Guest Reviews
- Valentina (10/5): -
- Violetta (8/5): - Location is great. Support from the owner is quick (we needed additional blanket). I would like to stay in this location again if needed. The main cleaning was good. Crispy and white bedding, nice towels. But inside of the wardrobe is dirty, my white costume had grey marks... It was a big spider web in a corner and etc.
- Marta (9/5): - No había personal trabajando allí, pero no tuvimos ningún problema. Muy bien ubicado! Perfecto para 3-4 días
- Alessia (9/5): -
- Schiks (7/5): - Close to our places to visit
- Zsolt (10/5): .
- Brogan (7/5): - Room was nice and clean, good view over the Canal. Had basics like soap and shower gel, towels & coffee. The room above created quite abit of noise and it can be very loud in the room when trying to sleep if the upstairs guest is noisy.
Luckily we were shattered from travelling and managed to fall asleep through it.
- CRISTINA (1/5): - No pudimos entrar y no había nadie y no cogieron el teléfono
- Darren (8/5): -
- Pietro (9/5): ci siamo trovati molto bene.
- James (9/5): Excellent stay with great views of Canals and bridge - Excellent location and beautiful view of the canals and bridge. The area was quiet at night whilst still being only 15 minutes walk from the center of Amsterdam. The room was basic but had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again. The only negative, is the steep narrow stairs to get into the building. But it is to be expected for a townhouse.
- daniel (7/5): -
- Otis (9/5): Would stay again! - Location was great!
Clean and spacious room.
Nice canal view. No towels
- C.J. (8/5): -
Me - Konumu ve odanın manzarası enfes Merdivenler zorladı.
- C.J. (8/5): - Ons ouwe buurtje. Leuk om weer even 'thuis' te zijn
- gysens (8/5): -
- C.J. (8/5): - Uitzicht!! ---
- Jean-Pierre (9/5): Excellent. - Emplacement. Vue. Taille de la chambre. Confort.
- Jillian (8/5): clean room brilliant views - great location room was spotless only issue was the stairs very dangerous and very steep one wrong move an your a gonner the stairs to steep and dangerous need rope to climb them
- Annemarie (10/5): - Alles! Ruime kamer, veel licht, geweldig uitzicht. Heerlijke douche! Rustig hier en dichtbij CS. Ik had beter nog een nachtje geboekt. Heel fijn hier, Dankjewel!!♡♡ Nvt
- Neslihan (7/5): Excellent canal view and location. - The location is very central. Within walking distance or very close to public transport hubs. It had a magnificent canal view. The room was very nice and perfectly adequate for a short stay. It could have been warmer. There was only a bath towel. No place to hang it in the bathroom.
- Pete Francis (10/5): -
- Belen (10/5): -
- Louise (8/5): Nice place to stay for a short visit but if you are not fit you will struggle with the stairs - We loved the location and the views from our room. Very steep narrow stairs, a bit cold but it was snowing outside.
- Gary (8/5): Great spot - Very comfortable room. Spacious, clean and tidy room in a really quiet neighborhood but not too far from shops, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. The room has great views and looked out onto a nice canal. The stairs was fairly steep but it is amsterdam after all.
It’s not a hotel, they are rooms for rent (Airbnb style)
- you have to climb 3 extremely steep and narrow stairs to get to the room, if you go with suitcases or elderly people it is very dangerous and uncomfortable.
- room B where we were has interior windows that connect to the stairs, someone from another room arrived late and they turned on the light on the stairs illuminating our entire room, waking up at dawn, we had to leave the room to the passage and go down the stairs to be able to turn off the light at 2:30am.
- you can hear a lot of noise from the rooms and the doors that open from the second and third floors in the early morning and from the street you can hear many screams at night.
- Mike (6/5): - The location was perfect Only one small towel each..fo 3 days!! No coffee pods, sugar, etc with the coffee machine.
