Guest Reviews
- Suzanne (8/5): Pleasant stay in a lovely location - Lovely property, friendly host. Lacking breakfast choices.
- Rock (10/5): -
- Evie (10/5): Peaceful countryside retreat! - Very spacious, great outdoor space, loved the animals and Billie the dog! So clean and the host was amazing too. Perfect retreat whilst still close enough to Swan Hill!
- Liddell (10/5): We had a lovely 2 days and will recommend charm Lodge to friends and acquaintances - It is a beautiful property. Extremely picturesque with amazing facilities. Lindsay and Gaby were wonderful hosts and very generous. Nothing was too much trouble. And all queries were dealt with quickly. And our dog Yarzi loved the border collie Billie, as did we. The kitchen was a bit of a challenge due to its small size but the BBQ was easy to use and created a good alternative to no oven. Also the use of an airfryer was good for croissants and chips.
- alvin (9/5): Fabulous getaway. - Privacy. Calming. Excellent facilities. Lovely home cooked meal provided. Nothing
- Ivy (10/5): -
- allan (10/5): Delightful property and hosts suits a family for a long stay. - Spacious, comfortable and modern, especially liked the turkey doing a display in the morning, first time for everything.
- Zhengrong (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The owners are great. Really helpful. It is place that deserves a longer stay than one night. Also would a a good choice for a family group or two couples travelling together.
- Brianne (10/5): Paradise - Stunning and peaceful location and so nice we could bring our dog!
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was perfect and in a very pleasant and peaceful location. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We will return.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Great location, especially finding one so dog friendly.
- Matt (10/5): eill be back soon. amazing!!! - very dog friendly and beautiful property
- Ereaut (7/5): Good - The Lodge is very elegant and absolutely beautiful. The comfort levels are up there and is a must for a wedding venue.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - Lindsay is a top man! I liked everything!, was my personal bartender for the night! Top joint, highly recommended! Alex
- Barbara (9/5): Only stayed overnight but most enjoyable as Charm Lodge and Lake Charm certainly have plenty of charm. - We were able to bring our little dog.
Hosts were very accommodating at short notice and arranged beds that suited us. Nothing.
- Rick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stanley (10/5): Exceptional - Great location right across from Lake Charm. The accommodation was comfortable and many different activies (swimming pool, pool table) which we enjoyed. Biggest plus was the that the place was very pet friendly.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Comfortable bed, great bar and pool area, friendly owners especially Billie the dog. Felt right at home for our one night, wish we could have stay longer.
- Evangelina (10/5): It was just what we needed! - If you want to feel like you’re completely at home (but away from home), this is the place for you! Right on the Lake Charm Foreshore, you can enjoy a myriad of water activities, whilst still feeling comfortable. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the extremely friendly Hogg family (and their beautiful dog, who is well trained- for those of you not so keen on dogs), who will make you feel like part of the family immediately. There’s a very cool vibe in the home- curios from around the globe are displayed in a tasteful and fun fashion, and the entertainment area has everything you could ask for. Play some billiards, swim in the pool, grab a drink at the bar (there’s an honesty system) or chill and watch the stars from the patio garden. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, with easy access to facilities. If you’re the kind of person who requires air-con in your own room: please don’t expect that, but there are ceiling fans, which personally I found perfectly adequate. Overall, a brilliant home away from home stay (in all honesty, I did forget I *wasn’t* at home, and attempted to enter the home via a door I’d ordinarily go through from the patio- but found it locked; that was the point I remembered where I actually was…), and I’d certainly prefer it to any of the Hotel/Motels in the area- and I’m a local. There was nothing I didn’t like personally- I’m heavily disabled and require many facilities to be checked off a list before I can stay somewhere; though if you don’t want to share a bathroom or kitchen (there’s a second toilet for ladies), it’s possibly not for you.
- Kristy (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (6/5): Pleasant -
- John (10/5): Great place to stay at Lake Charm. - Beautiful location next to Lake Charm in a superb house. Very dog friendly. Our Border Collie Lachie played and played with Lindsay and Gaby's Border Collie Billie until they dropped! Fresh fruit, toast, tea and cereal for breakfast was all we needed. Room and bed were very comfortable. Roadhouse on the highway provided a tasty Indian takeaway. We would happily stay again. All good. Nothing wrong.
- O (10/5): A very comfortable B&B in a wonderful rural location. - A very comfortable B&B set in a magnificent location. Nothing to really want for and if you bring your own bar b que ingredients, you can cook up a great evening meal. Gaby provides a good continental breakfast to start your day. Charm Lodge has a great looking salt water pool and a spa.
If you have a dog that is well socialised it will be entertained playing ball with Bille the border collie, who also likes to accompany you if you go for a walk.A Nothing to not like
- Janette (10/5): Exceptional - We Felt very welcomed, especially as dog friendly,, beautiful home and location
- Slarkie (10/5): A CHARMING CRACKER - What a cracking nice place is Charm Lodge. We had a warm welcome from Billie the activities dog & then were shown our room by Lindsay. There are 3 ground floor guest rooms with a large TV & Games room, a great little kitchenette and a nice large bathroom, all with quality linen & fittings. Not forgetting the lovely swimming pool & hot tub outside. The grounds are beautifully maintained & the farm & lake are there for you to enjoy. Very highly recommended & in a great part of the country
