• Carla (10/5): - Nos trataron muy bien y nos ayudaron a coordinar el barco desde Sierpe y a resolver un problema que se nos presentó. .
• Dorothea Seng (9/5): Super schönes und großes Zimmer mit idyllischen Garten und viel Ruhe - Sehr großes Zimmer zu zweit mit je zwei großen Betten plus einem Hochbett. Klimaanlage und Ventilator haben sehr gut funktioniert. Vorne draußen gibt es Stühle, ein Tisch und eine Hängematte und einen schönen Garten sowie eine Wäscheleine. Es gibt eine Küche mit zwei Herdplatten und Kühlschrank. Das Personal war sehr nett. Sie hat uns viele Tipps gegeben und man konnte bei ihr vor Ort problemlos Touren für den Corcovado Nationalpark buchen. Sie hat uns sogar unten am Strand als wir mit den Boot von Sierpe ankamen mit dem Auto abgeholt und hoch zur Unterkunft gefahren. Das Schloss an der Tür ist ein Schiebeschloss, welches man von innen kaum aufbekommen hat, weil es geklemmt hat. Und wenn eine Person es von außen zu macht, kommt man nicht mehr raus. Die Tür geht nur durch den Schieberegler zu, weswegen man von außen zu machen muss, weil sonst die Tür komplett offen ist. Zudem haben die Tassen im Zimmer etwas muffig gerochen, als ob sie ewig nicht benutzt wurden. Was leider für mich besonders ärgerlich war, war das zwei Mal mein voller Teller mit Nudeln im Kühlschrank am nächsten Tag fast komplett leer war und auch meine Zwiebel war verschwunden. Vermutlich ist es jemanden runtergefallen, als diese Person etwas aus dem Kühlschrank geholt hat.

• philippe (9/5): - Il faut descendre une vingtaine de marches pour y accéder, donc en dehors de la piste principale, loin de la poussière et du bruit, dans un jardin. On voit même des animaux. Pascal qui nous a accueillis est parfait, étant français il nous a tout expliqué en français et nous a parlé de la culture de Bahia drake où il vit depuis 16 ans. De notre séjour de 3 semaines c'est le seul hôtel qui changeait les serviettes tous les jours et nettoyait la chambre Pas de navette gratuite pour nous descendre lors de notre départ

• Anabler (10/5): Un oasis en Drake - Lo bonita que era la habitación que aún siendo sencilla es grande y está todo muy limpio además de la comodidad de las camas. También la terraza es un punto a favor desde ella se pueden ver todo tipo de animales.
• Lou (7/5): Je recommande - L'emplacement est idéal. Nous avons réservé à la dernière minute car nous devions partir le lendemain tôt en direction du Parc Corcovado. L'hôte a été très chaleureux bien que nous soyons arrivés sous une grosse pluie tropicale qui avait coupé le courant de toute la ville. Pensez à prendre vos frontales !! Nous avons pu laisser la voiture dans un parking fermé gratuit. C'était très appréciable. Les chambres sont spacieuses.

Zat ook een lunch en ontbijt bij, super fijn. Transport van Sierpe naar het hostel was super goed geregeld. Veel leuke restaurantjes in de buurt. Mooie tuin aanwezig met stoelen en een hangmat, verschillende dieren gezien vanuit de hanhmat Beetje stijle trap op en af om bij de kamer te komen, met een zware tas op de rug was naar beneden gaan beetje een uitdaging. Op de vrijdag en zaterdag wat disco geluiden, met oordoppen in ging het goed.

Funzionale il lavandino grande nella stanza, bagno spartano ma comodo, ho apprezzato molto la gentilezza dello staff che ci ha cambiato gli asciugamani e rifatto il letto come in albergo! Vista sul giardino in comune che poi finisce nella foresta .. ho visto tante scimmie all'alba, mi sono divertita! Vicini da tutto il mondo, ma mai un disturbo. Buono il prezzo! Consiglio di mettere nella stanza dei ripiani, degli armadietti con grucce o qualcosa per appoggiare i vestiti perché io ho dovuto usare le sedie della veranda. La nota super positiva è Henar e la sua grande gentilezza! Sempre disponibile e presente. Attraverso loro abbiamo prenotato l’escursione nel Corcovado e ci siamo trovati bene, se non fosse che alcune deficienti nel nostro gruppo si sono presentate in ciabatte e la guida ha cambiato percorso perché ovviamente, in mezzo alla jungla in infradito non è intelligente andare. Ovviamente questo esula dall’alloggio che, per die notti, andava più che bene. Inoltre il prezzo era ottimo.
• Annika (5/5): Klasse Service, aber Lage neben lauter Disco - Riesiges Zimmer mit 3 Betten. Schöner Garten mit Hängematte. In den Bäumen neben dem Garten können Kapuzineräffchen beobachtet werden. Frühstück kann schon ab 5 Uhr eingenommen werden, um pünktlich zu den Touren zu kommen. Alle Touren und der Transport mit dem Boot von Sierpe nach Drake Bay können an der Rezeption unkompliziert gebucht werden. Bis um 2 Uhr nachts (auch unter der Woche) dröhnte laute Musik aus einer Disco vom Nachbargebäude, sodass man kaum schlafen konnte. Insbesondere ärgerlich, da man für die meisten Touren dort bereits vor 5 Uhr aufstehen muss... Zudem war die Tür nicht ganz dicht, weil sie nur mit einem Vorhängeschloss geschlossen werden kann.

