• Stephen S (9/5): A Wonderful Stay - Most things, the breakfast was so good and like an event. The laundry was excellent (cleaned, ironed and felt like brand new). The room was very comfortable. The communication from the hotel was excellent and allowed us to check-in late. Tum (pronounced Tomb) was so amazing too. One day we didn't have the room cleaned. The guest house is about half a mile from the nearest sky train station and can be an issue when the weather is hot. They were however minor flaws in what was a very good stay.

Our room was on top floor (3rd) and lift is not available. We were ok with it - but good to know for others.

From the moment we stepped in we were greeted with kindness, compassion, and hospitality, it immediately felt like our home away from home! From the vibes of the house to the wonderful staff and the extraordinary breakfasts that Kanta's wonderful mother graced us with every morning, always beng tasty and nutritious, we could not have asked for a better stay! We would whole heartedly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Bangkok, the location was superb, the rooms were quality, and the people were the best part! We hope we are fortunate enough to be able to stay here again soon, and experience it all over again, we miss everyone already!

• Oliver (9/5): Wundervolle Vintage-Unterkunft mit herzlichen Gastgebern für Individualisten. - Etwas Abseits der Sukhumvit-Hauptverkehrsader, aber dennoch zentral genug. BTS-Haltestelle und die großen EM Malls sind fußläufig erreichbar. Insgesamt nicht zu vergleichen mit einem "klassischen" Hotel, hier handelt es sich um ein typisches Stadthaus in Bangkok. Das Interior ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit wundervollen Holzböden und gemütlichem Mobiliar im Vintage-Style. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, die Badezimmer eher einfach, aber alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und das Frühstück wird liebevoll zubereitet. Sicher ein Haus für Individualisten, denen ein besonderes Ambiente wichtiger ist als die durchgestylten 0815-Hotels. Der Zugang zum Haus ist etwas umständlich, man benötigt einen Schlüssel für das Schloss am großen Eingangstor, für das Haus selbst und das Zimmer. Klar, es ist halt ein Stadthaus und kein Hotel mit 24-Stunden-Rezeption und Zimmerkarte. Insofern gehört dieser Nachteil einfach zum Style des Hauses.

Nothing that the owners can change, because they do everything possible to make your stay pleasant, but for us the location was a little bit too far from the historical points of interest. Plus unfortunately we could not use the terrace - which was actually the reason why we booked this room - as it was scorching hot (facing south + the outside unit of an airco blew hot air on our terrace).

While not explicitly unsafe, this can create an uncomfortable experience for guests walking in the area. Communication was problematic throughout the entire stay. An overwhelming stream of pre-arrival messages via Booking.com lacked proper follow-up, while the absence of direct interaction with management, the owner's absence during check-in, and the disappointing breakfast package (merely a cheese sandwich and some fruit for early departures) contributed to an impersonal experience

The attention to detail in everything at the house is impressive and one sees more variety everyday. The sense of design and aesthetics goes across the look of house, the feel of the room, the quality of food and the overall vibe. It is a personal project of the hosts and it shows!. Must stay here to discover a one of kind of homestay. Location is great too - silently tucked inside a soi but yet not far from main road. Most rooms are upstairs with staircase access. It would be helpful to flag this info off before the booking and at the time of booking. It helps to make choices on kind of luggage, or mobility issues. However, it’s a small thing that does not impact the great experience.
• Mr (9/5): Just like coming home - A hidden homely gem in central BKK - Aster 9 House is like a Bed and Breakfast place. Its very charming. You get served your own breakfast downstairs in the dining area. The staff are very hospitable trying to make you feel warmly welcome. The room is a private room with its own bathroom and I had my own balcony. Its not so much that I didnt like it but if you are arriving by taxi, its difficult to find (particularly at night) where the street is not well lit. The signage is small and visable during the day but if you were to arrive in the evening - its would be a little difficult to find. Instructions of how to access the property. When I arrive during the daylight hours, there was someone there to meet and greet me. This place is great if you can book it. Its often booked out so if you can get the chance to stay - take advantage of the opportunity

• Russell (10/5): Aster 9 is highly recommended - a small family run hotel with large, well provisioned quiet rooms. - Aster 9 is a small hotel excellently operated by a mother & son team, plus an attentive housekeeper. Kanta in particular was a great help to me bridge the language divide, suggesting great places to readily visit during my stay. The rooms are large and impeccably clean, and the hotel misses the noise from the nearby tourist strip. Nothing.

Location felt safe and close to many cute restaurants, bakeries, and bars. The EmQuartier mall complex is within walking distance with a gazillion food options (one of the biggest food halls I’ve ever been to) and the BTS public transit stop is very close. Owners and staff were all very nice and pleasant and even let us check out late. Very communicative and helpful. We loved our stay! The beds were a bit too firm for my taste but nothing a mattress topped couldn’t fix.

• Juho (10/5): Easy easy a 10 out of 10 - We would have given 100 out of 10 if we could. The owners and staff were very kind during our stay and we couldn't have asked for a nicer accommodation. The Thai breakfast was delicious each morning and we could even make requests for the next mornings meal that they would prepare. Rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and the room had everything to make our stay comfortable. We got the impression that the owners truly enjoy hosting guests. AC could be more modern to make less sound during night, but this is normal in Thailand.
• Bovbjerg (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was incredible The towels were amazingly soft and fragrant The view from the balcony was also extremely good The staff were helpful and kind. The water-heater in the bathroom was a bit difficult to adjust.

Beautiful house, large and stylish rooms, Kanta and her colleague were very helpful and their breakfast is delicious (I tried the Thai breakfast), very comfortable bed. Nothing, perhaps just more clarity of the instructions to access the room after the usual check-in hours.
• Barris (9/5): Very enjoyable stay in Bangkok with great service ! - I had such a lovely stay! The room and in-suite bathroom were very spacious and comfortable and always very clean. The balcony was also very large and enjoyable! The location was very convenient. Furthermore, the most enjoyable part was the immaculate service! Kanta, the owner, was very easy to get in contact with if you had any questions or wanted any recommendations on the city! Toom, the accommodation manager who came in every morning to make me a delicious Thai breakfast was delightful! Not only was the breakfast always delicious and copious but she would also give me recommendations on the city which turned out to be great! Overall, I highly recommend Aster 9 House. The only down part is that the mattress was a little hard.

The lady staff can't speak English but she is so humble and kind. location is bad.... there's lots of dodgy massage shops and cockroaches on the way. it's quite far from tube station(subway). Also very early morning, weird birds chirp(literally scream...) loudly.. We can't lazy haha...
