- Niki (8/5): Lovely cottage, Stephanie the host, was amazing. Perfect for a quiet getaway but not recommended in - You definitely felt like you were in the country! Cottage was cute and kitchen was well equipped. I was there during the Victorian fires and my biggest concern was an inabilty to get fire and evavcualtion updates as there was very poor internet reception in the cottage.
- Autumn (10/5): -
- Atour (1/5): -
- Kat (10/5): - The homemade cupcakes and pizza were a lovely surprise and really delicious! I loved being able to holiday with my dog, who also had a great time checking out the garden while we were on site. Just lovely!
- Laurence (10/5): - Everything Nothing to dislike herr
- Emma (10/5): Excellent bush getaway with the dogs - Beautiful property. Had an amazing time and great for the dogs.
- Trish (9/5): -
- Abhisek (5/5): Very expensive for the tiny space provided and lack of basic amenities - The location and view In my booking confirmation it was mentioned to be a deluxe room but unfortunately it was a tiny room built in a cargo container. There was no microwave, complementary milk was absent, bathroom door could not be locked from outside, hence bathroom was open all the time, no exhaust fan in bathroom, no electric chimney in kitchenette, and most importantly internet connection was very poor, stayed mostly inaccessible.
- Adam (10/5): - The tiny home was so cozy and had everything you would need.
It was marvellous waking up with the view over the garden and the lake.
Stephanie was very friendly and helpful.
- Jane (10/5): very much recommended - It was very easy to stay there with comfortable furnishings and everything we needed.
- Jane (10/5): Highly recommended. - Perfect for our needs. This is a great place to relax. Quiet but with all the comforts you desire. Extras, such as chocolate fudge and little pizza were much appreciated.
- Cheryl (8/5): Very friendly hosts and Accommodation was nice.close to lots of different towns and really enjoyed bringing along the do - Loved that we could bring our dog and really enjoyed the orange juice squeezer and the lovely fudge that was left in our fridge. The bed was very comfortable Shower was cold and lots of ants and bugs
- Tiara (10/5): Wonderful country cottage - Lovely property. My family had a wonderful stay at Stephanie’s Cottages. We booked the two bedroom cottage and loved the large living areas and spacious bedrooms. The host Stephanie was so friendly and welcoming.
- Jill (10/5): Beautiful and very relaxing. - The property was beautiful. The accomodation was spacious and the enclosed garden for a 4 month old pup was perfect. Truly a pet friendly accomodation. A tiny little detail 2 chairs instead of one on the outdoor deck and for us a gate on the front deck overlooking the fields so our pup couldn’t be tempted to go for a wander.
- Rojek (9/5): Superb - Pizza, and choc slice.
Views from balcony
Studio clean and tastefully decorated
Wildlife (kangaroos and deer )
My mini fox terrier was made welcome Having to leave
- Jaime (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely loved staying in this gorgeous little gem, the views were amazing as well as Stephanie providing us with a beautiful vegan pizza for dinner!
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The tiny house was perfect for what we needed and very cosy!
- Matthew (9/5): Country close to the city - Stephanie and the location are both amazing. Accessible to the region and wineries. Very peaceful too. Lots of animals and country sounds.
- Caroline (9/5): Peaceful and remote, calming and rejuvenating. - We loved the location, inside the cottage was comfortable and inviting. There was a delicious fudge treat to welcome us and a homemade Pizza. Very clean and nicely laid out, wonderful king size bed, good kitchen facilities, with a large bedroom and great shower. Our lovely host Stephanie was a delight. Outdoor furniture was uncomfortable.
- Sajra (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing, calm chill weekend in the bush with kangaroos as neighbourss - Stephenie was a great host such a lovely lady and very welcoming. From the brownie to the pizza left in the fridge just very sweet and genuinely friendly.
- Kay (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return some time - The location was perfect for a quiet getaway but also close enough to Daylesford, Castlemaine, Maldon and Kyneton to enjoy the local area , discover some wonderful eateries , local shopping and some lovely scenery
- Anne (10/5): Gorgeous property - Beautiful property. Peaceful and quiet. Room was lovely and very comfortable. Pet friendly as well. Nothing really.
