• richard (8/5): Happy to recommend it, nice people - Good location and nice people, well appointed Shower could do with rubber mat in the bottom as it was very slippery. Went out onto veranda to have breakfast but seats and covers were soaking so had to come back inside to eat it. Hadn’t been raining so either sea spray or dew. White bread for breakfast…do people still eat that stuff?

• Henk (8/5): Clean and comfortable stay but doing the dishes is near impossible! - Location, clean, comfortable. Everything available to do the dishes but the bathroom basin where the tap was low you can’t get the kettle filled underneath the tap. Very awkward to clean the dishes this way! No airconditioning or fan, would be very hot in summer.

• Way2Groovy (10/5): Wonderful experience in Bicheno - We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it. The facilities were wonderful—comfortable, private, and thoughtfully arranged to make for a relaxing visit. The location is excellent on the east coast, close to the Blowhole and many other area attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring the region. It was also incredibly quiet, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The host was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. One of the highlights was the garden, which is absolutely beautiful and such a peaceful place to spend time. Overall, a fantastic place to stay! One more note, host was very patient and fair when I had to make a change to reservation based on MY error! I appreciated that! That we had to leave!

• MikeS (10/5): Superb Stay! - Everything was superb. Perfect location, Own entrance, parking, king size comfortable bed, good shower, nice towels, seating inside and out. Quiet at night. Breakfast included, tea/ coffee/ water supplied. Fridge, microwave, toaster, bottle opener, cutlery. 200 meters from Blowhole. Absolute perfection. Would have loved to stay another night to savour the atmosphere. THANKS Caroline. You have achieved the impossible!

On an extremely windy night, we felt safe and sound. Walking distance to the beach and all facilities in the town. Will always be our first choice if ever we return to Bicheno. Nothing!
• Albert Theeßen (8/5): - Ein schönes Studio auf dem Grundstück der Betreiber, die sehr nettes waren. Das Studio ist wirklich gut eingerichtet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist perfekt, man kann zum Strand laufen, um sich die rot gefärbten Felsen und das "Blowhole" anzuschauen. Zum Zentrum von Bicheno ist es nicht weit. Ebenso befindet sich der Treffpunkt für die Bicheno Penguin Tours dort im Zentrum. Die Unterkunft ist zu empfehlen. A lovely studio on the property of the owners, who were very nice. The studio is really well furnished, we felt very comfortable. The location is perfect, you can walk to the beach to see the red-coloured rocks and the blowhole. It is not far to the centre of Bicheno. The meeting point for the Bicheno Penguin Tours is also located there in the centre. The accommodation is recommended. Zum Abwaschen des Frühstücksgeschirr fehlt etwas der Platz. There isn't quite enough space to wash the breakfast dishes.
• Dale (9/5): - Cozy No sign that we were at the right place. Had to park on the street. No cooking facilities but it was as having a kitchenette. That usually means a cook top or electric frying pan.

• Klaus Kemmerich (7/5): Ruhige Nacht in beengten Studio (Hütte) nahe zur Küste und Blow Hole - Die Lage (nur 100 Meter zur Küste und zum Blow Hole) war schön. Aus die Aussicht zum Meer und der Garten um das Apartment waren schön, mit einer Sitzgelegenheit auf einer kleinen Terrasse. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und wir haben gut und ruhig geschlafen. Die Dusche war gut und das WLAN völlig ok. Die Hütte im Garten ist ziemlich klein, vielleicht nur so 20 qm davon 3 qm Dusche/WC mit kleinem Waschbecken. Um das Bett herum hat man nach 3 Seiten nur etwas mehr als 1 m Platz und dort stehen noch ein kleiner Kühlschrank, 1 Tisch mit ausklappbaren Seitenteilen, 2 Stühle und zwei kleine Sessel. Es ist also ziemlich beengt. Als einzige Wasserquelle für den täglichen Bedarf dient das kleine Waschbecken, es gibt praktisch keine Ablageflächen, d.h. Essen vorbereiten oder Abwasch ist eine Herausforderung! Für längere Aufenthalte nicht zu empfehlen.

• Maca (10/5): Excelente y cute accommodation!! - Sumamente equipado, fue un gran regalo encontrar algo así con un montón de detalles que te hacen sentir un poco mas humano luego de haber viajado tanto! Super limpio, la cama muy comoda! Las almohadas excelentes, una de las mejores noches que dormimos. El desayuno muy completo y la vista fabulosa. Nos sentimos muy cómodos y nos trataron muy bien! Lo super recomiendo!! Nada que decir
• Maria Jose (8/5): - La ubicación es muy buena, al lado del bufadero de Bicheno. Todo estaba muy limpio. Desayuno muy básico. Habitación un poco pequeña. No hubo contacto con los dueños. Hay que dejar toda la vajilla utilizada limpia, pero no hay fregadero y el lavabo es muy pequeño para hacerlo con comodidad.

This showed that the host cared about guests' comfort. The bathroom vanity area was quite small without room for our own items.

• Andreas (7/5): Nice Cottage at excellent location worth breakfast - It is a really nice Cottages, beautiful view to the ocean, directly at the Blow hole and to the penguins. Anything you need is there. But the breakfast is Not worth mentioning. Bring your own or have it outside.

Accessibility may need to be considered as there are steps and a slope to get into property although for most the private access gate should easily be negotiated.

• Steve (10/5): Exceptional - We arrived early but were happy that the room was ready. The property was a small but adequate self contained unit on the owners property. It had its own access with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Whilst the only cooking facilities were toaster and microwave this was all you needed. The Bicheno blowhole was at the end of the street. All in all we had a most enjoyable stay.

• Hue (9/5): Host was very friendly. Overall happy with the stay. - Room had a good size for 2 people. Stayed there for one night. We had everything we needed in this house. It was quiet during the night. Host provided a small basic breakfast. Convenient to visit Freycinet Island (30min drive). Shops and good restaurants nearby. It was inconvenient to do the dishes since the sink is small.

• Tania (8/5): Comfortable room right next to the blowhole - Lovely room right next to the Bicheno blowhole. Very comfortable bed, warm shower with products available, and continental breakfast provided. The room was cosy warm with the heater and very quiet. We really enjoyed our dinner at Le Coq in Bicheno, and had a wonderful day in Freycinet park. It is good to know there is no kitchen sink to do any dishes, which wasn’t a problem for our 2 night stay but could be for longer stays.
