Guest Reviews
- Laura (10/5): - Beautiful home. Delicious breakfast. It was great to talk with Cora and learn about Costa Rica.
- Gillian (9/5): Pleasant stay in Cora’s charming house. - I Attractive rural property with nice plantings.. Difficult to locate
- Douglas (8/5): Beautiful surroundings and accommodations are sufficient. - Cora is a very pleasant host. She went out of her way to make us comfortable. The property is serene and relaxing.
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional - Cora is the best!
- Fox (10/5): It was an excellent stay Ms Cora was great - Every thing was great
- Yilin (10/5): Amazing stay with local pura vida - great space great people great food - Amazing local food Cora cooked us. She brought us to a local salsa social dancing space after knowing I’m into Latin dances. She has a lovely cat too. Her friends and family are amazing people to get to know too. Pretty welcoming and chill vibe - no wonder that’s the blue zone among the world. Really the highlight of our trip. Missing Costa Rica already and Cora’s place - would definitely visit back one day Nothing
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful host. A little pricey. Bathrooms didn't have soap or shampoo.
- Jared (10/5): An authentic Costa Rican home. - The host kindly made us an amazing authentic Costa Rican breakfast and bravely held engaging conversations with us even though we didn't speak Spanish fluently. She showed us her farm and explained Costa Rican culture to us. It was our first night and morning in Costa Rica and it felt more authentic than any where else that we stayed. I forgot that I had to pay in person. A reminder email would be nice, since I booked the place several months in advance.
- David (8/5): Very good - The breakfast was outstanding. Eggs cooked to order, along with a protein and a variety of fresh fruit. I'm not a coffee drinker so I had hot tea with local honey. Juice and yogurt was also very good.
- Melville (10/5): This one's a quiet jewel! - We've been to Costa Rica many times; this time we needed a place to rest on the way to Guanacaste coast. What good fortune to have found not only Casa Cora, very conveniently located on an immaculate, small farm, but also the town of Carmona, which is a modest little jewel with good food options. Our hostesses were warm and full of information about the local area. The property itself includes a house which is one of the most charming we've ever been in. And breakfast was absolutely delicious!
- Grant (8/5): Our stay was a wonderful opportunity to meet a very interesting woman and learn about her history - Traditional breakfast
- Rytis (10/5): A gem to return to - Hospitality is extraordinary. Host is happy to help with everything and accomodate.
Food is wonderful.
Rooms and house is cozy. Feels like a summerhouse of your own where you wouldnlove to come back again Nothing to complain about
- Carmen (9/5): Anytime again! 😍 - Very nice host family - superb breakfast 🍳. We really loved it 😍
BTW: For dinner we can recommend the restaurant cadiz which is nerby (25 by walk / 5 mins drive) Make sure you bring cash with you
- Michal (9/5): A delightful stay in an idyllic place - * Cora’s hospitality, storytelling, and generosity
* incredible breakfast with high quality local ingredients
* super safe and convenient location (on the way from Arenal to Santa Teresa)
* tour of the amazing garden * no hot water in the shower
* dust coming into the shower and bedroom through unsealed windows
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant - Cora is a lovely lady and her house is beautiful! The AC in our room was noisy which made it hard to sleep. The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere from touristic perspective
- Ingibjorg (10/5): A perfect homestay! - This is the best example of a homestay! Cora opened her home for us, two tired parents with young children - and after travelling Costa Rica for a month, she took such good care of us and stepped in as grandmother for a moment. Her granddaughters also were so sweet and played with our sons. Cora makes the best breakfast we have ever had (!) but also made delicious dinner one night and went with us to the beach one day. The house is beautiful and the garden as well. Highly recommended! This is a little bit on the expensive side - but totally worth it.
- Cristian (10/5): Exceptional - Huge property with lots of space and a cute bar. The food was amazing. Nothing
- Kyra (10/5): Cora’s property was comfortable, safe, and very beautiful. - This was our first night in Costa Rica. We were traveling with our young son and felt very comfortable, safe and welcomed by Cora and her family. The house and property was very beautiful. She gave us a tour of all of her fruit trees and coffee farm which was very interesting. She also had great restaurant recommendations and introduced us to a typical Costa Rican Style Breakfast. none
- Caterina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (10/5): Fantastic hospitality and lovely house and farm - Great food, lovely farm with views Great food, lovely farm with views
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional - The room and breakfast were excellent!
