Guest Reviews
- Brenda (10/5): - Mark and Lauralee were very gracious in answering our many questions. The house was wonderfully appointed and they made us feel very comfortable. Wela'lioq Nothing, it was all great.
- Kelly (10/5): Everyone was very friendly, the place was spotless. - The food was fantastic, as well as conversation around the dining table. Homemade jams were delicious.
- Ward (8/5): Unique experiend. It worked well for us, but it's not for those who want privacy. - This was a pretty unique experience. If you like a place with a lot of interaction, this is a great opportunity. Many rooms did not have a private bath and people spend most of their time in common areas. We were in the one private room with a private bath. The breakfast was great and we had a good animated discussion with the guests around the table. Even though we were in a private room, noise travels around the building. People were respectful and everyone went to bed on time, but there's a little concern that you could be overheard from your room. We spent a very good night, but this might not be a setting that everyone would want.
- Ron and Elma (9/5): Beautiful spot and location! Very quiet! - Nice location! Beautiful home, comfortable beds. The Inn keeper was very friendly! Breakfast was good! Considering we were on a farm where pigs are raised, it would have been nice to have bacon/sausages along w the eggs!
First time staying at a B&B where we never met the owners. I made a mistake with the wrong room and would have like to apologize in person. Not as personable as the feeling I got from website!
- Denis (10/5): - Accueil le service, belle ambiance
- Ingrid (10/5): We komen een volgende keer graag terug - De sfeer, de warme ontvangst en de gezellige woonkamer met keuken.
- John (6/5): - Staff good. Owner is a hurry
- Leslie (9/5): LOVE that it sits on a small working farm! - Breakfast was both lovely and delicious. And we were accommodated with our gluten free request
- Antalan (10/5): - Very nice and quiet place. Room size is decent. Ingrid prepared delicious breakfast for us and we enjoyed our conversation with her. I surely recommend this place to friends.
- Georges (8/5): - Unit as described, very nice and comfortable, great breakfast, had great chat with the innkeeper Ingrid. Stairs to the upstairs room are quite steep - not great with knee issues.
- Larry (10/5): - All good.
- Caroline (10/5): Delightful and comfortable Band B, charming hosts, delicious breakfast. - A charming, comfortable B and B. Lovely room , with great bath tub and balcony! Laura Lee was very welcoming and sweet Ingrid gave use a delicious breakfast with most ingredients from the farm . A really interesting place . Laura Lee and Mark work so hard to make this a special place. Thank you.

- Blair (10/5): - Property is neat as a pin and my room was great. First class breakfast. Great host. If I ever come back to this area I wouldn’t hesitate to book there again I’ve got nothing bad to say. Property was perfect for me. Only thing that might affect people is no cable tv.
- Cui (10/5): - The room was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and tidy. It had almost everything we needed — it truly felt like a second home. Outside, there was a farm with animals and a very adorable cat. The host, Ingrid, was very friendly and saved breakfast for us even we got up late. Homemade jam was tasty. Nothing.
- Heather (10/5): -
- Joseph (8/5): So close to perfect. - Hosts were super nice, animals were accessible. Unfortunately one of the three rooms had the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. This would have been a 10/10 experience but that mattress and no sleep unfortunately soured it a bit. Would still recommend to anyone.
- Olivia (10/5): Unique farm stay experience - The owners' idea of combining farming with tourism.

- E. (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jinjin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camille (10/5): Exceptional - The place is super cute, fully equiped which was very convenient for the end of our stay in NL. Not all rooms are very large, but our suite with the bathroom was andit was perferct for us and all our luggage (it's the sunset suite, if you travel with a lot of stuff I'd recommend toget this room). Lauralee is exceptional, and breakfast was great! Nothing!
- Qing (10/5): Very good experience - Very good experience no

- Josh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Eli (8/5): Very good -
- Gordon (10/5): Experience a working farm - Such great hosts. The setting on a farm was so great. Breakfast produced by Laura Lee was awesome. It's close to Deer Lake, so good to go there for supper. Absolutely nothing. Recommend it highly.
- Brian (10/5): Didn’t stay because of booking.com screw up, but owners helped us find another local place to stay!! - Ok, so a last minute stay was booked. Booking.com screwed up and over booked! The owners went above and beyond to help us find another b and b to stay at! Great service!! Thanks.
- Neureuter (9/5): absolutely recommended, charming and beautiful - we had a very warm welcome, excellent room, kitchen well equipped, we felt like at home. strong recommendation. many thanks . not so easy to find
- Jwg (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was very good! Very friendly owner!
