nice view of the pyramids and sphinx. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel back home!
- Connie (10/5): AMAZING!! - We had the best time at the hotel!!! Sheriff and his family took good care of us. We felt quite safe and secure. He offers nice and affordable tours which made it very easy for us as a family as we always had someone with us who could guide us and communicate with others in their home language. The hotel is clean and affordable
We was able to enjoy the beautiful pyramids as well as Cairo. The view from the hotel is very beautiful and the entrance to the pyramids is only a few meters away. In the same building they have a fantastic perfume shop with lovely scents and they also have beautiful paintings for sale on the first floor. We are super happy with our stay and highly recommend it! We were happy with everything!
- Davide (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place and amazing place
- Jingyi (10/5): Great Stay with Wonderful View of Pyramid - I enjoyed a nice stay here for two nights. The owner Sherif and his family were super welcoming and went above and beyond for guests. He helped arrange reliable tours with huge flexibility. I really appreciate their hospitality and efforts to make my stay in Cairo relaxed and comfortable as a solo female.
The location is perfect for pyramid visits as it is close to the entrance with several restaurants around. The view on the terrace overlooking Sphinx and pyramids is amazing. I would highly recommend it to travellers for the pyramids!
- Daniel (10/5): Definitely recommended - Everything was very nice. Sherif, the owner, worried about us from the very first minute. He made sure we were okay at any time, and he even invited us to have dinner. The place was very good overall, good rooms and very hygienic. The views were astonishing from the hotel roof. Definitely recommended. Maybe the pillows, it would be nice to have a normal pillow instead of a big one, but it was nice.
- Tony (7/5): Room and View is good. - The hotel is just right in front the pyramid area, the view is fantastic. [ Don't Book Tour With Host ]
[ Same money, you deserve a better one ]
Here is not a hotel. It is more like Airbnb. If we are talking about the room, it is ok. However, if for the total experience, not very well. I booked the tour with the host, $220 USD, got very poor quality tour, especially the first day. We visited the pyramid and did the camel ride and some spot.
1. Camel ride : He will try to make you happy but not really and then bring you to the side before finish and asking money. Feel rude and not safe which force you to give him money, cause you were on his camel.
2. Spot sightseeing : It should have tour guide always with me and explain the history. Different spot has different tour guide and the tour guide isn't well organized. I booked the tour month ago and the tour guide seems just be noticed a day before and didn't know where should he take me to...... One tour guide even said the day is too hot, let me view museum by myself. What is that?
3. During the tour, they always try to miss leading you and always said your choice. I paid for the tour, the tour should has the thing you promised. Tour guide be my side is the deal, not like making decision in last minute and try to minimize the tour time.
4. When the tour finished, no matter how tired you are, he will bring you to "his shop" for shopping papyrus. Really annoying even you refused to go.
- Luz (10/5): The view is the best!! - Sheriff, the owner is such a great host and good people. I recommend the place! Im very happy with everything
- Luliia (10/5): Everything was great 👌🏻 even though there was no electricity the day we arrived but the view!! it’s worth everything. th -
- Danhobby (9/5): Superb -
- Marwa (7/5): Good - I like the room which was spacious and clean.
The brackfast was modest.
I really appreciate the view of pyramids from the rooftop. So noisy.
- Lacramioara (9/5): Great location to view the pyramids. Amazing host! Great staff! All in all - wonderful! - Superb view of the pyramids. Quiet and relaxing. Amazing host!!!! Very kind staff, all very helpful even after our trip ended. Careful and considerate. Great breakfast, and all help is quick and in detail. This is not exactly about the property itself, but the only disadvantage was the fact that camels and horses were parked on the street in front leaving a heavy smell around. Again, not negative about the property, but it impacts.
- Mohamed (10/5): Feels like home - Nice location
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (7/5): Ok - Great view of the pyramids from the roof. Was being renovated so very hard to find as no sign on property and locked door. No doubt that is fixed now. Also no-one on site full time.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - This place is absolutely amazing a stone throw from the pyramids and the sphinx perfect accommodation perfect location and sherif and his brother were our absolute saviors angels. They organised everything for us so so grateful loved every moment of it.
- Choleuk (10/5): Remarkable Hotel near Sphinx - Good Location ,Good view Na
- Jacky (8/5): Good location - It's good value for money and the location is terrific with a view of the pyramids from the rooftop. Sharif spoke good English and helped arrange a taxi to pick me up at the airport to drive me to the accommodation which made arrival easier. I'm sure he would have been very helpful had I needed tours or other assistance, but I was only staying for a short time while en route to the black and white deserts. Like a lot of places in Giza, this place is exceedingly scruffy. The street outside the accommodation is used by horses and camels so expect to have to dodge lots of poo and smells. The stairwell to the rooms is filthy and with broken tiles. The bathroom is badly designed so the water from the shower drains towards the toilet and the floor never dries out.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Location, location, location! Sherif is an exceptional host and met all our needs. Easy check-in and check-out. Sherif arranged all our tours and provided all the information we needed to make our stay memorable. This is our second time staying with him and we will definitely return! And don't forget to visit his perfume and papyrus shops!
