• Luke (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at this B&B; the only regret was a single night. If back in Naples would look no further! Close to check-in day there is a link provided in your booking which should be accessed. Better than a hotel front desk one is given a WhatsApp number with direct access to the director/owner. Giovanni was very responsive and sent a wealth of info to assist check-in which occurs at the lovely restaurant below; all part of the same organization. He took us to our room and explained everything kindly and patiently. The room itself was lovely, clean and comfortable. Had the best sleep on memory-foam mattress and pillow. Air conditioned with bar fridge and balcony. Towels set aside with disposable slippers felt spa like! Very nice bathroom with rain shower and toiletries. No need to look for a place to eat as we enjoyed the best supper in the restaurant below. The staff were both courteous and efficient. Nice lighting with ambient background music. Don't miss this opportunity! We did not venture far but felt safe in the neighborhood. Had a concern of getting a 5am taxi but Giovanni had provided us with the WhatsApp to a transfer who were fabulous. The driver was responsive and told us he would contact us 30 minutes before pickup and did so. Not too far from the airport and arrived in good time. As we left early arrangement had been made to leave us a breakfast sandwich most appreciated. It is evident that Giovanni are passionate with their service!

Kostnad för parkering är FRÅN 15 euro, beroende på bilens storlek. Parkering av vår lilla Toyota Yaris gick för 18 euro. Rummet var bra; fräscht och rent. God luftkonditionering. Lugnt och tyst. God frukost. Vänlig och hjälpsam personal, utom en ovänlig och arg städerska som försökte jaga oss ur rummet redan 10.20 ävenom check-out tiden var senast 11.30.

• Anonymous (2/5): Summary: + The host was available and met us upon arrival. – Unsafe location, multiple locks and codes to enter. – Room - - Disappointing Experience at Domus Vesuvio – Not Worth the Money I had been looking forward to a pleasant and romantic stay with my partner, and chose what was advertised as a luxury room – a Junior Suite at Domus Vesuvio. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations in any way, and we ended up changing hotels after just one night. Already upon arrival, we were met with an unexpected and uninviting process: we had to pass through several doors, locks, and codes just to access the apartment. This immediately gave a sense of insecurity and reflected a neighborhood that didn’t feel particularly safe. The “hotel” turned out to be an apartment complex with no reception, and we were greeted by the host in the bar next door. At first glance, the room looked okay, but it did not match the photos shown online. In the middle of the room stood a bathtub placed right in front of a large window – which could have been elegant, but there were no curtains or privacy screens. This made it nearly impossible to use the bathtub without being exposed to the street, and it also became a problem at night when a bright streetlamp shone directly into the room. Even worse, we discovered mold along the window frames by the bed and in the bathroom – a thick layer, which had even spread to the bathroom curtains. Since I’m pregnant, it quickly became clear that we could not stay – this was potentially hazardous to health. We decided to book a new hotel and left the property the next day. On top of that, we were kept awake for most of the night by loud music and a party in a neighboring apartment – despite house rules clearly stating that it should be quiet between 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM. When we informed the host that we had moved to another hotel and explained why, we requested a refund. The response we received was an offer for a different room, and they seemed unable to understand the seriousness of the situation.

It is close to the airport and central station, though this area of Napoli is not very nice. About a 30 - 40 min walk to the actuall nice areas, wich was ok for us. Can recommend, but beware that it is a bit different from a normal hotel.

There was no washing machine in the room, no coffee maker, kettle, slippers, or basic amenities that were promised. The listing also falsely claimed to be wheelchair accessible and to have a view - neither of which were remotely true. Instead, we were met with a moldy smell, zero fresh air, and a dark, claustrophobic space. The internal door was broken and the sheets felt grimy. But the worst part? The shower was infested with black mold. Not just discoloration - actual black mold spores, which the host tried to dismiss as "just aging." Judge for yourself in the photos. I was traveling alone with two small children, and the room was clearly not safe or suitable for any family, let alone one with young kids. We had to leave after just one night, and it would have been sooner if it hadn’t been so late and I wasn't traveling with children. This was meant to be a family room - it's not even fit for human occupation. Customer service was equally appalling. I’ve reached out for a refund, given that the property was clearly not as advertised, and have been completely ghosted and Booking.com have not helped at all. If you’re reading this and have already booked, cancel your reservation immediately and find alternate accommodation. This place is an absolute health hazard, and it’s shocking that it’s even listed. Booking.com should be ashamed for allowing this scam to exist on their platform. Zero stars. Do not stay here. If the property is reading this - give me a refund!

