Guest Reviews
- LIYAN (9/5): - Location Not enough hot water for two people
No hot water for bathtub
- Robert (8/5): Natone - Light, Airey and clean. Close to restaurants and 10 mins to city. Nothing. All good. Enjoyed our stay
- Nicole (10/5): We loved our stay at Natone. It had everything we needed. - Location and it was cosy
- Juan (10/5): Beautiful place, close to the water, restaurants and pubs, excellent to enjoy Hobart - The excellent taste on how the room, kitchen, bathroom were setup, everything had a high end test with personal style Nothing
- Ina Jane (10/5): Would stay again - Location was great, great host and everything was there that you needed to a pleasant stay. Nothing would stay there again
- Kim (10/5): Lovely Natone stay, plus a nearby aurora capture! - Location, charming cottage vibe, quiet location, comfy space, all facilities, lovely hosts.
- Margaret (9/5): Very comfortable stay @ Bellerive - It was a lovely comfortable quiet spot at Bellerive. Very nice walks nearby around the headland. Peter was a great host and we had lots of chat and good recommendations. Nothing
- Steve (10/5): We had a wonderful stay & learnt so much about the history of Hobart & the local area. - The property is a local historical home built in 1815 & has wonderful gardens. Peter is an amazing host with so much history to tell. The village is a short walk where there are plenty of dining options. There is a larger shopping complex only a short drive away. There is an old fort within walking distance as is Ninja Stadium. The home is at the top of a hill so a short steep hill could be an issue for those with mobility issues.
There is a ferry service to the city a short walk away but it has a limited timetable.
- Colleen (10/5): Thankyou Peter! Perfect little unit especially if you like history, antiques, and romantic walks along the waters edge - Spotlessly clean! This quaint little unit is part of a 210 year old home! The bedroom was just beautiful with a huge wooden 4 poster bed and exquisite matching antique furniture. Bedding was of the highest quality.
The kitchenette and bathroom were (what I guess to be) built in, on the original verandah. Coffee maker and copious coffee pods was a lovely surprise. Full sized stove and microwave, was great too!
Everything was clean and well maintained. The bathroom featured a bidet and toilet seat warmer😁😁 toiletries provided were very special. The little sunroom looked out onto a glass house fernery… so sweet and relaxing. Gorgeous walks along the bayside were only 2 minutes walk away and large shopping centre was 3 minutes drive. 😁😁😁100% happy
- Marisa (9/5): All was very good - Very cute
- Rodney (8/5): - Quaint and great location. A bit dusty with cobwebs. Vegetation in driveway needs trimming. A bit narrow getting the car in and out.
- Eugenie (9/5): I love staying there Peter is great it’s a lovely little cubby house private peaceful and always relaxing. - Just love it it’s my third stay Bed needs a comfy mattress topper
- Terry (10/5): Would recommend to anyone - It was exceptional in every way. Accommodation was close to eateries and the ferry service was an added bonus. Peter was a great host. Property has everything you would want
- Nadia (10/5): - The place was really a pearl in Airbnb. Decorated in vantage style, very exclusive and beautiful. At the same time it was very comfortable. What knocked us down was an antique bed with warming mattress! The nights were cold and this matrass felt like in heaven. Bathroom also was decorated vintage but there were Japanese worming toilet with remote control. I was about to write "nothing", but then remembered: slippers.
- Christopher (10/5): -
- Cath (8/5): - Peter was really friendly and helpful. Natone is a cosy space that feels like a home away from home. There are thoughtful touches throughout the unit, from the coffee pods to the warm toilet seat.
- Razia (10/5): - This place is right out of 19century reminded me of my grandfather's house built in British India!! Is conveniently located near public transportation (though we had a car and yes it has a parking place) restaurants and bars nearby, the kangaroo Bay is five minutes walk. The place is very spacious, a separate living room and spacious bathroom with a tub AND a shower. Great kitchen area. There's laundry available as well. The host is very kind and responsive. Don't hesitate to book this place A little privacy in living room would be appreciated.
