• David (10/5): Had a relaxing and peaceful night at this beautiful B&B. Highly recommend. - In a fairly quiet neighborhood but still close to town. There wasn’t a complaint to be had. Brenda and George were fantastic hosts.
• Nadine (10/5): - We loved our stay at Willow House! Brenda and George were extremely welcoming and kind. They provided great suggestions for walking and restaurants. We loved the atmosphere and the breakfast was wonderful. We would happily stay here again! Only (tiny) “compliant” was that the pillows were a little bit hard, but that is to be expected. Everyone has different pillow preferences.

We had to leave the inn much earlier than their scheduled breakfast time, but they left us yogurt with fruit and muffins on the table to our delight. They also helped us to modify our trip to Newfoundland so that we can travel safely to the land of moose. We were grateful for their advice.

• Robert (10/5): wonderful, historic house with attentive hosts - A wonderful, historic house with attentive management. History and modern standards come together here: we sleep very well, everything you could want for a night's stay is provided, the bathroom is very good, as are the beds. The hosts make sure you get your hot coffee in the evening. And in the morning, they conjure up an excellent breakfast, which we can enjoy in the salon with other guests, with whom you can strike up a casual conversation in this wonderful atmosphere. Unfortunately, the immediate surroundings are not entirely quiet. Due to the one-way street system, cars drive past below and above the house, “practically outside your room.” This is not disturbing if you have the windows closed, you just need to be aware of it. It's also great that there is plenty of free parking and you are only a few meters from the sea.

• Peter (8/5): We can easily recommend the Willow House. - I liked the vintage furnishing, the attention to detail and the outdoor seating around a fire pit (even though we didn’t use them). The breakfast in the dining room was excellent. It was great being close to the walkway and restaurants. Although it was fine for us, the smallness of the bathroom could be a significant challenge for people with mobility issues or who are larger. Also our room was pretty close to the road and it’s noise.

• Jana (10/5): Wundervolles B&B mit freundlichen Gastgebern - Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt bei Brenda und George. Die Unterkunft liegt im Zentrum von Pictou, nur wenige Gehminuten von den Geschäften und Restaurants entfernt. Man kann direkt an der Unterkunft auf einem privaten Parkplatz parken. Unser Zimmer war hübsch eingerichtet, sehr sauber und hatte alles, was man benötigt. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich lecker und alles ganz frisch zubereitet. Es gab sogar frisch gebackene Blaubeer-Scones. Brenda und George waren sehr freundliche Gastgeber!

The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side, but the owners have done a nice job fitting everything in. A small point, and not the fault of the owners- our room was on the street side, so it was a bit noisy even in the small town of Pictou. As we did our booking via Booking.com, that info wasn’t available on the website. The only reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10.

We arrived quite late ca. 8pm and Brenda rang round to find us an eating option at the nearby Waterview Restaurant which stayed open beyond its normal closing time. Nothing - would have liked to stay longer but had already booked our next destination.
• Christiane (10/5): Sehr schönes B&B auf dem Weg nach PEI - Ein ganz tolles B&B. George und Brenda sind super Gastgeber. Hier hatten wir das beste Frühstück auf unserer Reise. Das B&B liegt sehr günstig, wenn man zur Fähre nach PEI fahren will. Parkplätze sind direkt am Haus.

• PatParrini84 (10/5): Delightfully charming B&B - The decor of the entire B&B is exquisite and the room is cozily and charmefully furnished with great attention to details. Bed was huge and one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in (icing on the cake bed linen had a lovely flowery pattern and it smelt awesome). Hosts are great: super friendly and super helpful. They really make you feel welcome. Breakfast was truly delicious, the granola in particular. Bathroom maybe a tad small, but honestly just a very minor point in what was a fantastic experience.

Dieses Haus ist so wunderschön, gepflegt und sauber. Sogar die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher haben so herrlich geduftet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich sofort wohl 😍Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet 😋 Ich kann dieses B&B nur jedem empfehlen

• Gabriele (9/5): Charmantes Haus mit charmanten Gastgebern - Sehr familiär. Top Frühstück, serviert (kein help your self) und liebevoll zubereitet. Brenda hat alle Gäste dort miteinander bekannt gemacht. Gastfreundschaft liegt ihnen sehr am Herzen. Das Haus ist verwinkelt, liebevoll dekoriert...hat einfach Charme! Die späte Eincheckzeit (16.00 Uhr) war ein wenig mühsam für uns. Die frühe Auscheckzeit (10.00 Uhr) hat uns nicht gestört, da wir sowieso auf die Fähre mussten. Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig. Wenn Wasser läuft ist das ganze Hause wach.
