• karen (7/5): This turned out ok. Had beds, A/C, and outdoor pool. - We did not stay at Cabinas Maritza. It was fully booked. They put us up at Hotel d’Lucia, which was a last minute change. It was on a busy highway.

• Ann (8/5): Very good - The owners were very nice. The parking was relatively secure. The room was comfortable. They need a sign at the entrance as it was difficult to tell that this was a motel- it looked like a residence. The stairs to the second level are very narrow and difficult to navigate with luggage and mobility issues. I could not get hot water in the shower.

• Carolina (7/5): Good value for money - Maritza was very kind and available. the rooms are basic but everything was clean. Value for money is good. the hotel is not located in the most beautiful area but at the same time it is very close to carara national park and to some lovely beaches.
• Abigail (8/5): Quiet, budget-friendly alternative to noisier tourist areas - Maritza was very kind and brought us a coffee maker, mugs, coffee, and sugar. The property has a large, secure parking area and is conveniently located in a quiet community on the coast highway on the way to much pricier tourist areas. Although Quebrada Ganado is a small town, there are two inexpensive supermarkets and a least one restaurant on the same block as the property. The room did not have a "dining area" as advertised.
• Brian (10/5): Loved our stay - It's away from Jaco, so you can have a break from the flash tourist stuff, but 15 minutes drive to get back there if you like. Head north from Maritza to get quieter beaches, or Carara national park. The room is basic, no hot water available. Great for the budget price though.
• Venny (1/5): Bad - Nobody was in reception. We came around 5pm and waited almost one hour for somebody to come. Nobody responded to our calls and messages. We had to make new reservatin and travel in dark to the new hotel.

• Bianchi (6/5): Pleasant - The couple who run the property are lovely. A/c was working well. Onsite parking. Tight squeeze in the rooms, kitchen bench not looking too good. Only a bottom and top sheet no blanket. No soap given.
• Berkov (10/5): Exceptional - Maritza was a wonderful host, courteous and welcoming! We rented three rooms, and they were all very clean and comfortable. We loved the apartment and were able to use the kitchen facilities as needed for my aunt who has diabetes and for all of the food needs of our group. She also recommended a couple of local, tasty eateries for our group. Maritza was so warm with the elders in our group, and responsive when we left a pair of shoes, and found them so we could return to pick them up. I would recommend!
• Nancy (8/5): Clean, safe, pleasant. Perfect for 3 people to break up trip between Manuel Antonio Park and Poas Volcano. - Owners carried our bags upstairs Electric skillet to warm up leftovers Refrigerator No hot water because of the heat and humidity (not necessary)

• Diane (5/5): It was ok- felt a bit like staying in a single in a hostel or 1 star hotel. - Good location off the main road in the drive between Manuel Antonio area and Liberia area. Maritza was friendly and accommodating for our late check in. Hard to find entrance when we arrived at night. Not good English communication. Room was tiny and smelled like a smoker had been in there, even though there were no smoking signs.
• Ambar (10/5): Exceptional - Owner was super nice and friendly. Very welcoming. Close to some very good marisco restaurants and souvenir shop. She put me in a room anove her home because there was workers in the other building and didn't want me to be alone. Room was very modern, clean and nice. no hot water but wasn't too bad and the street can be pretty loud when trucks pass by.

• Domenic (8/5): nice little motel great for a stop outside puntarenas. - very nice place that reminded me of a motel in the US. close to restaurants and supermarkets. the owners were very kind and helpful and the town of Quebrada Ganado was cute and nice to wander around. it felt a little expensive for what you get, but that’s Costa Rica in general.

• Marcia (10/5): Great value for money - A lovely clean place. It's so good to be greeted by your name. Maritza and her husband are very friendly and welcoming. We were booked for one night but liked it we stayed another night. Big spacious room with a fridge, big comfy bed. Windows that let the light in and opens. Aircon and fan- we slept with the fan on. Close to beaches and mountain. A rare find. Thank you
• Simon (10/5): Exceptional - The owner of this lovely place are just so good people with a big heart. The owner brought us with their car to the next ATM because there isn't a ATM close. The rooms are clean and new. WiFi is perfect. Shower has a lot of pressure. Own freezer in the room. Supermarket 1 min walk. Bus station 5 min walk. It's a small village. Tranquilo and save. We would stay there again. Visited because crocodile tour was close to the place.

• Anne (5/5): Passable - The owner was very nice. She tried hard to work with the challenges we encountered with one of our rooms. The AC broke on the second day of our stay. In 32 degree celcius that's not fun. We were provided with a fan. The shower broke as well in one of the rooms and was no longer usable. No hot water in the shower.
• Jiří (9/5): Clean and nice place for a very good price with lovely hosts, quieter than it seems - Very friendly and welcoming hosts. We even got an upgrade to Standard Apartment with no extra charge, which was great since we stayed a lot more inside than we originally wanted - because of heavy rain. The apartment was very well equipped - AC, fan, lots of kitchen appliances, place to dry our clothes, parking behind a gate. It's quieter than it looks from it's location and the reviews here. And as a bonus you can hear and see the majestic Scarlet Macaws all around the town. ❤️ We booked this apartment on a short notice because the original one, which we booked via AirBnB, was not clean. So when we arrived to Maritza we were really sad and tired after long drive and failed accomodation. But she and her husband made sure we recovered quickly and had a really good stay. Thanks again for everything! ❤️ The biggest issue we had were the missing mosquito nets - we were bitten quite a few times. 😢 Please consider adding the nets to all windows. The WiFi was a little bit slower but managable. The kitchen did not have microwave oven.