• Brooklyn (10/5): Must-Stay in Drake Bay - I can't say enough good things about this place. The garden was absolutely gorgeous. I had spent the previous 6 days hiking all day every day, and just wanted to relax. The hammock and beautiful garden were the perfect place to do that. The AC worked great, and the room was massive. Can't beat the location. Up the stairs are great restaurants, and you can even go out the back to Mariposa street for a shortcut down to the beach. Strong wifi, and very quiet at night. Would absolutely stay here again! Nothing, it was perfect.

Lekker bankje met tafeltje op veranda. Super vriendelijke host! Kregen iedere dag schone handdoeken. Het is geen luxe maar voor weinig geld is het perfect.
• Eva (9/5): Recomendable 100% - La ubicación y tranquilidad de la zona. El señor que nos atendió fue muy amable y hasta nos recomendó lugares para comer y una ruta para pasear. Además la dueña se puso en contacto con nosotros para gestionarnos el viaje en bote desde Sierpe. A veces olía un poco la tubería del baño, pero con tener la ventana abierta mejoraba.
• Julia (8/5): - Die Unterkunft hat super unsere Überfahrt von Sierpe nach Drake organisiert. Am Strand angekommen, wurden wir von einem Truck abgeholt und ins Zentrum gefahren. Die Unterkunft selbst wirkt erstmal etwas verlassen. Die Zimmer sind jedoch groß und es gibt gut funktionierendes WLAN und warmes Wasser. Zum Strand muss man ca. 7 min den "Berg" hinunter laufen. In der Umgebung sind viele Restaurant. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden Der Abfluss in der Toilette hat etwas gestunken.

Het warme ontvangst en wat je de dagen kan doen dat je er bent alles was geregeld en op maat gemaakt voor ons. En ook voor vragen kon je elk moment bij haar terecht. Wij geven niet snel een 10 maar dit was zeker onze 10 waard en dat voor een hele goede prijs! Zoek niet verder, betere plekken in de wereld bestaan niet. Helemaal niets viel tegen

• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - This place was a steal, excellent price, super spacious and comfortable, hot showers, mosquito nets, cooking facilities. Henar was helpful and you can even book tours if you so wish through her. 10 minute walk from the boat.
• Sara (10/5): amazing value, a quality room at central but quiet location and very helpful host - All good reviews you find about this place are true! We stayed last minute 5 nights at an incredible rate in all comfort. Extremely kind hostess Sra, very good air conditioning (takes some time to find the right setting that you don't get even too cold), good matrasses, big pillows, warm shower (even too warm for us, it is was a safety hazard though to change its temperature all the way at the top of the electric heating element, but I'm sure the hostess would have helped if we asked), and they even made up our beds and replenished materials in our room every day, which was totally unexpected! They have a garden area with nice private rooms and outdoor kitchen with fridge, a minute away from the main road, the entry feels like it's your own secret passage way. For beach we walked 10min east on the same boats beach and had a lovely plot for swimming, sunbathing and watching the sunset. In this low season we started as the only guests in the garden area, after two days another group joined. From the hammocks, we could watch red macaws through binoculars for hours, and agoutis, squirrels and frogs right in front of us. We did have to walk up with our luggage and didn't get picked up by a car, but maybe because we booked only the same day of arrival, or because we were only two. But it is only 5min upwards walking from the boats beach and with some catching your breath it is no problem. The tour operation might seem slightly expensive but they can match any price you find online, you just need to ask (which is a bit uncomfortable but understandable). The only improvement I can ask the owners is to place an empty room between groups when they can, as the walls are a bit thin and other guests woke me up laughing at 10pm when we had to catch a 6am boat, and again another day at 5am when they had to catch a 6am boat (but my partner slept through it no problem so it's not that loud). With three empty rooms in the garden building, it would have been more comfortable if we'd been assigned further apart.

