Guest Reviews
- Freeman (10/5): -
- John (8/5): Felt welcome and the cottage was great, - The breakfast spread was good, fresh baked bread and home made jam where a really nice touch. Just for the property appeal the outside areas could do with a little more TLC.
- Hannah (10/5): Great value for money - Breakfast provided was excellent value, great bread and all you need to make a good cup of tea.
- Bernard (9/5): Comfortable stay at a great location. - Great place for our family of 5 adults to stay for a wedding nearby. It had everything we needed for family members. Nothing
- Holt (10/5): - Privacy, excellent host. Well provided for breakfast Nothing
- Maryam safdari (10/5): - The location Driving at night, be careful of kingrous crossing on the road use beem lights.
- David (8/5): Loved it - Breakfast great Nil
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- Kara (10/5): - Very close to the wedding we were staying. Perfectly acceptable for a short stay. Fridge stocked with everything we need plus a freshly baked loaf of bread on arrival. Beds were comfortable. Roseann was so lovely and we were treated like old friends. She even offered us later than usual check out without us asking. Very accommodating! Such beautiful scenery and extremely peaceful despite being so close to the highway. That we couldn't stay longer and explore the area (that's on us though, nothing to do with the owners haha)
- Ella (9/5): A homely and comfortable farm-stay for fun with friends - This farm-stay was perfectly located for the event we were attending with friends. The place was plenty big enough for all of us to have our own space, including an ensuite bathroom with each of the 4 bedrooms. The homemade bread was still warm when we arrived and the extra treats (including eggs and bacon for breakfast!) were the perfect homely touch. The kitchen was well stocked had every cooking utensil or piece of crockery we needed. We loved that it had a homely feel and although we were travelling without our kids, it would have been the perfect haven for them too. We didn't notice it, but if you were a light sleeper, you would hear the road traffic and the acorns falling on the roof. This didn't bother us at all though.
- Barry (9/5): -
- Nicholas (9/5): - The rooms and facilities were clean, the staff were lovely and we had no issues.
- Andie (8/5): - Loved the home made fresh bread.
The accommodation was nice and big with 4 bedrooms and each bedroom had an ensuite.
There were 2 boxes of cereal, 1 dozen eggs, a packet of bacon, 1 litre of milk, tub of butter, a container of both apple and orange juice , plus condiments.
Comfy beds, plenty of fresh towels.
And the lady was very nice.
We had a great stay. I would've liked a hand held shower attached. It would be great for people with disabilities.
- Kim (9/5): Very relaxed and quiet stay, close to everything - Very clean, well kept and comfortable
Fresh homemade bread!
- Christie (10/5): - Very close to the wedding we attended. Spacious property with lots of greenery. The owner made fresh bread, honey and jam as well as bacon and eggs. Very thoughtful.
- Burnham (10/5): Quiet and serene bungalow in the Yara Valley provided excellent accommodations. - The location was perfect for our trip. It was quiet, peaceful and a beautiful setting. Breakfast items were left in the fridge and included fresh eggs, juice, homemade jam and local honey. A fresh loaf of homemade bread was given to us each morning that was amazing!!
We were greeted by the host and shown to our bungalow even though we arrived after dark. The bungalow was clean with soft blankets and towels in each room. The host was friendly and provided us with a tour of their farm and allowed us to use their laundry facilities during our stay. We will stay here again on our next trip to Australia!
- Leanne (7/5): Would recommend to people - Proximity to the venue we attend. Although we didn’t cook breakfast I was surprised that it was all included and the amount supplied. Nice and quiet and private and will recommend Nothing really apart from maybe a better clean
- SERA (10/5): -
- Robin (8/5): - A comfy cottage well away from road noise and with a restful rural outlook
- Jakob (10/5): Perfect - Our friend was getting married in the area and we decided to stay at Dixiglen Farm. Everything was perfect and the host even made fresh bread, provided bacon and eggs as well as home made jams and honey. We definitely recommend and will stay here again should we have any future events in the area! Nothing.
- Megan (10/5): - The location was perfect, short walk from the venue. The breakfast was amazing and the place was cozy. Highly highly recommend this accomodation!
- Glenda (8/5): -
- Shane (10/5): Enjoyable - Friendly and comfortable. Homely touch with fresh bread was a lovely touch. no complaints
- Briony (10/5): -
- David (8/5): Very solid yarra valley accomodation - It was conveniently close to a wedding I went to, and on the main rd, without being noisy at all. Nice touch having home made jam and honey and freshly baked bread for breakfast. The aircon worked well. It had everything you would need. Nothing much, the place is a bit older and therefore price felt quite high for a sunday night. A coffee pod machine or stovetop coffee would be good rather than instant.
- Cheryl (6/5): Ok for one night - Convenience to function we attended Maintenance needed .
- Scott (10/5): Great value and great place to stay. Thumbs up when in the area again we will without a doubt will stay there again. - Close to our event, very quiet, quite secluded even though it was right on the highway. Management were great showed us the cabin then left us alone. Cabin was well maintained and clean, bed was great and the shower was HUGE!! Nothing
- Gerard (10/5): The accommodation exceeded our expectations - The host was very fiendly and the breakfast provided was great along with the fresh home baked loaves of bread.
Each of the rooms had their own bathroom.
The house was situated within walking distance of the venue we were attending.
- Mark (8/5): Great value for money - Breakfast was good as you can make it yourself Not applicable
- Angela (9/5): -
- Anita (8/5): I stayed 3 nights which were quite relaxing. Roseann was friendly. If I were to stay in the area again, I would consider - I attended a wedding & it was close to the venue. The cabin was roomy & comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and shower was bigger than what I have at home. Bed was quite comfy. Very peaceful & quiet , even though there were other guests at neighbouring cabins . A nice welcoming touch with homemade cookies & bread. Being a farm I expected rustic but first impressions when I drove in I thought maybe needed a little more external maintenance. But area is rural & is a farm so ignored my first impressions.
- Helene (8/5): Lovely cottage stay! - Functional little cottage with a lovely yard next to the pony’s paddock which made our toddler very happy! Rose was the nicest host and made the most delicious bread. Nothing, we had a lovely time.
- Cate (10/5): Lovely farm stay in Yarra Valley - Location was fabulous to the event we were attending.
Fabulous breakfast supplies especially the freshly baked bread. Very welcoming & friendly staff. Nothing
- Tarryn (8/5): - I loved how central it was and the cute home made jams and freshly baked bread we recieved. There was no fans in the bedrooms so got really hot.
We looked for a barbecue facility...but we could find one for our unit.
- Greg (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at Dixiglen Farm. Fresh bread and eggs each day for breakfast. Large house with plenty of space for the family. Great location 5mins out of Yarra Glen. Would stay here again.
- Jake (10/5): -
- Lloyd (8/5): -
- Lucrezia (9/5): -