- Tian (10/5): The room was incredibly beautiful and spotless, exactly the same as in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed, -
- John (10/5): A step back in time which I found wonderful - Charm and character of accommodation was superb Nil
- Dan (10/5): - Peter is very welcoming also provided great information.
The location is very closed to Ferry and eateries.
The room is sunny, warm, spacious with lots of character.

The flat was well furnished, kitchen was well equipped and every possible extra supplied for comfort and convenience. A large bedroom in the original part of the home featured a comfortable 4 post-a bed. A beautiful sun drenched sitting room with lounge and smart TV. All the details have been thought of by the owners of this beautiful property. Peter & April are the proud owners of this beautiful residence, and are only to happy to share their home of many many family generations.

- Tim (9/5): Superb - Lovely heritage character, quiet and comfortable, and a lovely location. We unfortunately didn't have sufficient time to fully appreciate the area. Would love to revisit some day.
- Steve (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): THE ULTIMATE DESIRE TO ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS - It's a great location 👌 for people to enjoy what Tasmania all about. Natone was very comfortable with a interesting and enjoyable experience. Peter the owner was a perfect host 👌. The problem we had was the stay was to short with so much to do, and little time. Natone is the perfect place for 2 people enjoy the holidays away from look at me people, this is what it's all about, where life matters 😀..Thank you Peter 😊 for this event.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Merrick (8/5): Very good - Peter was very accommodating and friendly.
Full kitchen with all cutlery, plates etc. Bathroom with bath shower and bidet. Good quiet location. No breakfast, thought it was a b&b. Otherwise all good.
- Marni (9/5): Quant, very good value, good location. What more could you ask for? - Very quant, nice tea and coffee and snacks. The bed was very comfortable with very nice linen. Nice room facilities ie separate loungeroom and kitchenette. Price was very reasonable, and hosts had very good communication and were friendly. Nothing.
- Annette (10/5): Comfortable apartment in great location - Lovely quiet small & comfortable heritage style apartment. The sunroom was comfortable for relaxing and the bedroom was large. It is walking distance to many restaurants and you can catch the ferry into the Hobart city in the morning & then back in the mid-afternoon or catch a bus easily. Easy to find and get into & has off street parking right outside the apartment. Free laundry facilities were next door. Peter was friendly and nice to chat with. You will hear the odd possum on the roof at night (not a bad thing but it might surprise you & you might hear him or her making a funny noise)!!
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Very hospital host in a quirky little place! - It was a real find. Beautifully presented as an addition to a very historical cottage that dates back to the mid 19th century in a very convenient location a couple of minutes walk to the harbour. Lots of places to eat & can highly recommend the Thai Lemon Grass restaurant. Can catch ferry into Hobart but have to be early as morning run finishes at 9am. Hire car company will have tougher car washing from ornamental grape. (Don’t park underneath!)
- Tim (9/5): Great short stay in Hobart - Great location. Beautiful old style accommodation. Everything was easy and Peter was friendly and helpful Nothing
- Subodh (10/5): Incredible. Good space. Friendly hosts. Fruit trees. Amazing stay. Historical place. -
- Aga (8/5): Quiet relaxing space - Location was fantastic. Just outside of Hobart (12mins), 3min walk to the harbour, 8 minutes walk to the beach. Wonderful little area, peaceful and quiet. Just what is needed after a day of exploring.

- Denise (8/5): Boutique Bellerive stay - Very clean, very well equipped. Great location. Very good instruction leaflets re location, shops, ferry - walking distance. Doors were tricky to open. Bed was very firm.
- Ingrid (9/5): Packed with all you need within a seaside village with lovely resteraunts & Marina - Near, clean & everything you need is there. Nil
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, well equipped kitchen and friendly host. Lovely little selection of books to read as well!