- Patrick (8/5): Very convenient for pyramids with helpful owner. - This is a room with access to a shared kitchen with coffee and tea provided. It is very close to the Sphinx gate to the pyramids and very close to the sound and light show. That said, most of the show can be viewed from the rooftop. The owner is very helpful with organising transfers and trips. The room is fairly basic and the tap in our room was loose but that’s a small price to pay for the benefits. I would stay there again.
- Howe (7/5): mixed experiences - The great view from its roof terrace. The water heater was not working. They tried to fix it, but for two days, it didn't work. The road right in front of the place has hundreds of camels assembled there every morning. Due to the animal droppings, you need to tread carefully when you walk around, and you need to accept/put up with the smell around when you get out.
- Attila (10/5): Great experience, would recommend. - Amazing view of the pyramids, it feels like a pharaoh. Great service and áll of the people were very kind and friendly. Rooms are clean, and food is delicious. Would definitely come again! Nothing that I can think of right now, there are a lot of people outside because of the pyramids, but it's normál around here
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Minhyeok (10/5): Exceptional - Calm and nice manager. Very close with the pyramids.
While i stay i wounded a finger by shaving knife. He took first aids. He is very gentle.
Pyramids are so close, and the rooftop is amazing. La
- Stefan (10/5): Nice, clean, great location and an excellent owner Sherif - Sherif is a great businessman that understands what western customers need, he offers few extra services but is not pushy about it. He is able to organise anything travel related, just ask. I was pleasantly surprise and had a great first night into my Egypt trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. And I made some awesome pictures from the rooftop.
- Bahadir (10/5): Exceptional - Location of the hotel amazing, just a step away from pyramids. Şerif(owner of hotel) is so nice and he also have little cute souvenir shop that you can buy papirus and some good staff. He orgonized everything for me, ATV tour, Nile river bot tour and etc. You can trust him and let him do everything for you.
- Ryan (10/5): Best view in town - Best view in town, great host with a good shop also
- Rhea (9/5): Superb - The place was decent with a great view of the pyramid. We had access to the kitchen which was great. The host was helpful and kind. Located in a busy street with a lot of camels and horses
- Nlycas (10/5): Exceptional - Best location and truly amazing host
- Joshua (10/5): Comfortable Guest House near the only remaining Ancient Wonder - Sherif is a wonderful human and is great help. He has assisted in organizing my adventures along the way and is always available if I need assistance. The guest house is located near everything you could want from a trip like Giza. Small little bonus: you can enjoy the Sound and Light show for free if you go to the roof! Because of the proximity of the pyramids, the noise from the streets can be quite loud. During the day, it's kind of cool hearing camels grunt, horse hooves hit the ground, and sounds of carriages rolling. At night, however, the dogs come out. But the good greatly outweighs the minor inconvenience. Bring some earplugs to use while you sleep and everything will be great!
- Joachim (9/5): I would recomend it to friends - The View from the rooftop is the seller. That is really something.
We let the owner book a tour for us to the pyramids on camels, which we enjoyed.
(Just inside the pyramid areal, they always want some extra money, which ist really tiresome. But that is not a problem of the hotel or the tour.) It was not so easy to find. Our driver had to ask around.
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Rooftop was great.
We had the place for ourselves.
Perfecf for the price
The breakfast was great.. ..but we only had one out of two as booking made a mistake saying it was included in the price.
- Naktibalda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (10/5): A holiday to remember for all the right reasons - I have travelled the world for the last 50 years and been to many interesting places. This stay was exactly as expected, cheap, cheerful and most enjoyable. The staff were ‘gold standard’ probably the most friendly and helpful I have encountered anywhere. The owner Sharif took care of everything, transport, tours, domestics absolutely all things covered. Giza can be a minefield for tourists, having such a caring and friendly host really made the difference. Don’t expect swimming pools and other western trappings, expect warmth, safety and friendship. Highly recommended and pound for pound light years ahead of the big hotels. Dogs barking outside throughout the night.
- Prince (6/5): Confirm with host beforehand that you will get the room that you booked - Mr Sherif, the host took good care of our tour needs, he was nice talking to. He kept in contact before our arrival time and till we departed.
Our tour driver, Mr. Mohammad was also excellent and showed us around cairo and made us feel welcomed. If you book tours with Sherif, ask for Mohammad as your driver to see cairo. We were shifted to a different hotel which was a cheaper accommodation than what we booked for. Other than this issue, my stay in Giza was really good. Host said they had some electrical issues with the original hotel,
- Leonard (1/5): Bait and Switch - Rented a room at the Sphynx Palace. Met Sherif, very friendly guy, or so I thought. He met me close to the hotel and brought me to what I thought was the Sphynx Palace hotel. When walking in, we went into the Anubis Hotel. I payed and was shown my room in the Anubis hotel. The room itself was OK, but not what I had paid for, or on par with that.
