• Sujaila (10/5): Lo recomiendo - La ubicación muy buena, el metro cerca y hay un mercadillo barato todos los días menos el domingo que libran, la atención muy bien y cuándo necesitamos algo como dejar las maletas no tuvimos problemas en dejarlas en un salón y nos dejaron las llaves para recogerlas más tarde porque nuestro vuelo era tarde-noche. La limpieza impecable y las camas cómodas y no había ruidos en el barrio. El desayuno es en una cafetería enfrente y nos encantó tanto el desayuno y el trato del personal de la cafetería. Lo recomiendo. Yo pondría un microondas porque para calentar las comidas que compras es una buena idea, ya que Ámsterdam es bastante caro casi todo. Bueno las escaleras te impactan, pero en Ámsterdam es algo normal por lo que vimos.
• Lisa colette (3/5): Very disappointing for 2026 - The only thing I can say something nice about, is the bed was very comfortable, other than that very very disappointing 😞 😕 😒 On advertisement it doesn't say anywhere about the extremely steep, narrow 4 flights of stairs , which are very risky for someone with mobility issues, dangerous i thought ! No TV also, its 2026 !! Why ?? We never heard from hosts, asking about our stay and was everything ok, honestly when we opened front door it was like a squat all the post lying everywhere and felt a bit unsafe if im being honest ! Would i stay there again ? NEVER

Best we could choose! - The property is in an excellent location, close to all the main attractions, well connected by metro, and within easy walking distance of many sights. The surrounding area offers a great selection of restaurants and pubs, making it easy to find good food, and it also feels very safe. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, to the point that it was genuinely hard to get up in the morning because we slept so well. For those traveling with friends, one detail that may not be obvious from the photos is that both the shower and toilet have doors, and the area is separated from the living space by a curtain, offering a good level of privacy. Additionally, there is a secure lock on the door, which made us feel very safe, something that wasn’t clearly mentioned in other reviews. Would highly recommend! Extremely good value for money 🤩

Tenía nevera, hervido de agua, cafetera, además de vasos y unos cuantos utensilios para comer algo sencillo. Se duerme muy bien, cero ruido y los alrededores tienes mucho para comer y /comprar. Está al lado de la zona de museos. Lo más incómodo es el baño y la ducha, que es cristal y no da privacidad. Creo que con una cortina que separe las estancias se soluciona el problema. Además no tiene extracción y por eso los olores se quedan retenidos.

• Loreta (7/5): - A great and quiet location – close to many cafés, the metro, and other public transport. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The stairs leading to the apartment are quite narrow and steep, which might be challenging for guests with large luggage. Fortunately, we didn’t have any suitcases with us. It would also be nice to have some basic hygiene items provided, such as shower gel and shampoo.
• Levin (7/5): Great location in DePijp, for those wanting a full dutch experience living in the attick. - I was not aware it was an apartment within somebody's house (his attick). I was also not aware (my fault - no blaming) - that i'd have to climb 4 very steep staircases with my luggage and every day. Host was nice. Place was clean. well equipped. but for me claustrophobic and hard to access. area is great, very lively, but noisy. good for young visitors which I'm sure they'll enjoy. access, staircsase, size, street noise.
• Bertoni (5/5): - The room is not cheap, but it is worth the price because of its fantastic location. The apartment is in a beautiful part of the city, very close to public transport and supermarkets, and the neighborhood is pleasant and safe, even in the evenings. The house itself was also very clean and comfortable. The host did not specify in the listing that he lives in the same house as the guests. Our privacy was limited to the bedroom with a bathroom, while the kitchen area was shared with the host. The room is accessed through a trapdoor in the attic, which was already open when we arrived: we tried to close it but it seemed blocked. This lack of transparency about the living arrangements was surprising and uncomfortable. We only realized on the last night that the host was living in the apartment with us, we found out ourself, he didn't informed us about his arrival, he "came back from holiday", which negatively affected our experience.

• Francesco (9/5): Ottimo B&B ma attenzione alle scale! - Posizione ottima, servita da metro e tram a meno di 5 minuti a piedi. L' Albert Cuyp Market è al di là della strada e nelle vicinanze ci sono moltissimi ristoranti e bar Le scale per accedere non sono per nulla comode, specialmente se si viaggia con trolley pesanti (noi ci siamo adattati usando uno zaino da viaggio che ci ha facilitato sia la salita che la discesa). Sconsigliato a chi ha difficoltà motorie!
• Lorne (3/5): Left early, did not feel safe. - Location was great. The steps were incredibly steep and narrow. Had great difficulty trying to get our carry on luggage up the stairs. The was no breakfast. There was no security as we came across two strangers who were inside our locked door area. We found the ground floor door wide open went we went out for the day. There was no fire escape plan and we did not know where to go in case of a fire. We stayed one night and left the next day.

