Pan casero, fruta, budín, café y té, las opciones pra desayunar. Me asesoro para iniciar el Trekk, saliendo desde Tilcara a Casa Colorada y hasta Calilegua. Recomendaciones y demás. Impecable. Recomendable.

• Ariel (8/5): Cómodo para estar de paso - La atención de quienes nos recibieron en ese momento, Mariana y Mauricio. También la ubicación, no subís nada, y estás cerca de la plaza y de la terminal. Hay mascotas ♥️ por lo menos a mi me gustan (2 gatitoa y 1 perro). El desayuno es bueno, pero gracias a quienes nos atendieron en ese momento 👏 El agua para bañarse estaba muy caliente y sólo se podía ducharse de tarde/noche. Se podría mejorar las instalaciones en general, los detalles, tipo, tener enchufes en las camas de arriba de las cuchetas, o lámparas, ese tipo de detalles.
• Selene (10/5): - La cama era muy cómoda. La habitación muy bonita, son mejores que en fotos. La ubicación está bastante cerca de la terminal y del centro. El wifi anda bien. Hay gatitos en el Hostel viviendo ahí. El desayuno no es tal cual la foto. Los chicos se esfuerzan pero creo que quizás no habría que cortar la fruta, porque se oxida muy rápido. No había detergente, y había huéspedes resfriados. A mí no me parece higiénico. Pero seguro fue sustancial del momento. Limpian todos los días muy bien.

• Anonymous (10/5): Charming hostel in central Tilcara - Charming hostel in very central Tilcara, only a 10 minute walk away from the bus station. We loved spending time with the resident dog and cats, and the host was lovely and super helpful. Breakfast was delicious - we wish we could make eggs like that! Despite being almost winter, the heater in the room meant we were perfectly cosy. Thank you!!

The hostel is beautiful, centrally located and easy to find, it has a good social space and a little rooftop perfect for a bit of yoga. Amazing breakfast with homemade bread, this is one of my favourite hostels in Argentina. Thank you!

• Jan (10/5): Charming Stay in Tilcara - We had a lovely time in Tilcara. Matthias is an amazing host. The hostel is really sweet and super clean. There is a huge kitchen with everything you need (including oil and spices which was great). The breakfast was the highlight. Every day Matthias makes fresh bread which is served with your choice or eggs, cream cheese, or dulce de leche. There is also fruit, granola and tea and coffee on offer. Nothing was all amazing!
• Ingus (10/5): Amazing - This hostel is amazing! The host is really friendly and it is in a good location relative to the main sights in Jujuy! The breakfast was also really filling and tasty! I would recommend it to anyone going to Jujuy! A magical place surrounded by magical nature needs great accommodation!

• Jonathan (10/5): Loving and familiar hostel - If you want a personal and more a familiar feeling in the hostel this is the place to stay. Mattias the owner is a very loving and caring person. This is the first time in whole Argentina I get a very good breakfast. I can not eat gluten but that wouldnt stop Mattias from getting me a good breakfast. He would bake gluten free bread just for me and he even went and bought a new mixer so he could make me hummus :D He also have a fun and very active son of 3 years who live in the hostel. There is also a loving former street dog that now lives in the hostel. And there are 2 cats. The animals loves to be patted and cared for :) It is very easy to meet and socialise with the backpackers in the hostel as the hostel is not to big.

• Rok (7/5): Good - The hostel is OK for one night stay. Owners are nice people and very helpful with all the advice traveller would need. They make a very good breakfast (for the price). We were the only clients staying there so there was no problems with bathroom availability, i guest this could be different when hostel is full. The 4-year old child of the owners was a little upset when we arrived and kicked my partner in the leg. So beware:)
• Iris (10/5): Excellent stay - Really lovely atmosphere. The owner makes fresh bread / cookies for breakfast and puts a lot of work into making the hostel feel homey. The owner was able to accommodate gluten free. There is a kitchen for cooking and a nice rooftop for relaxing. I really felt like I was living in a home for a few days, which was a nice complement to the relaxed atmosphere in Tilcara. Would definitely recommend. The hostel is in what's essentially rural Argentina, so the amenities are what you might expect for a rural dwelling (e.g., no vent over the stove for cooking, open air construction). Also, there was a window gap over the door of my shared room outside of the living room/dining area that didn't close, so when people would stay up late socializing in that area, it was hard to block out the noise. Bring earplugs!

