- cise hande (10/5): Very satisfying stay - The view was amazing. It is really refreshing to be able to close to the river, feeding the ducks :) i wish we had more nights over here. The place was clean, equipments were enough. Close to the center and nice staff informing us in every step. I really very recommend this place. I couldn’t turn on as heat the airconditioner but i did not ask maybe there was a way to make it as heat mode. It was a little bit cold at night.

- Aaron (7/5): We had a pleasant stay on the canal. - The bed was very comfortable. There was a nice view of the canal, boats and cityscape . The location was very quiet yet close to transportation, night life and amenities. The only sink was in the bathroom and very small so doing our dishes was cumbersome.

- Eva (8/5): It was lovely and relaxing! - The cleanliness, location, and beautiful view! The host showing up unannounced, we were still getting ready for the day.
- Steven (10/5): Quiet, comfortable and friendly. - A friendly helpful host. Quiet location but within a walk of the main museum/art gallery area. A lively cafe culture also a short walk. Panoramic windows giving a mesmerising view of the river. A good shower room, coffee facilities and a comfortable bed. Room plenty big enough although I understand why the host warns that there is no room for large amounts of luggage. I would definitely book here if returning to Amsterdam. We turned the fridge off as we found it noisy during the night but as we didn’t need to store anything that was fine.

- Thomas (7/5): Fun for a few days. - Nice view. Good area with nice restaurants. Property a little cluttered. Small room. Little bathroom privacy.
- Sebastian (9/5): - It’s all about the view!

- Acheson (10/5): Exceptional - great view, great location
- Joanne (10/5): We enjoyed a lovely 5 day stay in Amsterdam on the houseboat, which is centrally situated. - We loved the fact that the houseboat was really centrally situated. It is completely self-contained and had everything we needed. Watching the activities on the river was really fun and we loved the local birdlife too! Our stay was perfect - no complaints! Although the room is quite compact, it is perfect for two guests and has all the necessary amenities. Public transport and Ubers are all easy to reach.
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful view watching the boats cruising the river
Owner was very welcoming Bathroom is small and less private feeling than many but not an issue when staying with spouse or partner
- Jennifer (9/5): A PERFECT DUTCH EXPERIENCE - The location was absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed sitting and watching the boats go by right outside our window. The space is small but it is amazing how well laid out it was. The bonus was the shower which can often be extra small in space of this size but the design of it was perfect and larger than you'd expect. Wendelein provided us with great advice on where to eat. We honestly feel this is a small gem and worth booking for an true dutch experience.
- Michal (9/5): Great - The region, The Pijp, is just lovely, young, artsi, with markets. The room has an amazing view, like sailing the whole time Mind that the land lady "visited" the room while we were gone, moved a furniture and 2 towels. Also mind that she lives right next to the room. She's the nicest person but there's some sort of privacy issue
- Sharanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (9/5): Great place for a couple - Great, unique experience. Centrally located with an exceptional view. Everything you need for a short and comfortable stay in Amsterdam.
- Hendrika (10/5): Excellent stay right on the water. - On the water, clean and comfortable Nothing
- Viktoria (10/5): We will come back - in love with Amsterdam and the houseboat! 😍 - Great houseboat experience!
The owner was super caring and helpful before and during the stay (she answered every question, was sending recommendations for getting there from the airport and for restaurants, took care of our needs,…). We had one colder, rainy day during our stay but the floor heating was on - so no freezing at the boat at all.
In addition, the boat was clean and the availability of a little kitchenette enabled us to cook coffee and tea in the morning.
The houseboat is beautifully situated at the Amsel. We had a short distance to the “Grachten” (canals), the Vondelpark and also to the museum quarter (Van Gogh,…). If you want some privacy when traveling with a friend it might not be the right choice. The boat is a good choice for a short trip to the beautiful city Amsterdam, but you have to know that it is a cosy place. In our case it’s been a great choice but you have to know that the boat is quite compact: sleeping room with a little niche for the coffee machine and kettle and a little fridge, bathroom incl. toilet - that’s it. There’s not a lot of space for big suitcases or a wardrobe. So be aware that it’s the better choice for shorter city trips. ;-)
- Stephen (7/5): A novel experience with a great view. - The view from the room was stupendous. The location was very quiet. The shower was excellent. The host/owner was very helpful and communications were excellent. The room was small and rather sparse, although perfectly functionable.
