- Robert (10/5): Idyllic rural Tasmanian stay - The location and view was fabulous. A rural location that is just so beautiful and idyllic. Michelle was a great personable and pleasant host and the accommodations were spacious, modern and clean as can be. Zoe, Michelle's gorgeous little dog greeted us and showed us around and loved the cheese pizza. In summary, you cannot do better than this place for an overnight or extended stay. Impossible to do better.
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect would of like to have stayed another night. - Our Breakfast was really good John cooked me the eggs on toast a bonus. The setting the room and the surroundings.

The apartment is well furnished and comfortable, very private and Michelle has added lots of warm touches to make the stay homely and memorable. We loved our stay, only wished we could have stayed longer! Nothing. Everything was great. The wifi was out when we arrived due to a modem issue but we were fine hot spotting off our phones.

- Kylie (10/5): A relaxing getaway with stunning views, a homely atmosphere, and a host who genuinely cares - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming countryside Airbnb. The setting was breathtaking — surrounded by lush nature and peaceful landscapes that made every morning feel like a retreat. The cottage itself had a warm, cosy feel with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like a true home away from home. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering great local tips and making sure we had everything we needed. The sleeping arrangements were ideal for our family — spacious, comfortable, and perfectly suited for both adults and kids.
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with stunning views, a homely atmosphere, and a host who genuinely cares, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!
- Frances (8/5): -
- Julie (9/5): Lovely break in the countryside. - Lovely place to stay, and very well equipped for the necessities of travelling such as good cooking and washing facilities plus very large bathroom. Pretty outdoor courtyard for relaxing plus listening and watching the birds. Easy access yet still felt, and sounded secluded. Communication was excellent from Michelle who was very accommodating particularly as I originally booked the wrong day. Only tip from me would be to take an eye mask if there in Summer as bedroom is light in the mornings.
- Sandy (10/5): - Would recommend highly!

Was fully set up to be self sufficient. Everything was great.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Best B & B we had ever stayed in. - We just loved being at Birch Lane amongst the rolling hills and cattle. Michelle has an absolute gem of a local and cottage. Everything you could need was there ready for guests. We missed our dogs so Zoe the rescue dog tried to tell us that she really is a House Dog and should be allowed in! We watched the cattle being fed extra hay. Close to visit other small villages around.
I will highly recommend this cottage for a break away from the city.

- Lorraine (9/5): Gorgeous cottage - Spacious self contained apartment. Warm and cosy. Everything you could need was supplied. Fresh eggs for breakfast along with cereals. It was home away from home. Full size equipped kitchen. Washing machine and dryer. Michelle was lovely and very accommodating and Zoe the dog was gorgeous. Would highly recommend and definitely stay here again. The only small negative is the tiles on the bathroom floor need replacing as not very inviting. Everything else was absolutely lovely.
- Brian (10/5): Stunning hillside setting half way between Cygnet and Huonville. - Birch Lane really is located in a beautiful setting on Cradoc Hill Rd in the Huon Valley. There really is a long ‘birch lane’ on arrival which takes you to a charming guest cottage. There is a well set up kitchen and cost sitting area in front of the heater. There is separate roomy bedroom and bathroom. There is lots of cupboard storage and a very comfortable bed! I want one😍 Thank you Michelle.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Comfort and calm.
- Janiece (10/5): Exceptional - Well appointed unit with everything needed for a get away from home. Great location between Cygnet and Huonville and easy to find. Spotlessly clean. Nothing I didn't like.
- Jane (8/5): Very good -