• Alan (8/5): Nice value in good area to explore Amsterdam but beware of the stairs--they are steep! - Good neighborhood as a starting point to explore the city. Transportation options are very close. The STAIRS. We got used to the 4 flights of stairs so it got easier each day but beware especially on arrival and departure day when you have to bring luggage up the stairs (or is it a ladder!) it it's for the faint of heart. Was disappointed that I didn't notice that there is an extra charge to use the laundry.

Right next to metro and you can easily reach city center by foot. No cutlery and dishes in apartment so you can’t even make a quick simple breakfast.

Whilst we were aware of the steep stairs, we weren't quite aware of how many there would be. It was a bit of a challenge on the way up with our bags but you get used to it pretty quickly.

• Danner (7/5): Overall pleasant. - Excellent location, easy check in, mini fridge with water (though water was not complimentary), easy communication with host. Room As described. Hand soap dispenser was near empty (until cleaned on our 5th day). Fortunately we brought our own hand soap bar just in case. Also the shower door wasn’t sealed properly so water leaked all over the floor and only one towel per guest was provided (until cleaned on 5th day). We had to use our bath towels to clean up leakage and then reuse them. Not fun.

• Daniela (9/5): Great accommodation in the middle of Amsterdam - The accommodation has unbelievable top location! You can reach everything by foot really fast, and also the connection for a public transport was 2-5min by walk from the apartment. The room was spacious and we didn’t have any problems to find it. For us it was not a problem - but maybe for an old people the stairs were a bit steep..

• Luke (10/5): I’ve never slept better in a city, fantastic and cosy! - It was a great location and great host, very friendly, we’ve seen a lot of comments about the stairs but if you’re able they give a great authentic feel to a house in Amsterdam which was great! Such a nice cosy place to stay and great value for money, there is a tram stop from Marie heinekenplein a 3 minute walk that takes you directly through the centre to and from Amsterdam centraal Nothing it was perfect
• Richard (9/5): It was an enjoyable experience with the real flavour of Amsterdam - A very authentic Amsterdam experience. Suite is in the attic of a typical rowhouse and was very bright and clean. Stairs were a bit daunting at first but were managable after we got used to them and are typical of the area. Great breakfast and coffee just steps from the door and lots of good restaurants in the area. In the De Pijp district and within walking distance to the canal district, the Museumplein and the Vondelpark. We had been looking forward to access to a washing machine but at 15 euros per load, we did without.

• Barbara (8/5): Very pleasant stay in a lovely vibrant location outside of the main tourist area. - The location was great with many places to eat around and also a great market minutes away. We also enjoyed the park which was about 15 minutes walk. Also Van Gough Museum and other museums are at walkable distance. The location is very well connected to the city centre with the metro and tram. The room was very clean, it's a shame that despite been listed as bed and breakfast, breakfast wasn't actually provided :-( Small fridge in the room was also a bonus to store own drinks. Be careful where you choose to eat as prices are quite high even for the most basic restaurants. Also very steep stairs (4 ramps) to reach the room which can be quite dangerous for young children or for somebody with limited mobility.

• Mia (9/5): Great location and value for money - Location is lovely, facility as you would expect, all in all great value for money The host lives on the second floor and guests get the third floor. The door on third floor didn't lock which we would have preferred. The door going into second floor can be locked so didn't feel too nervous. Shower and toilet are quite transparent so get ready to get intimate with your companions

We had fun! - Location was perfect - right by the metro station (wish we had realised this in advance as we walked across the city from the station and could have hopped on a metro direct). Amazing restaurant close by (Thrill Grill) - best food we've had in a long time. Pleasant host, met us on arrival. 10 minute walk to fireworks at Van Gogh and 15 minutes to Dam Square. Lovely quiet location, even for the time of year. The stairs are exceptionally steep. I was with two teenagers and it was fine but they aren't just steep they are almost a ladder. Access to room is through a trap door so no key to lock it. Again we were happy with this but just to be aware. The toilet and shower are in the room - and are just a shower cubicle for each. My children found it hilarious and again wasn't a bother to us - but some people would not like it

Very central and right by the metro and train stops so easy to get around town. Markets at the end of the street so great to walk through for shopping Three flights of internal stairs to access the top floor are extremely steep and narrow so not suitable for anyone with any form of mobility problems or poor balance. Toilet is in the room with tinted glass door so not very private when sharing the room but manageable