- FEDORA ROSARIA (4/5): -
- Björk (8/5): -
- Patrick Stephens (6/5): Mixture of Good and "okay" - * Beautiful canal and street view * double-paned windows * comfortable bed * nice bathroom * good location * new visitors to Amsterdam: please note stairs are very narrow and steep so may be difficult for older people * WiFi terrible, kept "cutting out" so I resorted to using cafe WiFi located one floor below * No translucent :"sheer" curtains only nighttime blackout shades (so privacy difficult unless room is totally darkened) * Heater dial loose, it actually fell off and rolled downhill across the room * basic item - towel rack missing, so no place to hang bath towel to dry * only one water glass - and no reception desk to ask for another water glass (automatic check in, contact by email only, rather inconvenient)
Cheiro do quarto, lençóis e toalhas. Temperatura do quarto baixa.
- Macarena (10/5): -
- Katharina (8/5): -
- Babachanah (4/5): - Stairs oof
- Román (7/5): Good - Okey Small sing in door and no Key to room
- Kayla N (10/5): -
- Curtis (10/5): -
- adrianus (8/5): We knew about them steep stairs so not a problem But not suited for seniors - Location location location No big deal but very noisy at nigh-time
- Omar (7/5): -
- Trevor (4/5): Only good thing was that the location wasn’t too bad. - The Location was good. Quite a few things, the bed was not good…..felt like you were going to fall off - but this was more due to the fact that the room/floor is at a “downward”
Angle🙈
Also there was no bathroom mat for when you get out the shower.
The Kitchenette was not well equipped - no glasses, no spoons or knives and forks👎
For the money we paid we were very disappointed.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Christin (10/5): -
- christyan (10/5): - Ubicación, limpieza. Escalera de acceso.
- Cyndi (7/5): Clean, no frills room in a noisy, busy location. - The location was very convenient
But, also very noisy if you wanted to keep the windows open
It's located on a canal and very busy intersection
The room was very clean and comfortable The stairways inside and outside are very narrow and steep
Also, I have very small feet, women's size 5 and my feet barely fit on the steps
We were only provided with two very small. thin bath towels
On the second day of our trip, housekeeping took our bath towels and left us with one hand towel!
Since there is no front desk service at the property we had to text them about the issue
They did bring our bath towels a few hours later
Quite an inconvenience since we had been walking all day. We were hot and tired and were looking forward to a shower before flying home the next morning!!
- G (10/5): We really enjoyed the beautiful bright accommodation in a great location. The cafe below served delicious food and bever - Beautiful bright and clean room with a fabulous view over the bridge and canal. Lovely bathroom and good shower with toiletries provided. The entry steps are quite steep and entrance not very clear.
- Heleen (6/5): - Ligging Klein en gehorig
- Rikus (9/5): Great stay at the Bridge Inn - Very comfortable and modern with a stunning view. We struggled to find the property. It was also a challenge with the luggage up and down the steep stairs, especially in the rain.
- Maria (4/5): -
- Johnny (7/5): For the price and location, a great choice for 1st time visiting Amsterdam. - Great view from the room with the Canal just outside of the window. Only 15 minute walk to the main train station. The stairs to enter the room were a bit steep. Ok for me, but don't recommend for older people or those with unstable footing.
- KaPo (9/5): Great location!!! - -great location
-nice view of the canal
-large room
-nice shops, cafes and restaurants nearby -pricy (over €200 per night!)
-stairs (typical in Netherlands!)
-basic toiletries
-only 1 plug socket available (or unplug the kettle, the fan, the mini fridge…)
-neighbor keep slamming the door
- Nicholas (9/5): Lovely sunny room - Beautiful light filled room with lovely views. We enjoyed sitting in the armchairs with a coffee watching the life on the street. There is an espresso machine and small fridge which is handy. The stairs to access the property are extremely steep and narrow. I would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues, or if you have a lot of luggage.
- Saba (8/5): It’s Amsterdam the expensive! Spending more than 120€/night for a very simple staying place might be not bad! - The location was very good and less than 15 minutes to Central station. The room was clean and cozy. The noise! In the midnight we have heard footsteps from the up level for about half an hour (maybe house keeping), and also, you might hear the street sounds anyhow.
