- jialu (9/5): It has an Italian atmosphere, close to the bus platform, and the accommodation environment is good - There is free coffee and candy,
- Alexander (9/5): - Excelente todo

- Herman (8/5): Stunning old building and friendly staff - Exceptional lobby, nice big room Old fashioned windows (not good for mosquitoes!)

.
A very beautiful historic villa, everything is very clean and tidy — this is a big plus. The bed is comfortable. However, there is a major downside — the room is very cold. We stayed on March 28–29. The room was cold. The windows are thin and do not close tightly. The radiator was cold. We had to use three blankets and sleep in socks 🥶

- Oksana (7/5): Good, but cold in autumn - Nice host Angela, near the apartments there are laundry, big supermarket and several public transport stops It was cold at nights
- Federica (8/5): -

- Schneider Cresta (8/5): -
- Boschetti (8/5): - Pulizia e indipendenza Distanza dal centro città
- Diabo (8/5): Very good except for above mentioned - Location Difficulty communicating with owner through Booking.com to get access for door keys
- Madeleine (5/5): -
- Romev (6/5): - The room is big, and clean, the beed is okay. The place is a 20 minute walk to the tramp station.
It is very noisy at night from traffic outside.
We were in July and there was no AC in the room. It was very hot.
You don't have any shops or restaurants nearby.
There are no signs of the property and it was difficult to fund the place.
- Marysa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucrezia (9/5): Superb -
- Tetiana (9/5): Superb - Easy to get to the city center and railway station. Lovely old house with historical charm. Very clean rooms. We didn't appreciate that the host was into our room and took our laundry while we were in the city.
Wi-Fi signal was really bad at our room.
- Samara (8/5): Very comfortable and clean, 10 minutes walk to nearest tr station. Make sure you take some food for breakfast especially - Very clean
Beautiful building It’s advertised as breakfast included. However no breakfast is included, there is a kitchen where you can take breakfast but only a coffee machine available to use
Very misleading
- Dillon (7/5): Good - Quiet
- Doris (8/5): Very good - The house is superb and clean - the entrance room has mediterranean architecture. There is coffee available in the mornings, and we had a private bathroom. The matress was comfortable, and the shades could be closed to make it completely dark inside, so we slept very well. Sheets and towels were comfortable and clean. The room was quite cold, and we couldn't figure out whether and how we could turn on the heat. We weren't cold under the blanket, but in the morning it was quite a hit (we were there during april, so that might explain it a bit). The bathroom was private, but outside the room, in a common hallway (we saw external bathroom in the description, but weren't sure what it meant). The walls are quite thin, we could hear people in the morning in the kitchen, so we woke up two times because of the noise. Also, it is quite far from the city center, it usually took us about 40 minutes to go there, but public transportation is close.
- Kaja (5/5): Won’t be coming back - Free parking beside the building and a very lovely hallway entrance on the first floor. It’s quite a distance to the city center. The owner’s mother accepted us and we were lucky I speak highschool Italian, otherwise it’d be quite difficult, although there’s still Google Translate. She was then continuously invading our privacy by coming in our room and setting up our bed, even though we never asked for it nor expected it. On our last day she entered the room with her set of keys without knocking, even though she could hear we were getting ready to depart. Luckily we were both dressed, but that doesn’t change the fact that she was entering the spaces without permission. We checked out at exactly 10 am, as stated in the booking, so we weren’t breaking any policy rules. The shower head in the room with the private bathroom is completely broken and you cannot get clean properly. We tried taping it all around and on one of the occassions she entered without permission, saw our improvisation, and insisted we return it to the previous state. When I explained it’s broken she insisted it’s not. I then showed her the flow is basically nonexistent. She just shrugged and smiled. You can hear every single thing from the joint hallway. There was no breakfast either, only coffee, so it doesn’t really qualify for B&B. The mother also smokes in the joint rooms and that might be an issue for asthmatics etc.
- Natali (9/5): Very pleased with the accommodation - The location was great, bus stop and overground were just minutes walking. The house is lovely and Angela is a great host 🫶. Our bed was cosy and big enough. There’s a coffee machine and microwave, fridge and sink, that’s the kitchen. Weak WiFi signal in the house. Nice house and hope to be back soon with my family. Missing plates and kettle, weak WiFi.
- Dianna (7/5): Good - The place was charming to me. The bed was very comfortable. I like old character places. There was a good coffee machine that made americano coffee from ground beans. The bathroom was across a large open area separate from our room. We do prefer a private bathroom. There was one but it was taken. A B and B could have a muffin or a croissant in the morning.
- Tanya (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - Property is in the middle of nowhere. There is NO breakfast. Old Italian lady walks into your room without knocking or anything so no privacy. She came in and started shouting in Italian as she doesn’t speak English. She did this again when we were leaving for dinner shouting out the window. After we went out she came into our room to move things around and took our cleaner wipes. Wifi doesn’t work. Place is NOT smoke free. You can’t smoke but the old Italian lady smokes in the place. Place is over priced and owners are being cheap pretending they’re a bed & breakfast.
