This is a property that I can recommend to all of my friends and family. Despite the fact that we had to leave early for our flight, the owners were so kind as to make us our food before we left. • Joseph (10/5): A delicious and welcoming B&B experience that exponentially enhanced our stay in Montreal. - The breakfast was amazing. Daniel makes something new and fresh every morning for your stay. Petra was wonderfully informative on how to get around and things to do while in town. Both were great company and fantastic hosts! The neighborhood is quiet and although not situated in the heart of the city, is within close distance to a bus stop that takes you almost anywhere you would like to go with the purchase of an affordable day pass. In fact, experiencing the charm of a residential area was a fantastic part of the trip to Montreal and we got to browse some great cafes and shops around the B&B. Nothing! We would stay again in a heart beat. And also recommend everyone else to do so.

• Evelyn (9/5): Hele fijne plek! - Zeer vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. We voelden ons meteen welkom en thuis. We kregen een kaart mee waarop gearceerd was door de gastvrouw wat interessant was om te bezoeken en welke bus of metro we nodig hadden. Super handig. De zelfgemaakte ontbijten waren erg lekker en het echtpaar kon ons veel vertellen over de geschiedenis van de stad. Kamers en sanitair zijn prima. Regendouche is heerlijk. Ik zou hier zeker terug gaan.

• Bakker (10/5): The place to go if you want to visit Montreal and value good company as well as a good rest - Go and meet your hosts, it will really feel like staying with a favourite aunt! We felt immediately at home and very welcome. They take really good care of the guests, give excellent tips suited to your interests and make sure you find your way. The room is spacious, the bed very comfortable and there is also the nicest sitting room for shared use (with cookies!). Breakfast was amazing, freshly home cooked and more than you can eat really. We had excellent conversations with the hosts and other guests, which I totally attribute to our hosts real interest in sharing their home and city. The airconditioning unit was also very much appreciated.
• Matthias (10/5): Übernachte bei Freunden in einer ruhigen, sehr schönen alten Wohngegend. - Neben der Gastfreundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Petra und Daniel ist das Frühstück grandios. Wir waren 3 Tage dort und jeden Tag gab es eine neue, leckere Überraschung. Insgesamt fühlte man sich sofort bei Freunden und nicht in einem Hotel. Das Haus ist entzückend und stilgerecht eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man braucht. 100% Empfehlungsrate und Wiederholungsfaktor, wenn wir wieder in Montreal sind. Nichts.

They were very helpful with suggestions, directions, etc. They were great conversationalists, and informative about the history/culture. Daniel made delicious, breakfast each morning , coordinating with my schedule. The b & b was very clean, & the bed very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, yet active, with restaurants, bakeries, a small grocer all within walking distance. Handy to Public Transportation. Not far from the Biodome, Olympic Village & botanical garden. I would definitely stay again at this gem of a spot.
• Lange (10/5): Fantastic location. Fantastic hosts, fantastic accommodations! - Everything! Daniel and Petra are fantastic hosts. They speak english, french, and german and maybe others, I don't know. The room wasn't huge but there was more than enough room, never felt cramped plus you can go sit in the living room to watch TV if your partner doesn't want to watch the same thing as you (there is a tv in the room). The bed was very comfier than any hotel I've ever stayed in and so were the pillows. I'm somewhat picky about my pillows and I thought they were great. Being ex-military, cleanliness is one of my things and this place would have passed an inspection with flying colours! oh yes, and I can't forget the breakfast... yummmm!! Also the location, you are steps away from many restaurants and bakeries. The neighbourhood is really nice and feels safe to walk around at night. I didn;t use the public transit but was told that its easy to use and get around. Thank you Daniel and Petra. I'll be back for sure! If I have to write something negative here then I guess I would say it's paying for parking but I get it, you have to pay for parking at most places but I still don't have to like it :)

• Kevin (9/5): Wonderful stay - Petra and Danielle were wonderful hosts. We felt so welcomed into their home. Suggestions provided by Petra on where to visit made our stay memorable. The detailed information provided on how to utilise the public transportation made our movement easy. The room was clean. The bathroom facility needed to be updated. We could not take a shower standing up, only in a seated position. Rather inconvenient.

Top notch!. Hosts wre so friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Lovely neighborhood, with restaurants and bus stops within eadt walking fidtance. The room was smaller than expected but good use of the space and had everything we needed. The tub shower was a bit challenging to use but not a deal breaker. Everything was in good condition, very clean and great comfy bed.

• Kashish (1/5): Bad - Nothing It was a clickabit, I was shown other picture and it was something else I was provided. The host also had terrific anger issues. There was no privacy. No lock in the bathroom door either. Tried talking to host started to yell at me and my friend. We had a book another hotel left immediately.

• Connie (10/5): If you're lucky enough to book a stay at A La Carte B&B, you won't regret it. - If I could give a score of 20:10 for A La Carte B&B, I would. Both Petra & Daniel could not have been more welcoming, helpful & fun. Their language fluency is amazing, quickly switching back and forth if needed from French to English to German. Daniel's breakfast was a culinary delight. Petra's tour guidance was fantastic, helping me determine places to see/experience and allowing me to comfortably navigate the greater Montreal area using the inexpensive public transportation options. I stayed 2 nights in the queen room and 2 nights in the double room. Both were tastefully decorated with lots of attention to details that enhanced the comfort of staying in them. Everything was excellent.

Petra asked about what we wanted to see and gave us a map with everything marked up and easy to go directions! Daniel is an amazing chef, serving the best looking and most delicious breakfast you might have in Montreal! If you enjoy a good reading like myself, Daniel spares a couple samples of his awesome comic collection in the library for anyone to enjoy a read. They also have an excelent music taste, so lots of good music rocking our time there as well. Location is good with public transportation just a couple minutes walk. Hope to visit again some time!

• Jesse (9/5): One of the best experiences in a BnB I've had ever, in a beautiful part of Montreal!! - The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Daniel is a wizard-chef! Petra and Daniel were amazing hosts, explaining everything to my fiancee and I in great detail, always willing to let us know when breakfast was and giving us options on where to go and to eat~ I think our only complaint (and a small one at that) was the internet - my fiancee and I probably had our laptops and phones (4 total) and the internet only worked (or connected to) when we turned off three of those devices. It wouldn't connect at all if we had 2 devices in the same room trying to connect~

Lots of good places to eat around as well. The only thing I could say is that you can hear the upstairs guest inn the room quite well, but it didn't bothered us to much.

• Anna (8/5): Spacious place but squeaky floor - We got the total second floor and it is huge! Has everything we needed - the entire kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms. The place is very clean and the host (Petra and Daniel) are super helpful and friendly! It is great for a family to stay. The bedroom floor is squeaky and so does the bed. We had to be extra careful when walking around, especially at night. It might not bother other people but I woke up to the squeaky sound when my partner went to use the bathroom at night.