- Teresa (8/5): Lovely stay, great weather, convenient location a short walk to shops and beach. - Convenient location, sunny and private apartment. The amenities were good, perfect for a single or couple and reasonably priced in the peak season. The bed seemed to be fine, not too soft or firm, but I woke with a very sore back every morning. The limited ventilation was an issue, one of the glass doors proved impossible to open with the key provided, and the driveway was so overgrown it was a concern with our car.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Its historic
- Caley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gregory (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely old house with lots of character. Peter the host was very friendly making sure we were happy and if we needed anything, which we didnt. Nothing
- Suellen (8/5): Very good - Fully equipped kitchen with oil and salt and pepper and tea and coffee machine. Shampoo and conditioner and shower gel. Rustic but cute. Quiet street Nothing
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Peter was very friendly and helpful.
The place was unique and cosy.
We felt very comfortable and the location was perfect.
Great cafes and restaurants and the Marina were within walking distance.
I loved the warm toilet seat, ha ha 😂
Would recommend and stay again.
Thanks, Peter. Nothing

- Su (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host.
Peter went beyond a host's responsibilities to show us around.
We loved the quirkyness and historic features of the cottage.
The cottage was easy to access by walking and driving. Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Amazing property to stay and had great amenities. - Location of the property is great and less than 5 minute walk to the Bellerive Pier. A very short drive to Eastlands Shopping Mall and petrol station. Also onsite parking. Peter has been a great host, will provide assistance around the property, suggest local attractions, advice on how to get to places and best places for parking. Great amenities which was enjoyable to use. Amazing property to stay with great history to it and had a great welcoming vibe. Overall, I had a great time staying here. Nothing and couldn't find any fault.
- Lorraine (9/5): Plenty of old world charm, & extra touches of comfort. -
- Kirstin (9/5): Beautiful atmosphere and close to shops and cafes - Charming decor and everything provided Nil
- Sharon (8/5): Loved it, I would definitely stay here again - Loved its quirkiness, its location, and how cosy it was I felt the bed was not very comfortable and made a lot of noise even turning over!!

Cafés, restaurants, marina, beach at a short walkable distance. - Charming with beautiful antic funiture and spectacular fireplace mantle in the bedroom. Everything is there for a comfortable stay and was very clean. Cosy and quiet place with comfortable bed. Could not find a recycling bin
- Events (8/5): Very good - Great location.Close to the water and restaurants and transport to the Hobart city via ferry and bus
- Will (10/5): Exceptional - Peter and April were great hosts.
Amazing house to stay with so much history.
Very convenient and fun access to CBD using ferry 3 minutes walk away. Nothing
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Carla (9/5): An historic old home that is great value - Natone is within easy walking distance of the village Bellerive. Here there are a selection of restaurants to choose. Walking down by the river and the docks was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Natone is a wonderful old house with so much character. The bedroom has an elaborate four poster bed and has the most magnificent fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials, making it easy to self cater if you want.
The toilet has a heated seat which I thought indulgent but was actually very nice and it would be even better in cooler months. There is nothing that we didn’t enjoy or that we would like changed.
- Jacky (8/5): Old world charm - Bellerive is a charming suburb that is 10 mins drive to the city. Within short walking distance from the house, there is a nice harbour, a small beach, plus the lovely Salamenca Fresh (supermarket). The suburb is dotted with historic houses and landmarks. Eastlands shopping centre (the largest shopping centre in Hobart, is a few minutes away.
Natone is a historic building and the apartment is an extension attached to the main house. The bedroom of the apartment is the oldest part of the building and has a large fireplace, a four poster bed and chandelier from almost 200 years ago. It has a lot of old world charm.
The kitchen was well provisioned with quality cutlery and crockery. Nice toiletries were provided.
Peter cleans the apartment well. He is around daily if you need anything or has any questions.
The property has a huge backyard with lots of fruit trees. The 150 year old mulberry is massive and was fruiting profusely when I was there. It was delicious, and attracted lots of birds. The pear tree was also fruiting well and had a bandicoot as well as birds feeding on it. The kitchen, living room, and shower cubicle were very small. The living area gets quite cold at night and the heater had to be used even in summer.
