Guest Reviews
- Jan Willem (9/5): - Ligt vlakbij het strand.
- Susanna (7/5): The slope to the breakfast lounge is too far & hard for senior. No one warn us about that. - The staffs are nice. There was only ONE towel/person. Is it very hard to provide a wash cloth and a towel for my hair? The breakfast lounge is too far.
- KWAN KIT (9/5): -
- Regina (6/5): - Very friendly staff , good Location , comfy bed, Rooms are run down, Breakfast was nothing special,
- King (10/5): - This is excellence.A fantastic place.I love it so I will be back again. The staff are kind and friendly. The price is really good.I have no complain.
- Roz (8/5): A delightful stay in a well located guesthouse. An easy walk to beach, shops and ferry. - A nice, clean room with ensuite. An ocean view from the balcony outside. The room is a little dark which can be improved by opening the front door.
- SERRA (8/5): - Great location, comfortable and quiet room, nice balcony
- tszyan (1/5): -
- Oskar (9/5): -
- Rosy15 (8/5): - Good, the bed was comfy, the shower was small but good Needs a bit of revamping as things a little tired. But all basics worked
- Lars (10/5): - Location and comfortable bed
- Wingman (10/5): -
- 黨 (2/5): - Easy access to tier and main road Extra charge for late check-out
Housekeeper suddenly opened the door without knocking on it
- Chui Ping (5/5): Do not recommend! - The mattress is good and firm.
The hot water is hot enough and shower tap is powerful.
Staffs are nice
Location is good The room does not have any facilities. To my opinion, it cannot accommodate 3 people especially the additional bed is awful.
The room size is perfect for 2 people only. We are family of three but the room is too small to accommodate us!
Also there were ants in the room and feels dirty.
- JEONGHAN (10/5): - 해변이 가깝고 방이 넓었다.
- jovaniccca (10/5): Great place to rest for a couple of days, and enjoy beautiful views, people, and nature. - The room was clean and neat. The AC system works perfectly. Our trip was in July, which means it was very hot and humid, and inside the room, we didn't feel it at all. The breakfast choice was just enough for us: scrambled eggs, or sunny side up fried eggs; three types of meat (ham, bacon, or sausage); butter, strawberry jam; toast; tea, coffee, three types of juice. We spent three nights, and next time we will stay longer. It is very quiet in the evening, and during the night, you'll sleep like a baby. Beds are comfortable, and pillows are as well. Hiking options were also great; we hiked and went to an abandoned beach (Coral Beach), swam there the whole afternoon, completely alone.

- Robert (10/5): Interesting Island location close to Hong Kong, with good food and many attractions. - Comfortable, functional en-suite room in the centre of Cheung Chau close to beach, restaurants and shops. Many interesting walks around the island and interesting features well signposted. Harbour hive of activity with sea food and other restaurants.
Regular ferries to Hong Kong and the fast by far the best for comfort and speed.
Room offered good value for the area of Hong Kong.
Staff friendly and helpful. Cheung Chau used for short visits from Hong Kongers so very busy at weekends. If staying for a week advise visit Hong Kong at weekend.
- Fabian (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (8/5): Great sized room, lovely staff, location and breakfast. - The staff were lovely. The location was great and for Hong-Kong it was very good value for money and they allowed an early check in - breakfast was on a rooftop cafe with great views. What more can you ask for. The room was very tired, and shabby which is different to saying it's not clean- it's just in need of an overhaul.....but it was absolutely fine for the £. Well worth it.
- Steven (8/5): Very good - Room is clean with AC. The location is right in the middle of within 2 minutes to a nice sand beach and 2 minutes to the ferry pier and restaurants. Althought we didn't take the breakfast plan but we were told it would be with a 4 stars hotel nearby. Althought the beach is a nice sand beach with life guards, the water was polluted by garbages and plastics drifted from Hong Kong side.
- Cara (6/5): Overall, the surrounding environment is very comfortable. It would be better if the room was cleaner. - Near the pier and beach. Bathroom and carpet not clean
- Wing (8/5): Very good -
- Ming明 (8/5): Very good -
- Pawel (10/5): Exceptional - The property has everything you need.
- Tess (7/5): Good -
- Cheung (9/5): Superb -
- Md (7/5): wonderful, and good enough for a repeat vacation, bettered prepared. - The location was good, i was a newcomer so I wish i had more of a guide as to where I was. As I spent 3 days, it took me almost the entire time trying to get orientated.