Do NOT recommend. - Only nice thing was the jacuzzi (which was dirty so I had to clean it first) and the fact that we were close to the trainstation which is convenient but at the same time the area around the station is not nice at all. Busy and dirty streets, sound of cars driving by and honking keeps you awake all night. This part of the city had nothing to offer and nothing to enjoy. The high raitings fooled me in to thinking that this place would be amazing. It was not, especially for the price we payed. Layer of dust on all the furniture. Stained bed sheets and towels. Kingsize bed was fine but the other bed that was in the room was way worse than a prison bed, kept on collapsing (it was a foldable bed) so I decided to just put the mattress on the floor but the mattress was extremely thin so it felt like you were sleeping on concrete, it was too uncomfortable. No washingmachine available in the room so we gave our clothes to the staff and had to wait TWO whole days for them to wash it. Internet did not work, I told the guy who works here about this problem and he said he would fix it but he never did. Mini fridge was just confusing, it was more like a freezer, drinks became solid frozen. The breakfast was one big joke. Cheap and underwhelming food items and also barely anything available (small table of food with no variety at all). No cheese, no salads/vegetables, no fruit, no meat, no nothing. Only some disgustingly sweet cake. And if you can’t eat gluten like us, than this place is your worst nightmare. They gave us a plate with one tiny stale croissant for two people to share and some cheap sugary tea cookies. Told the guy that works there about this and he promised us a nicer breakfast for the next day but the next day it was the exact same breakfast. Promises were made about many things but it was all lies. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it was a complete waste of money. Huge scam!

There is a restaurant downstairs (we had dinner there on our last night, the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly :) ), our room was on the second floor. We stayed at room “Ischia”, and it was perfect! The bed was comfortable and we had a little balcony too. Loved the place!

Communication after booking was a bit tricky. I messaged via the website with a question and was asked to use WhatsApp. I did this, however the message went unanswered. I asked to arrange transfer from the airport (twice), which is a service they claim to offer. No response. The day before our arrival, they confirmed that transfer can be arranged and gave me some contact details. Upon arrival at the airport, no transfer was there and the transfer contact did not seem to know what I was talking about when contacted. We were then told by the owner to just get a taxi. This was easy enough with Uber, however would be quite stressful for someone less tech-savvy or looking for a smooth holiday experience. Also the bin in the room hadn't been emptied after the previous occupants, not a big deal but a little off-putting to see someone's tampon packs.

If you have luggage, it will take several trips to get up to the room. The breakfast was horrific. The staff brought spilled cold coffee, no drinks until we asked, artificial cake from package was the only thing sitting at the table, no bowls for cereal. When we asked, they brought some pancakes in plastic and opened plastic bags with their teeth and unwashed hands, it was insane!

The apartments are on the sixth floor of an old building and are serviced by a small H3 person) elevator.As noted previously, Giovanni the host gave us a complimentary upgrade to this apartment after I advised him that I found the other (previous week) too small. The small apartment selection was my own fault and I was happy to pay for the upgrade but he insisted that it be at the same price! This larger apartment had everything needed. Again we had an excellent meal at the attached restaurant. The service was impeccable and the staff unbelievably helpful. We did not have breakfast but had the previous week and it was very good. Giovanni organised an early morning taxi to the airport which worked very well. If accommoda close to the central station is required I would not hesitate to recommend Domus Vesuvio but ask for the larger unit. Nothing

Giovanni, the host, was extremely helpful. The restaurant next door (with which Giovanni is involved) and where breakfast was served, was excellent. At his suggestion we had dinner there and we were totally taken aback by how good it was. When I told the host that the room was not as expected it was too late to change as his other apartments were full. However he upgraded my booking for the following week to a larger apartment at no extra cost! This apartment was spacious and had all amenities required. As we were only staying overnight I booked a room that was too small - my fault. Giovanni understood and rectified for our return trip

The room was very clean and even though we were for a short period of time, our room was freshened every day. The train station is near the place (around 5-7 minutes on foot). It was pretty quiet overall. Great experience! There were a little stains on the towels, however they smelled cleaned and washed each time.

• Francesca (7/5): Needs improvement - The B&B is close to Piazza Garibaldi for direct links to the rest of Naples and only a 20/25 minute walk to the old town. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening and the beds were comfy. The room was made up on a daily basis. The check-in process was awkward as it is in the Pizzeria next door, it was only because a local lady saw our suitcases and pointed us in the right direction. The room was sub-par clean, the shower was covered in limescale (this is from poor cleaning and not hard water) and the toilet brush was dirty. The mattress on the right hand side was also ripped which is unhygienic. There were no smoke detectors/fire alarms in the room of what we could see, no tea or coffee making facilities as advertised and the 'mini bar' was empty. The breakfast was poor and is served in the restaurant. The service was pretty non-existent, food did not get refilled if it was empty and the same with bowls/plates. We were told fresh cakes and a big breakfast every morning, but it was just sugar with no fresh fruit or savoury options. Save the money and go to a local pasticceria instead. The pictures are a bit misleading. Unfortunately I would not stay here again.