- Clive (8/5): Very good -
- Rex (10/5): A wonderful place to stay - A lovely property in the countryside, very comfortable, beautifully presented and maintained, in a very quiet location with lots of privacy. An ideal place to get away from it all, but a great small town called Cygnet not far away to enjoy fabulous coffee, lunches, check out the arts and crafts, and pick up supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Michelle was a wonderful host. We would certainly recommend the property to family and friends. No concerns at all.
- Craig (10/5): Fantastic stay, highly recommend anyone coming the Huon Valley to stay here - The location is great - nice and peaceful everything was just perfect.
Michelle was an excellent host, and we loved little Zoe (Little brown Dog) waiting to greet us on arrival. Everything was great
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Jacob (9/5): Superb -
- Karanvir (10/5): Exceptional - Michelle is a wonderful host and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The apartment is lovely, every detail has been looked at. We would have loved to stay longer if we could have. It's a 10+ !!
- Prue (10/5): The perfect place to stay in the Huon Valley. - This is an absolute gem. Beautiful comfortable suite in a lovely location, very easily accessible, close to both Huonville and Cygnet. Host Michelle made us very welcome and we appreciated all the little extras - nice breakfast offerings, plus lots of condiments etc. Great for self-catering. The electric fire is another nice touch, for a cosy feel. Undercover parking is a bonus and all at very reasonable rates. It is impossible to fault - although some additional glasses for water etc would be useful.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Lyn (9/5): Superb -
- Kaylene (10/5): Exceptional - We felt very welcomed in this lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
- Karen (8/5): Lovely countryside accommodation with a cute dog coming to visit - Clean accommodation. Beautifully furnished apartment with nice little touches and lovely light fittings, lovely fireplace and colourful flowering garden view from kitchen and living room. Nice pasture views from the bedroom and carport, there were even seats in the carport to enjoy the views. Very spacious bathroom and bedroom. Kitchen was very well-equipped. WiFi was excellent. It was nice having Zoe the little placid and cute dog come up to the living room doors in the morning, she was excited to go for a walk. Since we were travelling as a family of three, the Murphy bed (we found this to be quite common in our travels around Tasmania) was used – the small dining area in this one-bedroom apartment doubled up as a sleeping area at night and a dining area during the day – overall, this worked well. Nothing.
- Belinda (7/5): Good -
- Reinhard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gracey (9/5): Superb -
- Komi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (8/5): Very quiet , peaceful and restful . - Loved the spacious bathroom , the view from the bedroom , the little “ fire” , the compact nature .. The way the second “ fold out “ bed took up the kitchen/ cooking / eating space .
i wonder if it might be better if the couch was used as a fold out bed , facing away from the kitchen & eating area ?
- Gaspar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaylee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Kezza (10/5): Chill out Cottage - Everything, cute and clean, Zoe the dog to greet you, very chill. Breakfast is all ready for the morning, fresh milk, and extras in cupboard. Spacious and comfortable.
Cows and baby ducklings some sort down at dam. Flowers all around. Could not fault.
Very relaxing.
10 mins to Huonville, pick up dinner if you don't want to cook. Nothing.
- Theressa (10/5): Perfect 🤩 -
- Suzy (10/5): Fabulous - Our stay was fabulous. It’s a little corner of tranquility in the hill overlooking the river but close enough to Huonville for all your needs. Can grab cherries and berries. Bedroom is really pretty and bed so comfortable. Kitchen is great with everything needed to cook the fresh eggs awaiting you in the fridge plus other breakfast essentials.
Michelle our host was friendly and helpful. Mention to Zoe their little dog who visits you and walk around the property with. We liked everything. It more than we expected and lived up to our expectations
- Paul (9/5): Just was we needed, and very comfortable. - This was a great stay, just what we needed for one night on our way through the area. We were able to heat up some prepared food in the nice kitchen area. The bed was sweet - we slept well! The location/view was also very nice, it's a single room by itself overlooking a pasture area. No complaints at all!
- Gena (8/5): Ideal location and comforts for our brief visit to the area. - Cosy, comfortable, great breakfast provisions
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hazel (10/5): A Perfect Stay - We loved everything about our stay in this gorgeous cottage and would recommend it highly. It is the B&B we always hope to find but so seldom do . Thank you so much Michelle and thank you to your sweet dog Zoe for the morning visits and for keeping us company when we sat outside in the garden . Absolutely nothing to dislike .
- Nicole (10/5): A quaint and comfortable home away from home ❤️ - Perfect garden setting and everything we could possibly need for our stay ❤️
- Wendy (10/5): Picturesque with stunning rural views overlooking river. - It was in a rural setting N/A
- Toni (10/5): Great place to stay - The location was great, on a farm, not far from shops and restaurants.
Central location for exploring Huon Valley.
Very quiet. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Miranda (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (10/5): We loved this beautiful area in such a beautiful, peaceful place. - Birch Lane is s beautiful, spacious unit with everything there you could possibly require. The unit is in a beautiful part of Tasmania and set in beautiful gardens. It was an absolute joy to stay there. Michelle is a great host… very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here and I hope we can return soon to enjoy it again. Absolutely nothing!!
