• Manon (10/5): Le meilleur moyen de profiter d’Amsterdam - Superbe séjour, la péniche est vraiment confortable avec tout ce qu’il faut, calme et très bien située. On s’y sent un peu comme des locaux, à quelques minutes à pied du quartier Jordaan. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Friedrich, merci beaucoup !! J’y reviendrai avec plaisir, j’aime toujours autant de découvrir Amsterdam

There is nothing not to like about this property it has everything you need for your stay. Yes it’s in the small side but it ticked the boxes for what we wanted.

• Sara (8/5): Estudio en el centro de Amsterdam - Estudio pequeño y muy bien ubicado, tiene lo esencial, un baño pequeño, aseo y la habitación. No tiene cocina pero sí microondas y cafetera. Para una pareja es justo de espacio, para más personas lo veo imposible.

• Guadalupe (10/5): Excelente si lo que queres es descansar y estar cerca de todo a la vez! - La ubicación era perfecta, cerca del centro pero realmente relajante al estar en el agua. La zona muy tranquila. El departamento está equipado para dos personas con todo lo que necesitas, Friedrich fue muy amable en todo momento, nos habló en español y hasta nos dejó café y té para desayunar. Lo único que agregaría es un secador de pelo, que quizás había y no vi. No tengo nada de qué quejarme, fue ideal.

The boat is very comfortable, very well equipped, with all amenities and on an excellent location close to the central station and city center. My host, Friedrich, is very kind and welcoming, and gave me great tips.

• TIMOTHY (10/5): Great location, enjoy staying aboard a canal boat in the heart of Amsterdam - The houseboat was everything the photos and description made it out to be, in fact we were pleasantly surprised with the comfort and the facilities of our room. The location is really good, close to everything and easy walk to the main station and into the center of town, and as we were already on one of the canals we didn't have to go far to see the full beauty of Amsterdam. The room is quiet, the shower and toilet adequate, there is coffee and tea in the room if you like and we got a very peaceful night's sleep. The host is a lovely man, very welcoming and very helpful. Nothing, everything was just fine.

Was a little dusty and in the heat, there were bugs flying into the room (being on the water), so we got bitten.

But this house boat was amazing, only small but everything we needed. The only issue I had was the stairs down into the house boat due to my sight, this wouldn’t be a problem for anyone else.

It was a good location to the city too. Always lovely and warm in there and we were able to control the temperature as we liked. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows weren’t great!

• Sarah (1/5): Not for us at all - We were able to check in early It really wasn’t for us. We had no sleep at all due to the loud creak (and I do mean loud) every 30 seconds or so when the boat swayed against the rope. There was also a horn going off in the night. There was virtually no wardrobe space, everything about the studio and things in it were dated and didn’t look anything like the picture, which looks cosy, bright and inviting. We’ve seen comments from people mentioning the stairs down to the studio and we thought they were being overly fussy. They weren’t. They are treacherous with treads half missing, steep and very slippy. An accident waiting to happen. We booked for three nights but only stayed for one, left and checked into a hotel instead.

Nearby to a lot of what I wanted to see and the famed vegan bakery. The stairs are a little steep down so don’t overpack otherwise carrying your luggage down can be challenging.

• Jennifer (8/5): Well located and comfortable. - It was well located in Amsterdam, it was easy to access public transit and tourist sites, but was away from the crush of tourism. The bed was comfortable, and there was just the right amount of space for a couple. The host was kind and friendly. The air-conditioning is a portable unit that requires sticking the tube out the window. But that means you can't close the window, so mosquitos get inside, and without a seal, its really energy inefficient. Having the AC unit was important on hot days, but it would function better if it was set up with the window seal so bugs didn't get in when it was needed. It was still a good place to stay, but this aspect seemed not very well thought out.

Very close to all the tourist attractions, but the host pointed out the nearby "alternative" interesting area of the city which we also explored. It was fun to try a houseboat for a change and the furnishing is a lovely eclectic mix of vintage and modern. Nice restaurant right next to the houseboat too.

After two sleepless nights because of the heat we left a day early and went to another hotel. Also towels were ratty and old and we found a dirty fork. Wondering if the owner checks the cleanliness of the dishes or just leaves it to the previous guest.

The boat is located in a beautiful location, within a short walk of the busy centre, which consist of small neighbourhoods, lined with fantastic architecture and amazing little pubs! The houseboat itself is very cosy. Warm, very clean and everything worked well. Don’t expect an abundance of room, this is a cosy stay, perfect for what we wanted.
