- Emma (10/5): -
- GEOFFREY (1/5): Very disappointing - We were never told and not on the Booking site that the owners dogs lived inside the accomodation. As soon as we walked in all you could smell was dog. The owner was attempting to obviously spray scent to cover the dog smell. As an asthmatic we could not stay so we went elsewhere. Also on arrival we were told another couple had taken our booked room so we were told “I will put you in here” . Sorry but this is very unprofessional and Booking should take some responsibility for the dogs living in the accomodation as we would never have booked if we new dogs were living in the house. Nothing.
- Catherine (10/5): -

You start with a warm welcome and end saying farewell to a friend.
Such a lovely kind lady.. genuinely loves her guests and show such a interest in them.
And in-between you get the most wonderful of home cooked breakfasts.

- Jane (9/5): Very comfortable two night stay - The host, Elaine was friendly and informative and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed long chats over breakfast. She was very knowledgeable about the local area.
- Jonnathan (10/5): It was great. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. - The host was friendly and helpful with anything I needed in Bathurst. N/A
- Abhijit (1/5): Avoid- does not even check booking confirmation or ID - N/A When I reached there after my son's game at around 4 pm, the lady owner said she provided my room to someone else. When I asked did she ask about the booking confirmation number or checked the other person's ID, she said she believed them as they said. She then said she needs to check if she does have any other accommodation. After a while she said can give me a room which was not what I booked for me and my son. It did not have any study desk nor does the bed is what I booked ( I booked queen , the bed was tiny double). The room had only one window and no balcony what we booked. Most importantly I booked a room with ensuite bathroom. She offered me a bathroom which is shared with others including her.
It looks like she overbooked her accommodation for maximum profit and offered whatever room she can.
I actually left and booked another accommodation in less than an hour as it was not the room I booked. While leaving I thanked her and asked her to return money which she said I need to talk to booking.com and she will pay to booking.com. However till date she did not pay back the money.
I strongly recommend avoiding it.
- Cheryl (10/5): Fabulous! Totally enjoyable. - Everything was fabulous- country garden setting, huge room, breakfast etc. etc. Elaine is devine! Felt like we had known her for years - she couldn’t do enough for you (even cooking a delicious breakfast when we had slept in late!)
I hope we have the opportunity to go back to Bathurst - Hawk’s Bed & Breakfast will certainly be our accomodation choice. Thank you Elaine! Nothing at all.
- Kerry (10/5): Comfortable bed, gorgeous home with a delicious home style cooked breakfast thrown in! - Cooked breakfast both mornings was fantastic! Lots of variety and by far the best I've ever had at a BnB. Very peaceful spot. My room was spacious with a lovely view of the manicured gardens. Our Hostess was friendly and great to chat to on the verandah or over breakfast. A really relaxing spot with all the creature comforts for a peaceful break. The two resident fluffy dogs are very cute! Not sure if there was WiFi but it would be an added bonus if there was. It wasn't a huge problem as I was able to use the hot spot on my phone, but It's probably a standard thing people expect these days. It didn't affect my enjoyment of the stay and peaceful atmosphere.

- Marie (9/5): Wonderful host and although breakfast was included, my day started early so did not get to enjoy - It was good to arrive in daylight to be aware of my surroundings. Although only 15 minutes drive to centre, the return journey at night was a bit daunting.

- Mark (10/5): Cannot recommend Elaine and her beautiful home highly enough. We look forward to staying there again - Beautiful house and gardens, very well maintained. Amazing, welcoming atmosphere. Elaine was a perfect host. We really cannot find fault. An added bonus were Tanner and Teddy, her two gorgeous, friendly little dogs! The room was lovely, wood burner that warmed the whole house. For the area and quality of the house and gardens it was VERY reasonably priced. Thank you Elaine, it was a genuine pleasure meeting you. Nothing, everything was perfect.

This is a beautiful B&B just outside Bathurst run by a lovely woman who was so friendly, welcoming and personable, I think its the first time we have ever hugged a hotel/B&B owner when we left. It was a large family home with all the family home features and atmosphere, immaculately clean and equipped also with a beautiful garden. We don't sleep well travelling but we did here and waking up to a wonderful breakfast as well. We will be writing to Elaine to see if she will adopt us. We could have stayed forever

- Julie (6/5): Nice hostess. Stay not as good as others on this trip - Hostess was chatty and welcoming. Lovely home cooked breakfast. Great setting about 10 minutes drive out of Bathurst. Beautiful gardens for a wander. We arrived on a 33 degree day. There was a fan in room but no air conditioning in the room.
Screens on the French doors to the balcony were broken and there were insects in the room at night because the hostess insisted that they needed to be left open to cool the room effectively.
No toiletries are provided and the soap in the ensuite basin was old, dry & cracked.
No TV or fridge in room
