Guest Reviews
- Anne-Laure (9/5): -
- Marianne (10/5): A unique place to stay with so much history - We were fascinated by the history of the house and the beautifully preserved living spaces. The exhibits of the early watchmakers tools and general information were very interesting. Nothing
- Eléonore (10/5): - The house is beautiful and the staff very welcoming. The beds were very confortable and the bathroom clean.
Breakfast was probably one of the best I've ever had! We could hear the church bells a little but it was quite faint and it didn't disturb our sleep at all.

A disp snack payant. Thé et café offert! ---

- Lali (10/5): - Looks like a museum, full of charm and character. The place is very clean and well kept. The café on the ground floor serves a nice breakfast, and the location is excellent — perfect for exploring the area. It can get a bit hot in summer since there’s only a fan, but overall it’s a lovely place to stay.
- Laurent (9/5): -
Gerne wieder.

- Deborah (9/5): - I love Maison DuBois, this is the second time I have stayed there and despite the need to carry my luggage up and down three flights of stairs, I have been very happy there both times. My room is quiet and dark so I sleep very well; the bed is very comfortable and the owner Gary extremely accommodating in promptly providing information and assistance, not to mention my preferred firm pillows. I hope to return next year! I would prefer not to have to navigate three flights of stairs with my luggage, but it doesn't stop me from coming back!
- Jumphy (9/5): Do you like watchmaking - stay is a must! - OK. It's a room with shared bathroom. I was the only person in the whole house so it was not really a problem. BUT it's a very old house that belonged to the oldest watchmaking family in the area. DuBois family - just google it! And you can sleep in their house. It's even mentioned in city tour guide! How often do you have chance to sleep in such setup? It has even a room with old archives and watchmaking tools you can have a look through glass door. I could see Tissot factory across the valey from my window :-) Well we had some troubles communicate in english with the stuff but not a real issue. After all the problem is my French :-)
Neteko niekur dar to patirti pasaulyje.
- Sophie (10/5): Revenir - Son histoire

- Joel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edoardo (8/5): Very good -
- Guilherme (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (10/5): a very special stay in a wonderful house full of history - The central location, the type and stile of accommodation which is like a museum
We were alone in the house and as we were traveling by bicycle it was convenient that we could take them into the house for safety
- Esther (5/5): Very mediocre. I would not stay there again - The bed was comfortable The building is old and it was very noisy
You could hear even thru the walls and the ceiling
- Deborah (8/5): I thoroughly enjoyed it, Le Locle is really interesting and the Maison was very comfortable. - The location was great, within easy walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops, the railway station and the main bus stop. Le Locle has great street art and a map showing its location, most within easy walking distance of Maison DuBois. My room faced away from the church across the road, I sleep lightly but did not hear the church bells which ring every 15 minutes at all. I enjoyed the train and bus ride each day down to the Neuchatel lakeside, the scenery is beautiful and the trip didn't take long. The Restaurant Le Moka a few doors down from Maison was a real find, great food reasonably priced; the Cafe du Marche in the town centre was good for coffee each morning. It's a town, and the locals are friendly. There was nothing I disliked but I would have appreciated a bit more information, in English, about the room and its facilities, and Le Locle, but the Tourist Information office in the Town Hall was very helpful when I eventually found it. The fact there was no air conditioning in my room was easily overcome by leaving the windows open and the shutters closed, it's a quiet town. And being able to access to the fridge in the kitchen on the floor below was good.
- Anat (10/5): Exceptional - Charming room in a charming time capsule, tasteful, and very comfortable.
Great bed and fun shower.
Our host could help us with parking and we had a realy nice breakfast at a venue nearby.
We loved it!
- Mark (10/5): An excellent stay because I was able to confirm a family link with the owner who came to meet me. - The location and size of the room were excellent. Unfortunately the breakfast area was closed but arrangements were made to use a hotel nearby.
