• Arun (7/5): - Access to the lake. There are kayaks you can use for free. We got free upgrade to a bigger room. The private road to the property is long and is in really bad condition, all broken and huge potholes. If you have a rental car, you have to be very careful. The breakfast is not upto standards. Wouldn't fill an adult. 2 eggs scrambled, one arepa/toast, tiny bowl of fruits, juice and coffee.

Van het begin tot het eind persoonlijke aandacht gekregen van Guillermo en zijn vrouw, ze zijn zeer gastvrij en alles wordt tot in de puntjes voor je geregeld. Het inbegrepen ontbijt was ook heel lekker. -

Toplocatie vlakbij El Penon en Guatape. Het ontbijt was verrukkelijk. Genoten van de jacuzzi! Wij waren met een huurauto en vonden de weg naar de accommodatie best wel pittig, al wende het wel snel.
• Kathy (10/5): If you are looking for a place of beauty and hospitality, Serendipity is the best! - Serendipity feels like a home because the host is so welcoming, the bed so comfy, and the landscaping full of beauty. Situated in a quiet cove on the lake, it’s a wonderful location to relax in the area. It’s also easy to get a ride into Guatape or to climb the rock. Breakfast is included, homemade and delicious! Dine with a view of the lake and the rock as a bonus. There is nothing to dislike - the place is perfection.

• Spencer (10/5): Beautiful lakeside property with nice amenities and friendly hosts. - Our host was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and we enjoyed staying in his beautiful home. Breakfast was excellent, and the property was a great place to stay and enjoy the Guatapé area. Directions for arriving to the property could have been a little more clear. It's down a steep and bumpy road, make sure to load your directions before departing.

• Gena (10/5): Highly recommended restful stay in the Guatapé area - Their special eggs and arepas with cheese were delicious! They also had fresh fruit salad with grated limon that everyone devoured. The location feels remote and secluded. We all felt well rested after our 2 night stay. One of our rooms had trouble with hot water (the room closest to the water). We didn’t bother the host with a resolution since we had another room rented that had no issues. The first night in town, we had a bit of trouble finding a Tuk Tuk driver to take us back to the property, but the second day we had no problem!

• Evaristo (10/5): Imperdible - Es excelente la amabilidad de Guillermo y su familia, atento a la llegada de los huéspedes y dispuesto a dar recomendaciones para los recorridos en la zona. El hospedaje está muy cerca de la piedra del Peñol. Las instalaciones son cómodas y tiene acceso al lago con vistas imperdibles y en el cual puedes nadar o usar kayak. El desayuno es muy completo.
• Ana Isabel (8/5): Ubicación magnífica - Ubicado en un sitio magnífico, al lado del agua, con vistas al Peñol. El dueño fue muy amable, nos dio buenas recomendaciones para nuestro viaje. Vistas fantásticas desde la habitación. Buen desayuno Parking en la puerta (aunque fuera del alojamiento) Zona muy tranquila. A la habitación le faltan algunos detalles más acogedores para que sea perfecta. Un poco caro. El camino hasta el alojamiento es estrecho y sin asfaltar (para nosotros no fue ningún problema, pero para que lo tengan en cuenta los que vayan conduciendo su propio vehículo)

• Jessica (10/5): Relaxing sy - Guillermo and his wife Sonia were very welcoming and helped us find great food, and Guillermo even gave us a lift to 'la piedra' when the tuk-tuks were all busy. We stayed in a beautiful, comfortable room with an amazing view. The breakfast was also delicious! Thanks again for the warm welcome. It is about 5-10 minutes in Tuk tuk from the center of the city (where food for lunch and supper is), but the place is absolutely beautiful and the hosts are incredibly welcoming.

L'ensemble des bâtiments surplombe le lac et descend le long d'une pente en escaliers qui regorge d'arbres fruitiers aux senteurs exquises. De la terrasse, vue splendide sur la Piedra del Peñol ou sur le lac, que vouloir de plus ? Justement, un accueil chaleureux et discret à l'image d'un hôte dont on sent, tout de suite, le plaisir qu'il a à vouloir rendre le séjour tranquille et reposant. C'est tout bonnement remarquable. • Pantuso (10/5): Could not recommend more highly. - Astonishingly beautiful little b-n-b just outside the main town (though only a 10-min ride into the center). Guillermo was a gracious, knowledgeable, and welcoming host, who did everything from give me tips to share stories to help me find my phone when I left it in a tuk tuk. The rooms are comfortable and quiet with gorgeous views, and the breakfast on the terrace cannot be beat (tip: take the house special). My only regret is that I was only here one night. You can definitely do Guatapé in a day, but this place is worth extending your stay a little bit, especially if—like me—it comes in the middle of a longer trip.