- Ross (9/5): Superb -
- Janey (10/5): Magical - Steph & Phillip provided treats by way of homemade vegetarian pizza (yum) and chocolate/marshmallow bites (omg they were delicious!) as a welcome. Both were very engaging and wanting only to ensure a happy experience with whatever was requested. Serene property; wonderfully thought out individual home stays with the best of provisions/decor. Tranquil grounds to walk amongst native fauna - just beautiful and restorative. No neighbours: no traffic : only blissful peace and quiet. A gem of a getaway!
- Simone (10/5): Lovely country stay! - We loved our stay here. It was a wonderful country vibe and Stephanie was very welcoming. The pizza and fudge were delicious, our dog joined us on our stay and had a great time. Beautiful views, very peaceful. Perfect weekend away to reset. -
- Cara (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (9/5): Great host and exceptional cottage. Very relaxing. - Such a gorgeous, cosy cottage. It was literally freezing while we were there. The reverse cycle heating, log fire and electric blanket kept us warm as toast. Great base for day trips exploring the area. The kangaroos, deer, ducks and geese kept us amused. Lovely stroll around the property. Bring good walking shoes if you like that kind of thing.
The welcome potato and garlic pizza and the home made fudge were delicious!
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous, peaceful setting. Kangaroos at dawn and dusk.
- Bernadette (10/5): Country escape - Located in a beautiful part of Victoria, 30 minutes away from Daylesford and Kyneton. The country air and view of large trees, native creatures and a place to bring our fury friend. Stephanie has out done herself with her cottages, she has thought of everything comfort and detail. There are other cottages on the property but they are far apart from the others. We stayed at the one bedroom cottage (see images). We had the perfect holiday and made it extra special to enjoy with our Golden girl Phoebe. We will be back for round 2, we feel very relaxed and unwound from busy Melbourne. n/a
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely stay in cute cottage - Friendly host. Cosy cottage. Good facilities. Lovely view with local animals and kangaroos on property Unsure if it was listed like this but 2 bedroom cottage, second bedroom was upstairs which I was unaware of.
- Stephanie (10/5): Can’t wait to return! - Stephanie does a wonderful job with her property. The cottages are charming and comfortable. Stephanie is hospitable and generous. The location is relaxing and picturesque.
- Dianne (10/5): A little gem to refresh the soul - The setting is perfect to escape and enjoy the beauty of nature around you Didnt have time to spend a few more days there
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ilankaikone (9/5): Very cozy cottage - spotless, warm fireplace, comfy bed and friendly owner. - We stayed at the one-bedroom cottage, which was spotless, and had a generously sized bedroom and bathroom. The dwelling was equipped with a split-system air-conditioner, but we used the wood fireplace making it very cozy on the cold winter nights we spent there. The bathroom looked new, had a big shower area and the water temperature and pressure were great. Our pup was happy there - she ran around off-leash in the fenced backyard and even explored beyond the perimeter on-leash.
- David (10/5): Amazing get away fantastic service - Everything Nothing
- Kher (8/5): Excellent and enjoyable stay - It’s was a spacious home and very clean. Stephanie was excellent and she showed us around the cottage and give us recommendations where we should go around the area. None
- Rosa (10/5): Lovely, relaxing getaway - I stayed in the one bedroom cottage close to the lake. It's lovely, bright and very clean, nicer and larger than it appears in the photos. It has a back porch where I often sat to enjoy the views and relax in the serene atmosphere.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and easy to reach if you need help.
Thank you, Stephanie, for the pizza and brownies 😊
Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much and will go back for a longer stay.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Low (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!
The hosts were exceptional - we felt like friends visiting
- Mandy (10/5): Lovely and relaxing - This weekend away was a gift for my daughter and her partner, they loved it. They had so much praise for the accomodation, the surroundings and of course Stephanie who was very welcoming. The location was also very easy to get to and close to lovely places to visit. Would highly recommend. Thank you Stephanie for sharing such a wonderful place.