Sherif should have explained that he had over sold his location or made a mistake. It's completely unethical to book me into the Anubis hotel at the same rate I paid for his hotel. I paid 12000 Egypt pounds and minutes later I found I could have got the same room for 555 Egyptian pounds through booking. Nice. Also it is in a pretty run down area, along with the camel and horse stalls and wild dogs barking all night. Be warned.
- Ponpen (8/5): Very good - top roof was calm. wifi suddenly didn't work.
Camel or horse exkrement in front of the hotel.
receptionist doesn't get English.
- Bartlomiej (9/5): Great terrace view and supportive owner - property worth of its price - location really close to “Pyramids Area”; great terrace view on Pyramids- you can sit there all days; watching “Light&Sound” show for free Everly evening for few times - priceless.
very helpful owner; he organizes private tours out of Cairo (we have chosen two - Alexandria and Fayium Oasis- which we enjoyed a lot); he owns two souvenirs shops, perfume fabric and papyrus gallery - he can support you if you are interested in this kind of stuff (if not, as we were, he was not pushing very hard) room and co-space were not very cozy; no window; not that clean and well maintained; even no toilet paper provided - but with this price we accept it fully, as you are going there for terrace view.
- Ponpen (10/5): Exceptional - Professional employers.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - A view of the Pyramid site worth its waiting camels. Free access to the terrace and well equipped kitchen with all the necessary facilities. Very clean. Sherif was able to solve any problem and was charming, not pushy, pragmatic and efficient.
- Brett (10/5): Perfect in every way! - The owner was amazing! He took care of us above and beyond our expectations. the rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. I can’t say enough about this place! We loved it!
- Lindakytc (8/5): Great stay at guest house with pyramid views. - Great stay in a guest house with Pyramid View
Liked · Mango Guest House my group of 8 took over the entire place. It was basic but nice enough and lots of bathrooms. Correspondence was spot on and we were checked in and checked on by the owner. Had help with the luggage as there are only stairs. Rooftop and some bedroom windows had excellent views of the pyramids. You can actually see and hear the light show. Breakfast was eggs yogurt and fruit held in a sit down area on sofas in the kitchen.
The Pyramid camels/riders would on the street passing by and waiting at the corner at 8am as their entrance is just down the street so that was very interesting and great photo ops. There is shopping down the street and I felt fine walking around at night. There was a lot of people around as there is a walk in entrance gate to the Giza complex and they have night events all the time. Indeed we even saw men in tux entering. Guest house not reponsible but it is on the street. Because of the daily camels back and forth on the road it was rather soiled and stinky so you did not want to drag your luggage on the road so make sure the helpers carry the luggage in their arms. Having all the camels and riders right there was exciting and good for good photos made up for this.
- Mustaque (10/5): Exceptional - The owner Mr Sharif is a very kind hearted and amiable gentleman who took great care of our tours in Egypt, he also have helped us in many ways like hotel booking ,trip booking for farafar and Luxor, bus and taxi booking and above all he is a genuine business man who organises tours at a reasonable rate.
The view from the rooftop is just woooww.. rooms are spacious and very clean. Nothing.. Everything is perfect
- Zoltan (8/5): Very good -
- Amr (9/5): A night in front of "The Greatness Of Pyramids" 😍 - Exceptional view from the roof, I really liked it, and the view is really great with light and sound shows.
The room was clean and the bathroom as well. Very calm at night and helpful staff. Just uncontrollable things as dogs barking at night nothing more.
- Julie (9/5): Great base for a few days sightseeing. - Great value, helpful host, amazing views, comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi, shared kitchen with kettle, fridge & microwave.
The location was perfect for us, so close to the Pyramids that we could watch the Sound & Light show from the rooftop terrace & with Pizza Hut, KFC & lots of local shops & eateries just a few minutes walk away we felt comfortable venturing out in the evenings.
- Дмитрий (10/5): Best host and view - Super mega friendly host.
Perfect location - 1 minute from entrance to pyramids and 30 seconds from exit.
Terrace with great view to pyramids.
If sometimes we return to Giza, we definitely stay this place. Hard to find place (no sign at the door). Try to find camel pacific ☮️🐪 graffiti at the fence - that means you are in the right place.
No reception.
So you have to keep in touch with the owner (don't worry, he has perfect English) and it's better to have local sim card to get inside.
- John (8/5): Very good - Sherif is very helpful. Value for the money is great with clean rooms, warm water and a small kitchen.
He is a salesperson, but does give a good price for tours.
- Emmanuel (10/5): The host is one of the best in the city and the experience here is unforgettable. - The mattress, the pillows, the location, the service, the views.

- Olivia (9/5): Great view of the pyramids! - The location was great as the rooftop had a beautiful view of the pyramids, the check in was easy and our room was nice and comfortable. Great place to watch the sound and light show. Very safe with two doors to unlock before you can access the lobby, and the host responded quickly. The owner kept asking us to visit his souvenir shop, and when we had to go there to pay for our stay we felt like we were being sold to and encouraged to purchase. It was awkward saying no.
- Jung (9/5): Superb -