- Lorraine (10/5): Loved the B&B experience of meeting our hosts and sitting down at breakfast with other guests - It was exactly as described and was in a lovely rural setting lots of common room space There were no window coverings on the 2 small windows and the balcony door so the room was very bright at 5 in the morning
- Colleen (6/5): I’d stay again with a few dietary changes. - There should be options for diabetic guests. We can’t eat white bread, cereal, sugar yogurt etc. The fiddleheads were a nice addition to the plate but minuscule portion. One grape tomato on each plate seemed a bit frugal as well. If the fiddleheads are grown locally, add more to the plate! Soap dispenser in bathroom was empty. Hostess was nice, Oscar the on sit mouser was awesome & friendly The food selection & portion size. Bacon is produced on site, please give at least a couple nice size pieces. Local coffee was awesome but maybe have cream as an option, not just milk.
- Roger (9/5): Wonderful farm to fork food experience with a unique and engaging story telling experience telling - Yes
Owners were very welcoming and friendly Nothing
- Gerald (9/5): Quiet stay in the Upper Humber Valley. - The home was very comfortable and Lauralee was very welcoming. Being early in the tourism season and with her substitute teaching, as well as running the farm, we told her we did not need her to cook breakfast (which she would have done) but she made sure we had plenty of breakfast supplies to cook for ourselves…even duck eggs and their own prepared bacon…delicious! The location was quiet and close enough to Deer Lake to be convenient. It was also a good jumping off place to head to Gros Morne. Unfortunately, due to our not reading close enough, (it does say this on the website… our fault) we did not realize the kitchen was shared. This turned out to be just fine as the other guests were very nice and we had a fine time with them. The sitting room and the only television were shared as well. If you are looking for good wi-fi, forget it, it was very spotty. But, you should not really be online too much in this environment when the focus should be outdoors.
- Shyam (9/5): Superb -
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Sylvie (10/5): We were there for 4 marvelous days and evening with owners and guests in a ´almost in the family’ atmosphere. - The house is like brand new. The owners are freindly, inspired people with a dream. Laura speaks french and is generous with her informations, stories and ´neufonies’ . Leaving too early.
- Elizabeth (9/5): wish we had stayed longer....and Lorelei was so interesting...wish we could have seen more local - Lovely breakfast,,,entailed some preparation by us but we were so happy to be able to use the kitchen and
to be able to obtain fresh delicious veg from our hosts garden. If there had been more guests it might have been less private...but we had to house to ourselves and that was
wonderful...more than we bargained for.
- Danny (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): I would recommend this B&B because of its comfort, friendly owners, location, and just the fun of being on a working - I was so impressed that the owners run a B&B, manage the farm, and she is a substitute teacher. I loved all the animals on the farm.
- Robert (9/5): Loved our time here - would definitely stay again in the future. - We loved the farmstay concept - it was clearly a working farm. Being able to meet the animals living there was a nice bonus. The breakfast provided on one morning by the hosts was delicious, and it was fascinating to learn more about their inspiration for the property and their plans for expansion. The WiFi speed could be improved. We would also have appreciated a brief explanation of the check-in process, as we weren't entirely sure how it worked when we arrived.
- Glen (10/5): We were only there one night but really enjoyed our last night in Newfoundland. The charcuterie board that we ordered wa - Comfortable and unique bring on a little farm. It was cold in the living room even with the heat cranked up. It would be nice to have some blankets in the room to cozy up with when watching tv.
- Jerry (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was good , made to my wish.
Everyone is very friendly, even the cat.
Great people, great stay all around! More prominent B&B sign on the side of the road would be helpful and saved me turning around.
Not a big deal.
- Ashley (10/5): Well-furnished accommodation in a quaint location run by very friendly Newfoundlanders - We chose this accommodation based on the photos and the stellar reviews by previous visitors, and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owners, a friendly dog and Oscar the cat, and we were showed around the farm. The accommodation itself is beautifully-furnished and the breakfast was delicious. n/a
- Patti (10/5): Exceptional - The setting, beautiful organic farm. Perhaps, no refrigerator for guests...
- Ginakristan (10/5): 100% Recommend - We loved everything. The atmosphere, the other guests, the recommendations, the owner. My mother and I spent 2 nights. The room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was the best by far. Edible flowers. Delicious. The owner had many stories and ideas of what people could do locally. She makes her own sausages, grows her own produce, and has her own chickens for fresh eggs. Thank you for a fabulous stay! There was a little confusion about where our room was exactly, but it was sorted out quickly. 1 room up, 3 rooms around the corner by the kitchen. Voila.