- Rex (8/5): Very good - The location is perfect , being by the cabal was wonderful and so easy to walk to everywhere of interest.
The view from the window sitting in the comfy chairs with a coffee from the machine Beware the stairs with luggage! We managed and laughed a lot, but if you have any mobility issues, it’s dramatic! The room is hot and opening windows is a noisy option.
- Lomova (9/5): Cute nicely located rooms for a short stay in Amsterdam! - The apartment is located perfectly in between the central station (15 min walk) and the city center, within amazing places to eat and have a drink, close to all the galleries in amazing Jordaan area. The apartment was small but cute and had all you need. Locks are very convenient. It was a bit hot but the ventilator was placed perfectly to make it bearable. The locks were not closing properly sometimes and I came home once to find my door unlocked. Cleaning was weird — they did my bed but didn’t place new towels or anything else in the bathroom, felt like they left half way through the cleaning.
- Kahn (7/5): Nice room, not suitable for older people. Very steep stairs. Not easy check in - Very difficult to communicate with the staff. Very difficult to check in Check inn. Stairs not suitable for disabled people or elderly.
- Cara (8/5): A great central location with a beautiful view. -
- Sílvia (9/5): Superb -
- Pekka (10/5): Exceptional - A spacy room with a stunning view over one of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam. Clean and stylish,.bath very ok.
Communication with the owner perfect, and the codes worked well. The steep stairs are not everybody's cup of tea. We managed ok, with lots of experience of this Amsterdam phenomenon. A floor drying towel would be welcome.
- Gevorg (8/5): Very good -
- Darja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mónica (10/5): Exceptional - The location, the view, and the room are perfect.
Near the 9 streets and central station with a few bars to enjoy the dutch evenings.
We will come back. The stairs are too small if you go with a suitcase but it is a real dutch house so this is usual. The door to the room misses some lights to be able to see the door codes.
- James (10/5): I luv Amsterdam - The style and the asthenosphere It wasn’t in central really like 20 mins
- Olha (9/5): It was a great stay, we enjoyed it! Comfy and beautiful! Thanks a lot to the host🫶🏻🙏🏻 - The location was very good with a cafe below and incredible view from the apartment on the bridge and the canal! The host was super nice, they brought us extra toilet paper, towels and also coffee capsules for the machine. The bed was comfy and there was adjustable heating, which was very nice considering the weather in Amsterdam. There was toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gel-shampoos, tea bags, powdered milk for coffee, sugar and even sweeteners☺️ The staircase was crazy, very steep and narrow, never seen anything like that, but we got used to :)) Also I would recommend to add towel hangers to the bathroom and a mat for even cosier stay☺️
- Georgina (6/5): basic but does the job - 3 night stay for work.
Basic but the bathroom was clean and modern, no towel hooks which was a bit annoying as had to hook them over the bathroom or wardrobe door. Toiletries provided which was nice. Coffee machine, kettle and 3 pods with some teabags in the room but no milk and the saucers for the cups were not clean. Cups were clean but definitely well used. No fridge but they did provide me one the second day after I asked. The wifi was fine, not too noisy at all, nice view, 20 min walk from central station along the canals, close to bars restaurants etc. The room was very warm but windows do open, although you can't change if you're in my room (first floor) as everyone can see directly in if blinds are up to open windows. The stairs are very very steep and shallow but manageable and I think thats standard in Amsterdam houses. Also to get into the main door and then to your room its a code keypad no keys which is fine but I had to keep finding my phone to find the code for each door and someone mentioned its the keypad that you can open with a credit card - I didnt check to find out if this is true though! No house keeping but thats probably quite standard for a b&b type thing and I only stayed 3 nights. you can buy tokens for breakfast at the cafe downstairs which seemed nice but loads of brunch and coffee shops nearby so I didnt bother. I think you pay for what you get so this did the job for the price.
- Tobias (9/5): Picturesque view from a comfy & central room - Incredible location in the city center, with beautiful streets and channels everywhere. Groceries, restaurants, shops and the train station are all easily reachable on foot. Public transport is also very close.