- Raquel (10/5): Exceptional - The place is gorgeous and the host is such a sweet iconic lady.
- Paul (4/5): Nice building, it might be good if I had reason to be in that area but not for tourism in Florence. - Charming building. Security was good though it meant carrying 4 keys. Bed was comfortable and it was very clean. On-street parking was free and generally easily available. Despite the name being "Bed and Breakfast La Tavernetta" there is no breakfast. There is a kitchen available with a coffee machine that worked well and was included but no sign of breakfast. No air conditioning so this meant leaving the windows wide open. That was ok but the mosquitos. The mosquitos! We had bites on our arms and faces for 5 days and sleep wasn't easy with the BUZZ BUZZ. the hallways were large but with hard surfaces so anybody walking in the building created echoes. It was also a bit remote. Perhaps the proprietor could provide simple instructions on using Florence transit to help.
- Bahram (8/5): As I mentioned is very difficult to explain, can not communicate if you don’t speak Italian. !!! - Was unique some how very different Distance to public transport and shop
- Gloria (8/5): Very good - I lake the was clean, I don't like was that is it far to the center
- Johannes (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable WiFi was not great
- Pedro (9/5): Very clean and comfortable - It was clean and the kitchen well equipped good. It has tables, chairs, and refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and the room had a balcony. It's a 15 min walk from the trainbus, so it's a considerable walk if you have a lot of luggage. You also need to step up a couple of stairs to get to the rooms.
- Chris (9/5): Super clean, quiet away from town. - The room was large and the facilities including the shared common kitchen area were spotless always. The host at the property was attentive to our questions. The property was a bit far from the down town sights. And we didn’t get a chance to figure out public transportation. A taxi was almost $20 each way. The other challenge for us was that the host did not speak English at all which made for some fun communication during check in. But it all worked out just fine.
- Chewbacken (7/5): Our stay in La Tavernetta - Although our host couldnt speak english, we were treated nicely.
The beds are comfortable.
The price was pretty good. The bathroom of our room was on the other side of the floor (we booked the room that way), that was a little weird.
The doors are loud and you hear a lot of noises through the walls. Unfortunately our neighbours were quite loud in the shared kitchen.
Also the distance to the next tram station was quite big (20 min walk)
- Maria (10/5): Would recommend - Angel was such a good host. The house was beautiful, the bathroom was clean and the rooms were big
- H. (8/5): Very good - Bathroom was large and not shared
Nice location Too cold in the room, specifically at night, the bathroom was separate on the other side of the hall
- Taia (7/5): Good - Both the room and the bathroom were clean The bathroom was outside the bedroom so we had to go through the reception hall to get there, the host didn't speak English which made communication very difficult. There was only one shower gel and two soaps in the bathroom. There were many mosquitoes in the room
- Emilis (10/5): Exceptional - Recommend to everyone! Stayed here for 2 nights, we took the bus and tram to the city center, very comfortable! Very pleasant and helpful host! Only the best memories!
- Angeliki (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly hostess, clean rooms, very nice house close to the tram station.
- Bradford (10/5): Exceptional -
- Perron (9/5): Superb -
- Anomisk (8/5): Very good -
- Cristian (9/5): Superb -
- Ram (8/5): Very good -
- Eduard (9/5): Superb -
- Hovsep. (7/5): Okay - Room was okay, the staff didn't speak much English. Room was perfectly clean. Location
- Georgina (10/5): Beautiful Florence - We like everything. The host was very kind and friendly. The venue was a bit far from the city.
- Caleb (4/5): Nice property, shame about the host - The room itself was spacious and comfortable. Private external bathroom was also spacious and clean. The rating of this property largely reflects the female host, because the property itself is actually really nice and we would have otherwise enjoyed our stay. The host did not speak English at all and gave us a tour in Italian which we didn't understand a word of. She seemed a little frustrated we didn't speak Italian, despite the property details advertising English being spoken. The host slapped my partner on the bottom twice - the intention of this may have been playful but is inappropriate nonetheless. The property is advertised as non-smoking but the host smoked continuously throughout the day, including when entering our room (which occurred multiple times). We found it hard to relax there so stayed out as much as possible. Location could also be better to the city centre.
- Dephné (7/5): Beautiful room but big no for the facilities - Beautiful house, clean room, very friendly Wifi is provided but the signal doesn't reach the room. There was no airconditioning but a ventilator while the airconditioning is being advertised. This is definitely not the same.. Bummer.. definitely in a heart wave
- Edward (2/5): made to feel deeply uncomfortable by the host - The property was clean The actual B&B is ran by the owners mother and not him. He seemed fairly nice on the phone however his mother was quite different. When we first arrived she seemed friendly even though we didn’t speak Italian however that soon changed over the course of our stay.