The car was covered by mulberries and bird droppings when parked outside the apartment under the grapevine. Peter the owner ended up washing the car for me. Make sure you park just before the grapevine.
The driveway was very narrow and reversing out could be tricky.
- Paul (7/5): Great location for a short stay, just a ferry trip across the river to Hobart. - Great location and good size for a couple Nothing really
- Alireza (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (10/5): Natone is the most delightful place..wonderful home, location and host! - Wonderful base to for 'day wanders' around the south eastern aspect of Tasmania. Quiet neigbourhood with plenty of dining options (good spot for fish and chips by the beach near the Bellerive Cricket ground
- Carole (8/5): Very good -
- Shiran (10/5): Exceptional - Had everything we needed to make our trip comfortable. The location was great and the property was fantastic. The host Peter was wonderful and very helpful .
- Warwick (8/5): Warmly welcomed - Not Applicable None
- Mohammadreza (7/5): Good -
- Athena (8/5): Very good -
- Randi&grant (10/5): A little gemin - Location, facilities and host were excellent.
Would highly recommend. That we couldn't stay longer!
- Neil (7/5): Good base for looking around the area but would not spend a lot of time in the unit. - Good location. Handy for the city with some reasonable places to eat close by. Somewhat cramped with a 4 poster bed toilet with a heated seat.
- Kayleen (10/5): Fabulous stay - It was lovely. Spacious and comfortable. Modern facilities with old world charm. Fabulous location with restaurants very close by and major shopping centre only minutes away. Hobart also easily accessible by road or ferry. Nothing not to like.
- Judith (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (7/5): Nicely equipped and located at Bellerive - Natone is well located in Bellerive village near cafes, restaurants, the yacht club and water front.
The apartment is welcoming and well equipped for short stay with kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and living area.
Offstreet parking.
Everything was very clean
Japanese style loo with blue light at night and heated seat, bidet and other features…I did not try any of these.
Good supply of quality tea and coffee.
Close proximity to restaurants and venue I was attending training within.
Overall very good value for money. The first night it was quite cold, wet and windy. I could not get the heater/s in lounge area to a comfortable temperature level. Too hot or too cold no matter what I tried.
The bedroom was nice and charming for a couple but the bed was a bit firm for my bad back and neck. A personal thing though.
Drive way quite narrow and probably easier to park on street.
- Ping (8/5): A wonderful stay with good facilities all round our memorable stay - I like the hospitality of Peter and April. They are so friendly and informative about the area. I really appreciate that they went out of their way to give us a lift to the airport as a booked Uber taxi let us down early in the morning. 0 rating for Australian Uber which has no phone to call the driver when he cancelled our taxi in last minute with no available replacement and no feedback session in App for complaint. The room we stayed in is like a service apartment with an attached conservatory which is very cosy. Location is good and away from city centre with only a 15mins ferry ride or buses ride. Ferry and bus stop is only a few mins walk from us so it’s convenient to stroll. Local restaurants and supermarket are within walking distance. A bit of spiderwebs in a 200 years old house which is understandable and nostalgic and the 4 posters bed is brilliant. One slight annoying thing is a creaky floorboard by the front door as every time we stepped there the dresser cupboard vibrates a bit and makes a noise.
- Victor (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful old home furnished with period furnishings. Very good position only a short walk to the ferry. Peter & April are excellent hosts very willing to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Was nothing I did not like.
- Hnin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoffrey (9/5): Enjoyable and relaxing - Friendly informative hosts. Relaxed ambience. Access to laundry facilities. Comfortable relaxing environment. Great location with easy walking distance to some superb restaurants and ferry into city. Small shower.
- Julia (10/5): Great place to stay we will hopefully be able to stay here again next time in Tasmania - It was very homely and neat and clean and the owners were really nice. Location was great close to restaurants and a quite street