- Caroline (7/5): Good -
- Lucas (8/5): Cozy, charming space directly on the water in a lovely location in Amsterdam. - Unique accommodation in a good location! On the small side
- Paola (8/5): Lovely experience, I will do it again - Very nice experience of sleeping in a houseboat, very easy check in, helpful host, nice location Room and bathroom a bit small
- Shea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheuk (8/5): Everything is good, just the owner has a little rude to come in the room, and press the password to come in without knoc -
- Susan (7/5): Good - view of the Amstel River. host was
very accessible very small space, teeny sink that was difficult to use
no access to sit outside with water view; deck
area wasn’t inviting.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - The beautiful view 😍
- Robert (9/5): A great experience staying on the water. - It was a cute little space right on the water. We loved the big window at water level. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and kettle along with dishes for our use. It was close to bus and tram lines and lots of good restaurants. It was clean and inviting. The sleeping pillows needed replacing. There are some “decor” items which use up valuable space and aren’t really necessary.
- Karyn (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful setting in the heart of the city.
- Sue (8/5): A lovely break - The shower was amazing! Lovely to look out and see the river.
The owner was very kind, providing map references for places we’d like to visit. Quite noisy with trams, planes, traffic etc
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional - We had an amazing stay, the houseboat is very nice and at a good location and mornings/sunsets at the river were sooo pretty !
- Heather (9/5): Wonderfully unique way to stay in a city full of canals. - Waking up to the canal outside the window was such a treat. Wish we could have stayed longer!
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional houseboat! - The host was brilliant in updating us on different travel arrangements on how to get to the houseboat and how to get around Amsterdam in the best way possible. The room was clean and the views are beautiful! We even made it out of the window for a swim in the canal which was surprisingly warm! I couldn't recommend this host and their houseboat highly enough! It's in a great area and not to close but also not to far away from the city centre!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Telling people it is perfectly clean or super comfortable would be wrong. But, it is a houseboat, it is Amsterdam and therefore you get best value for money It is a great expirience when water-birds swim by and you are living by the river for a few days.
- James (10/5): Quintessential Experience in Amsterdam - It was a very unique and quintessential experience in Amsterdam. The host was very helpful and responsive, deserving of the many positive reviews. She also provided a number of tips for restaurants and cafés, for which my stay was unfortunately too short to try them all.
I happened to be there on the day when the market around the corner was on (Albert Cryp Marché), and it was very convenient.
I arrived in the morning and the host also provided some suggestions and links where I might be able to store my bag before I could check in. It was very warm, and the river was very inviting to go for a swim. However, there was no real option to get out of the river, should I have jumped in. Perhaps a ladder off the inner dock would solve this "problem"? I'm sure this question does not come up very often 🙂.
- Anne-mai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (10/5): Perfect getaway - The houseboat was perfect. It was clean and warm and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and right on the river. Quiet and lots of lovely birds swimming past. A short tram ride into the city and also to the Ziggodome. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Brenda (5/5): I love the idea of staying on a boat but this one had very limited amenities - I like the fact it is a boat on a canel. In a very quiet area away from party area. No comfortable seating inside or outside for relaxing. For the price it should have a TV and I think could offer more snack options (perhaps leave a little something in fridge)
- Eline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saoirse (8/5): Very good - Beautiful view, near tram and metro, patio, cozy, very kind owner
- Tom (9/5): Great views. Great location. Great city - The location was perfect - the morning view across the canal exceeded our expectations and with it being surrounded by loads of great bars and restaurants, its was exactly what we were looking for. Will be looking to come back and book the accommodation again! One thing we didn't like was.........we had to leave at the end of our stay :(
unfortunately we only had a small kitchenette type area, but that is due to government regulations so can't fault the rental property
- Stephen (10/5): What a gem! - The room is remarkable. Unique, on the river, with beautiful views during the day but especially at night. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Suited is perfectly. We loved it all. We ate out all the time but that was what we planned. A local Lidl provided fruit, milk and biscuits. The coffee machine worked a treat.
- Isabelle (8/5): Very good - The location is unbeatable, while you are about a 30-50 minute walk or a 15 minute tram ride from the center of Amsterdam, the views of the canal are so worth it. The houseboat was clean and exactly how the pictures show it to be.
- Ellie (10/5): Gorgeous view, great location and perfect for a peaceful stay in Amsterdam. - The view was amazing, location was quiet and not too far away from
everything.
- Beth (9/5): Superb - Perfect location. Beautiful view. The host/owner is lovely.
- Katarzyna (10/5): Weekend in Amsterdam - Super experience to sleep in a houseboat in Amsterdam!
Rooms clean and good equipped.
Great owner taking care of customers! 👌 Deck need a small renovation 🙂
- Maureen (9/5): Superb - love the location wish the water in the shower was hotter
- Melissa (8/5): Very good - Great location, really lovely, quite area and easy to access central Amsterdam. View from the big window was fab and the shower was surprisingly really good for a houseboat! Very helpful host too. Nothing in particular - the bed could have been a little bigger! Amsterdam is an expensive city accommodation wise but this felt like good value for money compared to everything else.
