• Alison (10/5): High recommend. Will definitely stay there again. - Rick and Kate were the perfect hosts. Very welcoming and enjoyed a chat over breakfast. They took a genuine interest in what we were doing and how our previous day had gone. The breakfast was yummy and very filling. Hubby really enjoyed the full breakfast and I had the continental, which was also excellent. The property is right next to the Blackwood River, and has such beautiful gardens. Sitting on the balcony, overlooking the garden and river was heavenly. It was so tranquil, just what the soul needed. The accommodation was first class, plenty of room, big bathroom and shower and all the extras, tea, coffee, milk, etc. That we had to leave 😊

The bird life was incredible and they have a gorgeous garden and outlook - I could have just stayed on our balcony for the entire stay! Nothing- just all fabulous!
• Nikki (10/5): A relaxing retreat at Rickaty - We had a truly relaxing stay. The peaceful, secluded setting was perfect for a quiet getaway, with stunning river views and an abundance of wildlife. We spotted numerous species of birds and rabbits throughout our visit. The room was spotless and well- equipped with everything we needed, and breakfast was delicious. The roaring fire in the lounge is lovely on a cold autumn morning. Beautiful place to stay. We especially enjoyed being able to have a BBQ down in the garden one evening. There is a walk along the river from the property to Bridgetown (about 20 mins) although we didn't try this out. Lots of helpful suggestions from Rick and Kate on places to visit. Very nice hosts; we had a great stay. They have done wonders with the property; a pleasure to stay.

Rick and Kate were the perfect hosts and the breakfasts deserved a Michelin Star rating. There was nothing to dislike in terms of the accommodation the food and the friendliness of the hosts.

• Janine (10/5): A very tranquil and relaxing getaway with everything we needed. - We recently stayed here with friends for an extra long weekend getaway & the property was exceptionally lovely; the view from our balcony was picturesque and relaxing; we all loved everything about our stay especially the alpacas and Bindi the gran fur baby. Our hosts were delightful and made sure our stay was great; the facilities were clean and had everything we needed for our time at Rickaty. We would definitely recommend staying here, you will love it 😊 Nothing!

Rick and Kate the hosts and owners put a lot of love into their home and property, they are such lovely people. The real fast they provide is exceptional. This is the 3rd time we have stayed there and it's a delightful experience. We will return! I can't think of one thing.

The property is beautiful and well-kept, our en-suite room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was truly delicious. We saw all kinds of birds and bunnies in a carefully manicured garden with a lovely view of the river. It's a very peaceful and quiet spot, but also only less than 5 minutes by car from the main street, which made it easy for us to eat out and enjoy the town. My wife and I felt like we were in a home away from home!

Hosts Rick and Katy are very welcoming and provide a very good breakfast in lovely surroundings. Bridgetown is a very nice little town, with good amenities and nice restaurants and cafes. The Ciderey is a great spot to eat and drink.

Not only did they cook the most sumptuous breakfast, they shared their knowledge and travel experiences as well. The place was impeccably clean and easy to locate. It was fun to explore the river and trails nearby. Awesome experience!

• Hamilton (9/5): I have probably said everything but to sum it up it was a beautiful stay with lovely people - Hi. I wanted to write this in "the Book" but you would probably have problems reading my writing. "Rickaty is in a quiet and peaceful location with a comfortable bed, great food and Katy and Rick made is feel very welcome" Not a dislike but maybe an observation. In the event of very hot or very bad weather a guest would be virtually restricted to their rooms. If this weather were to persist It could prove irksome. In some B n B's we have frequented there has been a central area available to guests, for instance the Dining Room, in the event of bad weather. This would enable them to play cards, read books, watch TV etc. Unfortunately this would not be easy to implement with the layout of the rooms at Rickaty. Another armchair in the bedroom would be nice and would keep guests "off the bed with their clothes on" Please read these in a positive way - our stay with you was bliss compared with some.

• Graeme (10/5): We’ll be back, excellent location, beautiful property, lovely hosts and a garden that you’d expect to see only in a maga - Stunning property, with so many beautiful flowering trees and shrubs and very well maintained. It backs directly onto the Blackwood River… and it’s a lovely 20-30 minute walk along the river bank to reach the town centre. The hosts are just so nice, we really enjoyed their hospitality and the great breakfast.
