- Ekaterina (1/5): - Nothing Disappointing stay. The room did not match the description. It was smaller than in the photos and missing basic things we expected, like a table. There was no heating, so it was cold at night. The walls are very thin — you can hear neighbors clearly, and even see light through the gaps. The hotel is under renovation, with constant noise that was not mentioned in advance. Overall, not worth it.

- Bas (7/5): Voor Zwitserse begrippen niet duur, maar voor €70 pp/nacht verwacht ik wel iets meer comfort in de slaapkamer. - Ligging in de vallei is prachtig. Kamers zijn super gehorig en heel erg klein
- Stacy (1/5): Not suitable to receive guests at this time - I managed to get a room with a private bathroom. In March 2026 the location is a building site, with exposed wires & cables everywhere; one room a carpentry shop with a circular saw and other tools; the yard littered with old appliances. Reeks of exposed sealant around doors. This "lodge" is actually a hostel and should be marketed as such. This means the level of comfort is suitable for a backpacker on a budget: very loud (thin walls), small rooms, shared baths, communal kitchen (description of place made it sound there would be facilities like a coffeemaker in the room).
- Jean-Marc (9/5): Endroit typique et stratégique pour qui aime les randonnées - L'emplacement est vraiment top, de là nous avons pu emprunter les transports publics gratuitement dans la région. La chambre avec douche et wc venait d'être refaite et était toute neuve. Une chambre avec deux double-lits superposés et un canapé-lit peut accueillir 5 personnes mais l'idéal c'est en couple. Vue sur les montagnes magnifique ! La maison et les chambres sont en rénovation complète, nous y avons logé lors des rénovations mais les propriétaires ne faisaient aucun travaux lors de notre présence. Une grande pièce commune chauffée par un poêle à bois permet de se tirer un café et soit de se reposer soit de jouer ou même travailler... Je recommande cet endroit tout proche du départ de télécabine pour le Schilthorn Piz Gloria et toutes les randonnées alentours. Les propriétaires sont aux petits soins et très sympathiques. Les améliorations sont en cours et les propriétaires travaillent d'arrache-pied pour les réaliser au plus vite.

- Michael (4/5): Will not return until after improvements to hotel are made - It was absolutely the worst mattress I have ever slept on or even sat on. The mattress must have been 30 years old and very uncomfortable with old metal springs pressing against your body. When paying such a price for a room I expect a minimum standard sleeping bed and this was absolutely unacceptable. The hotel was as expected, but the beds were horrible. I will not return until after renovations -

The location was so beautiful. We took the bus and it was only a few minutes walk, was easy to bring food and cook. was perfect for us.

The walls and floors are very thin- could hear everything the neighbors did or said. Did not sleep well due to neighbors coming in at midnight (kids having meltdowns), and neighbors slamming doors at 5am.

- Nicole (8/5): A cozy lodge in the middle of the mountainous valley - Absolutely gorgeous location, breathtaking views, so quiet and peaceful. We had a walk out balcony. Place was right by a very good restaurant with an outdoor patio and walking distance to the bus stop. The bus stop allowed us to jump to Lauterbrunnen each day very easily. There was also a water fountain right outside to get fresh water each day. To save some money, would highly recommend taking the bus to the grocery store (the last bus stop) called “Coop” to pick up your snacks and any supplies for you stay. I was worried about the wifi being bad in the mountains but it was completely fine. The walls were thin so my only complaint was that we had noisy neighbors. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and pillow was thin but regardless I enjoyed my stay.

Wir kennen das B&B noch von früheren Aufenthalten, als das Haus noch von einer Familie geführt wurde, die in dem Haus auch gewohnt hat. Heute fehlt etwas die 'Wärme' und das Gefühl, dass sich dort jemand um alles kümmert.

- SANJAR (10/5): - The location of the place is unreal. The workers are very nice and accommodating and the place feels very homey. The lodge is also very quiet and peaceful. There is a communal kitchen with all necessary appliances and even some items for free use and sharing within the lodge. Shout out to Mike for letting me fix a last minute reservation mistake!

- eve (4/5): Très décevant. - La situation géographique était tout à fait agréable. La maison se situe dans un endroit calme. La vue sur les montagnes est jolie. La chambre ne correspondait pas tout du tout à ce qu'il y avait sur le site. L'équipement de la cuisine est spartiate. Il n'y a aucun fauteuil sur lequel se reposer durant l'après-midi. La cuisine était sale et la vaisselle des autres personnes traînait sur le plan de travail.

They also provided The host was not as responsive on messages as should be. The phone number provided does not work. There was no heating radiator in the room.
- Abdullah (8/5): - كوخ في عدة غرف الغرفه صغيره ما فيها إلا أسره المطبخ مشترك و دورات المياه مشتركه فيه دورات مياه للرجال ودورات مياه للنساء في كل دور موقعه في آخر الوادي لكن قريب من السنتر حق وادي لوتربرونن في مواقفه بس كان قبله علامه مكتووب ممنوع الدخول بالسياره بس لما قريت في الايميل عادي تدخل و فيه مواقف سياره وسيعه تسجيل الدخول ذاتي يحطون لك المفتاح على الغرفه مدخله من الخلف المنطقه حولينه وسيعه اشوف مره مناسب للشباب اللي بس يبغون ينامون ويطبخون حتى العوائل بس اللي بيوفرون

- JINNY (1/5): - 주변 자연경관 뜨거운 물이 잘 나와요 주변 경치를 제외한 모든 것들이 끔찍합니다! 배드시트는 거칠하고 이불은 오래되 보이고 주방에 식기세척기 안은 온갖 음식물 찌꺼기가 가득했어요. 바닥은 한발자국 움직일때마다 삐걱삐걱 소리가 났고 옆방에서 소곤거리는 소리 방구소리마저도 다 들을 수 있었어요. 공용 샤워실과 공용 화장실도 마찬가지예요.