• Kristýna (10/5): A wonderful stay overall! We would definitely stay there again! - Great location and everything we needed was provided—including all the kitchenware and essentials. We loved being surrounded by wildlife; we saw parrots, frogs, agoutis, and more right around the property. The staff was super friendly and helpful—they even arranged our boat back to Sierpe for us. At night, there was some noise from nearby restaurants, but it didn’t bother us too much—and I think that’s something you can expect from most places in this area. One thing to note: there’s a gap under and around the door, so some insects found their way inside. Nothing dramatic, but just something to be aware of.

• Gesine (10/5): Good simple lodging. - Situated in a garden, it is really calm. The common kitchen is simple but functional. We enjoyed our stay. We would have appreciated a longer clothes line. The climate is humide and in Drake Bay you are going swimming and snorkeling, so there are quite some towels and clothes to dry.

There’s a nice breeze towards the top of the hill and some great views. I also saw monkeys, scarlet macaws and other birds in the garden.

• Ines (10/5): Best value for price in Drake Bay - Absolutely best value for price. Got 2 double and one single bed plus a private bathroom and a small entrance with a hammock, table and chairs. Conveniently located in the city but very quiet as it’s located downstairs. There is plenty of shade and at night AC sometimes is not necessary! Plenty of animals around as well Doors aren’t sealed so mosquitos get into the rooms. However the mosquito nets in the beds work perfectly fine!

Saturday night there was a party at the local bar. This bar is located right next to the house. Music was very loud and lasted till 2 am. Something to keep in mind. The door is made of metal and does not close fully. This means mosquito can come in. Plus side is the bed have nets.

The shared kitchen was decent. Closing the door to my room was tricky since you could close it from the inside or outside but you’d lock fellow roommates (in my case my partner) in or out in the process.

• Mikko (10/5): I was really relaxed here for four nights - This hostel was a very good one. I think they have made some improvements in the last couple of years. There was an AC in my room and no bugs or mosquitos at all inside. The bed was comfortable and the room was very big. I think the value of the room and quality was perfectly in balance. The hammock outside was my favourite. I could see parrots, toucans, iguanas and capouchin monkeys straight from the comfort of my hammock. Awesome! And also: everyone in the staff were very helpful. They even held my luggage during my trip to Corcovado. Muchas gracias! I would definitely stay again. If I had to say something... I think the doors of the rooms could be the next renovation project. I almost hurt my hand a couple of times to the lock inside because it was not tightly attached to the door. But this was just a minor problem.

• Peter (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel was amazing. Very spacious rooms, good facilities, and high quality beds. But the most amazing thing is the staff! They helped us out with al our booking requests/planning struggles, safeguarded our luggage during our overnight stay in the Corcovado park, and offered a shower while arriving back. Only positive words, we would definitely stay again!

• Maria (8/5): Good value for money! - Very spacious room with kitchen. Really nice staff. The access to the property is via a lot of stairs going down from the main road.

• James (10/5): Exceptional - Henar is very helpful and friendly, sorting out transport to and from Sierpe, picking up and dropping off at the beach and giving advice on things to do. The location is central in Agujitas, meaning easy access to restaurants and tour starting points.

• Dinuka (9/5): Superb - Exceptionally helpful host, great location Gaps around doors etc so mosquitoes were in the room overnight. Not a big problem but could be improved.
• Emma (8/5): Very good - Good location. Big room. Comfortable bed. I have no idea how, but even with the doors closed 24/7 I ended up with heaps of bugs in the bathroom.
• Linda (9/5): Perfect for short stay in drake bay - The location is right in the centre of drake Bay very close to all the restaurants and the beach is only a short walk away. The owner of the place is so very helpful and always available if we had any questions.
• Bdavidson (6/5): Not the best in Drake Bay - The air conditioning was good and the shower worked well. The location for the private rooms is not very good. It felt like a basement bunker, and there is no view whatsoever. The floors are smooth concrete. The door was steel and setup in a way that we could be locked in. There were millipedes throughout the room. When we walked into the room, we noticed mosquito netting over the beds. This was ABSOLUTELY necessary as there were plenty of those in the room. Still scratching.

• Glen (9/5): Perfect base for a night or two in Drake Bay - Perfect location in the heart of Drake Bay. Only a short walk to the beach, but Henar and her team collect and drop off guests at the boat for Sierpe anyway (as well as reserving seats). Simple rooms, but spacious with A/C and comfortable beds. Beautiful grounds around the accommodation with the opportunity to see plenty of birds. Great value for money Rooms are a little dark, but this shouldn’t matter if you’re just using the hostel as a base!