- Gabe (9/5): - Close to wedding reception No issues
- Julie (9/5): Excellent - The customer service was very good and the fresh bread each day was fantastic The sinks in both the bathroom and toilet did not drain well

- Timothy (10/5): -
- Vereena (7/5): -
- Nelly (9/5): -
- Sandy (9/5): - Breakfast was amazing! We all loved having freshly baked bread for breakfast, jam and everything. The little bag of goodies for my two young children was a really thoughtful and nice touch. Thanks Roseann for making our stay welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying there. It was a bit difficult to cook fried eggs/omelette on the frying pan. I guess non-stick cookware doesn't last long but we then managed to cook scrambled eggs instead.
- S (10/5): - Host was very accommodating and checked-in with me on our arrival date to confirm our planned check-in time. We were greeted on arrival and shown the accommodation as-well as some amazing magazines they had for local places of interest. Included breakfast was a large freshly baked loaf that was so light and crumby and was more than enough for the two of us on our short stay. We were generously offered more if we'd wanted though! Kitchen was very well stocked to make toast with the included bread, jam, and honey, which tasted amazing and fit perfectly with the rustic homey vibes.
- david (8/5): great facilities for a lower price than a normal hotel room - homemade bread and jam was good
roomy, very clean and had everything advertised
even had some extra toys and dvd to keep entertained thought there would be animals to keep son happy, but only 1 pony
not really part of the stay per se though

- Laura (10/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): Comfortable stay in a fantastic location - Had all the comforts. Comfy bed, great pillows, comfy couch, warm, cosy, super clean & fantastic location - close to Yarra Glen, The Chocolatier, Alowyn Gardens & a plethora of Yarra Valley’s finest wineries. Excellent variety of chick flicks too. The bread was amazing & breakfast was included. Could do with a mirror in the toilet/powder room space, to help with getting ready in the morning & tissues would be great.

She brought over a night light for one of our little ones who had left hers at home and brought over homemade baking while we were getting ready for the wedding. We highly recommend it!

- Carrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Regina (9/5): It is wonderful and comfortable. Suitable for large family. - The owner is friendly and show us around. There are many insects
- Critchlow (8/5): Very good - The cabin was ok. Beds comfy. The food supplied was good. Roseanne brought Lucy the sugar glider to visit. Very cute and then showed us the paddy melons, pony and emus. The spa didn't work. The water was brown. The farm was quite messy and rundown.
- Carla (7/5): Good - Amazing home made bread and jam for breakfast, home made biscuits made lactose free to suit my son. Friendly and accommodating host. Simple and quiet, just what I needed. No wi fi, but it wasn't advertised as included so I made my own plans.

- Donna (9/5): Quaint farm stay with wonderful hospitality and generosity with freshly baked bread, homemade goodies and quality breakf - Comfy bed and good air conditioning on an extremely hot night. The freshly baked bread, breakfast provided and homemade jams were a delight. The towels were a little tired and my personal preference is pure cotton sheets but this didn't bother the other visitors.
- Paulyne (9/5): Nice, comfortable place to stay. Hopefully will return !!! - Location was great, close to where we were having lunch. If it hadn’t been such a hot day we could’ve walked between the 2 places 😀