- Tali (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): Pefection! - oh my goodness. we would stay here in a heart beat. Everything was perfect. The food. The company. The facility. The yard. The Food...where do I even begin! We loved everything about this beautiful place. there is not one thing that we didn't like.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patti (10/5): Exceptional - Location, a working organic farm. Very ambitious and energetic. The B&B itself was lovely. Clean and bright.
Our hostess for breakfast was an amazing young woman, filled with colorful stories about life on the farm. Don't miss this place!
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - Love the casual feeling and having use of the kitchen.
- Sheila (9/5): Superb -
- Lori-ann (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Cathy (9/5): I would have enjoyed more info to enjoy this lovely farm - I was up too early for my flight to have breakfast . I was disappointed but was able to take a baked muffin with me
The room, bedding and extra toiletries were wonderful. The house itself is beautiful
My stay was too short to appreciate all the work at this farm settlement I wasn’t aware that you could use the kitchen to make your own meals. That knowledge would have made a difference with my dinner plans
- Jaclyn (8/5): Fabulous and extremely memorable and useful. - I choose this location because it offered different experiences and it was well worth it! We enjoyed the Forage Tour and learned a lot in a short period of time, the meal afterwards was delicious. Lauralee was extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk too☺️ very accommodating to our diatery needs as well and the cat and dog that live on the farm are awesome!!! If I have to find an answer this question I’d say the staircase to enter the house needed some TLC
- Loretta (10/5): A little piece of Paradise. - Everything was amazing from the hosts to food to accommodations to meals and everything else. NOTHING
- Anonymous (10/5): We had a wonderful stay here, it was one of the highlights of our trip! The hosts are lovely and outgoing and really wen - Set on a farm, the B&B is absolutely gorgeous. Highlights were the hosts and the dinner they offered. The room and beds and facilities were fantastic and cozy. We enjoyed the Firepit with other guests and enjoyed looking at the animals and garden. Enthusiastic recommendation!
- Christa (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy loft room.
Very comfortable.
Felt like home.
Nice to meet and socialize with other guests and hostess.
- Belinda (8/5): Warm, welcoming- Loralee and Mark were the best hosts! - Breakfast was delicious, made to order and included items fresh from the farm. I appreciated the use of the kitchen to prep our lunches for the next day. Loralee was a wonderful host, making us feel welcome and helping with plans for the day. It was my favourite bed and breakfast so far and the best start to our trip to Newfoundland! The loft was a bit stuffy as it had been so warm but the fans helped.
- Anonymous (9/5): Comfortable large room and terrific breakfast. Very friendly hosts. - Very quiet. N/A
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place. The hosts were great. The food was awesome.
- Katrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wanda (8/5): We were very pleased. - I was told the breakfast was delicious. I can’t eat eggs in the morning and there was no other options offered.. that was disappointing. Otherwise the home and accommodations were excellent. Double bed for a couple is just too small. We booked it as we had no choice as the area was booked up. The bed and bedding was excellent and comfortable.
- Karen (10/5): A very warm and comfortable experience - The breakfast was awesome and sourced from their farm. The gardens were amazing, chickens had their own trailer and a bustling "Farm to Table" operation.
The owners greeted us warmly & after covering our questions, left. We used the kitchen to prepare our dinner & cleaned up. Two other couples came in, got comfortable In their rooms and then the six of us spent the evening till midnight chatting in the living room. It was like we were all family, totally trusted but..... I wouldn't try this where I live. Such lovely people, sharing the home they built, running multiple business's and doing everything well. ❤️ Nothing (okay - there were some flies).
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly owners who gave us good advice about what to see in the area. We had a delicious farm to table breakfast.
- Charlene (9/5): Wonderful Stay - Breakfast was amazing!!! Great location for 1 nt before driving north. I've never stayed at a B&B will self check in, so it was different. Not bad, just different.
- Wade (10/5): We enjoyed our stay, and we enjoyed meeting our hosts. We will stay again when we are in the area. - Comfortable, clean, safe accommodations. Friendly hosts. Interesting location. Nothing.
- Ursula (9/5): Just like home! - Friendly, home made breakfast with free range eggs from their chickens, close drive from Deer Lake airport. Nothing

- Ivan (10/5): Very, very nice facility and very nice hosts - Great room and facilities. Very nice hosts and great breakfast Nothing
- Adrixxy (10/5): so happy I chose to stay here - I really loved the stay here, it is not just a stay, it is an experience, in a farm, close to Deer Lake but somewhat remote. The room was big and very clean, the bed very comfortable, and it was so quiet, one of the best night's sleep. Breakfast, very good and plentiful, was very nice, chatting with the very kind and friendly owner and another guest. I liked everything