She started to become annoyed at us for not being able to communicate with her and shouting at us for various things we could not understand. she even entered our locked room unannounced with her key while we were inside to tell us to switch of a bedside table light which was a huge privacy violation and which she did not apologise for. on another occasion she proceeded to kick my girlfriend “playfully” for leaving an empty packet in the kitchen by accident - I don’t think she meant any harm but it was very un professional and made us both feel uncomfortable.
she smokes through out the property all day - since my girlfriend has asthma this was an issue for us. To sum up she made our stay very uncomfortable and we spent most our time away from the house and avoiding her when inside.
furthermore breakfast is not provided for and the host does not speak English as the website described.
- Bruna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jaen (8/5): Very good -
- Grieves (8/5): Very good -
- Patrick (3/5): If you can’t speak Italian then I do not recommend - The property was exceptionally clean and surrounded by lots of greenery with a beautiful balcony (although there were no chairs for the balcony). The lady that runs the B&B will make your bed everyday and give the room a quick clean which is appreciated. The linen provided was of good quality which made for a comfortable sleep (the pillows were a bit thin though). There’s a really nice grocery store close by which has everything that you could ever wish for. We also managed to find a self service laundromat, coffee shop and park around the corner from where we stayed. The property is currently being run by the owner’s mother who, at first, seemed like a nice old lady but as soon as you stay for longer you realize otherwise.
The host does not speak a word of English, which I guess can be expected as it is Italy after all, but she does appear to get quite frustrated with you for not understanding her (as much as you try). The property is supposed to be non-smoking but she smokes throughout the house. It often smelled of cigarettes in the morning as she cleaned. We had hoped to make sandwiches for lunch before we headed out to visit Florence’s beautiful sights, but that turned out to be more of a challenge than we thought. The plates and bowls were locked up but you do have access to cutlery all day (probably only because the drawers don’t have locks). Trying not to upset the host, we bought disposable plates and bowls for our stay. She also does not like you eating in the room so if you plan on having any meals there then don’t. We actually felt like we were being watched like a hawk and it made our stay quite uncomfortable as we always felt like we may upset the old lady. In fact, we were blamed for making scratches in one of her kitchen tables. We don’t think it was us, but if it was, we sincerely apologize. Lastly, the internet was very temperamental and struggled with general internet use.
Overall, we found our stay extremely uncomfortable and we avoided the properly as much as we could because of it. We do think there was a cultural clash as we only speak English. Personally, I would not recommend staying here if you don’t speak any Italian. Perhaps one night, but no more.
- Mario (8/5): Great location if u have a car super clean super friendly - quietness and free parking lot across the street no breakfast, they should serve at least muffins and yogurt
- Varun (5/5): Passable - The place was nice and the rooms were clean. The location of the places is far from the train station. The hosts mother runs the places and speaks only Italian so communicating is a problem and the rooms are cleaned even without notice our things were re arranged without our permission.
- Houda (10/5): Exceptional - The owner Angela is great. The price is very good and the room extremely clean. I haven't had the breakfast. By walk it is very cheap to go to florence 1. 50 euros. On the way there is a lidl which was very convenient. The walk is approx 15 min from frediriga. I will go back. None
- Yana (8/5): Very good - Very nice host. The building itself is old and interesting.
Comfortable room.
- Moshe (2/5): the house was a period charming house. an outside trough brought back memories of the 50’s when my mother used a similar - charming heritage building only breakfast was allowed in the communal kitchen, but there was no kettle to boil water, only by microwave can you get hot water. while taking my food out of the fridge, the owner asked me to hurry as the fridge was losing its coldness. while our door was open she also switched off our lights. there are no shops or restaurants nearby. the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
- David (10/5): Everything was perfect! - The staff were super helpful since the moment we arrived. Everything was neat and cozy for the nights there. The nonna was really sweet and made us feel as any grandchildren when they go to their grandparent's house.
The tram was a 17mins walk from the place and the bus stop 2mins away. There are supermarkets, restaurants and pasticceria close by, for anything you might need.
We were glad to stay here and invite others to do the same! --
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -

- redroselass2014 (10/5): Charming B&B, amenable hosts, quiet location - We had a four night stay here and this B&B was a recommendation from Espresso Academy Coffee and Barista School. It was reasonably priced, and ours was a delightful double room, lots of light and elegantly furnished. We discovered on this visit to Firenze that breakfast here is not as substantial as what's considered breakfast in other European countries. So for your breakfast if you would like more than coffee and a pastry/ joghurt, then head to the shop and stock up.
B&B was easy to find and get to, from Firenze centre, with transit plus a little walk.
Hosts were amenable, the place was very clean and well-kept. Can recommend and would stay again.