- Christal (7/5): Overall it was good. - The location was good. Beautiful area surrounded by Mountains and waterfalls. The walls were paper thin and we had some loud neighbors. Many people using community kitchen and didn’t clean up after themselves well. There were many more people in the building than I expected. We did not see any staff the whole time we were there.
- Catherine (7/5): Great BnB that’s more like a hostel - in a good way! - The location was beautiful and away from the crowds. There were hiking trails near the property. It was great. The shared kitchen was great. It had everything we needed. It was a good experience to meet other travelers. Our room was #500. It’s a great room except the location. It’s at the top of the entrance where everyone puts their boots. It can be noisy. Also, there is a 500 on the door but people would still try to open our door, even at night about 11pm and on check out day we had someone knocking at 0730 and trying the handle. The door does not muffle sound. The key is an old fashioned one with a large key hole and anyone can look right through it into the room right at the bed. If I had been a single woman traveling alone it would have been more frightening than it was annoying. These should really be addressed by changing the inner lock on the door and putting a sign up the says it is a private room and to neither knock nor try the door.

Las instalaciones eran muy básicas: cama sin sábanas (solo protector de colchón), solo un enchufe en toda la habitación (junto a la puerta), no se podían cerrar las contraventanas por haber una mosquitera fija, el edificio era muy ruidoso y no pudimos descansar en toda la noche porque se oía el más mínimo movimiento. La cocina común estaba llena de cosas y de gente porque la única sala común del albergue estaba "reservada" por un grupo durante toda la tarde-noche.

- Laszlo (9/5): Stayed here for 3 nights but should have stayed longer to properly take in the surroundings - A Perfect location with amazing, breathtaking views ! Room comfortable, hosts and staff were very helpful and friendly, got all the basics you really need for your stay. If you're taking public transport the bus stop is just really 5 minutes walk from the house.

- Danelle (9/5): A blessed 3-day trip to the Swiss Alps - My brother and I stayed at Alpenhof Mountain Lodge in Stechelberg for 3 nights. It was a blessed stay! ⛰️ Everything was clean and the staff also regularly came to take out the trash and clean the floors. You could also easily get hold of them by calling their number if there were any issues. A family staying in the room next to us arrived late at night and were confused about the amount of rooms they had booked. The lodge answered their phone call at that late hour and helped immediately! The shared kitchen has everything you need, is accessible throughout the night and has enough space to store your items during your stay. It is also a lovely space to meet other guests. We connected with the kindest people that are for life! Do note that if you don't have your own coffee, you have to pay for coffee pods for the coffee machine, but this is easily done. They have a machine to split bills into coins for this purpose! The showers do have warm water (a statement I make based on other reviews that mentioned that you have for pay for this, which is not true). You however have to pay the use the clothes washer and dryer. All and all, a great location with a hiking trail accessible from the backyard and the cable cars close by. (We recommend hiking to the Oberhornsee or surrounds, and grabbing some fruit or nut cake at Hotel Obersteinberg on the way up/down! To die for!) With riveting waterfalls right outside your window, this is a recommended stay for making lovely memories! Overall nothing! The lodge is however a wooden structure, so just be aware that you can hear the other guests and they can hear you. We slept like babies and it did not bother us, but this is just to take note of if you are more sensitive to noise disturbances.

- Tabetha (10/5): Amazing! Loved the location and scenery! - Location was amazing right at the end of the Lauterbrunnen valley! Stunning views! Close to Schilthorn cable car, so you could get to Murren or Gimmelwald easily. Great easy walking tracks along the base of the valley could walk to waterfalls and through farmland. Great access to the big hikes in UNESCO park as well. Not much else around in terms of shops and eating places - do be aware of that but for us we knew that and loved the location! Although easy to get bus about 20 mins to town of Lauterbrunnen. Bathrooms were good, kitchen had most amenities. Bus 141 was easy to get up the valley, came frequently.

- Turner (9/5): Beautiful location, quiet, and rustic. - Remote location away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. The bathroom was very small and only having one plug for 5 people was not great.
- Stefan (8/5): Perfecte locatie voor wandelaars en mountainbikers. - De locatie is perfect voor een lange wandeling naar de Berghotel Obersteinberg. De accommodatie bevat een gedeelde keuken, wasmachines, en een gedeelde woonkamer. Schoenen die je direct na binnenkomst uit te doen. De checking/checkout was erg makkelijk: sleutel zit in de deur. Weinig elektriciteit punten op de kamer. Let op dat er 2 heren douches en 2 dames douches zijn voor het hele complex. Dat gaat verder prima. De toiletten zijn schoon.

- Brandon (8/5): Great base for exploring the Jungfrau region! - The property was very clean and has lots of history and charm. Great location close to all the trails and public transportation. Loved the light that came through the windows each morning and the views of the waterfalls. Great dinning room for hanging out. Fun lighthearted atmosphere. Laundry available and well equipped kitchen. Friendly staff. The only con was the building is very old and you can hear everything. There were lots of families and sound of crying babies every morning was a bit frustrating but overall I was happy with my stay.

- Julia (8/5): Beautiful setting, great parking, uncomfortable beds. - The best parts were the parking and having a bathroom in our room! Bathroom was clean and wonderful!!! Staff was friendly too! :) The beds were very uncomfortable and the dryer did not dry our clothes.