- Deborah (10/5): Perfect location for a stopover enroute to Bruny Island or just to check out the local area (Cygnet) - Everything about Birch Lane was perfect! Perfect host, perfect location, perfect atmosphere. We made a short trip into Cygnet and were delighted to find a perfect coastal/country town. Would highly recommend.
- Kathryn (10/5): An extremely comfortable cottage - We felt very comfortable from the moment we stepped foot in the cottage. It offered everything we needed for our short stay.
Host was close by if we needed her, but totally respected our privacy.
- Reginald (10/5): Our stay was comfortable and relaxing - The garden was an absolute delight and table and chairs were provided to sit outside. Everything was well thought out and the amenities provided were really nice. Everything was beautifully clean and the bed was super comfy There is nothing to dislike
- Helen (8/5): Very good - The view was beautiful, location was quiet and peaceful, communication with Michelle was perfect. The apartment had everything we needed and some extras as well. The apartment’s interior was thoughtfully furnished and supplied. The arrival and carport areas needed some TLC. Some comfortable seating under the carport to enjoy the beautiful view below would be great.
- Tiffany (10/5): Wonderful place - It is very comfortable, well organised and had everything we needed. Lovely garden area and great views out to farmland. The provisions for breakfast were great. Michelle is a very good host. Well located to explore the area.
- Norm (3/5): Pretty as a picture, but do not believe all you see - We had a lovely rural view and a nice garden at the front door. 1. Someone on site to attend to the problems we had. 2. A check of the amenities by the host before check-in i.e.. check that the eggs for breakfast were fresh (our's bobbed to the top and nearly jumped out of the pot) , enough butter and spreads were stocked and instant coffee provided (not everyone likes plunger coffee). 3. if cooking facilities are provided then some sort of oil to assist in frying (not everyone carries around cooking oil). 5. Usually a box tissues are provided ,not here. 6. No facewashes. 7. Streaming was advertised but after an hour and when it seems family members in the main house logged on it knocked the visitors access off, a call to the host provided no help at all for the rest of our 2 day stay. 8. Said replenishment of spreads on day 2 did not take place as promised. AND 9. On the morning of the 2nd day of departure I stepped into the shower to be met with NO hot water, we wonder again if the main house had used the hot water and left us freezing cold water.
At all times we were in contact with the host by phone, but the family onsite did not offer any assistance. In this instance it would have been better to have notified us of a problem with management and cancelled the booking or to have arranged someone to take control.
We did let the host know all of the above and the only help was we got 6 eggs on the first morning, for a 2 day stay it should have been 8 eggs.
We feel for the host, but business is business, we did suggest a monetary compensation to cover the short comings, but this has been ignored and no communication from the host's end had been forthcoming.
- Sheree (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent communication. Also Michelle went out of her way to accommodate everything we needed to have a successful stay with my neurodivergent relative. Nothing to dislike
- Moira (10/5): Beautiful peaceful place to stay - Beautiful location with stunning views. Spacious and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Everything has been thought of.
- Alan (9/5): We enjoyed a very relaxing stay due to the level of comfort and location. - Very comfortable, breakfast provisions were more than adequate. The scenery and the quietness of the location made it particularly enjoyable. Whilst acknowledging bathroom areas are always a challenge to keep clean, some attention to the walls and ceiling paint, the condition of the blind in the window near the washing machine and mould in the shower recess would go a long way to enhancing this accommodation.
- Steven (10/5): Relaxing and comfortable - Beautiful place everything anyone could want, very comfortable
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Our accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It has beautiful views and so much birdlife. Zoe the dog welcomed us on arrival, a nice touch. Nothing.
- Matt (9/5): Beautiful location very peaceful - Great to have the eggs and breakfast bits creates a nice welcoming feel to have breakfast Probably a little too many "rules"
Nothing was unreasonable in the expectations but just wanted to relax and not have to read an essay.
- Robert (10/5): Perfect base for exploring the Huon Valley - This is a beautiful cottage located next to the hosts’ house on a lovely rural farm setting. The cottage was extremely well set up for a fully self contained stay, including a washing machine and dryer, oven and stovetop and full sized fridge. It is about a 10 minute drive to Huonville in one direction and Cygnet in the other direction. The hosts were welcoming and easy to contact. The cottage was very comfortably furnished and not cluttered. We loved our 4 night stay- it was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Huon Valley.
- Angus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sidonie (8/5): Very good - The property was very clean and very comfortable and well appointed. The heating was on when I arrived and it was very cosy. The bed is so comfortable. The information folder provided includdd lots of details on local restaurants and walks. I had a lovely stay. Nothing
