• Grant (8/5): Value for money and quirky - Value for money. Older style hotel and a bit quirky. Reasonably comfortable beds, good size room. Good and well presented traditional swiss cold breakfast. A request for early check-in was agreed to in writing before arrival (checking normally starts at 5pm). We arrived at 4.30pm and was quickly and repeatedly told 5pm only. Although we were eventually checked in early.

• Andreas (8/5): Gutes Hotel im Zentrum von Sargans - Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, bahnhofsnahe (15min) und altstadtnahe (5 min). Hervorzuheben ist das persönlich zubereitete Frühstück.

• Peter (10/5): - A fabulous hotel run by a kind, caring family who are so welcoming and helpful.The rooms were clean, comfortable with space and hanging facilities. The bathroom was clean and well functioning. Sargans is also a beautiful place to visit, and the peeling if the bells is magical and mystical through the valleys. Leichtenstein is a short bus ride away and we'll worth travelling too. Nothing negative to say about this accommodation
• Sylvia (8/5): Good stay for hikers along the Via Alpina Route - The location close to the Swiss National Route 1: Via Alpina. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly. The restaurant was closed (too early in the season?) Had to look for another restaurant close by instead.

• Markus (6/5): Ok, für einen vergleichbaren Preis bekommt man in der Gegend auch andere Angebote - Personal war sehr nett und absolut bemüht! die Lage des Hotels an der Hauptstrasse gepaart mit der Hellhörigkeit des Gebäudes war nicht ideal für einen ruhigen Schlaf.

• Rodrigo (10/5): - Very friendly staff! The hotel is quiet and very clean. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. It is a 15-20 minutes walk from the train station. Quiet area despite some church bells however, I only heard them once when I was walking on the street. I wish I had more time to explore the surroundings.

• Thomas (9/5): - Liebe Frau die dort arbeitet und mit der ich am morgen gesprochen habe. Ort war ruhig. Ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuss vom Bahnhof Sargans entfernt. In der Nähe hat es ein Thailändisches Restaurant. Ich fand das normaln Kissen zu hoch zum schlafen, da habe ich dann drauf verzichtet. Aber das ist eigentlich lachhaft sich darüber zu beschweren.

• Jerome (8/5): Hôtel sympathique et confortable. - Bon accueil à l'Hôtel Franz Anton. Les chambres simples que nous avions réservé sont confortables et calmes. Le petit déjeuner est plus simple que dans certains hôtels mais on est au petits soins pour vous : le personnel vous ressert sans que vous n'ayez à réclamer !

• Maurice (10/5): - The views and staff were amazing, breakfast could've been a cooked breakfast for the price youre paying to stay there but it was a nice simple breakfast definitely recommend it Could've had breakfast cooked like fried eggs or bacon like a traditional breakfasts even though it may not be traditional in Switzerland

• Timothy (8/5): Quirky little hotel that worked out just fine. - Friendly hosts,, good value, easy walk to Sargans train station, peaceful neighborhood (except for church and city bells which tend to ring al night). Room used old style keys and unable to unlock еру door from inside of room without the key (ended up leaving key in door, but still felt uncomfortable that the inside door didn't have a latch or easy way to open without a key).

• MihaiG (6/5): OK for a short stay with relatively good value for money, but not great. - Location - the hotel is located on a relatively not so busy road and I could open the windows without breathing the polluted air. Also, is was 10min by foot from the bus stop Sargans Post. Passing through the old city was a very pleasant trip. I also liked the shower head and the water bottle offered in the room and 2nd coffee for the breakfast. The room looked basic, old, outdated. I stayed 4 nights and every evening coming back there was an unpleasant smell in the room. They had deodorants all over the halls and in the room, which is not a good sign. The room was very cold, I needed two covers to pass the first two nights before they started the heating. The breakfast was basic, with limited choice, similar in a way to the room. No hot water of coffee in the rooms, no air conditioning, very limited heating. TV screen was small, one of the lamps by the bead was not working. Overall not a cozy, comfortable feeling, nothing to make you want come back again. I will look for a different option next time, even if a bit more expensive.
• Samuel (6/5): For a night or 2 it’s fine, don’t expect much though! - - Location was good for me, not too far from Zurich airport, not much to do around the area and no shops nearby. Was good for my needs though as I needed to be in Sargans. - Weird hotel, was left unattended for the majority of the time, no one there to check in at any point. -My card was randomly charged for the payment during my stay, never took payment conventionally. - Staff only spoke German, so not good for tourists. - After reading breakfast reviews I didnt partake in breakfast - looked as described - poor. - No curtains in the room so was very light in the morning. - I put a do not disturb sign on my door and they still came in. - not a very warm hotel, felt like I was stared at whenever I was leaving or entering. - quite noisy in the evening, not very sound proofed. - I went to another hotel after 2 nights and used this one to store my bags.

