• Roberto Ignacio (9/5): Excelente estancia. - Anfitrión muy atento, nos entregó las indicaciones en nuestro idioma. Snacks con reposición diaria. Ubicación excelente. Aseo diario. Nada grave. En ocasiones el internet presentaba intermitencias pero totalmente aceptable.

• Rob (10/5): Great few days!! - Matthijs was an excellent host, great communication prior to visit, and very accommodating when there. Great location, very central, but in a quiet street, very short walking distance to everything. Would very much recommend and look forward to a return visit in the future. Nothing - even better than expected
• Fawn (10/5): I wish other B&B had owners this thoughtful and nice but it’s Amsterdam so everything is small & compact. - The owner was so nice. He wrote us a welcome note on the door & it’s the little things. There’s always a juice box & milk box in the mini fridge, about 7 snacks (granola bars, crackers etc) in a bowl which is replenished every single night. There’s a list of his favorites … ( restaurants, bars , grocery store etc) in a cute little book alongside a map. And lots of books to read like Anne frank diary. It’s small & there’s one flight of steep stairs (he helps you with your suitcases though) but that’s Amsterdam. Lastly its location is excellent. Just Be aware it’s right next to the Red Light District. Depends if you go down the adjacent street on the left but if you do the adjacent street on the right its typical touristy stores , restaurants etc.. We never went out past 9:30 ish pm and didn’t see anything that was really inappropriate except once (but you really had to look ). So it’s easily avoided. As long as you’re ok with that it’s very safe & central to everything.

• Roberto (10/5): Estadia Perfeita! - Para começar, o proprietário Matthijs foi extremamente simpático e atencioso, sempre nos dando ótimas dicas sobre a cidade e os eventos locais. O quarto é muito confortável, limpo e silencioso, com limpeza diária e reposição de biscoitos, sucos e outras guloseimas — um cuidado que faz toda a diferença. A localização é excelente, a poucos metros do charmoso bairro Jordaan, e o proprietário ainda oferece bicicletas para quem prefere explorar a cidade sobre duas rodas. Excelente custo-benefício!

O Matthijs é incrível, simpático, acolhedor e nos receber divinamente, já com dicas de lugares e restaurantes. Esteve sempre presente todos os dias e muito atencioso. O quarto tinha tudo que precisávamos, banheiro limpo e completinho, pequeno frigobar, maquina de café, lanchinhos oferecidos por ele, e limpeza diária no quarto. Foi Incrível! Nada que não tenha gostado, para o nosso objetivo de viagem foi maravilhoso.

• Paul (10/5): Charming room in a great location - Charming lovely interior with local themed decor. Conveniently located within easy distance of what makes Amsterdam awesome. Location could prove very lively for some people.
• Irakli (10/5): Perfect tourist zone stay. - This place has the best location for its price. Host is really nice and helpful with everything. No need for transport tickets as almost everything is in a walkable distance. If something seems a bit far, you get bikes from host for free. So my stay here was perfect.
• Eduardo (10/5): Definitely my favorite place to stay in Amsterdam - Really awesome place with an awesome host. I felt better than at home! Location is at the heart of the city, so it was easy to walk everywhere and come back to the bedroom. Nothing. But I reckon two things might be negative to certain guests: - There is no view. I don’t mind at all, but I know people who need something to look at. - Rooms are upstairs without lifts. It is a common thing in Amsterdam, but be warned if you need accessibility.

• Eljee (10/5): Comfortable, stylish, amazing location and value. Highly recommended. - Rust is a lovely hotel right in the heart of Amsterdam. It's surprisingly quiet, safe and comfortable given it's right in the red light district. Matthias is an excellent host who clearly takes pride in his business. He took the time to welcome us and make detailed recommendations on where to eat/see/drink/do around the city and every one of the places we tried were amazing. He has excellent taste and a keen eye for out of the way places (being local after all). We also took the breakfast option which is amazing value - the cutest cafe just around the corner serving a generous breakfast (you won't need lunch). If you're looking for a quiet base to explore Amsterdam and want to support local businesses, I highly recommend staying here. Nothing - just be aware of the stairs (not only at Rust but pretty much all over Amsterdam), they are steep!
• Angela (10/5): I highly recommend this centrally located B & B if you want a cosy en-suite room with a lovely host and an amazing b - The property was centrally located near Dam square. The bed was really comfortable and as it is on a side street, there was no noise. Our host Mattijs allowed us to leave our bags when we arrived in the City and when we had checked out so we didn’t have to worry about access to the museums. He was really helpful in providing information about where to visit, where to eat etc. We were given a voucher for breakfast at a bakery 4 blocks from the property and what a breakfast that was! The owner of the cafe was lovely and breakfast was so big that we had a ready made lunch with what we couldn’t manage for breakfast. Delicious! The architecture of properties in the City meant that there were some steep stairs to climb to get to the room. This was not a problem for us but might be difficult for people with mobility limitations.

• Ben (10/5): Exceptional - So it's Amsterdam which means... steps and expensive. That said, the steps were no worse than I've had before and the price was good value for money. The location is awesome - we enjoyed wandering around the red light district and the fact we could borrow bikes to head further afield was awesome. And the breakfast... honestly, incredible. I'm pretty choosy but I'll be back, for sure

• Laura (10/5): Amazing b&b in the heart of Amsterdam - I had a stop over in Amsterdam and I decided to spend the night in this b&b. The room and bathroom are impecable. The breakfast is served in cafe 2 min from the property, and it’s delicious. Matthijs is very nice and gave me a lot of useful tips. The location is amazing. Best choice in Amsterdam. Nothing.

• Michal (9/5): Fantastic B&B with personal touch - We came late in the evening, but b&b-owner Matthjis stayed up for us – that´s great service! He also gave us nice tips on bars nearby for our quick one night stop. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Tiny bathroom, but very smartly planned so it didn´t feel so small. B&b just two minutes walking distance to metro. Breakfast was served at a cosy café a block away, got a big plate with bread, cheese, ham croissants, coffee, tea etc. Fortunately we could take doggy bags. Nothing really, but as always in Amsterdam houses – remember the long and narrow staircases.

• Elizabeth (8/5): We enjoyed our stay but due to the staircase would not be able to stay at this property in the futur - We liked the location as it is so close to the city centre and transport hubs. Our host was very obliging & carried our suitcase for us. The stairs are very steep. This property is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or with heavy luggage.

Matthijs is an amazing and welcoming host and he gave us great advices on what to do in Amsterdam. The bikes included were so comfortable and fun to drive around on. The breakfast-place just a few minutes from the BB is super cute and served us delicious breakfast and coffee’s, for both all eaters and vegans. We just loved everything and definitely want to come back. Nothing, loved everything
• Stephen (10/5): We enjoyed lots of art in Amsterdam! - The room was small, but was warm, clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful, and gave good advice on things to see and where to eat. The printed guide that he produced was a nice touch. Breakfast in a local bakery was very good as well. We would recommend it as a place to stay in the centre of Amsterdam. Stairs were a bit awkward to get up the room on the first floor. We managed fine, they but might be difficut if someone had mobility issues.

The property was tucked away in a side street within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. The bed was so comfy, we slept really well, tea and coffee facilities were much appreciated and the breakfast voucher for a local cafe was great, good options for whatever you fancy. We'd definitely stay again!
• Michele (9/5): Superb - The host was warm, friendly and always had time to pause, chat and answer any questions. It was obvious that he enjoyed his guests. I would rethink the automatic light in the bathroom. When you need to use the toilet a few times each night, it's a bit overwhelming.
