• Carolyn (9/5): Perfect place for a rest on a long hike - Such a friendly welcome! It was very traditional; the room had everything I needed, comfy bed, and I slept really well. I appreciated the desk in the room too. I loved it! Probably best to travel by car as it’s a little far from the station and places to eat.
• Frank (6/5): Rustikal und hellhörig, aber tolle Natur. - Die Natur und das Frühstück. Der sehr rustikale Charakter mit den niedrigen Betten sowie das es sehr (!) hellhörig im Haus ist und man alles was passiert mitbekommt. Außerdem liegt das Haus zwischen der Hauptstraße und der Bahntrasse.

• Edgar (10/5): Überaus freundliche, zuvorkommende Gastgeber, habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. - Margrit und Sepp sind tolle, aufmerksame Gastgeber. Das Frühstück war üppig und dürfte jeden zufriedenstellen. Am 2.Tag wurde ich zum Mittagessen eingeladen, da ich um den Mittag herum vor Ort war. Am Abreisetag durfte ich noch bis am Nachmittag schlafen, da ich die Nacht durch gearbeitet habe (Taxifahrer) und erst früh morgens wieder in die Unterkunft gekommen bin. Es herrschte eine friedliche, familiäre Atmosphäre und man fühlt sich gleich herzlich aufgenommen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top. Hat mir alles in allem sehr gut gefallen und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke euch beiden vielmals! Leider hat an dem Wochenende als ich zu Gast war die Bahn Schotter ausgetauscht und neue Gleise verlegt, was seitens der Bahn scheinbar nicht ordentlich kommuniziert wurde, deshalb war das ganze Wochenende durchgehend Lärm von draussen zu hören (oftmals tagsüber sehr laut, am frühen Morgen bis etwa 6.00 etwas leiser). Meine Gastgeber können dafür nichts, deshalb gebe ich Ihnen diesbezüglich auch eine gute Bewertung. Im Haus selber war es soweit ruhig.

• Karin (10/5): Fühlte mich sehr wohl und willkommen. - Sehr gastfreundlich und offene Gastgeberin. Unkompliziert und familiär, ideal für Alleinreisende.
• Joachim (8/5): Gut, günstig, Frühstück wie bei Muttern. - Sehr warmherzige Gastgeberin. Liegt etwas außerhalb von Luzern, schön ruhig, preislich für die Region unschlagbar. Nichts.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. - Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Familie Hofstetter sehr genossen - ein sehr gepflegter traditioneller Schweizer Bauernhof, alles sehr sauber und zum Teil neu renoviert, ein wunderbares, liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück von Margrit, der Besitzerin, ein geräumiges Drei- bzew Vierbettzimmer mit eigener Zwischentür und bequemen Betten - das Gemeinschaftsbad fühlte sich an wie das Bad in einer Ferienwohnung. Die Natur rund um das Haus und der hübsche Garten fördern die Entspannung. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen. Gerne bis zum nächsten Mal :). Hinter der Strasse verläuft auch eine Zugtrasse - allerdings sind die Schweizer (Nahverkehrs-)Züge recht leise, so dass das überhaupt nicht störend war. Ungewohnt war nur das Bimmeln der Schranken-Signale. Beim ersten Mal dachten wir, es wäre ein Wecker im Nebenzimmer - aber wir haben uns auch daran schnell gewöhnt und fanden es nicht störend. Einfach nur als kleiner Hinweis.

• M (9/5): Prima verblijf onderweg naar Italië - Een prachtige authentieke lokatie, met gastvrij ontvangst. Wij hadden deze lokatie als tussenstop naar Italië. We konden onze caravan fijn parkeren en in het huis overnachten

• Daan (8/5): value for money! - I stayed one night on my way from Brussels to Venice. The venue was ideally located just off the highway and about a 100km before the Gotthard tunnel. The room and facilities are basic, yet very clean and qualitative. I enjoyed a walk along the river nearby.

• Tamara (5/5): Passable - N/A TRAVELORS BE WARE! Host didn't understand or speak English.? Noisy location ! Not close to train or bus station for people on foot. Twin bed not comfortable. Host requested cash payment, and she drove me to her bank. I still was charged by Booking.com because she didn't make the adjust on her end!!!

• Janet (10/5): Relaxing stay in old-style accomodation. - Location is perfect. A real taste of old Switzerland. Marguerite and Josef were brilliant, so helpful when we had a medical emergency. Plenty of breakfast and really good coffee! All good as far as we were concerned.

• Ashley (10/5): Delightful stay that we wish had been longer. - Beautiful property and friendly and helpful hosts. Nice breakfast. Close to Luzern (20 minutes away) but in the picturesque countryside of Emmenthal. Hooks in the rooms might be helpful.
• Sarma (10/5): Wonderful stay in countryside - Wonderful hosts, they showed us their farms, hens & garden! A great place to stay & relax, especially if you like living in the countryside and enjoy nature. The breakfast was simple & very good! Some of the live maps may show that the Schachen LU train station is about 23 mins walk, but the house is only about 10 to 11 minutes walk. So it is quite accessible from Lucerne by public transport as well. Nothing really!

• Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Margaret was very kind and upon request cooked us dinner which was lovely after a long day in the car. The family room was spacious with a separate room for the children. The kids could play on the trampoline and run around. Ideal for a one night stop.