• Suzanne (10/5): Immaculate, comfortable and great breakfast - The breakfasts were fabulous. All laid out meticulously and plenty too. Everything was immaculate and the beds were extremely comfortable with what looked like brand new bedding. Very friendly staff. The hotel is close to the main roads which was a slight issue with the windows open with being warm weather. Sorted with earplugs.

• lorena (5/5): No era lo que esperaba - Se agradece el parking gratuito en un país que cobra aparcamiento en todos los lugares. Bien ubicado en un pueblo interesante, cerca de otros lugares turísticos. Para nosotros fue una noche de tránsito. Lo mejor una chica que nos sirvió el desayuno que hablaba varios idiomas. Era encantadora. La habitación se hizo un poco pequeña, y estábamos con ola de calor y no hay AC como muchos sitios en Suiza. A pesar de tener la ventana abierta, se acumuló tanto calor del día que pasamos mala noche. Tampoco se nos ofreció un ventilador o algo similar. El desayuno era básico. Si bien en otros hoteles del país, el pan lo horneaban por la mañana y era "natural", aquí se notaba que era pan de molde comprado en supermercado. Lo mismo ocurría con el fiambre. Se puso contado, muy escaso y no era rico. En este caso , no hubo quesos suizos, sólo dos mini lonchas de queso normal. Los croissants los peores que tomé en todo el país, las mermeladas en mini envases... Si es un negocio pequeño y es tipo casa rural alpina, lo lógico sería poner un desayuno más natural y abundante. Por otro lado, me cobró 10 francos de más y no me di cuenta hasta el día siguiente, que se lo dije. Me contesta que su tarifa de verano es esa, 160 francos en lugar de 150. Evidentemente, yo no hago la reserva en enero para pagar más, ¿verdad? Lo comprende y me dice que no me puede devolver los francos a la tarjeta, que me lo da en efectivo. Yo le digo que no quiero efectivo. Entonces sugiere dármelo en euros, y me entrega un billete de 10 euros. El problema es que 10 euros no son 10 francos. El franco está potente. Así que le digo que así no, entonces que me de los francos. ¡Qué remedio! Iba mosqueada, hablando en alemán y ya sé que no le sentó bien, pero la que lo hizo mal fue ella. Puedo decir que fue el único hotel de mi estancia por Suiza que no me gustó, y estuve 15 días.
• Elmar (10/5): Ein Stop in mitten der Berge bei sympathischen Menschen - Wo soll man anfangen ? Vielleicht mit der ausserodentlich freundlichen und nahbaren Inhaberin? Ich kam bei einsetzendem Regen an und schnell wurde mir gezeigt, wo ich mein Zweirad in der Garage parken könne. Das Hotel verfügt über einen kleinen Aufzug, was mit dem Motorradkrempel schon sehr angenehm war. Obwohl alleine reisend, hatte ich ein seeehr großes Doppelzimmer mit einem eindrucksvoll gepflegtem Bad. Sauberkeit wird hier ganz groß geschrieben 👍🏻. Da es im Haus keine Restauration mehr gibt, ging ich zum Thai auf der anderen Strassenseite, den ich empfehlen kann. Einen Schnaps nach dem Essen gabs dann aber schon noch im Hotel, in sehr netter Gesellschaft. Das Frühstück war für mich ausreichend und der Kaffee besonders gut. Wenn ich das 'mal wüsste 🤔