Coffee drower with a mess. Safe is there but closed and broken, cannot use. Phone is on a table but not connected anywhere so just for being. Bed is like a wok pane, matrace is broken. Bathroom smells, shower should be decalced. But worst was that cleaning service entering your room without knocking. You can be naked, lady will enter anyway. Also there were missing sweets from the bed table. We couldn't find them anymore after service visit and we are sure we had them before... Not a biggie but bad taste remains. Breakfast for 15e pp is too much, not much to choose.

• James (9/5): Last night hurrah before flying out of Naples. - we wanted a hotel close to the train station and the location is a 5-10min walk. very friendly staff and people willing to help. I liked the fact I didn't need a key to get into the room, rather a electronic keypad with a combination. The restaurant had a great atmosphere at night with a guy playing the piano. I would change the breakfast. I would get rid of all the cakes and switch them with croissants. As a foreigner, I want to experience world renowned European croissants, that is what Europe is known for. I'd add some fruit to breakfast as well. I was getting awesome tasting melons up and down the coast of Italy so I think the melons were in season when I visited Italy (Oct/Nov). yogurt, prosciutto, and hard-boiled eggs were fine for breakfast.

BY THE TIME WE DID GET IN WITH NO FACE TO FACE CONTACT WE HAD TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ACCOMODATION AROUND MIDNIGHT DUE TO THE DISGRACFUL STANDARDS. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN! WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE!

The mattress on the bed was old and torn and the bed sheet was not a fitted bedsheeet thus we could see the torn mattress. It can't cost that much to provide a decent mattress and proper bedlinen. Also I could see no fire alarm in the building.... it seems to be a shared property with private tenants. In Ireland fire alarms are mandatory in hotels and bed and breakfast facilities. That in my mind is a very big safely issue.. We felt very uncomfortable staying at the property in question.

It has this great vibes of ordinary local lives in the vibrant city of Naples, and the people in the neighbourhood are very friendly. The room is very artistic, clean and comfortable. Our host Giovanni is helpful. Breakfast was served by friendly staff. Overall, we have had a good stay, a great value for money, indeed. We asked Giovanni to provide kettle for guests like us who like to boil hot water to make a cup of tea in the evening.

The staff I spoke to were friendly. The room was a large double and it had an extra room between the main room and the bathroom with a double and single sleep sofa so the apartment was spacious. The room & particularly the bathroom were not well cleaned. The recessed shelf and several wall tiles in the shower were mouldy which made showering unpleasant. There was hair in the sink plug. Even the cord for the hairdryer had dirt on it. It was odd as there was a coffee machine in the room but no mugs/ cups or capsules to use in the machine. Overall the room and bathroom just needs a really good clean. The room description said the large double came with items including dressing gown, bath and mini bar. There was a shower but no bath, no dressing gown and there was a mini fridge which contained a refillable glass bottle of water so not what I would call a mini bar. Breakfast was slightly strange too. It was served in the restaurant under the apartment where you check-in. We were not offered any hot drinks (tea or coffee). There were yogurt pots but no spoons to eat them with. There were two types of breakfast cereals but no bowls or milk to eat them with.

• Yasen (3/5): Uncomfortable - Only the location The first of all , there is no sign with the name of the apartment on the street you have to walk and search although the gps shows you that you are on the right street. Secondly the room is one of the smallest room I have ever stayed. The pictures in booking confuse what exactly looks the room. For one person the room is suitable for one night stay . For couples I can’t recommend more then two nights. For family can’t recommend the apartment at all. The apartment is so small that the bed spans the entire apartment also we was with little kid . When you add child’s bed the walk is not possible. You have to wait over the bed the other person leave the bathroom. Talk about the apartment on six floor. There is no wardrobe in the apartment. Yo keep the clothes in the bags piled on top of each other. My stay at as five nights. Every day they came to make my bed ( not sure why) but they didn’t trow out the garbage that ai kept in an incline bag and they didn’t run a vacuum cleaner. Can’t understand why every comment mentions the host . We never met him ! Except the messages in What’s Up! We only met the waitress from the restaurant who seated us. The situation with the breakfast also is strange . Time for breakfast 8.3-10 . If you want earlier you have to write messages in What’s Up. They’re giving to you bread with ham packed. I stayed in the room because I had paid not a small amount for me 750 euros. For sure there was no way to give my money back . On the second day I complained to booking for the breakfast because my stay was with breakfast included . First days also in all of my stay I didn’t see the restaurant open where the breakfast supposed to be . After this complain the host I think became mad and two days he didn’t stop writing to me messages in what’s up. I recommend the breakfast outside in cafeteria with fresh croissants and nice Italian coffee. I am not sure how is possible this place to have such high ratings in booking!
• Bianca (10/5): Exceptional - It is close to the metro station and the railway station so it’s easy to move around. Nice and clean bathroom, comfortable bed. It’s on 6th floor but it has an elevator. I stayed for two nights and it was a good experience. Napoli is a beautiful city.