- Yves (10/5): Most romantic room on the water! - Great room with a large window directly on the water. A swan swam in the morning and greeted us directly at the window. Unbelievably romantic place.
- Liubov (10/5): Lovely room with a great view - Lovely room with a great view. Location is also great. Special thanks to the host, who was extremely helpful and kind. We also loved very detailed guide for the city inside the apartment, it was written with care and attention.
- Trekker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doreen (9/5): Interesting experience... - The swans and ducks that came really near the windows. The view was great and the water dark given that it was winter though it would be lovely to be able to dive into it. Just saying, given that I am not sure if that is acceptable or safe. The shower was hot and though there were toiletries, honey, water, microwave, fridge, etc given though we did not use most of them as we were busy exploring Amsterdam. Nice touches though. It is not that far from the centre of town or at least, we could walk easily. So, if you like some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle, this is probably an ideal location. Host was very friendly and sends detailed instructions on check in and check out via booking.com. When we reached Amsterdam, she suggested using whatsapp and provided suggestions on what we could do and where we could go. Not sure if this is really a dislike but it was very interesting that the houseboat functions more like a stay with a host family. For example, we emptied the garbage after a 2 night stay and we were also kept informed about the energy crisis. Given that I come from a place pretty far away from Europe, it struck home about the dire energy situation in Europe when the host informed us that the aircon heater should not be turned on the whole night because of the energy crisis and that Amsterdam expects everyone to sleep in 19 degrees celsius which was fine till one has to go to the toilet, despite the heated floor 😅 Admittedly, we did need the heater coz we were not used to the cold when we were first arrived and we did not quite fancy sleeping in our winter coats. 😅 Nonetheless, we tried without the heater the next night and decked up instead given that we would also like to do our part...
- Hezroy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jen (9/5): Stunning, cosy, wonderful - It’s absolutely stunning, the location is beautiful. you have everything you need, all fit into that compact space super well. Nice and warm inside even when freezing outside :) I’d love the bathroom door to close properly! for privacy purposes.
- Stavroula (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Clean and cozy houseboat with modern facilities in a great location - Amazing location and view in a very clean, recently remodeled houseboat. We enjoyed the neighborhood De Pijp and it's only a short walk from the market. The bed was super comfortable and waking up to the sunrise through the large windows was such a memorable experience!
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful houseboat - My stay here was wonderful and the view onto the Amstel River is breathtaking. The room is on the cozy side but very well appointed. It's clear that the host cares about providing a very comfortable experience for her guests. I would absolutely stay here again when in Amsterdam. Everything was great :)
- Le (8/5): Very good -
- Morgan (7/5): Good -
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Tjipke (9/5): Superb -
- Nathan (9/5): Cute houseboat with an awesome view of the water! - Lovely houseboat, with a great view of the water. Clean and tidy with a comfy bed and a powerful shower. We would definitely stay again! It's in a nice neighbourhood but it is about 30 minutes walk to the center of Amsterdam or you have to use bikes/public transport. Under normal circumstances this woudn't have presented a problem, but we had torrential rain for our entire stay so being a little further out from the center wasn't perfect. If you're going to Amsterdam in the Autumn / Winter, bring substantial raingear + boots + umbrella.
- Sara (9/5): Superb - loved the location and the view
the bed was so comfortable the double duvet. we would prefer having two instead of one shared
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Mercédes (10/5): Cozy place on the water that is at the same close to nature and in the middle of the city - We loved everything about this cozy little retreat on the water – the good sense of style and attention to detail, the beautiful view of the river Amstel and, most of all, all the water birds swimming by all day long. The host, Wendelien, was very nice and helpful, and most points of interest in Amsterdam are within walking distance in <1 hour (or, if you don’t enjoy walking, you can always rent a bike). We were 100% satisfied with this accommodation and didn’t feel like there was anything missing at all. We can recommend it to anyone looking for a unique vacation experience staying in a houseboat directly on the water.
- Jung (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view Nothing
- Michelle (9/5): Great little room - Location on the river was amazing! Room was very clean and comfortable. Communication and service 10/10 (she even got in touch the day before to let us know that rain had been forecast, and to remind us to bring rain coats) Nothing, everything was lovely.
- Tyson (10/5): a polite and respectful host, sorted a small issue with the water very quickly and always responded to any enquiry promp - Clean, amazing view and location! walking distance to many attractions? it’s Amsterdam so nothing is a large property. Some milk in the fridge for would have been amazing but other than that no complaints
- Filipe (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect Location, the view is amazing. The owner super friendly. Would definitly go back there!
- Susan (10/5): A great experience in a different type of accommodation - Had a lovely stay here . Fabulous view over the river. Very comfortable. Met all our expectations Having to leave to return home
- Kaan (8/5): Very good -