• Luma (10/5): Exceptional - We spend two amazing days at Tilcara Hostel. Kata had made us feel at home from the beggining. We were welcomed with juice and homemade cake. We also shared a wonderful dinner with her and the other guests. The breakfast is homemade (bread,cakes, cookies) and is delicious ! • Aisha (10/5): awesome vibes, the best hostel in Argentina - I stayed at Tilcara Hostel for a week and really enjoyed my stay there. The hostel is in the perfect location, a 5 minute walk to the bus terminal and main plaza, yet far enough to be quiet. Kadda and Matthias were kind and welcoming hosts and made me feel right at home. The facilities were so clean, I saw them cleaning at least once every day! The included breakfast was filling and the freshly baked banana bread that Kadda made daily was THE BEST. I loved the vibe of the hostel, the music, and especially the terraces and rooftop. Tilcara hostel was my favorite hostel in Argentina, and I hope to return one day. I will cherish my time there and the people that I met. Gracias por todo!! the wifi was slow and sometimes didn’t work in the room, but apart from than that everything was great
• Juan (10/5): Look no further in Tilcara, this is THE place - Incredibly friendly staff (Cata and Diego) that make you feel like a friend from the moment you check in and are always there to help in any way and engage in conversation. The room is very spacious and the bed/pillow really comfortable, much much better than in most hostels. Breakfast is also incredible: eggs cooked to your liking, freshly baked bread and puddings/muffins/cookies, fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade granola, etc etc. Very nice patio with a hammock and a terrace to watch the sky and a bbq if you feel like cooking under the stars. Cata also cooks dinner every night (vegan/vegetarian) and is more than happy to make more for any guest that is tempted…super tasty, healthy and impossibly low price. 100% recommended

• Mark (8/5): Very good - The volunteer staff were so friendly and helpful with recommendations. The accommodation was very clean, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook and the breakfast that was included in the piece was tasty and included scrambled eggs and fruit. Shower water was hot and the beds were comfortable. There was a big ratio of volunteer staff to guests staying at the hostel, so even though they were nice and friendly, at times it did feel like we were guests in their space which could feel a bit uncomfortable. They could be quite loud too.

• Jared (7/5): Good Value for Tilcara - Comfortable bed & clean bathroom, great breakfast, perfect location. Wifi is hit or miss in the rooms (common area okay). Some rooms are loud as the common area is heavily used by staff/volunteers until quiet hours of 11:30pm (during my 3 nights)

The smaller bathroom of the two was very hard to shower in, the shower head wouldn’t stream water and when it did oscillated between cold and scalding hot. The shower also had difficulty draining for a long time

• Gabriele (9/5): lovely hostel, super friendly, nice ambiance - súper friendly owner and staff, great ambiance, lovely outside courtyard, breakfast offered eggs (nice change). plenty of blankets in the room to keep warm. Pretty central, close to market, some shops and cafés/restaurants; nice family atmosphere water in the shower was sometimes difficult to adjust, changed from boiling to cold; no sofas indoors (in the cold weather would be nice to have some comfortable common areas inside). the 2 small sofas were constantly used by the 3 dogs.

We were off season, so it was quite and we had a room for ourselves. Bathroom clean and nicely decorated. Angel (staff) was super friendly and very helpful!!

Carolina, Nico and Camilo (and their dogs) are a very cute family and they make you feel right at home. the breakfast was very complete for Argentinan standards and the hostel is located very well in the center of Tilcara. • Ingmar (6/5): Pleasant - Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and a possibility to use the kitchen refrigerator. Rates in Tilcara are excessive. The hostel room charge was a lot higher than the cost of a room in a fair two-star hotel in Salta.