The room was beautiful and comfortable but the real highlight is the hospitality of Guillermo and his wife, who took exceptional care of us. They provided us with a great breakfast and transportation options with Tuk Tuks and private taxis. It feels like we gained a friend in Colombia through this stay and can’t wait to revisit. Bonus, the property is very close to the El Penol rock. Nothing, everything was great.

We loved the amazing views, the close proximity to Guatapé, and the special attention from the hosts to help us find a fishing expedition. It is hard to find negatives because everything is so nice! There are only a few parking spots which, because of the driveway, are a little difficult to navigate. We never had any problems but if you have a very large vehicle, it may be tight.

• John (10/5): Don't waste your money on anything else, believe the ratings! - So many things to enjoy: - Guillermo is extremely communicative, responsive, and will arrange anything you need! - Guillermo and his wife prepare a fresh breakfast for you every morning, simply the best. - Wifi is strong and capable for remote workers, mesh router in your room. - Guest common outdoor space with full kitchen, music, etc. - Free kayaks. - Location is just out of town, and away from traffic, just a short tuktuk ride away. Everything is literally perfect.

• Abigail (9/5): Total tranquility - You couldn't ask for a more tranquil spot. We were able to sleep with the door slightly open and only heard sounds of nature. The property is beautiful, right on the water with kayaks and paddle boards free to use - and it's located on a very calm part of the water, like a small alcove. There are only five rooms in the property so guest noise is super minimal. There's also a nice hot tub. The hosts are very accommodating and it's easy to get into town via tuk tuk - about 10-15 minutes and 15,000 pesos there and around 20-25,000 pesos back. The room where we stayed didn't have much ventilation without the door open, but they gave us a fan that totally solved the problem. We had a little difficulty with breakfast not starting until 8am because we're with little kids that wake up 2 hours earlier due to their school schedule. Probably not an issue for many travelers but just noting for those with littles, maybe bring a snack for those early wakeups.

• Katrina (10/5): The perfect place to relax and rest! - It is a beautiful location! The host is very friendly and welcoming into his home, including a home-cooked breakfast by his wife. It is outside of town but only about a 15 minute tuktuk ride to get to Guatape. Truly a place to chill and relax. It was exactly what we hoped for based on the description and location. That being said, walking to the rock or town would be an unpleasant experience. The main road has no shoulder so be prepared to get a tuktuk whenever you want to go somewhere. Also, while we had access to kayaks, due to safety concerns we were limited to the small bay on which the house sits. Great for casual excursions but very small if you are used to being on the water.

• Sara (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay and enjoyed every moment. Our host Sonia was incredibly accommodating and prepared a lovely breakfast for us in the morning. The cat that is on the property really made my stay with his playful attitude and friendly character. The room had a gorgeous view and the hostel was tucked away far enough from noisy roads or traffic. The rock was easy to get to but I will heed some advice and tell you that you should go EARLY and have Sonia call you a tuk tuk to get there before the crowds. I did not care for Guatape that much because it was just too touristy for my liking but THIS place in particular is going to be a must for me to return to. Very romantic spot that made my bf and I feel like we were on a honeymoon. The name really does do it justice. No complaints! Best place we stayed at in Colombia

• Mikel (10/5): A tranquil place to quite down and connect with nature. - The property was beautiful and a wonderful location. The host Guillermo, his wife and all the staff were amazing. They were extremely helpful with recommendations as far as where to go, what to do and local information. Our family has dietary restrictions and they were more than accommodating for breakfast, which was delicious. We definitely plan on visiting this beautiful place again. There was nothing to dislike, it was wonderful.

• Evan (9/5): Wonderful, highly recommend! Guillermo made us feel at home. - The owner, Guillermo, is fantastic. He and his family welcomed us on arrival as if it were our own home. He made us feel so comfortable, got us everything we needed - ordered us a tuktuk into town, give us restaurant recommendations, let us know there was a festival going on in town and how to best experience it, and helped arrange a private car for us to the airport. The food was great, and the room was beautiful - overlooks the water, really comfy bed, and adequate washroom. And we had access to the water, took out a kayak to explore the bay, and all so close to El Penol. Plus... there's a hot tub! Nothing like it after a walk up the rock :) Nothing! Just a heads up that the signage to find it is a little lacking, so just message on Whatsapp before you arrive, so you know what to look for :)
• Ben (10/5): FABULOUS - This hotel is one of the best places we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived the owner was the most amazing host, he was attentive and friendly and would do anything to keep his guest happy including ordering food in and taxis etc. We stayed in the master suite which had the most amazing view and facilities, it didn’t feel real! The view of the lake and going on the kayaks was the cherry on top! You have to stay here!! No issues at all, we wish we stayed longer!!