- Barnett (10/5): Fantastic place to stay, Stephanie is really friendly, the apartment was beautiful. -
- Julia (9/5): Superb -
- Renee (10/5): was lovely place to stay very homey, clean and pleasant!! - it was lovely and homely, very pleasant to stay in !!
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Heidi (10/5): You will want the pizza recipe! - Warm welcome upon arrival from Philip and even by phone from Stephanie, yummy home made pizza and fudge, spacious and clean living areas, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom with ample bench space, picturesque outlook, plenty of comfortable places to relax inside and outside, roos, ducks, geese and views. So much to love. Dog friendly with a secure yard, fireplaces for cold winter nights and two big reverse cycle airconditioners for summer. Was also an additional large bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
Theres even a big dipper to get your adrenalin rush and give the kids a thrill on the road there from Malmsbury! Im used to noise of a tv to go to sleep to so the wind and house noises took some getting used to. This isn't a fault of the place, just a personal preference. Gave me an opportunity to read my book instead. 🙂
There wasnt anything I didnt like. Will be back for sure.
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (10/5): We were warmly greeted by Stephanie on arrival and relaxed in our stunning suite with magical views - beautiful spot with only the birds for noise
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Loved staying here & would definitely stay again if in the area. - Beautiful gardens, cottage was very well appointed, spacious, everything was thought of.
Both Stephanie & Philip went above & beyond. They were both very warm & welcoming.
They provided freshly ground coffee beans for the coffee machine, home made fudge as well as pizza. Exceptional service.
- Jankees (10/5): The perfect place to go for a relaxing weekend away from it all! - Stephanie's cottages are an idyllic choice in a rural setting, not too far from Daylesford, Castlemaine and Kyneton.
We had the apartment in the main house: very comfortable, very quiet and very well equipped. Probably best to have lunch out and make a simple dinner at home , so you can avoid the country roads at night. Plenty of space to walk around the property, plenty of wildlife and nice plants. Stephanie and Phil are perfect hosts. Not surprising for a remote location, the internet was very slow. Something that should not worry you on holiday, but good to know if you plan to download any large documents, or something like that.
- Janet (9/5): I'd recommend Stephanie's to any of my friends who want a quiet, relaxing stay. - Meals were not provided in this package but we were welcomed with a pizza and some sweet goodies. Stephanie was very welcoming and helpful.
The setting was delightful - beautiful scenery and very quiet. For a long stay, a few more kitchen implements - bowls for salad and mixing and egg beater would have been helpful.
- Anonymous (8/5): great place to relax and enjoy nature. - quiet, clean air. friendly. lovely rooms.
- Jinah (9/5): Beautiful countryside with peaceful nature - Location and nature. We were greeted by Kangaroos every morning and late afternoon. Inside the cottage, there is an old style fire with real woods and it’s not easy to start the fire, but once you have the fire, it’s healing to look at. Shower drainage was somewhat blocked and the water overflew each time I had shower. From the cottage pictures, I expected bath tub, but the cottage we stayed only had shower. So it would be better if Stephanie clarifies each accomodation with either bath tub or shower. Inside the cottage was quite cold at night due to heavy rain too, but the fire place kept us warm. Inside the bed was pretty cold due to crispy cotton linen (would be great for summer) and quite heavy bedding. Stephanie had very comfy bed gowns and it would have been perfect if bedding was similarly warm and light weight.
- Beverly (9/5): Superb - Perfectly located to explore Kyneton, Daylesford, Mt. Macedon, Castlemaine & of course, Drummond. The cottage is cosy, stylish & well equipped. Set on a beautiful peaceful property with Stephanie being a very warm & welcoming host to us & our dogs. Would highly recommend! Nothing!
- Bryce (8/5): Very good - There is a lot to like when staying at Stephanie’s Country Cottages.
We stayed in the Homestead and loved it.
The location is great and it was really nice to relax on deck and look out at the surrounding bush.
Stephanie was a great host and made our stay enjoyable.
We will be going back there again 100%.
- Sanna (10/5): Exceptional -
