• Jochem (10/5): Enorm hard van genoten! - Wat een fantastische ervaring hadden wij bij Beaver Hut B&B in Port Alberni! Dit verblijf heeft onze verwachtingen echt overtroffen en kunnen we dan ook ten zeerste aanbevelen. De accommodatie zelf is prachtig en vooral ook heel ruim opgezet. Je hebt echt het gevoel dat je een eigen plek hebt, met een aparte slaapkamer, badkamer, woonkamer én een gezellig terras. Dat maakte het verblijf niet alleen comfortabel, maar ook heel ontspannen. Er was meer dan voldoende ruimte om helemaal tot rust te komen. De tuin is werkelijk schitterend en zorgt meteen voor een gevoel van rust. Je zit midden in het groen, omringd door natuur en stilte. Voor natuurliefhebbers is dit echt een droomlocatie. En dan het wildlife... gewoon ongelooflijk! Vanuit de tuin hebben wij prachtige vlinders zien rondfladderen tussen de bloemen, schattige kolibri's die af en aan vlogen én als absolute hoogtepunt: een mama black bear met haar twee cubs! Dat moment was echt waanzinnig en iets wat we nooit meer zullen vergeten. Ook het ontbijt verdient een dikke pluim. Het was inbegrepen en elke dag werden we opnieuw verrast met iets anders. Een perfecte start van de dag. Een extra pluspunt voor ons als Belgen was de Nederlandstalige host. Dat gaf meteen een heel vertrouwd gevoel. Daarnaast was de host enorm sociaal en gastvrij. Je kon werkelijk alles vragen en niets was te veel moeite. We hebben zelfs samen gezellig op het terras gezeten, wat zorgde voor fijne gesprekken en een heel huiselijke sfeer. De locatie is bovendien ideaal: heerlijk rustig gelegen, maar toch dichtbij alles wat je nodig hebt. Winkels en voorzieningen zijn vlot bereikbaar en er zijn ook mooie wandelroutes in de buurt voor wie graag de natuur intrekt. Kortom: Beaver Hut B&B is een absolute aanrader. Rust, natuur, comfort, wildlife, heerlijk eten en een warme, persoonlijke ontvangst — alles klopt hier. Wij zouden zonder twijfel opnieuw boeken!

• Nicole (10/5): Super verblijf op geweldige locatie - We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Marja. Super vriendelijk en gastvrij. Wij zaten in het appartement boven. Omdat we heel mooi weer hadden konden we heerlijk buiten op het dakterras eten, met schitterend uitzicht. Voelde meteen als ‘thuis’. Alle voorzieningen waren prima, lekker bed, goede douche en voor de ochtend stond er lekker ontbijt in koelkast. Marja gaf ons de tip om bij Stamp River te gaan kijken naar de zalmen die daar 1 keer per jaar stroomopwaarts zwemmen en daar hebben we een zwarte beer gezien. Nvt

• Elena (10/5): - Wonderful location in the woods close to Port Alberni and many beautiful trails, falls and lakes. It was perfect to spend a couple relaxing days on our way to the west coast. The host was really helpful and the breakfast was great, with both sweet and salty options, delicious homemade muffins, plum compote, fresh fruit and she even brought us some homemade salmon she had prepared.

Ein mit sehr viel Liebe gestaltetes Grundstück direkt im Wald.Das Frühstück ist einfach toll!! Schade das wir nur zwei Nächte gebucht hatten. Ohne Einschränkungen kann ich diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen 😊👍

Very calm setting - would have liked more time to explore but we were en route to the ferry. The breakfast table was quite small. It is a bit outside Port Alberni so not especially convenient for shops and restaurants - but that didn’t bother us.

• Anne (8/5): A place I would stay again, good value for the money and a comfortable bed. - The location was very nice, out in the country. We listened to crickets all night instead of cars and sirens and it was dark, no streetlights! The suite was well appointed with comfortable seating and a TV. Hostess had already prepared our coffee for morning, all we had to do was turn it on. There was a nice assortment of goodies in the fridge for breakfast/snacking. It would have been great to have had air conditioning/fan in the bedroom as it would have made the temp a bit more comfortable. While the assortment for breakfast was great, it ended up there was only enough orange juice in the fridge for one glass and no extra around. It was an open container, we believe from the previous guests, and we think we just got what was left.

There shared with us a lot of facts about travelling around the world. We spent good time meeting and talking with them. Then, the room was really beautifull, and very quiet. No trafic around, just forest so we slept so well. We really enjoyed the breakfast, lot of things to eat and the smoked salmon was really good ! nothing at all !

• Jules (9/5): A country retreat - Large and comfortable rooms on the ground floor. The lounge room had 2 large chairs and a breakfast table. A continental breakfast was provided. It was handy to have a fridge. Our hosts were friendly and their love of fishing provided us with some tasty salmon. The noise associated with people moving around upstairs is always a factor to consider.