The weather, the layout made me scramble some upon arrival and the next day. Some advice would have benefitted me. The weather the atmosphere the overall place itself. The environment was the winner, the back alley effect was very good. I wish i had a map perhaps with options, like a menu at a restaurant - a map of shops and nooks and crannies would help. (ie. where can i get some male flippers, as i only had a snorkel and mask.
- Poon (7/5): Good -
- Howard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeninna (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Henry, (8/5): Very good -
- Kimberly (8/5): Better than we expected. We’re a frequent visitor in the location & have stayed in some guest houses. So far, this i - It’s cleaner than other guest houses in the location. Quite small.
- Maui (9/5): Superb -
- Info (7/5): It’s modest stay. No complaints and no surprise. - Very modest. I’d prefer a more off centre location. It’s too busy.
- Amelie (8/5): Very good -
- Maisie (7/5): Good -
- Charlotta (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maricke (9/5): Superb -
- Paddy (9/5): Will be back - Clean, roomy good aircon comfy bed No microwave
Restaurant being renovated
- Wing (4/5): Fair - Shower head is linking even though as reported after check-in. Front desk staff say will change another shower head once but no replacement or further notice until to check-out!
- Janelle (10/5): Great! - The room was clean and spacious. The hotel provided toiletries and clean towels. Complimentary drinks inside the hotel room fridge. Location is easily accessible from the ferry terminal (2-3mins walk). It’s also just about a minute walk to the beach. Weak wifi signal but phone reception is good.
Hard to find a breakfast place. Found out that the island restaurants open at around lunch time. Ended up having breakfast at Mc Donald’s which is near the ferry terminal.
- Siu (3/5): Poor - Convenient location Room is super small
- Zeph (7/5): Good -
- Kelvin (6/5): Pleasant - Room is different from the Booking.com listing. Very basic and dated. Not worth the price we paid.
- Shubham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rai (8/5): Very good - The room was exactly like the photos, and very clean.
If you want to stay overnight for cheung chau, this place is recommended. Had a very cozy stay ! The staff were very polite and welcoming.
- Pik (9/5): Good - Very close to the beach and easy for shopping A steel plate (“please wait for 15 min to warm up the heater”) on wall always fall down
- Lol (7/5): It was a pleasant and peaceful stay - Quiet room, easy to access to beach, many restaurants closed by, friendly staff The room was smaller than I expected. We were room V4 in 2/F. Poor connection of Wi-Fi : very very low reception of Wi-Fi ! and it disconnected every hour :(
- Sao (9/5): Enjoyable and relaxing! - I’d prefer having breakfast at those local cafes or restaurants. The workers/owners are friendly. Nil
- Limbu (8/5): it’s awesome - peace N/a
- Cherry (9/5): Very decent! - Cleanliness and location Not too problematic but the wall are quite thin that we can hear all the noises from outside. But I was okay with the sound proof.
- Elfreda (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (8/5): Cosy , convenient and affordable stay. - The location was good, close to the beach and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Access was quick and easy, just walk into a door and up a staircase. The room was simply furnished, but enough for two people who plan to explore the area anyway instead of staying indoors all day. There was locker rental service with a huge locker, so we were able to store our belongings when we headed to the beach after checkout. The room was small and very basic; which has its own charm but ultimately could be uncomfortable if you are more used to bigger rooms. The rooms can be renovated to a more updated style, though this is just a stylistic preference; the room and furnishings were clean and working well.
- Yuanhao (7/5): Good - Nice people, clean room, great location No lift, need to take your luggage upstairs by yourself
- Ng (8/5): Very good - Clean and tidy
I love the bed most.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (8/5): Perfect value, location, facilities for one night and for week of beach vacay on Cheung Chau. - Comfortable, clean bed and room, equipped with small table/chairs, kettle, mini fridge, tv, working a/c, good shower. Right in town and beach. All good!
- Marco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wai (8/5): Very good -
- Leung (6/5): convenience - convenience flush toilet is slow , not very clean of the toilet
room size larger if 3 ppls & prefer single bed for all
old , I prefer Lychee Sunset Hotel. not aware there’s selected type to choose
- Man (7/5): Good -
- Ng (5/5): Passable -
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Sidney (7/5): Good - n/a checked in early but room not ready is ok, but keep luggage there need to use paid locker to.keep the luggage is not reasonable.

- William (1/5): Bad - I did not get the room that I paid for. Everything