Room is on the smaller side, but absolutely adequate. Bathroom facilities are fine, bed is very comfy with a beautiful view over the bridge (see the attached picture). Tea and coffee are provided by the host. Furniture and decorations are beautiful. People using the common staircase can be heard quite loudly. This is not a big issue though, because people are just walking past, so the amount of time it is noticeable is usually very short.
If people are noisy in the room directly above it can also get loud, but that didn't really happen after bedtime hours.
- Victoria (8/5): Very good -
- S (7/5): Good location. - N/a Pillows were not good. Shower water was slow running away.
- Liz (8/5): Very good -
- Ka (9/5): Superb - Quiet and spacious, around 20 min walking from the train station. A pleasant surprise is a vintage bazzar nearby. The floor is a little bit inclined - not sure it's a feature of Amsterdam's building.
- Siu (7/5): The room could have be better if the amenities or facilities were better equipped - Location and canal view. Easy to walk around the city and many restaurants around. The room, once got in, is quite comfortable as it has reasonable size. Lack of reasonable facilities inside the room such as tables and refrigerator. The bathroom is lack of hooks or racks for towels and clothes placement. The building has extremely steep staircases, not recommended for international travelers who have bigger luggages. The access is hard to find.
- Catharina (8/5): Very good - The owner was very helpful and super friendly.
Perfect location! The steps😄, but we got used to it!
- Tjebbo (9/5): Excellent view and location.great value the minuses were minor details - Location and view! No tea bags. Steep stairs. A little noisy. No light switch for bathroom. Minimal towels.
- Gill (8/5): Lovely place with a great view! - Quirky with the tiny staircase. Lovely room and great view. Was perfect for what I needed and a great location. Nothing
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Fionn (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good, shower and bathroom were clean and so was the room. Blinds had large gap from the window so light came in all night. Bed sheets could have been more fresh. Someone banging on the outside door and ringing our buzzer at late hours wasn't ideal. Contacted the host to disable the buzzer but never got a reply. As mentioned by other reviews there was a lack of plugs and very dark, steep stairs. All in all not great but not the worst. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Mish (10/5): Perfect location, good views but narrow staircase - Perfect location, simple to find and easy to navigate codes to get inside. Homely apartments feel. The stairs are the most narrowest I’ve seen to navigate up the staircase so I don’t recommended for elderly people with or with physical lifting restrictions. My partner and I ar are fit in our 30s so wasn’t an issue. Definitely consider this aspect though.
- Sofia (10/5): Amazing! 100% recommended - The room was bigger than expected with free tea and coffee machine! and the view is stunning! The location is great. nothing :)
- Sally (1/5): Bridge inn ams terrible - I guess the location would have been okay.. we didn't stay We got there and couldn't find it. The tiny stairs are on the side of a coffee shop. Once I got up the outside stairs,I opened the door to find tinier stairs that curved up 2 floors. My husband couldn't get up there nor could I get it suitcases up there. Nothing like the pictures and dirty and not a accessible. The description is false and definitely should show the stairs. Couldn't stay there and they refused a refund
- Vidushi (8/5): Comfortable stay overall. Beautiful view. - Rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. Convenient location if you travel by the tram. One could easily walk if you are without luggage. The stairs up to the room were extremely narrow. Going up with luggage especially international travellers is a challenge. Also, there is no board or signage so just be careful. It’s right opposite to coffee shop 137.
A small suggestion to add some basic crockery like glasses for water and spoons etc. in the room.
- Kayleigh (6/5): Comfortable and good location - Bed was comfortable, location was lovely, great view Drain in the shower didn’t work well had to keep stopping the shower or the floor would flood.
The stairs are very narrow and steep almost ladder like but being young and fit didn’t bother us but could see it causing an issue for others. Very noisy at night could hear everything outside.
- William (7/5): Good - Fantastic location and view and owner was very nice. Room itself was clean and very nice! The entrance stairs of 3 flights were very steep and partially spiral with about 4 inch vs US standard tread of 11 inches.
To be fair I believe this may be fairly common in Amsterdam but difficult with luggage.
